So no comment on the NOTHING ELSE MATTERs song that is playing in the end? don't tell me you don't know Metallica- nothing else matters and the cover done by Apocalyptica - 'Nothing Else Matters?
I'm surprised no one pointed out that Wednesday alway been in conflict with people who dressed as pilgrims since she was a little girl in the 90's movie. Plus y'all calling this show campy like it's a bad thing, the Addams family has always been campy since the 60's TV show. Buffy was camp,so was Riverdale.
You didn't say why it's not a bad thing to be campy you just said that the show it's based off of is. Riverdale and Buffy are mid af so that isn't a strong talking point. So I'm still here wondering why you think a show being campy as a gimmick isn't a bad thing.

@@magikcarpet1360then take your opinion somewhere other than ya know, the comment section of people that enjoy it? Why does everyone need to feel the need to express the opinion on everything.
This is Wednesday's show now, she's in those rebellious mid teen years now. Unlike the movies of the 90's when she was still just a young child the plot included the camp plus then the movies included most of the family and focused more on the parents. Also Burton wanted to make this closer to Charles Addams original cartoons published in the 40s and 50s, not the TV show from the 60s or the movies. Plus in the comics Gomez is much shorter than Morticia as shown here not the same size.
We actually did catch a glimpse of Ajax's snakes (or at least 1 of them). Back in episode 1 when Enid introduced Wednesday, you could see a snake retreat back inside Ajax's hat.
The ‘girl scouts’ comment is like an homage to the Addams Family movie from the 90s. A young Amanda comes up to Wednesday and Pugsley’s lemonade stand and asks if their lemons are real, organic lemons and asks if they will buy her Girl Scout cookies if she buys some lemonade and Wednesday asks her if they are made from real Girl Scouts.
Not shown in this video, but when Wednesday rings the bell in the diner and Tyler asks "You rang?", that's from the 60s TV show. When someone wanted the butler, they would pull a rope, a huge gong would sound, shaking the whole house, Lurch would appear beside them and ask "You rang?" in a deep, gravely voice. I think that was the only version of the Addams Family where Lurch spoke. Ajax turning himself to stone when he sees his reflection is kind of strange. In Greek mythology, Perseus was able to defeat Medusa because he used his shield as a mirror and only saw her reflection.
I freaking love that this show points out that the pilgrims were bigoted, racist, religious fanatics who rather than learn to coexist with other cultures tried to convert or kill any nonbelievers. It’s why I stood and applauded when the statue of Crackstone was destroyed, WHILE Wednesday played an epic cello solo as a way to sign her work.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Also Fun Fact: The Mayor is played by Tommie Earl Jenkins who gamers will recognize as Die-Hardman from Death Stranding. Also I loved the end with the cello version of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.
Funny enough the Portuguese, French and Spanish settlers in both north and south were mingling with the population from day one. They spread Christianity both by sword and kindness and they robbed and steal bu lt had relatively less problem in integrating natives into the society. Meanwhile most of the northern European that colonized the North America were either religious zealots persecuted at home and expelled from there or Calvinist xD.. Also most colonies in the north America were left to fend for themselves while in the south the help from the mainland was massive in establishing selfsustaining colonies that could exploit the riches there..
9:12 Her German is surprisingly good, it sounds like a Dutch or maybe Swiss accent and if she was going for that, then it's amazing. Usually when you hear someone speak the language in Hollywood movies it's gibberish and you have to rely on subtitles either way, here you don't. It's great that she took the role that serious, since Wednesday would demand perfection of herself as well.
The guy that plays Xavier was in a Marvel show called "The Gifted" where he was half a set of fraternal twins that could manipulate energy. He, to attack and his twin sister could put up energy fields to defend. It only lasted 2 seasons but was good.
So,it's not a coincidence that ,"The Gifted" is a TV series loosely about the X-Men & Charles Xavier is the Headmaster of that special Academy like Nevermore outcast with variety of powers, mayby this was a nod to him/Marvel Comics to name the young actor with same first namesake,ha?.

I don’t understand why you find the concept of a ‘Pilgrim World’ so outrageous. There are lots of historical sites like this around the country that educate and entertain visitors about how things were in days gone by. I grew up in central Illinois where we had New Salem, which recreated life from Abraham Lincoln’s time. These sites get a lot of visitors each year. Admittedly, this one is suspect, but the concept is certainly not unusual.
Something I noticed in this episode. They say Goody is an Addams, but she can’t be. Addams isn’t Morticia’s maiden name, and I got the impression that Goody is an ancestor from her side of the family. If Goody was an Addams, wouldn’t Gomez be her descendant?
Goody is an ancestor of Gomez. Morticia is a Frump. Just because Morticia has visions doesn’t mean there aren’t Addams relatives who don’t. Gomez could be a recessive carrier of the trait and when paired with Morticia, Wednesday got her power. Pugsley has a 50% of having visions.

They are confusing the Pilgrims with the Puritains. Puritains: Witch Burning Fanatics. Pilgrims: Peaceful settlers who actually ASKED PERMISSION to settle on a particular plot of land (The locals believed it was cursed) and were very friendly with the native tribes.
The only difference between Puritans and Pilgrims is that Puritans thought they could reform the Church of England from within and the Pilgrims thought it was hopelessly corrupt. Otherwise their views were the same. While the Pilgrims initially formed a friendship with the natives, they did this to survive given half the colony died. As soon as the Pilgrims recovered their numbers they ignored the agreements made with the natives.

No, she didn't, considering she didn't learn the language, that was pretty good, I could understand everything clearly, albeit with an accent, and it wasn't just two short sentences. Much worse has often been heard in films and series, and with less text
Incorrect. The Pilgrims were not peaceful and were a subset of Puritans. The Puritans had a charter for colonization where the Pilgrims did not.
@@nyghtmoon no, they were NOT. They did not perform witch burnings, and were definitely peaceful. Look up the story of "Squanto" sometime, and open your closed mind.
@RedwoodTheElf LOL. Go open a history book because you don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about. Squanto, his European name btw, was liked by the Pilgrims because he spoke English and helped them survive. The Pilgrim history doesn't end with his death. Tell me, when did the Puritans burn witches?
@@nyghtmoon You've never heard of Salem? You are incredibly ignorant, and shouldn't be opining on anything, let alone history. Look up "Cotton Mather" - he's NOT a pilgrim. He's the one that "Crackstone" is based on in the series.
Pay attention, they've introduced Goodie Addams but they eventually say that she's related to Morticia Frump instead of Gomez Addams, the writers made a mistake......
No it isn't
First time on your Channel I have been watching y'all's reactions all day but this one has to be my favorite especially when she said Joseph crackhole 😅 I can't wait to see more content
