A lot of people don't seem to be picking up on it but this is the type of dance where the girls ask the boys. That's why Xavier waits for Wednesday to ask him and why Ajax and Enid don't go together. She thinks he blew her off so she doesn't ask him.
Oh my gosh, I feel like a dunce for not figuring this out after the amount of reactions I have watched on RUclips. I can basically recite the entire show at this point. I guess I didn't find it odd that the girl would ask in today's times, so I didn't even think twice about that part. But in hindsight, it makes complete sense. I did find it a bit odd how Ajax basically told Enid it was her fault they didn't go to the dance together, but I thought that was him just being a clueless teenage boy 😂
As far as the creature reaching out of the painting to scratch Xavier.. remember his ability to bring things to life from his drawings. Like the spider in an earlier episode.

I have a theory about how Thing can see. I think his spectral form is still attached to his hand and as a "ghost" or whatever can still see and hear. So it's like his ghostly form is basically floating around but grounded to earth by the hand. But that's just a theory, a film theory.

For the sake of discussion, they talked about a cave in front of Tyler just before the prom. Wednesday also talked about the "wood" to the teacher, and whoever the culprit is could put the pieces together about that specific cave in the wood with any one of those hints. So, Xavier is not the only suspect.
What I realized, every time she has a vision, the hint is that something or someone she touches has something to do with it. So when saw that vision with Eugene in it, I think someone bumped her to the person next or near her, though the face was not showed but I believe it was hmmm. Why didn't I realize that early on? 😂

I have suspected the sheriff of being involved somehow since the first episode, as he was covering up suspicious deaths. This dance Wednesday does almost feels like it’s out of spite😂. Like in The Other Guys when Mark Wahlberg said he and his buddies learned how to dance ballet so they could make fun of the other kids in the dance club, in other words learning to dance sarcastically. Also I can’t believe that Jenna Ortega did this whole routine while infected with Covid! If you look closely she’s trying not to breathe too deeply.

It is a great series, exceptional writing keeps you guessing with interesting characters and the casting director did a perfect job, each one truly portrays the image you would expext to see in the storyline. Dance was soooo much fun to watch. It appeals to so many different viewers, older that loved the original, younger because of the characters, anyone who likes the dark storytelling, mystery solvers, men, women, love it. When you are done with the series watch it again you will see so many things you did not catch the first time around.

The "Shuffle" is the "Running Man". I also think the sheriff blew up the cave once he realized people were getting close to discovering the "troll" because I think he knows it's the teacher and that he either has a thing for her or is related to her and is trying to protect her. It could be she needs to feed every so often to keep from killing and the shackles in the cave are to restrain her from killing just anyone until he can bring her food like the deer carcass.
