Brooks' drums under the solo is god tier. So many people took a shit on this record and I don't get it. It's friggin brilliant in my opinion. The musical brilliance of this band is insane. Syn has to be mentioned as one of the goats of metal guitar. Chefs kiss.
I listened to it first casually on my reg earphones and was like wtf? I then moved to my Hi-Fi headphones and have been slapping this album ever since. It's absolutely phenomenal uncompressed.
That's what I keep saying! I bought the cd and when I played it in the car it blew me away! It literally made me realize how much better CD quality is. So much so that I started to buy my favorite albums on CD. There is alot of music that sounds so much better now😅
He's definitely more chest voice in this album and not as nasaly. He did say he wanted to "not sound like M. Shadows" for this record. Been my favorite band for 20 years. So many reasons why!
the dude is seriously a top tier musician. just look at the writing credits for the album, he does basically every other instrument besides the orchestra lol
I really recommend reacting to The Stage of them. It's a banger song with a deep message. And its also very diferent compared with what you reacted of them. Music video of course.
It’s their best song ever for my money. Yeah I know they have other songs that are amazing and arguably better but it’s my personal favorite. Just everything about it. Perfect.
The video is a mixture of all the themes present in the album "Life is but a dream...". The construction site, the barcodes, the "Adieu" note, the skeleton reflection on the mirror, the "endless space/infinity", etc. Honestly, a full album reaction would be awesome.
I love seeing the gears both turning, and melting at the comprehension of the first transition 🤣 the new A7X album is definitely something that needs to be experienced in its entirety. Highly recommend allotting the hour or so needed for a single play through.
That nobody transition part before the second verse hits so hard live saw them in Nashville a couple of weeks ago with falling in reverse & Kim Dracula lol. The band goes silent for several seconds & all of the lights go out before the nobody voice kicks back into the next verse
Tonight the world dies, angels, Roman sky, and victim are some of their underrated songs. To me they are such beautiful songs. If you like guitar solos there are two in Victim that are just beautiful.
The song is a mindfuck masterpiece when they started they where a goth/jock band but this is fantastic and syn that i rather view overrated absolutely confirmed the hype, incredible guitar solo and the warped sound those are horns ,incredible song and a young chick nerding out about it gives hope
A7x is a prominently progressive metal band imo, they always switched genres between every album until The Stage, but their music was always progressive and experimental, Sidewinder from City of Evil, A Little Piece of Heaven and Lost from Self-Titled, Buried Alive from Nightmare etc
2 more things you should check out by Avenged Sevenfold. The first one is God hates us - Live at rock am ring 2011 and the second one is their live performance at the Grammy museum - any song! Really great performances both
Definitely agree 100%. Been suggesting live at Grammys for so long, especially roman sky,Matt's vocals are fire , absolutely incredible. Would Def recommend the whole set though ,their skills as musicians and their interactions with the crowd and each other is great .
Matt fucking killed the God Hates Us. He went so unbelievably hard. That 11 seconds scream is the best scream i have ever seen. The craziest part is that he had more in the tank. Didn’t even take a breath.
this is definitely an album worth reacting to. it's something completely different and I've been in love with it since it was released despite the very strong split between their fans on it. also I know im biased but Synyster Gates is seriously one of the greatest metal guitarists ever and is a top tier all time guitairist
I feel like it’s worth saying that the reason there is a split is also what she seems to really love and appreciate about the band, which is that this album’s sound is different than what they’ve done before. Hell, the songs from the album are almost different from the other tracks on the album. Lol
I definitely got the message that this was a brief period of awakening for the main character. Kind of like the brain in the vat concept. Singular conscious is all things and all things are one. The music went through waves of chaos and sadness in my opinion. Was quite a pleasure to listen to at first then watching the music video…. Really like this one
One of my favourites from this album..when that solo kicks hoooooly shit dude, I can safely say that at that very moment we are all the skeleton, just falling down the endless nothing/everything
Love all the Avenged Sevenfold videos! Would love to see you react to some Coheed and Cambria. They're a concept band, and the vocals are super unique. All of their albums except one depict major events in a graphic novel series called The Amory Wars that the lead singer has been writing for 20 years now. The story itself is not distinguishable through the music alone, but the music is just as amazing without knowing about the story itself. One of the most satisfying music experiences I've ever had is finishing a segment of the story and listening to the album that follows the events that happened. It really is amazing. If you get the time, I think you'd really enjoy them! Welcome Home is a good starting point, the video from Guitar Center Sessions is really well done. Delirium Trigger is also an amazing song that gives a good impression of the style they use to tell the story within the music. I always tell folks to start with The Second Stage Turbine Blade album if they're going to. Warning tho: You might get lost in this bands discography a bit, it can reallly grab you haha. Have a good day!
So, my dear, I found your "rayaction" when searching for my beloved band, AC⚡️DC: Thunderstruck. I came to my phone to comment on your pure joy in that video only to find AS "Nobody." I HAD to watch your response, reaction to it, as I find their sound saw ridiculous addictive. I've watched it probably 20 times over the last few months as it's a song and visual masterpiece in which you just keep peeling back the layers. It's brilliant, haunting, dystopian, and even tinged with Innocence and loss in Elysium. I will comment on AC/DC but I never really got reaction videos until I saw yours. And your choice in tunes is second to none 🤘
This song has a hip hop kind of feel to the verses mixed with that industrial machine revving sound that plays throughout, terrifying sound lol and then the music video is just pure existential space stuff lol
In a interview with m.shadow at the moment of the album release, he explained that he had experienced a little bit with DMT. DMT is the strongest psychedelic and is said to be secreted by your brain at the moment you die, giving you a near death experience. I am certain this song is about an ego death during one of his trips, loosing all senses of self, time and space.
The message of the song (and the whole album) in the words of M Shadows was to give the feel of an acid trip and view the out-of-body experience (intro and outro of the video) that comes with it. So it’s not so much an alternate universe like you guessed so much as viewing our one through different eyes
I think one of the best Avenged Sevenfold's songs, like also So Far Away and Afterlife. But it's completely different as a feeling - so much futuristic and divine.
You should check out “God Hates Us” Live. It is simply unbelievable. this channel and this album so much. This album has such a deep story throughout and i personally appreciate them for always changing it up and trying new things. I saw mixed reviews from fans on this album saying they wanted the old a7x. The band doesn’t want to play that style anymore. Syn literally said he doesn’t want to do riffs like Unholy Confessions. Its just old to them. If they didn’t change their sound, people would of eventually bashed them for everything sounding the same. This exact same situation happened when they debuted “Beast of the Harlot.” They got very mixed reviews but my god that album aged like fine wine once people got adjusted.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but please consider reacting to Brompton Cocktail by Avenged. It is one of my favorite songs by them because it is so bizar and catchy.
Unrecognized living legends. I don't see people realizing how good they are until they are gone unfortunately. They should be recognized as one of the best bands of all time in my opinion. They have so much good music it's insane.
If you want to really hear a heartfelt song that showcases the bands musicianship and his vocals, listen to “So Far Away” … sad song but a dedication to their former band member!!
welcome to “Life is but a dream” journey, you should listen in order from game over, mattel, nobody, we love you, cosmic, beautiful morning, easier, g, o, d and the outro. you will get the story from this masterpiece album
I was waiting for you to try the new stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should do the entire new album no kidding it’s the best they have got. Talking about changing sounds this album has 11 different colors(songs) in it considering you have like a 9 in real life😉
It’s now time for “Cosmic.” It’s beautifully written and the musicality is amazing. Drums and guitar for days!
Yes, Cosmic is a masterpiece.
Agree. Must do Cosmic!
Yesss
I'll wait for that "masterpiece" reaction.
Well let’s just hope they make a video for that

