Great Job, also so nice to see a video where thing just did not work out right the first time and was fixed to achieve the end result. BRAVO thanks for the video, I think I will get some TTIs now
Not to seem rude but the purpose of the inserts is not to increase backpressre u want as little back pressure as possible, the actual reason for using these is to prevent reversion which is exhaust gas reversing up the pipe this is what causes the dip in low and midrange torque.
I would have been interested in seeing how you reached into the pipes to feed the inserts through your hole. Seems to me it might be a pain in the butt.
One thing you said is not right. It’s reversion you’re preventing. It’s the exhaust traveling into open exhaust chamber slowing process. Torque things prevents reversion. Nice video though
The Infinit Ryda ah ok the pipes I ordered don’t come with plugs I think, I’ll see when they arrive, or I’ll figure something out lol, my Sportsters an ‘89 so I don’t have o2 sensors
B4 u drill get a center punch. Center punch where u want the hole. Then drill. Keeps the bit from walk-in.

👍🏼
There should be equal amount of space around the insert, the nuts you threw away where lock nuts, they should be tight going on. PS. Start over.
This video should be titled, "How Not to Install Thunder Torque Inserts."
You should have recorded sound before and after install too. btw.. what is torque converters you mentioned having too?
They don’t add back pressure they reduce the back pressure that is creating a reversion wave
Negative

Super interested to see if you think they add any performance. Great video!

Back pressure stops reversion
The high heat ultra paint MUST GO ON THE PIPES WHEN THE PIPES ARE HOT . OR ELSE PAINT WILL FLAKE OFF.
i am looking forward to looking at the rest of your videos. your bike looks close to one of ours.

It's a sweet ride!
Drive North thanks. I appreciate it. Make sure you stay tuned in. I have more updates.
Any noticable difference in the sound with the cones in?
BZRK 519 barely. Maybe a slight tone difference
What size lafs are those? 1 3/4” or 2”?
Are you using both the torque converters and the thunder torque inserts together?
Ralph Sara yes
I have a first ride video coming Thursday
Cool thank you! I enjoy your videos!
Were you getting popping or flames before with those shorty's
A little
What size thunder torque inserts did you use?
Ralph Sara 158

👍🏼 oh I wasn’t too familiar with that exhaust
@@theinfinitryda I like the two tone paint touch up
What did you use to plug the o2 sensor holes?
Lucien Von Buren it’s cam with plugs. Or do you mean the extra holes I drilled
The Infinit Ryda ah ok the pipes I ordered don’t come with plugs I think, I’ll see when they arrive, or I’ll figure something out lol, my Sportsters an ‘89 so I don’t have o2 sensors
Lucien Von Buren you can get bolts from the hardware store. They will work.
The bits no good brother time for a new set appreciate the video 🙏 👌 🙌
They work ok. Lol. They came from harbor freight.
@@theinfinitryda i got a few sets myself wwn one doesnt work i bust out the newer set lol
They came with locking nuts so they wouldn’t back off.
JACK FOUNTAIN it’s hard but they’ll come off
Correct you you are stopping reversion. Back pressure is a bad thing you don't want that .
It just felt like it was lagging
@@theinfinitryda did you feel a difference?
Shoulda did a start up with no inserts for a before and after.
Eh
The key is not to put too much pressure on the drill.
And use some oil on the bit.
spend that money on some nail clippers my guy
You sound like you’re from Cleveland
Lol. I am
Cobalt drills work better on every type of steel, even stainless.

I didn't know paul wall rode harleys lol
