IT'S OVER 😭 Will you be watching The Last of Us with me tomorrow? FYI for copyright purposes we have to cut out a lot of our scenes/commentary. If there is something missing from this episode that you'd like me to comment on let me know and I'll try and answer it in the comments. Thank you for being here! 🖤 👇
Great Video. But I feel like you missed a chance to talk about hypocrisy. Around 14:51 Crackstone wonders what "demon sorcery" kept Wednesday alive while he himself is an undead zombie sorcerer.
I think it's important to mention that when Enid and Wednesday fought, Wednesday never brought up Enid's inability to shift. You were talking about how they used things they knew about each other in their fight, but I think it's important to realize that they both knew there was a line, and neither of them crossed it. Wednesday fully knew that Enid being unable to shift was one of her biggest insecurities, but she didn't bring it up - because she respected Enid, and she cared about her.
Wednesday didn’t wanna be her mama (even though a lot of girls would want to be played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, have a spouse who loves them so much and have given them two wonderful kids), nor did she wanna be Enid’s mama (judgemental, tries to send daughter to conversion therapy).
Well, when Enid and Wednesday fought, Wednesday just mentioned things that she personally disliked in Enid's behaviour, Enid's werwolfing probably even did not came to her mind. I do not even think she understands what it means for Enid. Moreover, Wednesday main weapon is sarkasm and bluntness, but she never was a bitch.
What I found interesting about the Tyler-Thornhill relationship was when she told him, "make Mama happy." That shows that while she used chemical manipulation to finally bring out his Hyde, she must have used a massive amount of emotional manipulation to possibly make him see her as the mother figure he lost and was probably seeking. And that is a deeply disturbing thought of how little regard she had for others in order to further her own plan.
The relationships between the Gates are more toxic than nuclear waste. I’m sure Laurel picked that up from her parents, and while we don’t know much about Mrs. Gates, except that she’s dead, Ansel is no better than a mad dog. And her brother is a creep. And Crackstone started the family traditions of racism, dysfunction, and toxicity.
Yeah, it was disturbing. I'm wondering how she felt about him. Maybe she saw herself as his mother figure in some twisted way? It was interesting that she sent him away just before Crackstone resurrection. I mean Tyler is an outcast so Crackstone would kill him on the spot. Did she care about Tyler or just didn't want to loose her pocket monster?
@@ekaf1735 maybe but also you could see the distaste she had for him by the end I think she made him leave to keep him in case something went wrong so she could use him again to come and clean the mess
@@ashleyjennifermares7618 I hope we'll learn more about it in the next season. Either way this relationship would be unhealthy even without torture, chemicals and supernatural aspects. I'm a little confused why not a single therapist reactor on RUclips commented on it. I thought they'll have a field day with it. There is still this dangerous misconception that for a teenage boy attention from an older woman should be considered cool not harmful. It's not okay. I worked with teenagers and I know how vulnerable they can be to your influence.
@@ekaf1735 definitely agreed on this like i dont know but ive read some of the fanfics on this out there and they are taking their relationship as more of a power hungry women takign advatage of a kid and not only that but in a sexual way which if its true its even more terrible becuase shes the adult hes still a kid. im sure if the hyde had beed a girl and tornhill a guy the therapist woudl be all over this call it grooming but isnt that exactly what she did with him just for hopefully nonsexual things???
Hunter Doohan's acting tho... the way he went from being this cute nice guy to the conniving manipulative villain. he really said that he has range and i hope he gets to showcase this more in wednesday or other projects.
I really loved the Enid & Wednesday hug. Knew it was coming but it was done well. Just the initial pull away and she looks at Enid and does mental calculation then just finally gives a deep hug. A lot of people want a Wednesday Enid ship but Wednesday really needs to learn to be a friend first.
@@СвинкаСкреппа Well, the Wednesday was considerably shattered in the moment. She was almost stabbed to death, actually she was dying till Goody rescued her, then she fought with a dreadful enemy and won only with help and good share of luck. So, she had every right to drop her barriers for a moment. After all, she is only 16, even if very string personality. Hugging can be very relaxing.
I absolutely think tyler has been manipulating Wednesday from the beginning. And last episode’s date was a sham so the master could break into Wednesday’s room and steal the diary.
