Those roof panels are super light and easy to remove. I do however recommend rolling your windows down just in case you hit them with the panels. Great videos BTW
Good call! Yea, that could get expensive real fast!
Your technique was most impressive. I tried lifting mine off myself. I could have lifted it off but had no idea how I was going to set it down without dropping it and breaking the glass. So I called a buddy to come help.
Great job! Yea.... it was dumb of me to do... I need to build some sort of rack to put it on so I don't need to bend down. It's not heavy, just awkward.
@@NorthShoreOverland If you can build one cheaper than the $750-$1000 ones they make that would be the way to go. I don't have the tools to build one. I'm highly considering buying this one I saw for $750. Either that or the way cheaper one that installs on your garage ceiling and hoists it up with pulleys. I think those are around $300 or less.
i had a good chuckle when you crawled out from under the shell. well done. thanks for the video!
Thanks for sharing. You made me chuckle a few times...I, too, am one of those guys who try it first and then read the instructions.
Glad you enjoyed it! How else are you suppose to learn haha.
This is super helpful! Going to the beach this week and going to give this a go
Have fun!
Thank you so much for putting this out here! I just bought my new Bronco and have not taken the whole top off. Now I just need to see how to take racks off the top. ❤
Thanks! These are things I think about but haven’t seen anyone else do. 👍
Just be careful if you try it!
Nice work. Thanks for posting this. Takes some of the worry out of removing the top!
No problem. Got some door videos coming soon. Thanks for watching.
It looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Well done for getting the rear panel off alone !
Love it dude! Thanks for the video man.🙌🏽👏🏽
No problem 👍
Thanks a lot! I've got a 4 door Badlands with Sasquatch that's scheduled to be built at the end of this month, and every other video I've seen has 2 guys taking the rear shell off. It's nice to know that, if needed, I can do it by myself. Awesome video!
Thank you! Many more videos to come! Make sure you subscribe. You are going to love your badlands. I've never loved a vehicle like this.
Great job given it was your first time. I really appreciate the video!
Glad it was helpful! I'll be releasing the install video soon!
Very nice video! Love the 2 door badlands in AMB.
Thanks! Mine is black but I do love AMB. I can't beleive they are discontinuing it for 2022....
Gives me confidence to try it out. Can't wait to take it off and enjoy ours (2dr Black Black Diamond). Thanks a lot, man!
Awesome! I can't wait for the nice weather again here too. Now, I did do it on my own.... but if you can get a helper, do that for sure.
Solid vid thanks
You did a nice job showing how this is done, thank you!!
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for doing that video. Always wondered how hard it was. Still haven’t taken mine off
Glad it helped! Did you see me try to re install it on my own? Spoiler alert.... it's not a good idea ruclips.net/video/3H6MNeggI2Q/видео.html
Thank you for making this! All the other videos included removal of the roof rails, so I was missing the 9th and 10th bolts up front. Impressive doing it yourself, this thing is heavy af
Yea, I just had to try it. Never again. Maybe....
Great Vid! Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
wow this looks amazing with the doors and top off now I really want one ha
I can't wait till summer to cruise around with it off!
Great content man 🙌🏾
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Thanks brother, I'm just over 6' 230 lbs this gave me a whole lot of confidence of trying this on my own. But I still plan on getting a pulley lift system hooked up to the ceiling in my garage. Haven't gotten my Bronco yet, just got my scheduled for production date from Ford, so I still got some time to prepare my garage. This just gave me some confidence to try this on myself. Thanks big time 👍
Lol I'm 5'6 140lbs and try this on my Jeep Wrangler (much bigger), though successful , I Hurt my neck, and lasted a week with a stiff , painful neck lmao.
@@christopherlorenzo5842 yeah, I wrote that a few weeks ago. But I finally decided based on all the positive reviews the RollNJack around $700 for my Bronco that I have yet to receive 🫤. It was pretty easy putting together, sturdy enough. But what clinched my decision was the turning crank over some of the other products like the toplift pro that doesn't have it. The RollNJack is more precise when raising & lowering I think. Storing I feel is a little easier too. Good luck.