@@w122ArD CD's use WAV which is great, personally I prefer FLAC & vinyls.
In saying that, almost anything is better than MP3

This is such an absolutely brilliant album.
Synyster Gates guitar is absolutely amazing, not just on this song, he’s such an underrated guitarist.
And pianist as it turns out...
the dude is seriously a top tier musician. just look at the writing credits for the album, he does basically every other instrument besides the orchestra lol
He even played the piano for 5 minutes at the end of LIBAD. Hes my best guitarist of all time
underrated guitarist? my guy is literally in like the top 10 guitarists of all time on almost every list bro
yeah but a lot of people don't even realize that and just discredit him for being in a popular mainstream band @@Snippyyy
I really recommend reacting to The Stage of them. It's a banger song with a deep message.

Yessssss
Love it
It’s their best song ever for my money. Yeah I know they have other songs that are amazing and arguably better but it’s my personal favorite. Just everything about it. Perfect.
i believe the song is just called,. the stage.
The video is a mixture of all the themes present in the album "Life is but a dream...". The construction site, the barcodes, the "Adieu" note, the skeleton reflection on the mirror, the "endless space/infinity", etc. Honestly, a full album reaction would be awesome.

I second this
Literally the only disappointment is, I believe, it’s their shortest album to date.
@@clemthegoat8034 quality over quantity! ;)
@@clemthegoat8034 at least its not the type of prog that just has overly long songs for no reason

You should listen to gunslinger *LBC
I agree, even more from the LBC
Yeeesss 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥☠️☠️☠️

Best 'metal' album in years.. possibly ever. Just fantastic
Listen to Dethalbum IV. Brendon killed it this year.
A7x is a prominently progressive metal band imo, they always switched genres between every album until The Stage, but their music was always progressive and experimental, Sidewinder from City of Evil, A Little Piece of Heaven and Lost from Self-Titled, Buried Alive from Nightmare etc
Exactly!
one minute in and you got the "Prog" thing...impressive
I did not expect you to have nearly the identical reaction to this song that I did...thank you.
I've wondered if this video was a hat-tip to Tool...or inspired a bit at least
Highly recommend experiencing this album in it’s entirety, in order, to really get the full experience. Would be awesome to see your perspective.
For official videos, Mattel and We Love You off the new album are very good.
Otherwise, the G.O.D trilogy showcases just how different A7X can be.

