And I'm here screaming at the screen "forget Laurel Gates being Tyler's mother, just let it go!!"
Exactly. Like Wednesday literally spelled it out and read the documents. It’s already implied that Laural and his mother are two separate people 😭😭
Yeah, The Mom and Laurel are totally different ages.
lol yea I didn't get the insistence 😂
It's not that serious lol
Yeah so clearly it is not his mother..
They actually showed a picture of Tyler's mother and Anthony is still calling her Laurel Gates! 😂 Good job Kasey! Great detective
She is not Tyler's mom. When she said "Make mama happy" she was just using it as a general phrase. His mom really did die and was a student at Nevermore, and a Hyde.
Man I remember when they first announced Ricci is doing a role in this. I thought how sweet of them to let her have a special appearance. Well didn't expect her to be the big villain.
She was also a substitute. Thora Birch was originally given that role, but she dropped out due to creative differences.
I did *because* she is Christina Ricci!!!No way you put '90s Wednesday in a spin-off about _another_ Wednesday and you don't make them fight in the end!C'mon!! I suspected her to be the monster as soon as I saw her muddy boots in ep 1,then I was spoiled by Twitter about Tyler and THE MOMENT the Sheriff said Laurel Gates had drowned I said:"SO THAT'S WHO '90S WEDENESDSY REALLY IS!!!!!😲GARRETH'S SISTER!!!"and I *NEVER* fell for the misleading flowers and inaccurate portrait!!>^
@@Nicamon Congratulations! You get a cookie.
@@jsaint1471 I want a cookie too bro! Don't be stingy bro!
@@horatiogamble7036 Free cookie to anyone who likes this or uses an insipid little picture
If you look at the fencing picture Tyler's mom is on team Morticia captained. Making Tyler's mom around same age as Laurel's older brother.
The thing still is, Weeks said they stopped Hyde's from attending Nevermore 30 years ago. Was that because of something Tyler's mom did? Idk how old Faulkner was, was Tyler's mom the Hyde that killed him?
Wasn't Garrett Gates killed 30 years ago as well?
@@elizabethstrong6057 I assumed Nathaniel Faulkner was from further back in time, since Weeks said others tried to study Hydes after him. But I do think there is a further story about why Hydes were banned 30 yrs before and what happened to Tyler's mother. Maybe we find out in next season. 🙀
@@christamarch947 that's what I assumed too. It just seems weird that Garrett Gates was killed 30 years ago, and Hyde's were banned 30 years ago (at least, I think both were 30 years ago?). I know they weren't related at all but I wonder if they're going to somehow tie them together, even if I can't imagine how.
"It's not always what it seems like"
* Suspects the sheriff every time till the end because hes not sympathetic *
Some people don’t understand why Enid got upset about the Nightshade society but the thing is, she’s the gossip girl and knows everything except that so yeah. She wasn’t just being upset at Ajax!
Right, she was just sad at being excluded from the Nightshades.
Next season she's gonna be a nightshade member.
Source: me hahaha
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 i wouldn't say sad. more like her pride took a hit because she was the one who usually knows all the gossip and news. and having not known about this kinda got to her.
That and she was a little miffed at Thing being a member of the Nightshades too 🙂
Also...these are teenagers...who will behave and be teenagers...she is a teen girl...this reaction makes total sense....a very age appropriate response, haha
She’s not the mom. She said: Tyler make mama happy just because she’s his master. Master/mama/daddy 😊
Ms. Thornhill isn’t Tyler’s mom… She was using him.
they literally said they were wrong in the video
Weird it’s almost like they already addressed that and literally said they were told already 🥴 but thanks! They would have never known without you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@badger8273 not a big deal but...when?
@@jsaint1471 16:30
LMFAO I love that you guys left your reaction to the reveal of Ms Thornhill being Tyler's mom even though it's incorrect. Loved watching your reactions!