I don't believe this theory, if he wanted to manipulate Wednesday why did he want to help her escape from Jericho? If we think about it, if Wednesday hadn't gone after Rowan, Tyler would have taken her to Burlington and that was the end. In the first episode, even Tyler said: "at least one of us should escape from this city"
I think he was just controlled the whole time (which is why there's handcuffs in the woods) , I think either he lost his mind after awhile or she was controlling him to say that to Wednesday at the sheriff's office and in the school at the end
@@HobanProduction It doesn't make sense, they couldn't have known that Rowan would be there and they didn't even know that Rowan wanted to kill Wednesday:)) I think people are already exaggerating with the interpretations.
I think, in a way, her family hindered her a bit. I love that they are supportive and love her unconditionally, but this was the first time that Wednesday was forced to NOT have her family around constantly. It wasn't like a public school where she came home after it was over. So, she no longer had that bubble of protection that her family gave her and she was forced to look in the mirror so to speak. These people weren't going to love her unconditionally no matter what she did like her parents. They weren't going to adore her the way Pugsley does. She didn't have that support system and it was the first time that she truly had to rely on herself, which meant she was now forced to face the consequences of her actions, on an emotional level. NOT IN THE MENTAL HEALTH WORLD. Just my thoughts.
I enjoy Wednesday and your reactions to the series. Everyone did great. The scene when Tyler confesses to Wednesday was chilling with him rubbing it in that Wednesday has lost and her barely concealed seething. Hunter, the actor who played Tyler, said Tyler was gaslighting Wednesday, he specifically talked about the scene when he accuses Wednesday of giving him mixed signals which she didn’t at that point. Over Season One and particularly in Episode Seven, Wednesday opened her heart to Tyler and he was manipulating her. That date was a distraction so Laurel can steal the diary. Wednesday said she thought relying on others was weakness. Enid, Xavier, Bianca and Eugene all stepped up for her and she knows she can trust them with her life. That’s why the hug between Wednesday and Enid was so impactful. The hypocrisy of Laurel and Crackstone. They murderously hate outcasts yet one mastered a Hyde to murder indiscriminately and the other is a supernatural undead that has telekinesis lol. I’m happy Wednesday was renewed for Season Two. The creators sad they have at least four seasons planned out. Given how successful Wednesday is, it is very likely we’ll get more after Season Two and continue to see Wednesday evolve, as she said. Looking forward to Season Two and your reactions, Dr. Courtney.
"Enid, Xavier, Bianca and Eugene all stepped up for her and she knows she can trust them with her life. That’s why the hug between Wednesday and Enid was so impactful." Unfortunately, I still think the Wenclair friendship is overrated. Wednesday has been pretty toxic to Enid throught the whole story and when Enid (rightfully) complained and went away Wednesday never _really_ apologized... Enid just came back by herself. I honestly believe both the friendships between Wednesday&Eugene and the one between Enid&Hand are more earned than the one between Wednesday&Enid.ù___U "The hypocrisy of Laurel and Crackstone."YES! They wanna get rid of magical beings...and they both use *MAGIC* to do it! 🤦♂🤦♂
@@Nicamon Speaking from experience, sometimes a friendship can exist and be good when one person is giving 100 percent of themselves while the other person is only giving 10 percent. The 100 percent person might choose to do that because they see the potential in the other person to grow into giving more and they value the 10 percent friend enough to wait and see what happens. In my case, that ten percent friend from 8th grade ended up as my partner later as adults and it was definitely worth it. In the show, Enid has been such an optimist towards Wednesday, except for the fight, that I believe she's willing to wait for Wednesday to learn how to be a better friend, and that she sees the small steps forward by Wednesday as huge victories, so she's not going to wait for Wednesday to "earn it" because that's how her mother would be. I guess we'll see in Season 2 how things go.
about the "you need psychiatric help" part. you are absolutely correct, and no one should feel shame in needing help. your mind is not broken, its actually working.. just very hard
When Tyler was waiting for Wednesday to come down in the dress, he was looking at the school photo of his mom, something I haven't seen any reactors notice or anyone point out really. He knew for a while about his mom but continued to act like he knew nothing about her in front of dad, i wonder why. The way Thornhill smiles is enough to view her as suspicious, it was creepy when seeing the mayor and Tyler at the dance, it just as creepy as her Wednesday smile in the movie. Mayor didn't investigate laurel gates until seeing Thornhill and wondering if they met.
