So the sheriff saying that implies maybe he tried to get Tyler into Nevermore to help control his Hyde and they rejected him because Hydes aren’t allowed in.

The key feature of crucifixion is that you die from being suspended by your arms and not being able to breathe etc. - the hands don't have to be nailed (sometimes they were just tried to the crossbeam). So thing was impaled rather than crucified. Also there was no cross.
12:52 The moon would *only* be red while the moon is being illuminated by sunlight passing through Earth’s atmosphere during the lunar eclipse. The more dust in the atmosphere the redder the moon appears to be. As soon as Earth moves out of the way it returns to appearing as usual…
For me, a hint that pointed to Thornhill being the actual mastermind behind all of this was when she gave Wednesday a certain book (I believe about two episodes ago maybe?). That book was "Frankenstein" and well, the Hyde had been collecting different human parts and we didn't know why yet, so when I saw the book I imagined that she was trying to create a Creature- like Dr. Frankenstein did -or just wanted to use the parts to put together a body for Crackstone to occupy.
Another hint, which might actually be nothing, is how Thornhill has a habit of touching her glasses in her appearances as if to adjust them, hinting that she is not used to wearing them because there is nothing wrong with her sight.
I love listening to cool OSTs and creative opening credits, so I was annoyed to see the show abandon the full sequence in episodes 2-7, but I was _so_ happy to see it come back for the finale! :)
There are a lot of things that are left unsolved that they could explore in season two. The stalker, new principle, morning song, Xavier dad, Tyler getting away, Enids mate vs boyfriend, Tyler's parent, new mayor. Is Wednesday a witch or a psychic? What else am I missing?
Well, we do still need to explore the culture of the rest of the outcasts. Vampires, definitely. And those students who don't have faces. And of course, my biggest want for Season 2, more of the actual Addams Family, introducing characters like Cousin It and Grandma Addams, while giving Pugsley a bit more screentime.
in a school year you can have either 4 quarters, 3 trimesters, or 2 semesters. In the end bianca does mention that they have a championship they need to win next semester. so the school seems to be on the semester system. regarding Xavier and the warning label. He did know her as a child. it is possible that a younger Wednesday hadn't developed such a dark outlook on life. she was at the very least willing to play a game of hide and seek with some boy she just met. So it's possible his perceptions of her are colored by the her he remembers
Wednesday Addams is hugging someone?! 15:49😮😮😃I'm telling you the more we learn about this girl, the more surprising the facts about her becomes, that hugging scene was my favorite part.
I agree with Eric on the whole issue between Wednesday and Xavier. He seems to be mad at her for not being the person he thinks he has a crush on … a lot! I’m hoping in season 2 they can calm down that aspect of the character because it’s really off putting
jenna ortega was the HIGHLIGHT of this show. the entire concept of the show, and the plot and dialogue feels so non-addams/wednesday specific, and jenna was the only thing that made it FEEL like Wednesday. and thing also, was amazing. I'm glad everyone was annoyed at Wednesday having love interests, she really should've not, and i hope in s2, jenna can fight for no love interests
@@mariebourgot4949 yeah but if there is one character in fiction that doesn’t need one, it’s her. and like idk in that one it felt like they had a dynamic that made sense, in the show it was the two blandest guys fighting over her like?
@@neivilde.1242 I agree she could be aro and/or ace, but also calling Tyler "bland'' when he's literally a psychotic serial killer monster, is a bit a a strech. As for Xavier, he may be more average but he shown some good qualities like being caring, loyal, brave and sweetness that can be a good foil for Wednesday.
Loved your guys' reactions to this series! For anyone who is looking to fill the void while we wait for season 2, CW's Nancy Drew is a great mystery show with a similar spooky vibe I highly recommend!!
I'm gonna be annoying and point out that it wasn't the sheriff that recognized Thornhild, it was the mayor. He used to be the sheriff and that's why he put the whole thing together. In the beginning I was really hoping Christina Ricci was Goody Addams although I did suspect her being the big baddy very early on. When Wednesday tried to contact Goody but wasn't able to it gave me some false hope but hey...they chose to make her the villain...sure. Would have been better for her to be Goody specially considering how the whole Goody storyline turned out. But that's just my take. Many have been complaining about the style they used for the Hyde but I think they made it look a bit cartoonish because it's meant to be watched by a younger audience, even kids with parents I guess. (this would have been a comedy next to the things I used to watch as a kid XD ) The mystery wasn't very hard to figure out, imo. It's a very basic story but it's fine for a younger audience.
