Cassidy and Monty both ditched with significant winning records. The next coach will be thinking 'I have two years max - even if we win most of the time, I'll be out'. This is before we consider that the current roster is weak, with very little on the horizon. Strange times ahead.
Firstly a massive thank you to Jim for what he has done for the Bruins. May God hold his hand over you and your family. Joe all the best to you taking over the reins. You have a stunning team and awesome players. Lets show the world how the Bruins gets up and reclaim the pride of the Spoked B !!! I wish you all the best !!! Gooooooooooo !!!! Bruiiiiiiins !!!!!
The Bruins have gotten slowly worse since Montgomery took over. I am originally from Maine and used to watch him play at the University there but as the Bruins coach he has not been good. The main problem is his incessant line changes. He inherited a #1 record breaking team and then when a bunch of players got traded, he started switching lines to find 'chemistry'. The problem is that he kept switching them and never let any lines play for 10 games or so to gel and learn each other's play style. Little things like skating speed, pass speed, position preference, shooting hand, etc. matter when you are playing on a line and if you are constantly being put with new people, you can't learn all that in just a game or two. They need to make some lines, stick with them for ten games, win or lose, then tweak the lines if needed. That's coaching 101 and I can't understand why Jim couldn't stop messing with the lines and just let them gel.
What's Bergy up to? He never lost a locker room. Led by example.had a never quit attitude.Ran an effective pp. And pk. Could he help get more out of our centers since we are pretty much stuck with the personnel we have? Bergy for bruins head coach!!
It was Sweeney's crap picks (Lindholm and Zadorov) that f'd the team. It was Monty who paid the price. They fired the wrong guy. Good luck Joe. Go Bruins.
Yes, let's get back to defense! Getting to the Cup in 2019 with run and gun offense was a fluke for that team. 2011 win was defense. 2013 even was defense until they tried to match Chicago's offense when they got to the Finals. Bruins win Cups with defense.
This was a panic move. Firing one of the best coaches in the league will bite the Bruins down the road. The team has many issues, one being goaltending. This is more of a GM problem than a coach problem.
They come out slow and fade early. a cluster of lumbering giants. not a team. Firing the coach the day after your first non sell out is a cynical move and i hope this one bites you in the ass just as quickly as the Cassidy dismissal. Don Sweeney is failing Bruins nation. Looks like you might need help in Nutrition, Conditioning and Confidence departments?
really liking how he’s talking to media and his plans moving forward. let’s go joe
Good luck, Joe Sacco.
Good luck cousin Joe!!! It's about time! You deserve this...Very proud!

Actually, Cassidy was here for six years. Players stopped listening.
@@artistseye1 Monty didn't get six. They just set a new bar. The point remains re: Cassidy's record, and he's been vindicated with his SC win.

*Reins. He's not in control of precipitation.

It falls on the coach always.take care jim.good luck
Bring in quenville
No more line juggling omg
I am.right there with you and I think the players weren't on board with it and it definitely showed. Let's hope things change.
That’s what I’ve been saying all along. I never understood it because it never worked.
This whole situation sucks....so bad. Monty should not be packing but, on that note, i wish Joe the Best....always gotta pull for a local kid.
Please be better then I hope you are Sacco help turn this team around.
Good Luck Joe. No one will have your back in senior management. Don't buy a house
He lives here! Medford kid!

Bergy is a cool dude, but he's never had that type of charisma. He led by example on the ice.
@@cascadesequence7307 do you see much charisma in the form of Joe Sacco?
@cascadesequence7307 not coaching material bergy & leadership on the ice
Leadership is a problem here
I'm excited for Joe and the B's.
Awesome joe Sacco
Good luck Joe 🎉🎉
Three words in the offensive zone.
Low to high.
Like this. Lay it down.
It was Sweeney's crap picks (Lindholm and Zadorov) that f'd the team.
It was Monty who paid the price.
They fired the wrong guy.
Good luck Joe. Go Bruins.
If Sacco had the solution, he would have fixed the problem. The problem is too many AHL players, and Sweeney / Neely need to go
1 title in 53 years. That's all you need to know about this franchise. Boycott Jacobs if you really want to make a statement.
Stop, get some help
I mean Vancouver hasnt gotten one in more than 54 years🤷🏻♂️😂
Joe isn't going to make a difference its the players not the coach
Yup players lots of free loader on this team.no leadership
Jimmy will end up in Nashville by next year and have a ring the year after that
This guy is giving me anxiety 😮
Insane that boston sacrificed jim Montgomery over don sweeney. Dude has done almost nothing to upgrade their roster.
Confident in our offense LOL HAHAHA
😂😂😂

Wish Joe and the bruins the best, but not Sweeney. He needs to go. Fans are sick of this.
Sacco won't be coach next season.
Stick to what you are doing? Great idea lol
😕

20 games in? Crappie hockey players with NO chemistry.
Done with the Bruins. Goodbye and good luck
Line juggling a big problem .free loaders on this team.swayman a bad influence in the locker room.leadership also a problem here
