after so long i was thinking and hoping it was that, Nightmare has so much of The Rev tied up in it it's beautiful, same with LIBAD, they brought a lot of the Rev and his ideas back and it's incredible
@@tw20239 It might not sound like it but it is what The Rev said in the original recording, confirmed by the other A7X members on one of their breakdown episodes.
Save me is a masterpiece song. It’s just a shame they don’t play it live anymore. M. Shadows made a comment a couple years back that it’s such a long song and hard to perform. Fiction would make you cry because it’s the last song from the REV!! 🖤💙🖤
I'm 43. I found out my oldest son had a rare brain tumor when he was 15. This album helped me in so many ways processing my emotions while also mentally going through the exercise of burying him. I cry every almost everytime I hear Save Me, Victim, or So Far Away. My son is still alive but there are no promises as to when it will be over, so I live and love him like Seize the Day. Now I'm fucking crying writing this:( I love A7x because they just get it.
I hope at this point he's still with you. Stay strong sending good thoughts your way. 😊 if not so sorry, but the song Cosmic will tell you he's always here and everywhere at the same time. Free of all pain and suffering. Maybe even getting some lessons from THE REV.

Fentanyl was the cause. He was struggling with stuff but we never knew that. He was always happy and very good spirit kind of guy. Nightmare album has hit me harder than ever but has helped me healed. Avenged Sevenfold has saved my life when I was 13 and the music is there whenever I need it.
this is my absolute all time favorite avenged sevenfold song and i’ve never seen someone react to it, let alone feel all the same feelings i felt my first time listening to this song. it means alot to see other people enjoying and feeling this song as strongly as i do!
Dude, that was an incredible moment to witness. This is what it’s all about, to see how the music touches people so deeply to a point where you get completely lost and caught up in it… that is why this band works so tirelessly to create these complex masterpieces of art to challenge and even sometimes move their listeners to tears. I’ve been there too (with Cosmic especially), and while it seems sad, it’s honestly quite beautiful and amazing in a way to feel that level of emotion from a song. Thank you for sharing this. Hands down, this is the best Avenged Sevenfold song ever in my opinion. There's not a single one that had made me feel all kinds of emotions just like this one. Thanks for this reacton man, ur the bestest.
When I first heard the news when this album was being made and it was announced that Mike Portnoy would be playing drums on the album, I immediately knew that this album was going to be a banger because of how much the Rev idolizes Portnoy. Hearing this song specifically, you can hear Portnoy all over it. Even though this song never became a hit, this is probably one of the best Avenged Sevenfold songs ever written so far.
Not long after this album hit, I spent a few months thinking someone I'd dearly loved was dead, and I listened to this song a fucking *lot*. For me, this is one of their most significant songs.
@@fazbruhI agree that its the best song, I agree that deserves more attention, but I kinda like it the way it is, the real fans appreciate it a lot, however Demons is my second favourite song and im sure no one knows about it 😭😭

Got to hear this followed by cosmic on the rail in the pit on the LIBAD tour. It was the most out of body experience I've ever had and I left the show emotionally drained. Can't wait for the next tour. Thanks to the band for the deathbat club and perks, I wouldn't have gotten that close without the club.

I really do appreciate how you break down the production of the song and the instrumental and vocal work. But I really wish you paid more attention to the lyrics of the song as well. Especially a song like this. There's a very deep meaning behind this song.
It's overwhelming isn't it? It cuts you off guard and puts you into a hard spot in reality. It's been one of my most real life songs for a long time. Your tears at the end aren't judged. All I can say is welcome to the family.
Wow this might be the best reaction I've ever seen, it was so good, and so genuine. That was great, reminded me of not only the greatness of this song but the emotional control it puts upon you
GREAT REACTION!!!!! you're able to listen to the song technically, strip down the parts, the bass (THANKS!!!), the harmonies, the production, everything, but it's not just technical, it's accessible. you do a great job of also listening it with your heart and feeling the song. that's hard to do. amazing! and yes, this song is a masterpiece.
If this was his reaction to Save Me, imagine how he’d react to So Far Away. Bro this album had me fucking crying when I heard it. Became a huge fan literally 2 years before The Rev passed away.
The first time you starting talking about the panning, I said out loud “oh wait for the panning bro” hahaha. This song is a fucking masterpiece, enough said.
The absolute best part of this song is the dualing guitar underneath the vocals in the part of the song before the final chorus. It adds so much emotion to the piece and goes so great with the vocal delivery that sounds like someone in pain over the loss of a loved one. It really captures the emotions of frustration and grief that really drives the song home for me I'd also like to add that, while Portnoy did perform the drums for the album and concert cycle, the original demos for the song were brought in by the Rev. They were largely incomplete, though, so the song was stitched together by the rest of the band and Portnoy until we got the masterpiece we have today.
A small part of the solo, the super fast part before the melodic section towards the end, reminds me alot of And All Things Will End and the outro solo for second heartbeat that same general vibe. I also think the part after the solo when it slows down and the filtered acoustic part starts after the blistering fast solo is a methaphor for they lived life hard and fast but now reality kicked in and now everything is slow and dead around them so their completely lost on where to go next.
I feel like this would have changed your life if you would have heard it when it was released lol. This whole album was such an experience. The pure emotion you can feel from the band in every song is unmatched. Buried Alive & Victim are also great ones...
As someone very picky I could say that this is the only 10/10 album ever from any band! I've listened to many and there is always something missing! But here everything is perfect! No song that I dislike, no song that I would skip, No reason not to play over and over again
Thank you for being so authentic in your reactions, I love seeing the honesty in your emotions as you listen to a song! I also really love avenged and its nice to see someone connect with their music as much as I do. Thank you for all these videos, I look forward to them all the time, especially the A7X ones 🤘😝🤘