“I kinda soured on Xavier by the end.” I agree with this so much, Eric! And you also pointed out earlier that you didn’t like how kinda entitled Tyler got with Wednesday (re:dance date, I think). You’re so on point! Both boys sucked, even without the Hyde thing. I remember thinking the first time I watched this show that all of Wednesday’s romance options were crummy. Her relationships with Enid, Eugene, Bianca, Thing, and even Weems were far more interesting and compelling. So glad the show emphasized those relationships in the end and kinda just swept the terrible romance plotline to the side. Also thank you for discussing how funny (and kind of annoying) it was that all the characters just kept dismissing Wednesday’s personality as an edgy facade. It was satisfying to watch her stay true to herself to the end, good and bad, so her hugging Enid voluntarily felt so earned and so big.
How about a powerful psychic like Xavier's dad knowing about the phone and being the big bad. Bianca mom at least appeared but Xavier's dad remains a mystery.
Things I loved about the finale: I love how even though Tyler was just a pawn in Laurel Gates’ plan he is a genuine, bloodthirsty psychopath, he reminds me of Sabertooth from the X-Men comics, an animal who doesn’t kill for food or defense but just for sport. I loved how Enid wolfed out and dropkicked the shit out of Tyler. I loved how the bigoted Laurel and Crackstone were taken out by a school of outcast kids of different races and ethnicities. But what I love the most was that Wednesday hugged Enid back😢❤! As for the things I didn’t like and have to be fair about: I hate that writers somehow forgot that Wednesday is a hell of a fighter! She could’ve taken down Laurel Gates EASILY. And I hate how the writers made Wednesday almost incompetent in the last 3 episodes, she thought that Xavier was the Hyde even though there was so much evidence against that theory.
I'm wondering if they will do a redemption arc for Tyler. At the end of the day, he was a victim. Victim of his blood, of the mental and physical torture, victim of all of the lies and manipulations he endured. As far as I can tell, even though he says he enjoyed it, absolutely none of his kills were done voluntarily.
Well, he did genuninely hate the outcasts at Nevermore because they wouldn't help his mother learn to control her powers, which led to her death. Maybe this will be the push for the school to finally make it an effort to help future Hydes like him control their abilities. That said, I'm not sure I would like a redemption arc after all the piles of victims that he has left, and his apparent bloodlust.
It might be possible that principle weems might still be alive (there's been some theories out there) even gwendoline christie said that it might be possible for her to come back I think it was mainly because you didn't see where her body went after she was poisoned and you didn't see if she had a funeral or not so maybe don't rule it out but who knows
What a great show and fun reaction. I was SO mad about Weems tho. Really liked the relationship and dialogues between her and Wednesday. Maybe we can see Gwendoline Christie back somehow cause ya know, shapeshifters are a thing. I'm very much on Eric's side when it comes to the others reacting to Wednesday. For me the biggest one was Xavier. Just because he's nice to her, doesn't mean she owes him her friendship, let alone anything more. Really rubbed me the wrong way how he treated her. And this starts before her accusing him. Almost bordering on Nice Guy territory... The friendship with Enid grew way more organically imo. Yes, she was trying really hard but it didn't seem like she demanded anything back. Her getting angry about her behaviour was after Wednesday lured her and Tylor to the mansion under false pretenses and THEN almost getting them killed. Instead of asking them to join her on a murderer hunt.
I think they’re speaking more cinematically, not accuracy. Movie/TV lighting isn’t ever “realistic” and the suggestion of having red moonlight (even briefly) would have sold the moment better (subjectively, for Eric and maybe others).
Well now that you’re all done. I figured Ms.Thornhill was the bad guy from episode 1. Actually from her very first scene my husband even asked how I knew. The first clue to me was when they introduced her at the end of her scene they focused on her red boots that were muddy. Meaning she had been in the forest where the hiker had died. It was the first clue and then every episode just added on to it.