That’s a good looking truck with the 2 door in black. This video was helpful it reminded me of removing the top off my old k5 blazer long ago. Now I see it’s all 1 piece back there that’s good. If I decide to purchase one of these 2 doors is the full soft top a viable option or not recommended? I believe the hard top is included as well. Just thought I’d ask you may know. Congrats
Very impressive you pulled that off😂 Even if it’s not heavy, that was a balancing act
haha, yea, that's the hardest part. Def do not recomend haha
3 more weeks and I get mine!! Can't wait
You're going to love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Canadian kid playing soccer with a hockey stick... I love it!
How else would you play? 😂
If you have a factory roof rack, “YES” you can remove the front panels without removing the rack. But it’s tight and there is a trick…
Unlatch them, lift just enough to slide them rearward about 3 inches, then close the front latches so they are not hanging down.
You can then slide them out from under the rack.
Hey,
Love your videos, thank for the amazing content.
Any advice youd give for someone thats about to attempt this in the next few hours? lol
Thanks! Just watch your door corners and take your time!
Look into the toplift, nice thing I used for my jeep but they have one now for the bronco
Nice! Yea, I think I'll build some sort of wooden rack I can pull up too and slide it on.
I can't wait to get my 2 door Bronco!
It's amazing! You're going to love it!
@@NorthShoreOverland I'll live through everyone else who has them until I get mine lol. 2 door was no brainer for me
@@Lethal_Venom I have two kids and two dogs. Had to get the Two door. Looks amazing. And the short wheelbase is amazing in the woods.
@@NorthShoreOverland I have 1 dog and no kids but I think the 2 door looks so much better
Thanks, your tutorial was so much easier to understand than the official Ford Bronco video tutorial!
Thanks! Glad it could help! I try and keep my tutorials real.
Looks easy enough. That was definitely a 1 person job.
As long as you can lift 80 to 100 lbs over head, it's no problem.
Great video! I ordered my 2 door on 12/22/21….maybe I’ll get it next year.
Now where is the video of you putting the roof back on by yourself!?
Thanks! Oh I tried.... here's the video
ruclips.net/video/3H6MNeggI2Q/видео.html
Reminds me of the t-tops on my Camaro very annoying to take off and put back on
Yea, soft tops are nicer for on and off for sure. but, you gotta have one or the other.
Exactly the video I needed to see 👍🏻
I thought those 2 bolts on the top were only for the 4 door...? 🤷🏻
Nope. Found out the hard way haha.
That is because those two bolts on top did not exist on the early version of the 2 door MIC top! They have only added that bracket in the newer (also known as 2.0) version of the 2 door top. Presumably, to help prevent some of the rattle problems that some early owners had.
@@BudgetBronco oh that's awesome! Nice piece of information to know, thanks!
7:45 I had to laugh! You are the first I have seen that shows how many dudes will actually do it. We ain't spending money on a hoist for a few tens of pounds and who has time to wait for another person; when you want the roof off, it comes off.
Hey what wheels do you have on this in the initial picture for the video? Looks like center cap says xd? Thanks
They are Fastwheels HD Knuckles. Canadian company. Fastco.ca
First time here so THANKS! Took your advice and used cordless and it was like 10 minutes. Like you said, much better with two people to keep from scuffs. Only got one that will rub out. lol
Glad it was helpful! Enjoy your Topless Bronco!!!!
@@NorthShoreOverland yeah now I'm watching your video and others on how to put that thing back on by myself hahaha
@@crash6669 haha, don't attempt it!
@@NorthShoreOverland right now I am working on hooking up to my garage ceiling to Deer voice $15 a piece from Harbor Freight I think it's going to work
@@NorthShoreOverland soooo, when I get my rear glass replaced I will not skimp on the new pulley system I get... ugh
I have the same and I agree on that damn bag! I haven't quite figured out how to get them both in the bag easily??? Anyone else have a reccommendation?
A TopLift Pro will change your life trust me.
Yea, those look pretty sweet!
Does the 2.0 top squeak or rattle? Any special maintenance required like lubing or greasing?
It does a little... I just turn the music up! Lol
If you have a 4 door, you definitely need help with the middle panel and rear. I unfortunately cracked my middle panel on the corner when I dropped it putting it back on. 😐
So based off my understanding, can you just take the front panels off if you wanted to and leave the rest of the hard top/roof on for it to act as a sun roof as some sorts?
Yes you can!
Put the panels on the ground and slide the bag over them. Easier to maneuver the bag than the solid panels.