Another early clue about Tyler being aware he was a Hyde was when he inflicted the damage on himself. He was self aware enough as the Hyde to know he needed to stage his injury to avoid suspicion.
but we don’t know if it’s split personalities. the therapist said he sometimes acts like a completely different person. also, it looked like he switched personalities when he confronted wednesday at the police station
But he could’ve been controlled by laurel gates. He’s getting forced to do what she asks
@@fskspeedy3841 I agree… unless he was acting like he liked Wednesday the whole time
@@fskspeedy3841 split personality, controlled by Laurel or being of sound mind doesn't change the fact the he was aware enough to stage his injury. Laurel wasn't there to tell him to maim himself.
just look at the eyes of tyler and the hyde..... gets obvious when the transformation is shown....
The "old" Wednesday against the "new" Wednesday...epic.
Seeing Enid wolf out and defend Wednesday was something I didn't expect...
Another thing I didn't expect was seeing Wednesday hug Enid.
Anyway I really enjoyed this series.
Sad that the original Wednesday pasted this week.
Using the "They stole Crackstones Land" excuse is such BS, considering Crapstone (Intentional) stole it from the outcast first.
Well, people with that mentality always arrange it so they’re the ones who’re being wronged, regardless of what the facts show. They’ve perfected the art of mental gymnastics & playing the victim.
OMG enough with Tyler’s mom!🙄🤣
How did you think it was ever the mother, there was no clues to it being his mother. Then they even say his mother was a Hyde and we know the gates were normies and hated outcasts, so it wouldn’t make sense for his mother to be laurel gates and a Hyde.
They got Tyler looking like a zombie from Plants Vs Zombies. I'm so excited for Season 2 of Wednesday
Crackstone wasn’t there to burn the school, he was there to kill all the outcast kids. Wednesday stopped him. Laurel freed Crackstone because he was cursed. If you knew a family member was cursed in hell, wouldn’t you try to help them if you could? She had been brought up with family being the most important thing in life. That & getting revenge on the outcasts.
Also, outcast kids are probably outnumbered 10,000-1, so it’s unlikely that they could take over the world.
THIS! - It is not just about the kids at the school. It is about getting rid of ALL outcasts in the world, starting with the kids! There was no plan for burning the school down.
10000 to 1 is likely much to low. Perhaps a million to one? It is the classic vampire dilemma; if the prey awakens its pitchforks and torches time.
Crackstone is a supernatural sorcerer and a fanatic. He also seems to have some training. The kids vs Crackstone would likely have them all killed. He is ready for outcasts, he has dealt with them before, remember?
You were way too confident about the mom thing, which didn't make sense at all 😂 If she was the mom then Taylor and his dad wouldn't have talked about her the way they did in previous episodes and they established that Laurel Gates was the sister. Also the flashback when Laurel and Tyler met.
The dad didn't know for sure because after he shot him he said "Tyler, is that you?"
Also Weeks and Morticia went to school with Tyler's mom. I think Weeks would have recognized her when she hired her.
@@christamarch947 and Wednesday points out the mother was a Hyde and if Laurel was the mother she would be a Hyde and she could just do everything herself and it be absolute Hypocrisy if she was one of the people she and her family hates
The Crackstone/Gates line all the way up to Laurel are normies that is till Joseph being brought back to life as basically a zombie.
Laural Gates (Thornhill) is not Tyler's mother, and she isn't a hyde. Tyler's mother died long ago. Posted this before seeing the note in your video about knowing that.
Tyler distracted Wednesday with the date so Laurel Gates could get the book and stabbed thing.
"They could take over the world"
Calm down Voldemort 😂
Her reffering to herself as "Mama" was metaphorical, not literal
Lmfao just because someone calls themselves someone’s “mommy” doesn’t mean it’s their actual mother lmfao! Listen to tone and read the room hahaha
Watched the whole series and it’s funny early on Anthony said “I watch shows and try to pick up all the little details” while missing all the little details & even blatant details this whole series😂. He was so focused on whatever details he was seeing that he missed all of big details that’ll helped his theory. But that’s what makes these raw reactions so great! Love the videos guys and I love the wild theories 😂
So pissed they killed Weems! Gwendoline played that part so well. Here's hoping that somehow in that weird universe she comes back.
