Jacobs disdains his teams most loyal fans on a regular basis. In fact he cheeped out on the building of the new Garden by installing a substandard ice making system. So many times when the weather gets warm the ice melts and players skates get caught in the ruts and damaged by the concrete underneath. Good point. Aren’t the Bruins like next to last in scoring per game? 31 out of 32 teams in points per game isn’t going to go anywhere but out of the playoffs

@Gordoff-44 how long have I worked for the Bruins? 3! We're starting to look at the Jack Adams as a curse! In Boston Bruins history, we've had four Jack Adams winners 3 out of the four were fired within two years of winning the award ... Pat burns, cassidy, Montgomery The fourth coach to win the Jack Adams as a Bruins coach, went on to be Don Cherry! 😆
@kptrayers how can I leave out Claude? 🙄 Thanks for the reminder Somebody was talking about the "Jack Adams curse"... That's how I started this silly conversation probably elsewhere So these Bruins coaches won the Jack Adams... Don Cherry in 1976 - fired in 1979 Pat Burns in 1998 - fired in 2000 Claude Julien in 2009 - he wasn't fired until 2016/17 Cassidy in 2020 - fired in 2022 Monty in 2023 - and we all know what happened 18 months after he won So 3 out of 5 Jack Adams winners we're fired within two years of winning that award. Darryl Sutter won in 2022 and was fired in 2023. So perhaps there is some merit to the Jack Adams curse. Thanks for reminding about Claude. How can I leave off Claude julien? 🏆
Man, those Jacobs that own the B’s have a blind faith in Sweeney and Neely, don’t they? This is what a decade’s worth of mostly contending clubs buys you, I guess. Probably doesn’t hurt in the profit margins, either of consistently sold-out crowds and some playoff revenue. But sooner or later the glare of accountability has to turn towards them from the big bosses on high. No idea when. Through this episode, Sweeney still sits in the catbird seat. He’s GM so that’s his long-standing spot. Charlie Jacobs even opened last spring’s post-playoff presser with words to the effect of “First of all, I support Cam and Don in their efforts to bring a Cup to Boston and our loyal fans.” Something like that after expressing his profound disappointment. That effectively blunted any inquiries about their status after another playoff defeat. The sacking of Monty covers his behind and Neely’s for a sustained period of undetermined length. He assembled this club, likely in concert with Neely and their mandate to become bigger, sturdier and in his own words, “cause anxiety on the forecheck.” Sweeney gave the product to Montgomery with the expectation of presumably no less than maintaining their contender status. The Bruins played like a contender, all right but for a lottery pick. Next summer, these two guys will hire another head coach. No idea what the state of the team will be then. I’m wondering what realm of culpability could spur a scene of either of the Jacobs sitting at a grindstone in their office, sharpening a large, wooden-handled axe then leaning over to his office intercom and instructing an administrative assistant to “Send Cam and Don in here, please?”
Incredible how the coach is always the first to go and it’s never the GM who’s first. If Sweeney gives Monty the right pieces, the team and players are in a better position
DONNY, ya gotta get the locker room playing as a squad somehow man. Monty isnt the problem to be sure, esp with the amount of monies invested in those guys who play for us. Its way more about the B on the front then the name on the back type players are needed!
7:06 " we are going t get back to it, if it don't, it falls back on me in terms of player personnel" no it shouldn't, you should be relived of your duties.
But, what if it doesn’t get better? What if it stagnates or gets worse? Then you’re in the the same situation with an assistant LARPING as a head coach. When the players are slow, lack stamina, are soft in puck battles along the boards, can’t put a shot on goal for hours at a time, and are playing the ‘Ole!’ defense every shift…I just don’t see how chasing the coach away changes all that. Brainless. They should NEVER let jocks make these decisions. Look where it gets them.
This is why I want Cam Neely to Replace Don he will not address the issues in the reffing right now that actually are affecting the aggression of his veterans what happened to Carlo during the stars game is one of the most dangerous hits a player takes normally it's at least a major penalty then the same player ripped nikittas helmet off even the announcers addressed it your veterans mind set will not be their especially Brad after surgery and then watching that hit Brad stayed with Carlo the whole time He is an amazing captain but how can you overcome that fear of possibly being paralyzed by a hit like that and motivate your players to go out and be ready especially knowing sports betting is huge right now in reffing in most leagues
What has Sweeney done to have any type of job security? Let’s make horrible off season moves year after year and sign bargain bin players…great recipe for success.
Mr. Sweeney thank you for being this honest and pointing out the things the players and management will be concentrating on. Admitting is the start and you have won 70% of the problem now lets fix the 30% I take my hat of for you, for the decisions you have to make. All the best and i know WE will stand up again !!!
Hey don if the bruins go 8 9 3 in the next 20 games you should be fired!!! This is your team much more than Monty's and much more than joes!!!us fans are more than done with you!!!more than done!!!
Theres way to many players on this team that are way overpaid theres to many players on this team that are playing above where they should be slotted in this lineup
Coach will remain to be Joe Sacco -- no coach with dignity and pride will want to work under Sweeney & Neely. The not-so-Dynamic Duo have been dismantling what was once a championship team for the past few years. Dipshits.