Nice, I'll give that a try next time!
Do you know if you can keep the roof rack on the bronco and remove the hard top?
You can remove the two front panels and keep the rack. But the rear portion of the rack attaches to the hard top.
Do a longer walk around and drive (not from the inside) with the top off. To see it good, the best looking truck 2 door topless. Dont put it towards the end or else other videos pop up and we cant see it
Will do.... once winter is over haha
Tire size please
Does your 2.0 top have the sound deadening headliner? Regrets either way?
It doesn't. It's loud but I just turn up the music haha
How about how long it takes to remove body panels and bumpers?
That would be interesting. Lets wait till the summer for that one though lol.
What engine do you have? The 4 cyl or the 6?
I have the 4 cyl. It's plenty powerful.
Nice video, as always. 👍
Question: Why didn’t you just ask for a little help? I don’t know if you noticed, but there was a random homeless woman in the background (5:31) rifling through your Bronco and sitting in your drivers seat while you were filming. If you had noticed her, you could’ve just asked for help. 😉
Haha, sometimes it's best not to make eye contact. Just to be safe.
I'd definitely wrap the handle of that wrench with some rubberized tape in case you bonk that window. It seems like it would be really easy to accidently do and really really sad if it broke!
YEA, that would suck. I"m more careful now.
Good idea, my wife should have hers this weekend and I guaranteed she’ll break a window taking the top off
What model and year is this?
21 badlands. In this video it had a 1 inch level and 35's. I now have a 5 inch lift and 37s
Would suction handles on the glass make this easier for one person?
Maybe... But my plan is to build a stand that is the height of the top so I don't have to bring it to the ground.
@@NorthShoreOverland cool. I’m just mentally workshopping how I’m going to do it by myself on my two door.
Does that bag come standard with the Bronco?
It did with mine. Never used it haha
@@NorthShoreOverland what trim level do you have? I have a big bend 2023 mid package coming
It’s a lot harder putting it back on solo.
YEP, I've tried and failed haha
Hi how much does it weigh?
A tad over 80lbs.
Is that the new MIC top?
It is yes. 2.0
They said the new broncos have the chassis of a ford explorer and the engine of a ford expedition is that true ????
No.... It has the same chassis as the Ranger. And either a 2.3 ecoboost or 2.7 ecoboost.
@@NorthShoreOverland thank you I was so confused about the bronco
Man are you serious..? Doens't that bag unzip all the way so you can lay it down as a mat and then put the panels on it and zip it back? I don't own a Bronco but that struggle of yours
messed with my mind big time.. Great car.
Nope.... It's a tight fit and I've never used them after that haha.
@@NorthShoreOverland Tight fit for that kind of curved panels..? Then, of course you don't use them, I don't blame you. They should make it with a zipper all the way around. Great car.
The QR code on the side of the bag, gives you instructions on how to put the panels inside. 👍🏼
nice! maybe i'll check out this summer if I ever find where I put the bags haha
Looks like it takes more time to get the panel in the bag than it does to remove the panel from the vehicle
Wouldn't know, never got them in the bag haha
Bro this thing it’s heavy 😂
haha. it's more awkward to handle.
But could you put it back on by yourself?
haha, I tried..... but no, I couldn't do it. Here's the video. ruclips.net/video/3H6MNeggI2Q/видео.html
I thought the side windows came off?
Unfortunately they don't.
Had me stressed out
Haha, sorry about that.
if starting rain u need 30 min or 1 hour to put it back to close and car will be inside full water lol to do this action every time is boring
There's drain plugs 😂
It's going be a no for me.
So hoping dealership can 👉 me in right direction of someone who knows what's up
Great video. Unfortunately, the Bronco is nearly impossible to get for many long time reservation holders. Ford's dealer allocation formula for 2022 prioritizes large volume dealers over customer reservations. Ford has all but abandoned their commitment to deliver reservations before dealer stock. For customers that reserved at smaller dealers who have fully embraced the Bronco, it will take years for them to get a delivery.
Did you ever get your Bronco?
Thanks for putting 2 unskippable ads on your vids dawg
No problem.... Sorry, I never changed any settings. Whatever youtube puts on there is what goes I guess.
@@NorthShoreOverland nah my bad bro i was frustated bc its nearing high 90’s and couldnt get sum stuff off
