Ingredients - 材料:
250g plain flour - 250 克普通面粉
120g brown sugar - 120 克红砂糖/片糖
15g baking powder - 15 克泡打粉(3滿茶匙)
240ml water - 240 毫升水
30g oil - 30克油(3滿湯匙)

Hello, I followed your recipe used 250g plain flour and 240ml water but when I mixed it with the flour, the consistency is not runny like shown in the video, mine it became thick and not runny. Does it mean I have to add on more water to adjust?
Hi, did you add 30g oil as well? 240 ml water is enough for 250g flour , if too much water, the result might be different, the cakes might not open up.
@@JCHENJKITCHEN yes I did add in 30g oil. All opened up nicely after steaming, however the cake feel heavy and got a bit bitter after taste. I wonder what went wrong 😅 got no talent to make cake
@@NicoleTanYN you check your baking powder, out date? if the cake taste a bit bitter , baking powder cause that, you reduce little bit, if you want a bit runny, add 10g more oil, keep try , you can master it .this kind of the cakes suppose a bit heavy.

你好!如果是这样的话,水稍微加小一点,你可以減至220-200ml,稀释度应该合适,也应该不影响发糕的起发度.