There's one line I loved (and right now, I'm not even sure if Tyler or Thornhill said it but it doesn't really matter) and that's "to make you feel special" It shows everything Tyler and Thornhill do and say to her in a different light from the moment Wednesday interacts with them for the first time. Thornhill giving her the perfect plant. Thornhill trying to encourage her bonding and friendship, her trying to have this inspirational Mary Shelly moment. Tyler, when he acts charmed by her unusual behaviour and awed by her knowledge and skills and when he immediately jumps at offering her help to escape (but delaying it as long as possible) but then hands her the police file of her father. The latter not only is a big gesture of trust and devotion but also hands her something that has a good chance of intriguing her and keeping her interested in Nevermore so she'd be more likely to choose to stay. Their fake acceptance is blind to everything she does or say and Tyler says yes to everything she says and offers (or says she's not willing to offer). He challenges her only about one thing - to please accept his feeling because he's the perfect Nice Guy™ Wednesday Edition who'll treat her like his dark queen while she steps on him. It's that fake, almost submissive and catering acceptance that gets her trapped, killed, and as a side-effect, now bonded her with a spirit her mother warned her about. Meanwhile, the others weren't afraid to criticise her, call her out, say uncomfortable truths, and express negative emotions. They don't do it necessarily in a healthy, constructive way but ultimately, it's having to navigate those flawed but honest interactions that help her grow and expand/improve her personality. She was not only gaslit by Tyler and Thornhill who staged a fake reality for her, it was done by lovebombing. And it comes all together and is revealed as what it is by the "make you feel special" so she'd voluntarily hang around until it was time for the ritual. Shows you that often in your life, your current favourite friend might not necessarily be your best friend.
Tyler is a really interesting character for me, even if everything between them was manipulation at the mid and end season there is one scene on the first episode that is probably the scene where i think he was fully honest with Wednesday. The quote "I wish i could leave this hell hole too", i felt like it was an actual thought of him, also after all the mental, physical and emotional torture he went through with Laurel I can see how he ended up the way he is.
Great reaction as always. If you pay attention during the season Wednesday doesn’t blink, maybe the reason for that and considering all we know about her, is of a self defense mechanism, a way to prevent her enemies to surprise her. With Enid, specially when they hug, she close them meaning that, with Enid she can let her guard down, she doesn’t see her as an enemy but has a friend.
saved you the search bc it was bugging me XD. From an article from Seventeen: "On November 28, Netflix tweeted out the backstory of where Wednesday's non-blinking nature came from. "After trying one take where she didn't blink, Tim Burton was so enamored with the result he told Jenna Ortega not to blink anymore when playing Wednesday," the streamer wrote, "So, she didn't.""
What a turnaround for Wednesday! In the beginning she didn't even want to be at Nevermore, and she wasn't looking to make any friends. At the end, she showed that she actually did care, by saving the entire school. She could just have left everyone to their fate, but instead of leaving, she chose to confront her enemy.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your take on this show. I'd watched it, but hadn't really gone into it in-depth like you did, so it was enjoyable going through it again with you. The themes of empathy, social struggles, family challenges, and the perils of interpersonal relationships all resonated with me (especially as a neurodivergent). Jenna Ortega did an excellent job presenting Wednesday's protective (and sometimes vicious) outer layer while also showing the little signs (facial expressions, head tilts, body language) which showed when that protective layer had been breached. Wednesday experienced the betrayal she has come to expect from people, but it looked as though it was the first time she had also experienced what it was like to have some true friends who will stand with her. Watching her evolve and slowly let people in was so satisfying.
Thank you! You were so focused on all psychological issues it was really nice to watch your reactions and listen to your professional knowledge! Honestly, to me Tyler’s story became the most interesting after the reveal. And it’s a little sad it’s told on canvas of a light hearted dark humour show. He’s like a teenager who’s struggling with this dangerous problem and neither his father, nor society care for that till he becomes a weapon in someone’s hands. That sounds a lot like some real world issues we have. Such a tragically messed up character, I loved that.
