Do any bug deflectors help with it?? Trying to pick one, but I haven't seen too many good reviews of the ones that have lights in them, because they're so square on the front of the truck.
Back in olden times, building R/C airplanes, we covered them with monokote which is basically a heat shrink film. I'm sure it's not the same as vehicle wrap, but this trick might work. I've pulled air bubbles out of tons of airplanes with it. That bubble is trapped air and if you give it someplace to go, it might stay stuck down. Try poking a very small pinhole, like with a sewing needle, into the bubble on the wrap, then press the air towards the pinhole. If you have access to something like an insulin needle, you can kinda suck the air out with the syringe, or just pull the plunger out and leave the needle in while you push the air towards the needle tip.
Thanks for the tip. I have tried this, it does remove the bubble temporarily, but it comes back in the same place. Maybe once the bubble forms the adhesive breaks down in that spot? Not sure. Thanks for the comment
Nice detail on the review. Was thinking about the larger air bubbles in roof wrap... wondering if you can't just take a sewing pin and prick them - then squeeze air out and then reheat that area to bond back to roof.
@@BudgetBronco I grew up and still live near Pittsburgh. I know a clown named Slippy The Clown. By the way. Just got my base build week. I'm going to the bigger tires you tried.
Your paint job on the wheels look perfect. I have painted steel wheels in the past but I just broke down the bead and reinflated after painting. different strokes, that's all.
I’ve chosen to try and get a bronco in the future. I don’t off road however but I just love how it looks. Im just not sure which trim to get and if I should get the Sasquatch’, I like how tires and lift looks with the Sasquatch package
If you are not going to be going on difficult offroad trails, I would recommend you skip the Sasquatch, and instead purchase bigger wheels, tires, lift from aftermarket. You will get the look you want and save a lot of $$ in the process. You won't get differential lockers or the advanced transfer case with auto engagement, but if you are going for looks that is my recommendation.
I painted a new base trim grille over the weekend following much of your content. I reinstalled it on my big bend and it looks awesome!! I would recommend spraymax 2k clear coat, it really gives a professional level finish and gloss. I appreciate your videos!!
AWESOME!! Very glad to hear that my video helped you. Spraymax 2k does look great but be careful, wear respirator and gloves when using it, very bad chemicals in that stuff.
You got this!! Good news is that worst case you might screw up the wrap and not be happy with it, but you won't screw up your Bronco. You can take it off and try again, or go another route.
Should have known you were in Pittsburgh with the way your garage is under the house, but didn't realize it until now. I'm pressed with how the grill and wheels held up through winter! Congrats on getting a new MIC from Ford. I look forward to seeing you try wrapping again or getting it painted.
Thanks Tim!! Still haven’t ordered one yet. But helpful videos like yours will most likely make it happen sooner than later. Current vehicle is a 2018 Jeep Wangler JK Willys edition. Keep em coming and I’ll keep watching!!
Thanks for your channel. Love what you’ve done with it. I like anything with a budget option. I know you said you weren’t doing fenders white but I’m curious to see what that would look like. I’ll look around to see if anyone else has done it.
great videos. love your content. Did you have to recalibrate your speedometer after installing the larger tires? if so, did you do it yourself or was it done by the Tire Shop?
Yes, with this setup your speedo will be reading about 7% lower than actual. I did recalibrate using FORscan. Search on YT and you will find some videos to help with that process.
Love how ya went with the retro looks. I was always surprised you wrapped your top vs. painting it like you did with the grill and rims. Have you ever thought about painting the fender flares white to match the top, grill, and rims?
Thanks! Mostly went with wrap because I did not want to be the FIRST to try and paint the top. I am going to wait a bit and see how it works out with others since I am now seeing on the forums some others have done it. I have seen some pictures of people that have painted the flares white, and in all of the pics I have seen I did not like it much. I think it is just too much white. So I am going to stick with the stock color on the flares.

I thought a lot of the plastic was because we can spray our Broncos out. I got the whole inside of mine wet. some guy got mud all on the inside of his and he literally hosed it out. It dried really nice!! Leather would never do that!
I am not against the use of plastic, just that the type of plastic they used feels cheap and is very easily scuffed up. I agree I would rather surfaces that are easy to clean. Thanks for the comment!
I heard a rumor that Ford will be introducing the color "Sparrow Blue" in the upcoming 2023 Bronco lineup. The color is a throwback from the original. I think it would look great with your white wheels and grill. Cheers!
Nice video, looking forward to part 2. Other than lockers for those who would “need” them, not really missing out by getting a base over getting a higher trim other than a few more bucks in your pocket. 😃
I 100% agree. If you live in the mountains, you probably want to get a Black Diamond or higher. But for light offroading the Base is a great option, you can add the things you really want and still save a lot of $$$. I will be talking about lockers in the Part 2 video so stay tuned...
Do you experience transmission noise when the Bronco is warming up/idling? I just got my Base and I've read a lot of people have this noise and it's freaking me out
I do not have any such noise. You've got a nice warranty on that new Bronco, I suggest take it in and have the dealer give it a listen! Worst case, even if they do not fix anything, you are now on the record with them and if it should become a real problem later, it should be easier to get attention. Thanks for watching
Hi Ken, ask them to pull up customer satisfaction program 21B49. It might not apply to you though, only for 2021 Broncos built up through August 11, 2021. You can also read more about it here: static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10202718-0001.pdf
Great video, your bronco looks great. I have a 2022 Big Bend 7 speed 2.3 and just returned from a 4800 mi. trip form Orange Ca. too Canadian border N. Minn. through Denver both ways, I reached a high of 25.1 mpg flat land and low of 17.3 in the mtn's., avg. speed 75 on the highway and total mpg of 22.1 on reg. gas for the full trip so I would say that is darn good for a barn door and only mod I made was a K & N air filter (ya, I know it will destroy my engine) I have put over 100K mi. on my Goldwing's & BMW's with it and never had an oil comsumption problem or engine problem. I have owned a 1974 Broco Sport and my son now has my 1973 Stropp Baja Bronco and I would not trade this new one for eather of them and that is why my son has the Baja and its original not a rebuild from parts.
What an awesome trip! I have not done too much highway driving so maybe I will get better MPG than I am thinking. Great to have lots of Broncos in the family. No I do not. Can't hurt to take it to a dealer and have them check it out. Get on their records, so even if they say it is nothing, if it gets worse or breaks in the future then it should help with warranty repair.
@@Clarkeisawesome hey mine does that. I actually have it in the shop for problems with the transmission making a grinding noise. If you find out what that is lemme know!
