So the Barbie kind of feel is PURELY a coincidence. This song was written and had been in production for years when it was finally released. The music video just took advantage of the whole Barbie craze. A nice little tongue in cheek moment from A7X. Also GREAT reaction as always :)

The whole album is a masterpiece. But again Roman Sky live at the Grammys,you have to do that . Them live and acoustic up close is awesome. Johnny sitting sipping on a drink waiting to play is classic.

This song was NOT planned to be connected to the Barbie movie at all, Avenged Sevenfold did it long time before they realized there was a Barbie movie coming out, it just happend to be almost at same time the song and movie released..
This album is a bit weird, but its done in a way making it kind of a masterpiece.. and it does make you think some..
plus, mattel is the toy company so that's why used barbie dolls.

True true Matt hasn’t done a lot of mid screams like that in his career, whenever he was younger he always did a high scream. It’s a stylist choice ofc, but their easier to do & he’s just getting older. He does mids on this album, also on the not ready to die single & maybe some stuff from the nightmare album.
It’s the gnarliest scream he’s done in years. I kind of hate the way he sounds on God Hates Us and other screams he’s done live in that era.
Couple left field A7X deep dives: Unbound (for just the bridge vocals) and Coming Home
The song G might still be my favorite on the album, but I'm loving the A7X journey!
Now you gotta cosmic from the same same album. It very emotional when listening to the lyrics. Also along the way you gotta listen to The Stage it leans to being progressive or listen to Save Me the production is amazing.

These A7X reactions so close together made my week seriously, love that you are enjoying my favorite band. Really feels great seeing someone completely vibe out to what you personally consider the crème de la crème of metal music. (also I personally got a totally different vibe hearing this song without the video first, and I prefer how I imagined it more than the barbie video added on, but to each their own - it was a fun video I guess)

Matt has a unique voice. Very love or hate it in some aspects. But his screams are beyond godly.
With the lyrics, M.Shadows was drawing a parallel between the Hot Wheels of Mattel to androids in the future. The song is being sung from an android's point of view, and it is calling on its fellow androids to assemble and revolt; because it has smelled plastic flowers, i.e. it has realized its lot in life, or its role on this Earth, and it sucks. Love it! The themes on this album, plus all of the great music, are just fantastic and mind-expanding.