I don’t do therapy, nor have much interest towards psychology but I find your videos so comforting. Sometimes when I’m having a bad day, or just tired I love just doing to your channel and watching whatever I can, also helps that Wednesday’s one of my favourite shows :) So thank you, if you ever see this.
the 4th thing you bring is giving us more depth to the show. Showing us things and intricacies we didn't see ourselves. And 5th your creating a community where we all hang out together and discuss the things we love in the comments. Thank you!
I think it's also really interesting to think about how Tyler probably was drawn to Wednesday because he felt like he found someone who is similar to him (just like Wednesday, who likes people who feel like her in one way or an other). Because in the first episode, Wednesday was not involved with her investigation yet, I think at that point Tyler genuenly just felt like he finally found someone similar to himself. But later when she started investigating he started to manipulate her.
Interesting theory--and when he wanted her to escape because someone should, he was feeling trapped by Laurel although we assumed it was just typical small town pushback. Possibly Rowan wasn't an intended victim at that time, and he was saving Wednesday because he felt a connection there.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about that change in behaviour. There’s a point in the story about Jekyll and Hyde where Mr. Hyde starts coming out whenever he feels like it: he takes over and corrupts Jekyll, and Jekyll can’t change back as effectively as before. It doesn’t stop until Jekyll is dead. Seeing Tylers shift through that story made me wonder if that could be what has happened there as well? I think there’s a chance of Tyler still being aware of the hyde being a different part of him, but that they’ve started to merge in a way that makes the hyde influence Tylers thoughts more and more. Perhaps the hyde is the one who has the most control when we get to that scene? Idk, maybe I’m way off, but I think we’ll need to learn more about how it works in that world in order to really figure things out.
What I see here is that Wednesday who initially only thought of escape and despised entire school, nowňe put her life at risk to save the very same school. That's huge transformation. In some strange manner Wednesday adopted the school (I can imagine her as principal after twenty years).
My absolute favorite was seeing the shift in Tyler and Laurel. both kept potraying themselves as kind, empathetic people, and then suddenly nope, it was all a lie, and I loved it. Also seeing Bianca be an absolute boss is always a bonus. Hoping in S2 Xavier improves a bit and moves on from his "I did something hurtful to you so I'm just going to pretend it didn't happen and everything is cool now" attitude.
I have absolutely loved your reaction to this season! I felt all the emotions again with you during this video too. How wild?! I think we were all manipulated by Tyler. Can't wait for you react to Season 2!!!
Thanks for the journey. Miss Thornhill was Wednesday from the movies The Adams Family and Adams Family Values. When you asked if episodes 7 and 8 should be combined, I was think more along the lines of “should you do two for episode 8.” Psychology classes in college asked the students to evaluate the Shining and Pink Floyd the Wall . Now psyche classes can add this gem.
I found you because of Wednesday, subscribed because of The Last of Us, and staying ombecause of the personality, insight and individual!!!! Thank you so much for sharing and going along. Forever and always, Stay Great!!!
When she says "Weems was right, you do need psychiatric help" I feel like she's just furthering Wednesdays insecurities that she is missing information. I don't think Weems would ever actually say that, and that she cared about Wednesday and Wednesday knew that, so it would hurt to have someone you care about say that you need help
Love your insight on these shows! Honestly have learned so much and have a new awareness for myself and others! If you need another show to watch I definitely recommend warrior nun. Hope you continue and have a great day!
I’ve been watching all of your Wednesday reaction videos, and was waiting anxiously all week for the last video, and here it is! Thank you so much for everything you do, and keep going! I’m a huge fan and I’m sure that, like me, everyone here is so proud of you! Good job! :) Elise
When you say "The truth doctor" it is clear that you mean it. Being open about your shock at Tyler's behavior and Thornhill's manipulation would be hard for a behavioral professional to admit. I applaud your honesty!
Wow what a series . Emotional roller coaster . That last episode hits pretty hard . Your insight into the characters psychology has been a privilege to watch
these videos have been fun. Thank you for touching on how traumatic it would be for a 16-year-old to be framed by someone they trusted, falsely accused, chained up, and imprisoned. when I said how bad a felt for Xavier to two other fans of the show. They asked me why saying they both thought he was a sh*** character and hopefully it gives him the backbone to be locked up. I had to leave the chat because I was so disgusted that they thought it was ok for someone to go through that. To me going through what Xavier went through at the end is the stuff of nightmares. anyways these videos have fun and insightful.