@@LordSevarg true but I’ve seen to many movies and shows to know that they wouldn’t make it a point to make a shot to emphasize the shoes and the mud not for it to be important.
Sometimes you guys say "zavier" and sometimes you say "ex-zavier". "Ex-zavier" is only professor X. The other Xaviers in the world are "zaviers". (Or "haviers", if you meet a Xavier in Galicia, because in galego the X goes for J, the original name in Spanish is Javier.) 😉 I loved this series. It was lovely. Can't wait for season 2.
I was a bit pessimistic about this show, but decided to give it a go in the end and I have to say...I was pleasantly surprised. It was entertaining, fun and had a decent plot. What elevated the show was the characters and the acting (some, not all). Wednesday was, of course, the main star, but I found myself really liking characters like Enid and Eugene. And Weems was also great. The acting was good, at times great. Jenna Ortega was a great Wednesday. Perfect casting. Personally, Wednesday will forever be Christina Ricci, but Jenna isn't far off. I had my doubts about the casting for Gomez and Morticia and I have to say it was a bit hit and miss for me. Zeta Jones was fine as Morticia (though nobody can even come close to Angelica Huston) and she does look the part, but I just could not stand Guzman as Gomez. And I just didn't feel the strong connection between Morticia and Gomez like I did with the movies. And as for Christina Ricci, I do love her, but I am a bit disappointed that she got such a big part in the show. I grew up with the movies and Ricci will forever be Wednesday, so when she shows up in a show about Wednesday, I can't see her as someone else. I honestly can't even remember her characters name, even after just watching this reaction, because all I saw was Christina "Wednesday" Ricci. I would have prefered it if she just showed up in a cameo. Give the fans of the movies a nice little surprise. Maybe have a short interaction between her and Ortega. Passing on the torch and making a few jokes that fans will enjoy. Anyway, it was still a good show and I will absolutely watch a 2nd season of it.
As far as magic goes, why do the witches in Macbeth need an eye of newt and toe of dog? Not everything, especially traditionally in fictional magic needs a mechanistic one-for-one fully explained equivalent Also, are we surprised that Crackstone is a hypocrite? And he hates Outcasts. Never said he hated magic. He might. We don't know, but treating magic as if only Outsiders can and do use it isn't stated in the story as written
i have to disagree parents weekend would have pushed people into believe that wednesday isn't who she portrays based on her parents. her family is totally weird as all heck, but they are warm and friendly. her parents are VERY affectionate towards the kids and especially each other. so much so that Morticia's magic is vastly different from wednesday because of her positive outlook on life.
If the "stalker" manages to be Tyler's mom. I'll be ecstatic. I expected her to make an appearance too and without her showing up. Honestly I can see her wanted vengeance on Wednesday for attacking her son and turning him in.
This was a very interesting Finale, not quite what I expected but it was okay for what it was, I will really look forward to Season 2 and see how that is going to be, it’s going to be really interesting to find out, especially with where they left us off, I really hope Season 2 improves upon what has been presented in Season 1 and is even better, But i guess we’ll see.
I think next season Bianca's mom will be the antagonist and Xavier's dad (who is a famous fortune teller) will be the new principal. He will be on Wednesdays side at first until she starts doing grim dark things to fight the new bad at nevermore. (Jenna is now an executive producer for the next season. - she has mentioned that she wants to take the character and the show to a darker place.) I think despite them making amends Wednesday and bianca will have some sort of falling out because she will eventually figure out that morning song is behind everything. The new principal Xavier's dad will teach Wednesday to control her powers and she will eventually take down morning song and bianca will be expelled from nevermore by the end of the season setting up a revenge plot for her in a later season.
Watching the first few episodes I was so bored and unimpressed (I remember telling my friend I will watch it only for Wednesday and Thing) but the show definently grew on me, Jenna killed it
Hmm interesting because that could actually be possible, if Xavier bought it with his father's money and it's on his plan 🤔. I'm just not sure how he did take the pics unseen (unless he had an accomplice) and idk what his motivation would be.
even though the last two episodes of Wednesday suck and were most certainly rushed as hell, Enid and Wednesday had very romantic moments, so that's nice.