Thanks for showing us this vulnerable piece of who you are. Well done. I love your channel and I found you through ur a7X reaction journey. I'm a FAN.
One of the reasons I love A7X is their ability to make these long, epic songs that don't feel near their length. Something about how they switch up the sound, pace, long bridges, etc. Perfect examples for me are Exist, The Stage, Save Me, ALPOH
this is by far the best reaction vid I've ever seen. The combination of you technical/recording knowledge with your understanding and feeling of the lyrics is elite. Thank you for sharing your emotions with us
One of the most affecting moments I've ever had at a show was when the band played this and paused all the music for just the crowd to sing "tonight we all die young." I was not the only one in tears in the pit.
Avenged have a few videos on their RUclips channel where they kinda break down some of their songs, and Save Me is one of the songs they did, you should check it out
I had the exact same reaction when I first heard this song. I'm a musician and producer myself, and I have been a huge A7x fan since their City of Evil era. The Rev inspired me to learn to play drums and when he passed, I was completely heart broken. I remember buying the album, and listen to it while feeling completely down about his death. When this song played, taking into account that it was the last one of the album (not considering the deluxe version, which includes Lost It All) I just bursted into tears! To me, as a huge fan of the guys, this is their best song. You just can feel all the emotions they were going through while making it, and specially you can feel the pain for their lost mate! I just hope I get to see it live one day! Loved your reaction, and I hope you continue to explore more of their repertoire. Big hugs to you! It is so beautiful to see someone who feels art as much as you do!
You should really watch one of the few clips they sang this live. At the end, during the "tonight. we all die young" people started singing it with Matt, so he was like "ok, then, have at it"and points the mic to the audience. It was amazing.
Coming to this after hearing Life is But a Dream... it's just so tight and meticulously crafted like there's an OCD nature to it. So clean. Where as the new album is much more free flowing and experimental, makes you think. I love how this band is always keeping people guessing.
this is the best reaction video i have ever watched… so sincerely done, with so much heart and emotion.. you made it possible for this song to hit you the way it should hit most of us.. i saw me listening to it the first time when i watched your reaction 😁

I'd also like to add that, while Portnoy did perform the drums for the album and concert cycle, the original demos for the song were brought in by the Rev. They were largely incomplete, though, so the song was stitched together by the rest of the band and Portnoy until we got the masterpiece we have today.
I love how the guitar pans. You gotta listen with headphones. You won't be able to notice it just listening in the car
That's my favorite song of all time. Its a truly masterpiece
Spectacular song, written incredibly well. You have to listen to all their music. Talent personified.
Good to know I'm not the only one feeling overwhelmed every time I hear this song. Only Cosmic makes me travel (almost) as deep as this one does
total agree on Cosmic, and I wont see you tonight P1 hits also deep...
Watching this in 2024 and I’m so happy to say I saw them play Save Me live in March
One of the most genuine and lovely reactions I've ever seen; you got me super emotional too! Subbed.
When part "aaa" 9:40 make me remember Trashed and scattered, city of evil.. so love it💀✨
I’ve been listening to this song for almost 15 years, and it still fucks me up.
Stay strong brother. We love you.
This album is full of bangers, and this song is no different. Greatness.
I feel like this would have changed your life if you would have heard it when it was released lol. This whole album was such an experience. The pure emotion you can feel from the band in every song is unmatched. Buried Alive & Victim are also great ones...
i love this comment. very true. i’m the moment it was absolutely crazy heavy. Victim is my favorite on the album i think ❤
in the moment***
As someone very picky I could say that this is the only 10/10 album ever from any band! I've listened to many and there is always something missing! But here everything is perfect! No song that I dislike, no song that I would skip, No reason not to play over and over again
Thank you for being so authentic in your reactions, I love seeing the honesty in your emotions as you listen to a song! I also really love avenged and its nice to see someone connect with their music as much as I do. Thank you for all these videos, I look forward to them all the time, especially the A7X ones 🤘😝🤘
This song is a masterpiece
So awesome to see your RAW emotion to this legendary piece of music. You got hit with emotions and it floored you. And that's how I feel when I listen to this masterpiece.
Thank you for sharing your emotions with us
Buried alive next!!! That and save me are my favorites from this album!
This is what it's all about, genuine emotion from music.
How good is Portnoy's playing. Absolutely my favourite A7X tune
One of the most affecting moments I've ever had at a show was when the band played this and paused all the music for just the crowd to sing "tonight we all die young." I was not the only one in tears in the pit.
YESS FINALLY! i've been waiting for this since angel of salvation, galneryus, both of these songs are masterpieces
I love it
❤
This song literally saved me on my addiction days. I got emotional when you started crying. Props to you brother, great reaction. ❤
En chile lo tocaron en vivo como última canción y si, fue una verdadera locura ❤️🤟
Avenged have a few videos on their RUclips channel where they kinda break down some of their songs, and Save Me is one of the songs they did, you should check it out
Such a great song, long years hearing this, ALPOH is a work of art
This song is a unique masterpiece
Bro, I adore people that give this song love. It’s that good.
Side note, Mike Portnoy gave this album, and especially this song, justice. RIP Rev