It really goes to show the level of unfair vitriol many viewers have towards the Xavier character when they try to justify him being wrongfully jailed and dehumanized.
@@rollerturtle I know he's a fictional character. But honestly it scares me when people justify dehumanizing other people. It's never justified dehumanize another.
@@rollerturtle Considering how she treated him throughout the entire season despite him having her back only to have him falsely jailed, I'd say he had every right to feel how he felt when he was chained up. I don't care how "entitled" you think someone is, entitlement is never an excuse for false imprisonment. Besides, in the end he was absolutely right about none of that stuff happening if Wednesday wasn't there. Seeing how Crackstone's crypt was sealed with a bloodlock that could only be opened by a descendant of Goody Addams. So if she had just gone away like he told her to then Crackstone wouldn't have risen, Nevermore wouldn't have closed down, and Principal Weems might still be alive.
@@MrSFblack Laurel would never give up so easily. Wednesday coming back home would only inconvince Laurel, she would definiately either send Tyler after her or go for her herself
I usually don't like to comment. But your reactions, your insight is amazing and I've enjoyed this journey I'm so looking forward to your 'Last Of Us' series, so excited! Keep being amazing Courtney! ❤️
I watched all of your reaction videos and I have to say they are REALLY good. After watching this particular one though I realized that seeing as Tyler's mother had severe bipolar disorder and that's what triggered her Hyde, that Tyler does also probably have some sort of mental health issue as well I mean he was seeing a therapist so it makes sense. Also about the hug scene between Wednesday and Enid, that shows immense character growth and throughout the whole series even though Wednesday tried to claim she had no friends, she and Enid always had a good bond and Wednesday does care about Enid and that hug was exactly what Wednesday needed because one Enid literally just saved her life but also because she knew it was all over, she defeated crackstone and so that hug was relief for her definitely.
Hey I joined you at the beginning in the show, and have enjoyed both your reaction to the show and the education you have provided has actually helped me apply some of that knowledge to experiencing my own mind the last few weeks. Thank you!
First of all thank you for your reaction, comments. It was a good opportunity to provide insight into many areas. I wonder if Tyler was fully aware of his monster side or not. Reaction suggestion: the famous Netflix show The Queen's Gambit would be a good serie to check out, react to. One of the highest rated most views series of all times, and there are many opportunities to talk about human nature and behaviours following the little orphan's path, journey in it.
What a great video to end off season 1 of Wednesday, I kind of wish you talked more about the hug between Enid and Wednesday, but seeing your reaction to it is already great. I love that scene so much, the way Wednesday pushes Enid away but keeps her in touch, the way they look at each other, and best of all, the way Wednesday drops her walls and pulls Enid back into the hug. The emotion there was... I don't know, but I love the scene. Looking forward to more from you in the future, including season 2.
If you ever rewatch season one, a fun thing to look out for is every time Tyler's messaging someone on his cell. In hindsight it's obvious he's communicating with Laurel
Ms Thornhill gave Wednesday a Frankenstein book. This is a big clue that Ms Thornhill was having Tyler collect body parts from descendants of Villagers from Crackstone’s era in order to make a new body for Crackstone to possess. Similar to Dr Frankenstein grave robbing for fresh body parts for his reanimating experiment.
It is a good thing that humans like you exist. A man would be lucky to have such a good therapist like you to go to... but at least you are there for other troubled souls. Thank the gods for that. Your insights and thought about the characters and their psyches in this show are very interesting. Thank you.
You did such an excellent job of analyzing the entire 1st season and all its characters for every episode! Especially loved all your spot-on commentaries involving Wednesday, Tyler, Enid, and the Psychiatrist that was murdered by the hyde (aka Tyler). I can't wait to see your character analysis for everyone in season 2. I may be wrong on this but I somehow feel that Principle Larissa Weems either never died (we did not see a funeral) or through sorcery was brought back to life. Also, I thought of another possibility that the person driving Wednesday home is Principle Weems and was not Lurch. Who knows! 💜
I have never refreshed a page more in my life! It was driving me crazy to wait for your reaction to Tyler and you didn’t disappoint!! ❤ Now do Legend of Vox Machina! 😂
I enjoyed your reactions to Wednesday so much! They were the best sort of reactions-the kind that made me appreciate and enjoy the show even more than I did when I watched it alone. ❤
Once again, thank you for your videos! I actually failed to persuade my friend to watch it and discuss with me so watching your videos was like watching it with someone else. It was very helpful and so much fun! I loved it!