Me listening to his "theory":
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ajax could have been so much more useful. All he had to do was take off his hat and stone Crackstone, Tyler, and Gates, then knock them over and shatter them. But I guess Eugene was right when he said "That gorgon is a moron".
I wonder if Goody entering Wednesday can serve both as a power up and a disruption in the future. Morticia says Wednesday needs to be trained, but so far we didn't see any actual training. Wednesday still needs to discover her power more, and although she can't see Goody anymore, I feel Goody's presence still has to be influential in some way
Also I don't get why Morticia said Goody's revenge"pushed her too far"...before seeing her flashback I hypotized the one in the prophecy could be White Wednesday in Wednesday's body and Goody actually _did_ went into Wednesday's body in the end..but apparently only to heal her,not to possess her,so...what was the point of Morticia's warning??🤨
@@ciennadebose Mh...ok,this makes sense,I guess 🤔 but I still would like to know more about Goody,TBH because I felt what she did during this season was...a bit little.🤷♂I really think it would have been cooler to find out Goody was really a Villain all along despite literally having the word GOOD in her name!;-S It would have also been a cool contrast with Wednesday...Wednesday is all black and always talks like she's a scary person but, actually, she keeps defending people from bullies, trying to save their lives and protecting them from getting punished by teachers and Goody could be all white and having been a true victim in the past but currently being this decieving vengeful spirit who was just using Wednesday all along to achieve her own goals just like Tyler and Laurel did.
Sorry, but you're nuts if you think Jenna alone carries this show. It's filled with great characters and one could argue that Thing, if anyone, stole the show.
Yup apart from Jenna as Wednesday, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Emma Myers as Enid, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, Gwendoline Christie as Weems, I could keep going just about if not everyone were great characters they all carry the show just as much as Jenna as Wednesday no more, no less
laurel gates isn't Tyler's mom...
the fight between Crackstone and Wednesday was cut short due time time constraints, hence him seeming very lackluster. The plot was deep enough to keep you interested, but if payed close enough attention you pick it apart and solve it yourself, I clocked Thornhill in her first scene the close up of her red boots and sussed Tyler at the dance
You talk about the Outcastes taking over the world, however, when you do that you are forgetting what is called "The Angry Villagers Rule," which is why individuals with exceptional powers do their best to conceal those powers from all but their most trusted friends/allies.
Exactly! Even a hint of "the Outcasts taking over the world" would lead to them being hunted down & exterminated.
Yep. Outcasts are way, way outnumbered by normies, and magic/supernatural abilities can't always counter technology. A bullet can still take out most outcasts. The last thing you want is a wave of witch hunts...
Tyler is that type of person that thinks about zebras not horses when he hears hooves.😂👌🏻
I thought it was Thornhill from the beginning. But only because Tim Burton made Batman. The character never appeared in Tim Burton's, but Poison Ivy is part of the Batman universe. Thornhill looked like Poison Ivy and had the same hobby ;-)
I thought it was her BECAUSE SHE'S '90S WEDNESDAY!!!C'mon!!!What other proofs did people need???@.@
Good job Casey! It had nothing to do with the mom, except for the fact that his mother was a Hyde.
Loved the video. Can’t wait for season 2. RIP Lisa Loring, the original Wednesday ❤️🖤
Yeah. Very sad. :-( I was kinda hoping for a Lisa Loring cameo in season 2.
I can't believe how many reactors get hung up on the fire aspect of the end, saying that Laural could have just set the building on fire. Bringing back Krackstone wasn't to burn the school down, it was to kill all the outcasts. It goes back to her vision of burning all of the outcasts in the past. Like you said, the outcasts had powers. The sirens should have been able to stop him, along with the stoners. Both the vampires and the werewolves had super strength, yet a bunch of normies were able to subdue them all and chain them up. Likely, in the past Krackstone already had power to prevent the outcasts from overpowering him. Goodie wouldn't have given him powers when she locked him away.