I'd prefer the actress who played her in the films, so she would be older. And CZJ's Morticia can continue to be a loving mother and loving wife in her weird family, as I have a hard time imagining her as a principle.
I just finished watching another reactor react to end game yesterday... What a difference this Tony Stark is in the beginning. I can't wait for you to experience all of this through phase 3 and see the character arc for a lot of our main superheroes.

Another hint, which might actually be nothing, is how Thornhill has a habit of touching her glasses in her appearances as if to adjust them, hinting that she is not used to wearing them because there is nothing wrong with her sight.
i always enjoy the small tangents the intros end up in
I love listening to cool OSTs and creative opening credits, so I was annoyed to see the show abandon the full sequence in episodes 2-7, but I was _so_ happy to see it come back for the finale!
@@Unversed333 Pugsley could start attending school.
in a school year you can have either 4 quarters, 3 trimesters, or 2 semesters.
Loved the reaction guys!
Eugene turned into Candy Man and I'm onboard with that alternate origin story
Wednesday Addams is hugging someone?! 15:49😮😮😃I'm telling you the more we learn about this girl, the more surprising the facts about her becomes, that hugging scene was my favorite part.
Jenna Ortega already said she wanted season 2 to be darker and forget the stupid love triangles for once
She has said wants Season 2 to focus less on that
The love triangle makes me cringe, and it is forced 😭
But she had one in Addam's family values.
“I kinda soured on Xavier by the end.”
I agree with this so much, Eric!
It was satisfying to watch her stay true to herself to the end, good and bad, so her hugging Enid voluntarily felt so earned and so big.
i get it, when you see a goth kid or emo kid 90% of the time its a form of attention or a way to stand out
How about a powerful psychic like Xavier's dad knowing about the phone and being the big bad.
Bianca mom at least appeared but Xavier's dad remains a mystery.
In a school of outcasts, we have a young man named Xavier, whose dad is a powerful psychic. Now, why does that sound familiar?
After the whole Conversion Camp part, I was Hoping That ennid wouldnt become a full werewolf
@@Unversed333 That ALL happened because he was tortured mentally and physically by a racist genocidal maniac.
Do they ever mention a death, funeral or burial for Tyler’s mom? Do we know for certain that she’s dead?
It might be possible that principle weems might still be alive (there's been some theories out there) even gwendoline christie said that it might be possible for her to come back I think it was mainly because you didn't see where her body went after she was poisoned and you didn't see if she had a funeral or not so maybe don't rule it out but who knows
I'm so glad I gave this series a chance, it's one of the better things I've watched recently.
Instead of asking them to join her on a murderer hunt.
bloodmoons don't give off red light though. they give off regular moonlight.
I think they’re speaking more cinematically, not accuracy. Movie/TV lighting isn’t ever “realistic” and the suggestion of having red moonlight (even briefly) would have sold the moment better (subjectively, for Eric and maybe others).
can't wait for season 2
Im excited for season 2 . . .
Crucifixion it was the wrists which I guess is the bottom of the hands.
The true mystery of season 1 - Why are there apparently power outlets in a crypt? lol
I'm with Aaron on the warning label. And I think its just a joke to amuse the audience.
I would really like to watch you reacting to Shadow and Bone ❤️❤️
13:30 I think that was in slo-mo.
I mean you were right, but she's literally a botanist; she probably goes outdoors all of the time to collect/harvest specimens.
@@LordSevarg true but I’ve seen to many movies and shows to know that they wouldn’t make it a point to make a shot to emphasize the shoes and the mud not for it to be important.
Dig your analysis as always. Just one mistake, Wednesday planted the evidence on Xavier in that scene, Tyler had nothing to do with it.
Sometimes you guys say "zavier" and sometimes you say "ex-zavier". "Ex-zavier" is only professor X. The other Xaviers in the world are "zaviers". (Or "haviers", if you meet a Xavier in Galicia, because in galego the X goes for J, the original name in Spanish is Javier.) 😉
I loved this series. It was lovely. Can't wait for season 2.
🚨RED ALERT, RED ALERT🚨15:49
EMOTINAL SCENE DETECTED, WEDNESDAY ADDAMS IS HUGGING SOME ONE! REPEAT, WEDNESDAY ADDAMS IS HUGGING SOMEONE!!!!!!