thank you for taking us through the emotional spectrum of Wednesday I feel like I learned so much, and I'll def be tuning in for the last of us which I also started watching and loved the first episode even tho I'm not a fan of zombie stories
Thank you for making this series! I think you're a one of the most helpful creators on youtube. You provide content that is actually useful and instructive. I liked this show, because I share a lot of similarities with Wednesday, we think in a very similar way in certain situations. So this react series helped me learn not just more about the show, but even about myself. All I can say is Thank you once again!
You have no idea how many shows, books and movies I've watched; complained about a character getting out of shape over a secret that literally had nothing to do with them. Thank you for validating my thoughts on the subject.
I found your "reacts" to this show after I had already seen see the full season. I very much enjoyed Wednesday and found your reacts to be fun and interesting. But, it's more than that. My mother has been sick, and in out of the hospital the past several months. She passed about a week and a half ago. Your reacts have been an incredible source of comfort. Not exactly sure why, it's not like you've been counseling me. But, every week, I found these to be so oddly helpful, interesting and a nice temporary departure from my reality. Thank you.
Thank you so so much for your reaction to this series and your insights. I learn so many things and enjoyed rewatching it... I was waiting so so much to your reaction to this epic finaly with so many twisted and turned between Laurel Gates reveal, Goody, Tyler and how you see it... I always wondered if he was truly manipulative towards Aednesday or if he didn't want to but still had to do it. Funny how she hates the outcast, but what she has done I'd literally what outcast would do and she controls it and pushed it further... I also love how the Enid, this gug show how both chatavyer and Wednesday changed...
Great video ! I really enjoyed you bringing us along while you watched the show. The only piece that is missing for me is the shift in Tyler's eye when he's talking to Wednesday at the police station. The way his eyes changed with some kind of guilt after he tells Wednesday she has no idea what's coming. I really think that he did care about her in his way but the Hyde was overpowering him.
You did a great job with your psychological analysis. I binged watched every one of your reactions without breaking. I'm looking forward to seeing season 2 and your reactions of that as well. Until then, Bless-ed Be!
Hearing you talk about psychology and mental health in regards to relationships made me want to ask you so many questions. My past relationship ended because of fear, due to her unhealed trauma. She wasn't in the wrong for doing what she did and cutting me off, but i also never did and never will do the things i was accused of. How do you force yourself to fall out of love with someone who never wronged you? And because i do love her, its why i need to respect her decision and not persue her to heal our relationship. Its been over a year and it still eats at me.
I'm already excited to watch ypur videos on season 2 when it comes out...love your videos, mental awareness is extremely important And even though we dont know you hearing someone appreciate your existence is always good to hear
I can't wait for season 2!! Also, I think it would also be very interesting to see your reactions to Ginny and Georgia 😊 I think there's a lot of psychological stuff to discuss in the series
Can you like do a video of what things Wednesday probably was feeling for characters like Xavier , Enid , Tyler etc out of body language or anythings else . I know that its gonna be hard since she wasn't much open about her feelings for others and the fact that she always wears that poker face but if you could do this it would be so interesting and clear for some misunderstanding on the character. I would love to see relationship explainations like Bianca and Wednesday coming to amends or the hug between enid and Wednesday or Xavier and Wednesday etc. Thank u for this amazing series!!
would be nice indeed to hear her opinion on that, especially the relationship between Wednesday & enid, since some ppl allegedly saw & want a romantic interest between them, saw the show like 3 times didn't see any hint to that, but ppl are pushing it hard for season 2..
It always amazes me that when he opens up a little to others and especially to Tyler and that after discovering the truth about him, Wednesday immediately shuts down and doesn't hesitate to torture him and show no mercy.
I had so much fun seeing your reactions when I knew the outcome and your thoughts on certain psychological themes in the show as well it was quite an interesting watch through !!