So, his being brought back was to finish what he started. To remove any trace of outcasts from the town and it's surroundings and to recover his previous status that Goodie stole when she bested him.
I don’t get how y’all kept thinking seems weems was a Hyde when we already know she’s a shapeshifter 😭😭😭 I just found it funny how confident y’all were 😂😂
She's not a shapeshifter...Weems is!
@@Nicamon oops, I confused the names
32:00 Laurel admired Crackstone, she wanted revenge and him back.
She had to use Magic, there was no other possible way.
I like when she wolfs out
Me too!
Love how it tells you she found out about Tyler’s family and that she got Tyler to submit through chemicals and you go yeah that’s his mother.
I may be wrong but Enid wolfing out may have been because of her heightened emotions
Oh man you wanted that mom thing to work lol
He died so hard on that hill.
can we talk about how meta it was to see that the villain in the Wednesday show ended up being the original Wednesday aka Christina Ricci so cool 🤭
Highlights of the season... 1) cello scene.. 2) dance.. 3) scorpion dying.. 4) weemes as tyler.. 5) Tyler's outing scene..which was fkn dark af... 6) enids wolf out..7) thing stabbed..wednesday crying.. 8..thaat hug
The Yanni/Laurel reference has me crying😂😂😂😂😂
Torture a guy is probably on Wednesday’s bucket list.
How does it feels?? To have so many theories and be so wrong? He didn't know? His mother? Dude!! hahaha
26:38 "He came in here, lit like four spots on fire, and that was it". Hahaha, I thought the same on my first watch! How hilariously useless, lol.
32:05 Great call-out of the magical hypocrisy 😝
She's writing a mystery novel.So therefore, it's going to be themed.In mystery
If you're going to be commenting on the series the best way is to see a portion of it and then make a comment not talking while is in motion.
Just got done binging your reactions good job kasey at solving this case pretty good how quickly you picked up it that thornhill wasn’t Tyler’s mom!
Thanks for the Disclaimer cause I was about to write a paragraph insted of comment explaining that Lauren is not Tyler's mom😂😂
I dotn understand how it can be Disney like with all that killing and blood lmao
Is it just me or is Tyler like Billy Loomis 🤣
I really liked this show, it's not perfect and more like a Scooby Doo / Goosebumps kind of kids version of Addams Family meets 'Clue'. But even that has it's charm and fits with how the characters are written. All in all, solid show!
16:20 I called it…..you called nothing mate 😅
It’s been so much fun watching this with y’all! I can’t wait to watch season two with y’all.
I loveee the blast of comments when you guys watch a season finale. 🤣 Everyone has waited so long to give their (spoiler alert) comments 🤣
I've commented on most of your reaction episodes and I dared not say anything to give it away. Y'all are a lot of fun with your comments and reactions. Season 2 (and 3 has been confirmed, too) are going to be fun, too. Jenna wants Tim Burton to make her character a bit more evil, so we'll have to see if that pans out. Great job to both of you!!! I look forward to seeing your reaction vids next season.
Christina Ricci is 14 years older than the guy who plays Tyler. And Tyler knows her... does he really not recognize his mother? Laurel Gates was a teenager in Europe, faked her death, came home, immediately married the sheriff and bore and raised a child all whike living in Jerico and nobody recognized her... and the Sheriff was eager to revisit the Gomez incident when the last thing he would want would be revisiting what happened to the Gates family... dude...