FINALLYYYYYY i thought u would react to all the older music first so i was waiting for these

one of the things that made me mode love for living's when i see you and reacting avenged sevenfold again!!🖤
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country Live In The LBC
The message of the song (and the whole album) in the words of M Shadows was to give the feel of an acid trip and view the out-of-body experience (intro and outro of the video) that comes with it. So it’s not so much an alternate universe like you guessed so much as viewing our one through different eyes
6 months! I love and still listen to this song everyday
I think one of the best Avenged Sevenfold's songs, like also So Far Away and Afterlife. But it's completely different as a feeling - so much futuristic and divine.
You should definitely react to there song called Cosmic one day that song is amazing!!!
They were on a DMT trip when they came up with the idea for the song.
When you mentioned the psychedelic feel it made me laugh because Matt said the LIBAD album, especially this song was inspired by a DMT trip
YES! This is what I’ve been waiting for
The back half is so good, probably one of my favorite solos
Avenged sevenfold "nightmare" is awesome
i recommended !
it has a psychedelic feel because matt was ON psychedelics and its what inspired this song!
Pay attention in 5:19 minute that was orgasmic to Raya😂😂 i love your reactions. You need to hear Gunsliner in LBC

Saw Brooks rehearsing this song on a drum cam, now that's all I hear in this song
The amount of occult mysticism in these lyrics is crazy. Somebody in the band has studied!
This is easily one of the best solo's from A7X and Syn. Good job and keep up the good work!
Love the avenged reactions! Would love to see a throw back to the studio version of “second heartbeat”
Might be an unpopular opinion, but please consider reacting to Brompton Cocktail by Avenged. It is one of my favorite songs by them because it is so bizar and catchy.
its one of their best, that intro goes insanely hard
Would love to see a reaction to this album. So different from everything they’ve done but it’s so good!
You've arrived late, but i'm happy you're here at their newest album!
This is easily top 3 album and song for me. Its still a7x, but it feels so different. Actual living gods

Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare ❤️🔥
The need the rest of "Life is but a dream" now. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase😁
Next = Cosmic
I love how u think it sounds psychedelic cuz thats exactly what he is singing about, his experience of tripping and getting an ego death :)
Well, Cosmic is a must now
All Album is really great
I love their music
hi baby, you must to listen the whole song in this album sequentially from the first song until the last song, and felt the mind blow experience!
You have to see and give your reaction to M.I.A.'s song. Avenged Sevenfold M.I.A live San Dieg 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
The finAl solo make Goose bumps, synyster ❤❤❤
Cosmic cosmic cosmic cosmic pleaseeeeeeeeee
Was at the Salt Lake City Show Sep 30….with Falling in Reverse….BOTH are Must See…In My Professional Opinion!!!😂👍🤟🤟🤟
I highly recommend We Love You if you want more weird mish-mashed genre stuff from them the song goes places
If you are musically inclined... it's hard not to not stroke out listening to it for the first time
U said it has a "psychedelic" feel. Part of the songs inspiration is from M. Shadows doing DMT therapy.
You should Listen Gunslinger In live LBC 😢
Please listen to Cosmic I think its one of Avenged Sevenfold most unique songs. Also for this album they wrote all the songs on DMT.
it’s funny you say soundgarden, him and chris cornell shared the same vocal coach
If you want to really hear a heartfelt song that showcases the bands musicianship and his vocals, listen to “So Far Away” … sad song but a dedication to their former band member!!
She's actually already reacted to that, 4 months ago specifically.
Ya know the shit lit 🔥 when you can’t control the “stank” face from happening
Avenged Sevenfold ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Shepherd Of Fire
Just keep reaction to avenged sevenfold until you finish all their songs XD
Cosmic next!
That album is sooooo great ! Cosmic next ;)
I hope you haven't heald out to listen to the album. If so, go listen now. This album can not afford to be slept on
“adieu”, These words are related to the lyrics of the “(D)eath” song, and you will know what it meant at “Game Over” song.

bands like a7x and falling in reverse give me hope for discovering new genres in metal

Let's just say, if you've ever done any kind of dimethyltryptamine, this one hits different
Eargasms detected!
A7X upped their game with this song.
Most of the members sing during the concert fwiw, its not layering of his voice but the bands
Cosmic for next reaction
They did write this album on mushrooms lol
avenged Sevenfold - Unbound
Read the lyrics here too 🤓 It’s like a transcendental meditation
God hates us live rock am ring 2011!! Another style and arguably the pinnacle of his voice
avenged - danger line , when sis ?????????????????????
