Im re-plumbing my home with Pex pipe right now as under slab copper is beginning to fail. Always the cost saving is what motivates me to take on a project. Can’t say I enjoy it but it’s always good to learn something new.
Greetings from Germany! I'm very thankfull since I finally found detailled explainations about the technique you use!!! I will start from the beginning woth your video and take some notes^^ My house ist not going to be build soon, so I have time to learn a lot of things^^ Thank you again for sharing!!!
Been watching your build videos on my tv but I had to pull the RUclips app on my phone so I could tell you that you’re killing it dude! I’m enjoying the content and love that you’re building this home and saving on labor.
Man 1 thing that motivate me to do it myself is them crazy prices from people , people not wanting to work, or me just ending up doing the work over because some people have different work quality
Thanks for taking us along with you; as others have said really great problem solving with the working platform. Much more cost effective than the scaffolding Lowes/HD sells.
Great job brother! I just quit my job not too long back after my wife and I sold our house and moved to a more affordable area. I had built boats/yachts for the last 18ish years. This is our next goal for our family.
Thanks so much, brother! Congrats on having the courage to go after your dreams! As a boat builder, I’m sure you’re going to crush your next project. 🙏👍
@@darryldarks Oh, yeah especially when starships start to launch from south Padre. You'd make a killing from people who want to witness that, including myself.
Thanks, man! Yeah, I personally enjoyed the amount of walking space it gave me. I sometimes forgot I was on up high. Sometimes. Lol. Praying for your build, buddy. Hopefully, you can be open around the summertime. 🙏👍
Love it! I am doing the same thing here VERY soon in Del Rio. Although I have a master carpenter friend coming to help framing. If you need help with the interior over the next few months, please let me know. I'm a retired vet and would love to come out and help (I have my own tools). I wouldn't ask for anything. The experience and ideas would benefit me greatly. Just let me know.
Congratulations, buddy! It’s great to have help. I’m all set. The build is nearing completion as the build is a good amount ahead of the videos. Best of luck on your build. I’m sure you’re going to crush it! 🙏👍
Thanks for checking in on me, man. I’m still making videos. I have two videos in the queue right now. I just need to upload them. I’ve been in a mad dash to finish the house but the videos are on the way. 👍
Thanks so much, Juan! What can I say… I just respect the game enough to constantly be a student of building science and architecture. Books and RUclips are my biggest helpers. 🙏👍
I would live to know the number of man-hours you have invested in that wall and the rate in which you feel 1 hour of your time is worth. I feel like that is a calculation that needs factored in just for fun. You are not paying yourself of course but a dollar for dollar comparison would suggest we factor in labor.
how are you friend I watch your videos regularly. I like this frame house very much. I want to know from you, if I make this frame house in Bangladesh, will it be good? Here the temperature is high and the storm rains. Will I benefit from doing it here? I was waiting to know the doctrine. I love this three-story frame house. Please let me know the approximate cost in your country.
I’m great! How are you? Thank so much for watching my videos. I don’t know much about Bangladesh. Sorry about that. However, as long as you’re building your house on solid ground and you follow all the best practices of construction such as using the right sized lumber, nails, screws, etc. And, you’ve installed them correctly, you should be totally fine. Canyon Lake, TX also has heavy rain storms, especially today, and the building has held up fine. Thank God! I’m going to be releasing a cost breakdown video once the build is complete. So stick around. 🙏👍😀

I love those GRK screws. They go in so easy, and way stronger than other screws. Good stuff! Impressive work Darryl!
Hey Brandon! Couldn’t agree more. They’re really the only screws I trust at this point. 🙏👍
Great job building the front wall.
Well, thank you!! 🙏👍
Well Done Darryl and what massive savings!!
Thanks, Tyoki! 🙏👍
I loved the construction method, I'm from Brazil and I like to learn new techniques and you make it look easy, thanks brother
Brazil! That’s really cool. Thank you so much for watching the videos! More great stuff on the way. 🙏👍
You sir, are a bad boy!
It takes one to know one! Haha! 👍👍🙏👍
You did well . All the best from Canada.
Thank you very much, Mr. Campbell. Gotta love Canada! I’ve wanted to visit Vancouver for awhile now. 🙏👍
Great igenuity to make your scaffolding. Wall looks great.
Jerry! Thanks so much! Just trying to work smarter and not harder. Lol. 🙏👍
Once again Darryl your inventive skills are amazing. You should make your next project in Port A or Padre!

@@darryldarks no way lol I only get to work on it 8 hours a week, I easily have 1 year + of work still 🥲
Looking forward to your next video!
This entire build from stay to finish is amazing... I wonder what the cost would be for to build my own A Frame, like just the framing?
So, glad you liked it, brother! I’m coming out with a cost video when the build is wrapped up. 🙏👍

Couldn’t you measure to the short point and cut a 35* bevel? With a circular saw. I feel itd be safer but regardless, beautiful build man 🤙
There are a lot of ways to do it. Thanks for watching! 🙏👍

@@darryldarks Can this house be built in hot weather areas?
@@Dreamoflife247 Absolutely! It’s pretty hot here in Canyon Lake.
How long did it take you to do this and how often do you work on the house?
Too long. Lol. No, I’ve been building it part-time lately. It took me about 10 months to get it fully dried in, wired up, and pumped out. 🙏👍
