Happy to help! I wonder what % of owners use this bag? Probably pretty low. I rarely use mine. Mostly when I take the panels off I leave them in the garage.
Just came back to this today as I am ready for my first top removal, so glad I saved it when I first saw it. Sooooo much better than anything Ford ever did! Thank you for publishing such a helpful video!
This video was really helpful! I just took my front panels off for the first time since I bought it 18 months ago! It's a beautiful day here in STL...going for a drive! Thank you so much for posting this.
Hey I want to say I really appreciate your videos showing how to DIY a Bronco. Most channels start with a 45k+ version and then bolt on 10k+ of parts which is nice, but not my budget or my jam.
Appreciate the vid. I looked like an idiot trying to figure it out so I took the easy way out to watch a video before I started dinging up my bronco haha. Surprisingly all the ford videos skip over the bag part right after they take the tops off. Great work!
great video , i was toiling for an hour before finding this video.after watching it it took me 10 seconds to get the damn top in that bag which i swore was just too small
I just purchased the same bronco last week and would be interested in seeing how the spare tire on the back impacts the backup camera being that you went up in tire size
There is no impact at all on the backup camera, the camera is mounted to that post that pokes through the center of the tire, so size of tire will not matter at all. 33" tires fit with the existing center brake light, 35" will require some modifications to that light
@@BudgetBronco wow! Thanks man, the 2 door Bronco is hands down the most impressive vehicle I have ever owned. An absolute modern marvel in the evolution of the automobile. I have been selling Ford products since 1994. Todays line up and it’s “sold out” status for the 22MY is unprecedented! Such a unique time right now in that any of my Bronco, Mach-e, Maverick and even Bronco Sport customers all roll over the curb GAINING equity! The used market prices for all these vehicles I just mentioned are higher values than the build specs were new?!? Mind blowing and how Ford products are reaching such a level of exclusivity. Not just Raptors and GT500’s anymore now. This is only going to continue IMO, as products like the Lighting, Everglades, and Bronco Raptors have set a new standard of how people buy these cars. The Lighting for example, your reservation had to become an invitation then hope your dealer will get your allocation. Yeah… then let’s add in “do not sell clause’s” like say Ferrari or something?!? Are we joking? No.
Nice hacks here on how to pack them into that dang bag. Thanks! Also worthy of note: when packed in the back, you are now on side mirrors only. Rear view is completely blocked.
Good question...I think I can purchase the wrap for about $150, but I'm not sure yet if this is something I can DIY. More to come on that in the future...
Thanks for making the time for this, helpful. My White 2door manual base has been "in production" for over a month but my point is it is white and since I am copying your tire selection, I am now very curious about what your wrap/stripes were going to look like had you kept white!?
Ahhh sorry to hear you are stuck. At one point I was considering something like the first picture in this link, but instead of blue with white stripe, white with a green stripe www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/retro-bronco-graphics-slant-back-top-renderings.3770/
Thanks for the Video! Putting the panels in the bag is the hardest part and I don't like how the hardware rubs. I am going to buy a second bag I think. I think it is worth the cost. Also the panels do fit without the bag with the seats down if you are not using the space and just want to get the panels off/on quickly. Just have blanket there so you don't rub anything.
Ya with the seats down you can just throw them back there flat with something in between. Not the safest option though, if you get in a wreck that is 35 pounds of panels that is going to be thrown around. I get it tho, the storage bag is not super practical. But necessary if you want to take the panels with you and you have passengers in the back seat.
If you buy a 2 Door with a MIC hard top, the top panel bags are included! Note that in this video the bags are for storage of the ROOF panels, not the doors. If you have a 2 door, there is no solution for storing the doors in the vehicle, they are too long to fit. If you have a 4 door, you can purchase in-vehicle storage bags. Also note, Ford does sell storage bags for the 2 Door doors, but they are only for garage storage and the like, they are not for storing in the Bronco. All of these products can be purchased here: accessories.ford.com/collections/covers-and-protectors?pf_t_model=Model%3A+Ford_Bronco_2021
@@BudgetBronco I have a 4 door currently. Strange enough I find the “garage” storage bags, but not the “in-vehicle” versions on the ford website/everywhere else. I’m going to have to call the dealership I bet. Thanks for the reply!
I just measured and yes, technically they will fit if you don't have the front seats pushed all the way back. The bigger question would be, how to keep them from flopping around? You would need to rig some kind of system to keep them secured.
@@BudgetBronco i’m thinking of ripping out the rear seats and fabbing up a bracked to hold them like a rudder off a sailboat. Time will tell if its feasable. Still have a bit of a wait. 7/14 res, but BL Lux Tow Mod is a bad combo right now
That would be an interesting project. One good thing, you could use the seat mounting points and bolts as the mounting points for your brackets. Good luck and hang in there, it will be worth the wait!
There should be TWO metal latches. Those latch on to the two fastening points built in to the floor, to keep the bag from sliding around. I show this in the video.
Thank you for all the very informative videos! I have basically the exact same Bronco on order, except I went with Velocity Blue. Should be here in Dec. Question: do you happen to have the dimensions of the freedom panel bag with both sides loaded inside? I am prepping my garage and want to build a rack (similar to your door rack video). Thanks!
I honestly thought two bage were needed. I always have the back seats folded down so I guess I can't secure them. Oh well. Thanks for posting. Update: I've given up on getting them zippered in. Seems impossible. At least the panels are in the bag.
If you get them in there right it should not be hard to close the zipper! Make sure you have the curved side of the panel matched up to the curved side of the bag. Thanks for watching! PS I checked out a few and enjoyed your bee videos too.
Why would someone wants to put those panels inside the bag? Not practical at all. Just put the bag in between both panels to avoid them scratching and making noise.
I agree that there is limited use, but they do work well for at least one use case: when you want to drive when there is risk of rain, and you have people or stuff in the back seat, you need a way to keep the panels in the storage area. They are too big to lay flat back there on the 2 door, and if you just threw them back there upright they would flop all over the place. The bag is also a pretty nice way to store them in the garage.
Dude, those panels aint light. Get yourself a pair of shoes or workboots. Your way is a great way to loose a few toes. No work of anykind shoukd be done while wearing flip flops.
Ford should pay you. For doing their job. Thanks for looking out for us 2 door owners!
I wish!
Appreciate the thorough tutorial! Hopefully more owners can see this and get some use out of their panel bag.