What if the stalker is Xavier’s father?
As far as magic goes, why do the witches in Macbeth need an eye of newt and toe of dog? Not everything, especially traditionally in fictional magic needs a mechanistic one-for-one fully explained equivalent
Also, are we surprised that Crackstone is a hypocrite?
I got so many LOTR vibes when the sword broke
This was a very interesting Finale, not quite what I expected but it was okay for what it was,
I will really look forward to Season 2 and see how that is going to be, it’s going to be really interesting to find out, especially with where they left us off,
I really hope Season 2 improves upon what has been presented in Season 1 and is even better,
But i guess we’ll see.
I liked that Laurel Gates was lost at sea and came back, similar to Uncle Fester from the movie.
will you guys react to Dominion 2018 and Seaspiracy?
Eric, people are married for years before they realize a person is who they say they are.
How many times was Wednesday joking? Wouldn't be better if she has a warning label "This is joke" instead of ""This isn't joke" then?
When I think of Mortica and Gomez I think of the original tv show, actually.
So happy you guys liked this show. Another one you should check out starring jenna ortega is the movie “X” it’s an A24 film and it’s so good !
Yes it’s a great movie. She’s also in The Fallout
Y'all have clearly never had a fresh fig. They are so juicy and delicious.

Can't wait for Enid and Wednesday to start dating in season 2
Watching the first few episodes I was so bored and unimpressed (I remember telling my friend I will watch it only for Wednesday and Thing) but the show definently grew on me, Jenna killed it
Do season two of Vox machina it’s soooooo good
The stocker is Xavier’s dad.
Hmm interesting because that could actually be possible, if Xavier bought it with his father's money and it's on his plan 🤔. I'm just not sure how he did take the pics unseen (unless he had an accomplice) and idk what his motivation would be.
More good news, Jenna Ortega was a nominee in this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and won.
🤩🤩🤩
SILENCE WOMAN! Such a great line, what was she expecting, it's basically women who supports Trump, at some point you need to figure it out
What the hell are you going on about?
Jesus doesn't like cheeses?
I don’t think Xavier is coming back, the actor Percy Hynes White has been accused of allegedly s*xually a$$@ulting several women😟
41:17 made me look 👀
even though the last two episodes of Wednesday suck and were most certainly rushed as hell, Enid and Wednesday had very romantic moments, so that's nice.
No romance, just very strong platonic friendship moments.
Hopefully the writers get a clue for season 2 and not have any romance for Wednesday. Those scenes were cringe. Wednesday Addams doesn't do romance.
But that movie date was adorable ,not gonna lie
@@katydid2157 Right, Wednesday and Joel. I wonder why I have no issue with that but do with this Wednesday. hmm
But she had one in Addam's family values.
@@FLStyle Then don't say "Wednesday Addams doesn't do romance." which is false, say I don't like it.
How bold of you to assume characters killed off this season won't appear next season. Did we even watch the same show? LOL.
Wouldn't be funny if Morticia became the principle.
I'd prefer the actress who played her in the films, so she would be older. And CZJ's Morticia can continue to be a loving mother and loving wife in her weird family, as I have a hard time imagining her as a principle.
How has she grown up in America and think that there are three semesters in a school year?
I wish that this season of the show had A supernatural cameo Would like either Dean or Castile
I just finished watching another reactor react to end game yesterday... What a difference this Tony Stark is in the beginning. I can't wait for you to experience all of this through phase 3 and see the character arc for a lot of our main superheroes.

Wesne!ssdays Gone , why would she hug enid? wednessday doesnt do hugs... but we know Goody Does !
Wednesday likes Enid and realizes Enid might need a hug right now.
This show was alright, biggest complaint it was boringly predictable
I love this little hint that Tyler was a Hyde because of his mother early on in the show. It’s the scene where the sheriff and Weems are talking and the sheriff goes “that’s right because you only teach the hood outcasts here, don’t you?” This episode talks about how Hydes were kicked out of Nevermore because they were uncontrollable and we now have confirmation Tyler’s mom went to nevermore. So the sheriff saying that implies maybe he tried to get Tyler into Nevermore to help control his Hyde and they rejected him because Hydes aren’t allowed in.
