First things first, I wanna wish the owner of this vehicle many years of happy use. I like his idea of a blank canvas and he can make it his own, As opposed to the way the manufacturers want to sell them to us. This reminds me of something I heard said about a Jeep. For ppl wanting to add big hp (void warranty), change out suspension, wheels/tires, and add other do-dads for off-roading (or racing), the base is not a bad thing. If you want more daily friendly creature comforts, adding more options is probably in your best interest and/or if you don't want to do the work, higher trims are better. I’m also a big fan of an all vinyl interior, and it allows for the mid level package option to be added. Which at $1800 CDN, provides a lot of creature comforts you’d expect in a 2022 model vehicle.

Ok. Hear me out. Nothing wrong with buying a base model. Focusing on lifts and tires for a Bronco, Ford offers the Sasquatch package from the factory. Why wouldn't you get it? A base Bronco with the Sasquatch if you want a lifted one. The Sasquatch pack is $4995. You can't get 35" tires on 17 inch bead lock capable wheels, 4.70 gearing and lifted suspension for $4995. A good lift for 35"s is $1300-1600, the tire Ford uses (Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT) is $1211 for the set of 4 on Tire Rack, and there is a set of OE Bronco beadlock capable wheels for $1700 on eBay. So even on the cheap end for a lift, its $4211 just in parts. That doesn't include labor and shipping. And guess what you STILL don't have after all that $$$? 4.70 gears which to install those is probably another $1500.

Cool, I know the press vehicles are usually loaded , it was nice to see a base model. Thinking of getting a 4x4 for my next vehicle and considering a base 2 door . Just doesn’t make sense that you can’t order a 2 door soft top , comes hardtop.
Also considering the frontier and the taco . Possibly even a Maverick if they come out with the slightly lifted 4x4 version that’s been rumored.
