For those trying to install the part 1 & 2 audio drivers, extract both folders first, and then right-click on the Setup Information file within each folder and you'll see the "Install" option. Hope this helps!!

OLED compatible is misleading. Per Steam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Audio drivers for Windows on Steam Deck OLED are currently being worked on, and will be available soon. Which is to say if you have an OLED model and you follow these instructions, you will not have Wi-FI, Bluetooth or Audio. You can find the Wi-Fi drivers on the internet but BT and Audio are not currently available.

Video deserves more credit. Simple and easy process. Did some windows tweaks to get everything running but so far KH3, MW, etc running smoothly. Thanks for the help. Just be aware windows is free mode not free. You'll get that watermark later which google can help with. I have tested this off internal and SD card. Didn't see much of a difference. @@FlowsPcs Nope. Instead I gave up trying it without a pc. I would advise you have someone use their windows pc and help. It takes like 35 min maximum and is way easier to figure out. Works like a charm though
Mine worked perfectly, set it up on mine and my sisters, once downloading the IMG file (not torrent) I used the etcher flash onto the micro sd and then chose the ‘ssd/microsd’ file from boot manager
with your tutorial, can you setup extermal memcard as steam OS and external memcard as windows? then can you choose to boot vice versa by holding power and volume up? or do you need a separate memcard for steam OS?
@@JesTheBarber With GOOD Wi-Fi I wouldn't recommend you do it at work, it can take up to 11 hours (happened to me on vacation) but I would recommend you keep this sort of thing at home due to time's sake.

Hey I love your videos there super helpful however I’ve run into a troubling issue! My steam deck on windows 10 does not have sound even with the drivers! The problem I have is my steam deck does not have the set up option in the files an I’ve looked up the issues to find that others have the issue without a fix for it! I watched a video saying it’s windows updating making the sound drivers obsolete not sure if that’s true but I’m hoping you could make a video on a fix for it!
On the drivers file there is no “install” you have to right click into the driver file that has an icon and then click install. It’s super weird and hidden like that

yea it works but you have to sacrifice your micro sd card with a lot of space lets say you have a 64 gig steam deck version because you are poor and cant afford one with 512 gigs then you buy a micro sd card for cheap But then you need to sacrifice it to put windows on and If you want to play gta v WELL YOU CANT because its a 64 gig version gta is 100 gigs So Yea u need 2 micro sd cards LoL

I am having an issue downloading the Windows drivers onto the SD card. I copied the files, but there's no paste option available, so now I'm stuck. Other than that, Windows has downloaded successfully

The one thing missing is the explanation on how to set the password ,it took me a couple times to figure out what you meant😂😂😂 as I then realized you meant the user/admin password 😅
my league of legends bottles method for league of legends wasnt' working anymore after a patch. so i decided to make the switch and you just earned a sub and a like my friend. didn't take long. One note for people. I had to do this method twice cause the wifi drivers didn't copy for some reason the first time. so if you don't see them after you open windows then just save yourself time and do it again.
Wouldn't recommend, windows can't really read that filesystem, even if you manage to get it to install on said system it would simply overwrite any files made in Linux
Great work dude, you earned a subscriber. One question, do you have to have a 1TB SD Card? I was confused about that because Windows only takes up like 20GB. Is that just because it was originally formatted to Linux and that's taking up the whole partition and you have to format it to be exclusively Windows?

LEGEND did all this just so I can install xbox accessories and update my xbox controller firmware so I can use it on the deck lol will install stuff like GOG on the deck so I can play Witcher 3 maybe epic too so I can play hunting grounds and battle hub so I can play Diablo 4 fun times. Yes. SD cards aren't really meant for the spaghetti of read/write speeds of windows. Will nuke your card pretty quick. Brand New, fresh out of the package my card lasted about a month and a half. (Samsung Pro Plus A2)
Can you hotswap 2 SD cards with different OS? For example can I just unplug my steamOS SD card and pop in the windows card then load up a game and vice versa, or is it gonna mess with saves, data, OS or anything?

Dude that screwed me up big ti n e right when I got my Steam Deck. I never figured it out, I ended up just having n g to download roms from NY Steam Deck instead of my laptop which was a lot slower haha

8gb will not be ideal. I wouldn’t use an 8gb. 128 or higher. Thanks for watching I’m glad I could make it easy!
Memory is super cheap right now too brotha... even just off Amazon you will find a 128gig micro for like $20 I'm guessing

Just know that it may make your sd cards lifespan a bit shorter. I don’t think it’s much of a problem but it’s there

It will be laggy as you're running it on an sdcard, which is way slower than your SSD.

Is that just because it was originally formatted to Linux and that's taking up the whole partition and you have to format it to be exclusively Windows?
Yeah it just takes up all partition. Once you go into windows and release partition, you’ll have all your original storage. For me as well it’s a 1TB!
Love the content , I have a question do I need to run steam OS on a different micro SD to be able to switch between Linux and Windows or can I keep it on the decks internal memory and still get the same effect?
Steam os is on the SSD. Windows is on just the micro sd.

Are you able to move this over to the internal storage or download games onto the internal storage I’ve heard people saying that when downloading destiny 2 onto an Sd card it runs poorly compared to when downloaded onto the internal storage

I wouldn’t recommend putting windows on an SD card as it will kill it very quickly due to the constant read/writes

LEGEND did all this just so I can install xbox accessories and update my xbox controller firmware so I can use it on the deck lol will install stuff like GOG on the deck so I can play Witcher 3 maybe epic too so I can play hunting grounds and battle hub so I can play Diablo 4 fun times. But might need to expand my storage first

People say installing windows on sd card will be slower than on ssd and could possibly shorten the lifespan of your sd card. Is it true?
Yes. SD cards aren't really meant for the spaghetti of read/write speeds of windows. Will nuke your card pretty quick. Brand New, fresh out of the package my card lasted about a month and a half. (Samsung Pro Plus A2)

Can you hotswap 2 SD cards with different OS? For example can I just unplug my steamOS SD card and pop in the windows card then load up a game and vice versa, or is it gonna mess with saves, data, OS or anything?

Dude that screwed me up big ti n e right when I got my Steam Deck. I never figured it out, I ended up just having n g to download roms from NY Steam Deck instead of my laptop which was a lot slower haha
