      That’s because the only way you can order some of these trims is if you already have a order for a regular Bronco. I’d love to order an Everglades edition, but can’t until I get screwed with a wait time in a regular order.

    I'm not sure how I feel about the red lettering, but I like the return of pastels on these vehicles. I also like the retro inspired cloth seats. Reminds me of when vehicles actually had character instead of being big sliver and grey appliances with seas of black plastic for interiors. Shame these arent available as upgrades to any trim and will more than likely only run a model year or two.

      Yeah they should get rid of those digital screens and use analog gauges, get rid of the rollbar, put window frames on the door, get rid of the AC and power steering, use a rubber sheet instead of carpet, toss the stupid turbo engines and fuel injection and drop in a carbureted V8 instead, ditch those big tires and use tiny skinny tires with steel wheels, and while we're at it, let's get rid of the IFS and replace it with the super reliable dana 30 and manual hubs. So we can be true to the original bronco theme, of course.

    • @jmackinjersey1
      @jmackinjersey1 Год назад

      @@Skinflaps_Meatslapper EFI is way better than any carb set up, especially for off road angles. Carbs/floats don't like being at angles. EFI is also better when driving up and down extreme elevation changes. You don't need to stop, lift the hood, adjust the carb for higher/lower elevation changes, clean your hands, get back in and drive. EFI does that all, automatically.
      The roll bar was/is a major safety cage, and it made the frame a lot more robust, which is necessary in an offroad situation. Not to mention that it was a Factory Installed part back in 1971.
      Power steering is a necessity when wheeling, big tires or small tires. It is not easy to turn the wheel when there is normal weight on the front end. When you are wheeling and you have the truck at an angle, there is now more weight on the tire, making it harder to turn. Also turning the tires through thick/deep mud is easier when there is an assist.
      Big tires/wheels help navigate over large objects and rough terrain. Smaller/thinner tires make it harder to navigate, or you add way more time while going around the objects. The only time a thin tire has an advantage is in mud/water, but even then, you want taller tires.
      IFS is a lot better in off road situations. You achieve greater articulation, better handling on rough roads/washouts/sand/beaches/gravel. The necessity to stop, get out, twist the hub (that may not turn when you need it to) and then proceed through the mud or over the obstacles can hinder your experience and actually get you stuck, especially when you needed that momentum to get through.
      But I do agree that making the interior simple and analog would be nice. Also, a folding windshield would make it truly a heritage edition.

The endless supply delays and lack of 4 door hardtop has really soured me on obtaining one, especially with the current dealer markups as these vehicles are simply not worth the price. My other neighbor who lived right across the lane from us used to snow blow the kids a big snow hill for his kids to play on right in the middle of the lane blocking it completely. The neighbor with the snow thrower got so pissed off because no matter how high that he managed to build this snow hill he couldn't stop the Bronco driver from scaling up & over it. I thought to myself what a great little 4x4 that Bronco was. One evening I was having dinner when I heard a large noise in the direction of the snow hill so I went outside to investigate. There was the Bronco owner cursing & swearing because the other neighbor cut the back of the snow hill straight down & the Bronco was doing a head stand right on the grill. What's ironic is that they killed the FJ right before the off-road boom started. Sales of Jeeps and 4Runners were slumping a bit, then immediately after the FJ was killed both of those started skyrocketing. Japanese execs were even trying to kill the 4Runner in 2017, but were talked out of it by the USA contingent. That's why it took so long to get around to an update.

      Agree. The black plastic really detracts from the classic look. Body color fenders and chrome bumpers with matching chrome wheels would’ve been a home run.

    Bronco Sport is not a Bronco and definitely not part of the family. Ford should have called it the Pinto. For almost a year during 2020-early 2021, people would come up to me an say " I saw a Bronco, I'm not impressed (because it was a Bronco Sport), when are you getting yours?". Well, I am still waiting after two years (day three reservationist). Hey Ford try building the orders you already have instead of making new editions.

      none until end of 23 or into 24 if you haven't ordered one already. These are only open to existing reservation/order holders until some unspecified date in 23, and knowing how long it takes to get one from order to delivery, I'd say there's no chance of getting a 23

    Hopefully these 2023 model year Broncos are actually produced and actually DELIVERED to customers in 2023…not 6 to 12 month delays… and WITHOUT the eye-popping dealer gouging..oops, I meant “markups” that customers are faced with upon arriving at the dealerships. And that quality control improves.

    • @Matts000

      @shaneyy__ 2 года назад

      Well what are you looking to get without a markup? Most people are just wholesaling broncos and mavericks because they know it’s an instant profit. Blame the wholesalers who are basically telling dealers “I’m going to steal your profit.”

    • @MS-ht9it
      @MS-ht9it 2 года назад

      You always agree to a price before it's shipped. I paid sticker and haven't heard of dealers lying to customers, only buying any cancellations for themselves to sell at a markup on the lot. This adds to delays as basically no Bronco orders are actually cancelled and passed to the next round, those still get delivered to dealers and are likely sold at a premium. A lot of dealer sales rep "family members" have ordered Broncos and (not surprisingly) often back out upon delivery to the dealer 😀.

    • @mechmat12345
      @mechmat12345 2 года назад

      @@MS-ht9it Ford has issued a punishment warning to dealers adding charges to customer orders upon delivery so it's definitely happening. Also, most dealers are only agreeing not to add ADM to custom orders, and are marking up in stock vehicles. Ford also just announced that they are not taking orders from new customers until further notice. Add it up, and it will be impossible to get these without dealer markup unless you happen to be sitting on a reservation that hasn't been converted to an order and have a reputable dealer.