"Christina Ricci is 14 years older than the guy who plays Tyler."Well...the guy who plays Tyler is 28 and played a 16 years old(and Jenna Ortega is 20 playing a 15-16 years old)...I don't think you can really rely on actors' real age in this show.😅
This guy still wasn't getting it through his that Laurel Gates and Tyler's mother are two different people, even after it was spelled out for him. 🤦🏿♂️
But on another note, Xavier turned out to be absolutely right about none of that stuff happening if Wednesday wasn't there. Had she gone away like he told her to then Crackstone wouldn't have been resurrected, Nevermore wouldn't have closed down, and Principal Weems might still be alive. A lot of people owe Xavier an apology, and Wednesday Addams is at the top of that list.
Lol, the reaction when the "what does it feel like to lose" scene was my fav! Team Xavier, lol. Love the video
"He's going to Hyde out" gives a whole new meaning to that phrase.
The crazy plot is the cornerstone or is that crackstone of a villain. They go way over the top when something simple would do. Some villains seem to do it just to prove they are smarter than their nemesis.
It is a shame the original Wednesday - Lisa Loring died recently at the age of 64. I sort of hoped they would have her play the principal for season 2 and maybe visit Thornhill in prison with Wednesday having 3 actress to play Wednesday on screen together.
There might not be enough Gorgons to achieve world domination. And she even said her power is not 100% effective.
Wednesday & Enid FTW. Wenclair
Lol, those are all fair criticisms/ questions at the end. I actually liked Wednesday alot more than I thought I would. I think you guys did mention one thing that I've only heard one other reactor point out. That's Morticia's warning to Wednesday about Goodie Addams! Because of that, I don't trust Goodie. Could've been a self serving thing for her to save Wednesday. I guess we'll find out eventually.
You guys have become my favorite reactors on this show. Although I don't like to figure everything out before the reveal. I like to be shocked & surprised. I like to just let a show be it's own thing and not compare too much because then I won't enjoy it. I appreciate you guys, despite some campiness, just letting the show be what it is and giving a balanced reaction. I don't make it past 2 episodes with alot of reactors! ✊🏽👏🏽🤣😎
LET THE MOM GO!! lol, I was impressed with how you guessed alot of it. But that part is wrong lol
Big question: If Xavier gave her a new phone how did the stalker get the number?
It's obvious. The stalker works for the service provider, they are a psychic, or Xavier called his own phone from the new one to save the number and someone else saw it.
Logically, there are only a few options. Either Xavier is the stalker, or is willingly or unwittingly cooperating with the stalker to the extent that he gave them the phone number to Wednesday's phone before he gave it to her. Or, the stalker is a ghost who can effect, or seem to effect, technology, ghosts can alter reality in all sorts of creepy ways. I feel like the writers wrote themselves into a bit of corner, as there is no other reasonable explanation.
@@sdagoth3037 If Xavier was the stalker, how could he have taken the photo of himself and Wednesday together, that makes zero sense !! Oh yeah, ghosts, really !!!
@@paulwest9474 I don't remember the details of the photos after all this time. I wasn't paying attention to that bit during this reaction. But have you never seen a ghost in a tv show or movie that interfaced with technology? And we know ghosts exist in this show. Why don't you tell me who/what you think the stalker could be?
I watch all the reaction videos and I totally forgot to like 😂, so, here I am liking all at once ...
I enjoyed each video!!! you both are so funny watch 😂... I'll be around for more 😉
So Laurel did all of that to bring back Crackstone... to burn the school? Is that what you really think she did all of that for? 😂😂😂
@Dos Cavazos,Crackstone got an Upgrade to Gandolf Crackstone in this final battle episode,ha?.
I never understood how, at the Gates mansion, Tyler was able to transform into the Hyde, but yet a short time later was on the porch with his clothes on and 'supposedly' scratched by the monster. In every other viewing of the Hyde transformation, his clothes rip off, and he even confessed to Wednesday that he would wake up naked .... so how did that not happen at the Gates mansion?
I think the mansion served as a base of operations. He couldn't just go home naked and covered in blood after every killing. He probably had clothes at the mansion. He would take whatever body part he collected there, clean up, change and go home. So he would have had clothes there to change into. Since he's not bloody he doesn't need to clean up this time. Just transform, get dressed, scratch himself, and position himself to be "found".