Shoot... This is your fault Don, you traded out the future for nothing in 2023, you signed vanished vets in 2024, you signed a goalie to 8 years $66 000 000 extension who swallows 6-7 pucks per game. Just quit and find another place.
These Boston Bruins are Not a team, not yet anyway. At some level; it's still just a job to some people. Funny how Monty got fired the day after the first non-sellout game in a decade. Wonder what the box office futures are looking like? If im monty, im fine with this. Coaches have stats that they take pride in as well. He's talented and capable, this roster (can't call them a team, teams work together) is neither. I hope he sees the same good fortunes as Cassidy and just as quickly. Sweeney better find a fleet footed right handed shot on the double quick. A change in conditioning coach and perhaps nutritionist would do wonders. If only they had a couple hall of famers who are well known obsessives in each realm (#33 & #37). Maybe hire a hypnotist or Psychedelic assisted therapist as consultants to enhance the groups ability to play a more team centered game. This roster comes out slow and fades early in the third. It's nutrition, conditioning and confidence. Looks like a very expensive lottery squad right now.
Point 1. Maybe if you subbed some yutes in we may get out of neutral. Honestly, Potsy was the best facilitator on the ice and he's sent down? Merc looks pretty good too now that he's got his shot. Stop doing favors for dinosaurs, let the kids play. Point 2. Your team is huge, clear the FN net, screen the other FN goalie. You don't need to ask permission to skate to the dangerous areas.
Good Man. Time for a change, I think Monty was done after a 1st round loss, after winning 65 games, i know if Marchand hits that breakaway in gm 5 its a different story, but they just over after that. Not acceptable, last year if the win half of those 15 ties , they wouldve had home ice, but then again, just rollover in 1st round. I knew Monty was gone this year. I love sweeney because if we don't win in june...Your gone! This isnt idiot Jerry Jones and Dallas cowboys.
You start the season without your captain healthy, you're starting goalie doesn't show up so you can't work on special teams especially penalty kill Your new Star center Elias Lindholm gets injured and isn't producing Max Jones was in and out of training camp. I still can't believe we're anywhere near a .500 team. Thanks for your service Monty, sorry it didn't work out in the long run. Let's move on! Sweeney onto his 4th coach, wonder how he can justify this horseshit. Petty move to shitcan him because you couldn't get a deal done, especially going behind his back and telling Sacco he's next up before the season even started. Gutless.
As long as fools keep shelling out their $$$$$$ for this product, Jacobs won't hold anyone's feet to the fire. As long as he gets his $$$ for the overpriced seats, parking, hot dogs, sports drinks, WATER, beer, and extremely salted terrible nacho's nothing will change. Delaware North provides foods to thousands of venues globally and people who have been to other DN venues all say that the food in Boston is the absolute worst. Jacobs disdains his teams most loyal fans on a regular basis.
In fact he cheeped out on the building of the new Garden by installing a substandard ice making system. So many times when the weather gets warm the ice melts and players skates get caught in the ruts and damaged by the concrete underneath.
YES it would cost tens of millions of $$$ but they refuse to invest in a new ice plant but during Covid they installed hundreds of extra seats that are narrower to allow for more tickets to be sold, no matter how cramped the seats ALREADY were. Dough-Rey-Mee!
Shoulda won the cup Monty’s first year. Blow a 3-1 series lead, had to go.
Been a fan of the Boston Bruins for a very long time.
Not a fan of Mr. Sweeney tho'.
But....he is what he is.
So....No excuses now that Monty is gone eh Sweeney? I Guess we shall see.
so many Problems at this point
SWEENEY traded ullmark before signing swayman- he started camp late Because of that stupid play. debrusk and heinen walked 36 goals combined last year, you brought lindholm with 15 total. we needed A center YES. BUT we needed 2nd hand scoring in the worst way, we lacked goal scoring last year, and that was with geekie, fredrick with career years too, if we don't go get a goal scorer other then #88 we ain't making playoffs can't win 2-1 every game in the league
Good point. Aren’t the Bruins like next to last in scoring per game? 31 out of 32 teams in points per game isn’t going to go anywhere but out of the playoffs
@@user-mf4pl8tl9z yep not much scoring, i think there PP/PK will get better and maybe swayman, but they will need 2nd hand scoring Geekie, fredrick, coyle, lindhom, marchand,
zacha, brazaeu to put up 20-25 goals and i don't see that happening not this season
I think letting DeBrusk go was a big mistake that is gonna come back to bite them in the ass
Maybe not to make playoffs. Embarrasing to watch as a bruin fan now
Yeah and by the look on Pasta's face he knows it. But, in fact HE needs to stop passing the puck to the other team with blind passes.
Sweeney being Sweeney. 🤣🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Next Behind the B will be interesting!😂
Must see viewing as their episodes are. But in no way will they or should they delve into a man losing his job.
I expect the Bruins will handle this with class and tact as they always do. You're going to need to go over to vegas, florida, Montreal to get that clickbait
Not really there not gonna show much that show is run by the team
@@TheFoolintherainn How long have you worked for the Bruins? Asking for a friend.