What was with the brake lights coming on when you closed the tailgate at @8:07 is this just a standard "feature" on these?
Good eye! I guess just a feature. The interior LED light does the same, which is actually useful if you are loading/unloading in the dark
Thanks Tim! Used your video to put my tops in the bag for the first time! Subbed!
Good to hear! It is a little tricky the first time. Enjoy your Bronco!

Driver side (left) went in first

Glad you enjoyed it!
My only concern is being able to see out the back once the bag is strapped in the back…can you see out your rear view mirror?
Not really, with the bag in place it will block most of the view from the rear view mirror.
my bag seems to be too small for this, what can i do?
It is a snug fit, keep trying they will fit!
If you order with a roof rack- can you still remove the front panels?
Yes you can, but it is more difficult, you have less room to work with.
just a question. do you have any problems with the roof creaking and making noise? seen a couple vids abt it but i’ve only seen them in 4 doors
No issues at all for me. I have seen others with leaks and rattles, but none for me.

Curious why would you give up all that storage room and now you have a huge blind spot. In my 2 door jeep. Real estate is very limited.
If you want to drive with passengers in the back, and take the panels off on a day when it might rain, there is really no other option.
Thanks for the video.

You bet and GO PENS!
IT SEEMS LOADING THEM IN THE EXACT SAME ORIENTATION AS DID WORKS BEST. I HATE THAT THE CURVED POINT RESTS ON THE GROUND.
