  • This video series takes place at Cedros Island in Baja, Mexico during July of 2023. Cedros has become one of my favorite fisheries that I have had the pleasure of fishing over the years.
    This was the BEST fishing we experienced during our whole week at Cedros Island. Heavy you irons and flat falls produced a lot of fish for majority of the fleet, but our group focused on SURFACE IRONS!
    Watching these fish swim all the way up to your feet and eat your lure right under your toes, never gets old!
    I cannot believe the amount of life the ocean held for us on this day.
    this will definitely be a day on the water I will never forget!
    This is only episode 4, make sure to watch episodes 1 through 3 if you have not already!
    Thank you all for watching, I hope you enjoyed this video!

    15:24 is the reason I go to Cedros Island to fish… wide open hookups on great quality fish for 2 solid hours that morning in that area. Surface/yo-yo iron cools off and I catch four more slow trolling Rapala/Nomad 30’ deep divers the next hour. Great morning!

      Such an incredible morning! Honestly, if you’re not opposed to trolling, you really could catch yellows the whole day!

      I’m usually pretty careful about that. If you’re talking about how I pinch the line to the rod, that’s intentional.
      Easy way to add a little more pressure without thumbing the spool

      I was using the Super Seeker 93H for those first 2 hook ups, and my Phenix Axis 909HJ and 1009HJ for the rest.
      Reggie was using a blue glass SS 10ft, customs color way for him.

    Question brother those long rods , what’s the cost to fly those down there? I’ve taken rods with airlines max length of 8 feet to Puerto Vallarta for $120. round trip. Great videos Always , Muchos Likes y gracias por compartir ! Translation Thanks for sharing 👍🤙🏽

    • @Dirty.Hookers
      @Dirty.Hookers  6 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve only gone with Cedros Sportfishing, and through them, everything is included in the price. No max length on rods, basically if it fits in the plane it can go, from my understanding.
      They use a 12 passenger charter plane, and load everyone into the plane, then put the rods on the ground in the middle.

      In the states I fish 40# XXX Izorline.
      In Baja or for tuna, I fish 50# XXX izorline

    • @Dirty.Hookers
      @Dirty.Hookers  6 месяцев назад

      These are all our rods that we brought. I know Cedros Sportfishing used to have spare rods for customers that didn’t have any. I’m not sure if that is still a thing or not though.

      This is at Cedros Island during the month of July as mentioned in the description. Our group has always gone through Cedros Sportfishing, however I do believe there’s 3 or 4 total outfits/lodges with their own fleets at the island