@Gordoff-44 how long have I worked for the Bruins?
Well, back in elementary school days, I picked a bunch of blueberries to come up with 4 bucks to join the Bobby Orr fan club. 4 bucks was a lot of money back then! You could get 800 swedish fish from the Penny Candy store..
I'm not a particular fan of Cam Neely. Especially some of the crap he pulled this past fall. But, we needed a bigger jerk to take on Lewis gross. after what we learned about Gross via the Krug negotiation.
So there's your answer.
But we know you're not asking for a friend - you don't have any friends.
You're a fair-weather fan and a fair weather friend.
✌️
Good luck to the team this year and foff Don and cam. Harry has taught you well
fired 2 jack adams winners lol
3! We're starting to look at the Jack Adams as a curse!
In Boston Bruins history, we've had four Jack Adams winners
3 out of the four were fired within two years of winning the award ... Pat burns, cassidy, Montgomery
The fourth coach to win the Jack Adams as a Bruins coach, went on to be Don Cherry! 😆
Three jack Adams winners.
Coach Claude Julien was first
@kptrayers how can I leave out Claude? 🙄
Thanks for the reminder
Somebody was talking about the "Jack Adams curse"... That's how I started this silly conversation probably elsewhere
So these Bruins coaches won the Jack Adams...
Don Cherry in 1976 - fired in 1979
Pat Burns in 1998 - fired in 2000
Claude Julien in 2009 - he wasn't fired until 2016/17
Cassidy in 2020 - fired in 2022
Monty in 2023 - and we all know what happened 18 months after he won
So 3 out of 5 Jack Adams winners we're fired within two years of winning that award.
Absentee owners are only concerned with the "gate" and sausage sales.
@Gordoff-44 Like the Jacobs and empty suits of MLSE.
Fire Sweeney and Cam both BUMS!
Incredible how the coach is always the first to go and it’s never the GM who’s first. If Sweeney gives Monty the right pieces, the team and players are in a better position
You are next buddy
One Championship since 1972 is unacceptable,
YOU CAN'T FIRE THE PLAYERS BUT YOU CAN TRADE THEM
DONNY, ya gotta get the locker room playing as a squad somehow man. Monty isnt the problem to be sure, esp with the amount of monies invested in those guys who play for us. Its way more about the B on the front then the name on the back type players are needed!
7:06 " we are going t get back to it, if it don't, it falls back on me in terms of player personnel"
no it shouldn't, you should be relived of your duties.
Hit the road Donny
You set this team back years! You depleted the farm system and hid behind the play of Bergy, Krecji etc.
No accountability!
Hey what's the problem here bruins just decided to play bruins playoff hockey a few months early this season
They should have fired him instead of Montgomery
I will not watch the Bruins again until Dan Sweeney and Kim dearly are fired for people who actually embrace the Bruins culture.
I could mention many other things but the 2015 draft alone was enough of a mess up to put his job in jeopardy lol
You have a weird perspective.
As a Habs fan please extend him and Kneely {I spelled it right)
It’s a tough move
What has Sweeney done to have any type of job security? Let’s make horrible off season moves year after year and sign bargain bin players…great recipe for success.
What a load of pure Bullshit (Bearshit ?). The coach is only as good as the players he has to work with. Sweeney and Neely need to go
Mr. Sweeney thank you for being this honest and pointing out the things the players and management will be concentrating on. Admitting is the start and you have won 70% of the problem now lets fix the 30% I take my hat of for you, for the decisions you have to make. All the best and i know WE will stand up again !!!
Another scapegoat for your garbage team management. 'Changes across the board' Unless it starts with YOU DON it won't matter
Hey don if the bruins go 8 9 3 in the next 20 games you should be fired!!! This is your team much more than Monty's and much more than joes!!!us fans are more than done with you!!!more than done!!!
Sweeney and Neely =BYE 👋
I don't think firing one of the best coaches in the NHL will help.
Pointing the blame everywhere but at himself
Don has doomed the team
Theres way to many players on this team that are way overpaid theres to many players on this team that are playing above where they should be slotted in this lineup
ALL IN ALL IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO THE OLE GM DON'S NEXT IT'S THE BIZ LOVE ALLL THESE GUYS OLD SCHOOL MOVE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE GM TAKES OVER COACHING
You left your caps on
Coach will remain to be Joe Sacco -- no coach with dignity and pride will want to work under Sweeney & Neely.
Sweeney and Neely needs to go!
You don't need to ask permission to skate to the dangerous areas.
this guy has video. look first at the horseshit scouting staff. amateur and pro department. just brutal drafting for years.
🤣🤭🤣🤭🤣
He's a bufoon and has made mistakes yearly since taking over the role. He needs to be gone and have 0 input on any further moves.
You start the season without your captain healthy, you're starting goalie doesn't show up so you can't work on special teams especially penalty kill
Your new Star center Elias Lindholm gets injured and isn't producing
Max Jones was in and out of training camp.
I still can't believe we're anywhere near a .500 team.
Thanks for your service Monty, sorry it didn't work out in the long run.
Let's move on!
We're talking about everything but hockey this season!
🥱
I want my hockey!
Not this soap opera