@@meggsy82 True or since they were upstairs he could just take clothes off transform and after they escaped he could transform back and get dressed.
I thought it was interesting that she was a normie, going by the name Marilyn.
Wasn't that the name of the normal looking family member from The Munsters?
Yes - I didn't think of that connection since it's a different series.
@@shercahn that's Tim Burton for you!
If you haven't seen it, the series "Dead Like Me" might be fun. Only 2 seasons, the follow up movie did close it out, but personally didn't care for it. The series utterly was great. Should be fun guessing who is going to be reaped, and how they die.
How come they didn't try to resurrect Crackstone when Morticia was at the school?
I honestly don’t get where you got that Laurel was Tyler’s mother from. Never once crossed my mind watching this show.
In the first episode you could see Tyler's face in the Hyde which gave it away.
you guys should watch Alice in borderland, it's a really good series and it has 2 seasons, it's about them getting stuck in the borderlands and playing a cards game
Fun fact the book miss thornhill Gave to Wednesday Was Frankenstein and foreshadowing
It's The Addams Family characters ......., they're kooky and they're spooky.👻 👍Loved it. Every villain can pretty much shoot the hero or poison them but since it's fantasy (every comic book film and show )there needs to be drama .
Anthony "Who's your Mama?" 🤣😉
that was fun. Thanks ya'll! And did you ever figure out that Thornhill was Christina Ricci, the 91' Wednesday Addams?
It’s was fun and funny watching y’all guess and getting somethings wrong and some right y’all probably figured out that Laurel was related to the crack stones 😂
Laurel gate's family hates the outcasts, how could she be a hyde lol
I didn't want to spoil it for you all these videos, but SHE'S NOT THE MOM!!!!!SHE'S NOT THE MOM!!!!FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, SHE'S NOT THE MOM!!!!!!
Things I loved about the finale: I love how even though Tyler was just a pawn in Laurel Gates’ plan he is a genuine, bloodthirsty psychopath. It’s easy to say that he was manipulated, and he was triggered by Laurel, but the fact he not only confessed by admitted that he loved killing people! He reminds me of Sabertooth from the X-Men comics, an animal who doesn’t kill for food or defense but just for sport. I loved how Enid wolfed out and dropkicked the shit out of Tyler. I loved how the bigoted Laurel and Crackstone were taken out by a school of outcast kids of different races and ethnicities. But what I love the most was that Wednesday hugged Enid back😢❤!
As for the things I didn’t like and have to be fair about: I hate that writers somehow forgot that Wednesday is a hell of a fighter! She could’ve taken down Laurel Gates EASILY, especially before she killed Weems. And I hate how the writers made Wednesday almost incompetent in the last 3 episodes, she thought that Xavier was the Hyde even though there was so much evidence against that theory. Also the data on Hyde’s said that they were artists by nature, but Tyler was definitely no artist.
i think principal is not dead see the lurch eyes in the end
I think Laurel was obsessed with not only destroying the school. but killing ALL outcasts, as well as (in effect) bringing back her family in terms of the "greatest one of them all."
The Outcasts are outnumbered literally hundreds of thousands to one, at the very least. And there are clearly ways of negating the advantages of the various outcasts. The sirens are not infallible nor particularly strong, while their powers fade over time. Vampires get knocked out by garlic. The Gorgons don't seem very strong, and those with other powers--like Rowan, Xavier, Eugene and Wednesday herself--can be overcome. And were!
This really is a fun show to watch. I suspected Tyler after the tub scene but thought the therapist was Laurel.
Tyler was a prime suspect the whole time, I was torn between Kinbott and Thornhill, with Weems a distant 3rd. Though when Xavier was caught with the items from the victims I was a little confused and that threw me off for a bit.
Hello Dos Cavazos,
I have read that next season will be a lot darker & explore a lot more mature themes & lean into straight up horror.
