I don't think part 3 is as bas as people make it out to be. The nun scene, the singing scene, George, when Tucker thinks Lee is having sex. I think I would rather watch RH3 than RH1.

All rush hours are special to me. The first one I watched like 100 times with my dad. The 2nd one I went to see in the movies with my dad and had a blast. The 3rd I took my high school crush to see, best date I had in HS.
The giant kung-fu student was Sun Mingming. He was a professional basketball player and was in the Guiness Book of Records for being the tallest professional basketball player at 7'9" and 370 lbs.
Forgot to mention, for people interested in this brand of Jackie Chan movie and his American Comedies, then Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights would be worth the watch.
The most innovative scenes involve stunts, for which I'm sure Chan (who is always involved in action sequences and who is himself a director and fight choreographer) provided most of the inspiration.
Definitely agree with the sentiment. The movie is not up to par with Rush Hour 1 and 2 as a action movie, but like you're saying. What makes it good is the relationship between Jackie and Chris. I view it as an enjoyable sentimental feel good comedy. And I love it

I’d say Rush Hour 3 was pretty good. But Rush Hour 2 is still the best of the trilogy. One reason being is because it’s one of those movies that felt longer than it’s actual run time, like Independence Day or Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.
I really hope they get Rush Hour 4 into production they just finished the script awhile back but no news on filming yet😭:Edit - apparently there already filming it and have Mike Tyson as a character or a cameo in the movie lol.

The issue with Rush Hour 3 is that the previous two movies are made to be almost serious action movies with comedy injected in them, whereas RH3 tries to be both equally an action and a comedy movie, which ends up braking away from the previous formula.
There were talks of a fourth RUSH HOUR movie but it's likely been cancelled as director Brett Ratner has been accused of sexual harassment and has not made another film since 2015.
This is the weakest Rush Hour movie but it's still very funny. Hiroyuki Sanada plays a good villain but somewhat underused. He starred in some Hong Kong action movies in the 80s like Ninja in the Dragon's Den and star alongside Michelle Yeoh in Royal Warriors so he's not new to the martial arts genre. He's incredibly skillful with the Japanese sword/ katana(unlike Jackie) and also perform complex acrobatic stunts. If you think Jackie is too old at this point then check out Rob-B-Hood which came out almost the same time and see how insane the stunts and fights Jackie did for his Hong Kong movie.
The guy who played Kenji is definitely in Mortal Kombat as Scorpion, he also is in The Wolverine with Huge Jackman as well as John Wick 4. Part 3 is definitely the least fav of mine. They should have shown a flash back of them in New York, doing another case lol.
Best Cop movie series - it's a Lethal Weapon ( i love all Rush Hour movies,speaking only about story telling and sequels). All 4 movies are great and all are complete each over till the end !!!

Rush Hour 3 actually has a deleted ending. Han sent that private jet from the first movie to pick up Lee from France. Lee tells Carter there was no destination mentioned to him. Maybe he would go to Fiji (like Carter suggested before they went to France). I'm guessing they didn't want to set up the next storyline so quickly and have to explain it away instead, because it took too long to film, like their trip to NYC.
Casey is actually right su young should be 13 since according to carter New York was 3 years ago rush hour 2 takes place 3 days after rush hour 1. But there is room for more time because lee said Isabella was his gf so they could have been in New York again
One little note, you hear Chris Tucker mispronounce “El Pollo Loco,” multiple times in the blooper reels during the credits, but if you notice in the movie he says “El Poco Loco,” because they never got a shot of him saying it right apparently 😂

The whole French hating America moment with the cab driver was because this movie was made during the time when France openly rebuked the USA for retaliating against the terrorists who caused 9/11. This caused a bit of aggravation between the two countries where a large sum of US citizens stopped buying or affiliating with French products or other French affiliates. So you can understand why a lot of Americans actually enjoyed that whole scene with Carter yelling at the cab driver to sing the US National Anthem. lol

I have a feeling that they had a similar story in mind for Rush Hour 3 after 2 was released which would have been set in New York but that got delayed for some reason and when they got back to it years later they did some rewrites and the movie suffered from it. I think the thing that was missing here is the "cultural dissonance". Not sure if this is the right word, what I mean is that in RH1 American culture was very new to Lee and in RH2 Chinese culture was very new to Carter and it was the source of a few funny situations. French culture is not that "alien" to them and almost every French character spoke English. They should have gone to a place where they are both very foreigners and are not familiar with the surroundings and the language. Maybe South America or Australia. Africa would have been interesting, too. I can imagine Carter telling Lee not to worry, he knows his way around - and then soon realises he doesn't.