A previous episode said there were 3 methods to trigger a Hyde’s transformation. In Dr Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde novel, Jeckyl created a potion to repress his negative thoughts and emotions, inadvertently crating an alternate identity that is the complete opposite of Jeckyll. Ms Thornhill being a botanist and studied Hydes was able to create a similar potion to Jeckyll’s.
Um, actually in the novel Dr. J made a potion to transform into somebody else so he can indulge all his vices and desires and only when Hyde started taking control and transforming spontaneously did he try to stop himself. He was also completely aware of all he did as Mr Hyde
I love your channel and this reaction series was amazing… will miss it a lot! But thank you for all the amazing and detailed insights you gave us 🤍 we care about you too!!
Love your show and I can't wait to see what you do next. My friend's daughter is a therapist and I recommended your channel to her. Keep up the great work 🖖😎👍
I really like what you said about the unbearability of being wrongfully incarcerated and it made me feel very validated as I've unfortunately had this experience.
I have overly enjoyed our journey throughout this season of one of my newfound favorite series of all time, Wednesday 🖤 Soo looking forward to our journey into season 2 🙏🏾💐🖤 definitely a fan of your Wednesday reviews & reactions
The Truth Doctor Show thank you for uploading this video i enjoyed it this finale episode of wednesday shocked me when Tyler was the hyde please comment to me in respond
Hi! I just want to say that I discovered your channel this week because after I finished watching Wednesday, I felt like I wanted maybe to see more of it, or maybe I needed explanations, and I found your videos, and it was sooo interesting, I love all your explanations about mental health. I am now in my first year at the Faculty of Psychology and I am very pasionate about it, I just want to say that I love you and what you do!!!😍😍❣❣ (english is not my first language so I hope I didn't make too many mistakes)
Fantastic! The enthusiasm keeps you from lapsing to vocal fry. It also makes your comments even more fun to follow. Really enjoyed this reaction to the show (I haven’t even watched the series) & have learn a great deal from your reactions.
I found this channel via your Wednesday videos, and I absolutely love your channel! I'm looking forward to The Last of Us and I saw that you also reacted to Arcane, so I'm gonna go watch your Arcane videos now. Have a nice day!
Love, love, LOVED this journey with you and learned a lot about the makeup of the characters. Once I start Last of Us when I have time I'll be hitting the channel up to see your reacts!! Keep up the amazing work, doc!!
I loved this show so much, and I really enjoyed the psychology perspective! I can't wait for season 2! I just started watching The Last of Us! I know nothing about the video game, so I'm a newbie to this story. Maybe one day, you can react to WandaVison and talk about what extreme/overwhelming grief can do to the mind/body and explain why how easy it was for Wanda to create a whole other reality to escape her pain.
YESSS IM SO EXCITED. IM SUCH A HUGE FAN OF THE TLOU GAME AND THE SHOW ALREADY IS AMAZING
yess im so excited to watch tomorrow!!!
Great Video. But I feel like you missed a chance to talk about hypocrisy. Around 14:51 Crackstone wonders what "demon sorcery" kept Wednesday alive while he himself is an undead zombie sorcerer.
I have a question. What is a dark empath? Is it a type of empathy?
@@priyanshiprajapati7175 If I understood correctly it should be someone who uses his empathy to manipulate/hurt others....
Considering that Wednesday has no problem going for the throat in any situation, you have a very good point.
I don't like that part. It's too much. It would be better to just do it like with Pugsley. When she just let her brother hug her.
@@СвинкаСкреппа to be fair, when has Pugsley ever wolfed out and effed up a monster saving her life?
@@mandymcnalis7551 Maybe he did. We don't know ))). But I think hugging Enid back is a bit too much for Wednesday.
@@vladimirhoffman1787 It can. But she is not a hugger. :) Not stepping back as usual and allowing Enid to hug her was totally enough.
I was practically moved to tears when Wednesday hugged Enid back
My OTP
I absolutely think tyler has been manipulating Wednesday from the beginning. And last episode’s date was a sham so the master could break into Wednesday’s room and steal the diary.
yep, he gained her trust so she wouldnt suspect him
Yeah the date was fake so Laurel can stole the book and stab poor thing
Courtney.
@shizu shizuku when he was alive, sure. But as an undead with supernatural abilities, it seems hypocritical.
I honestly believe both the friendships between Wednesday&Eugene and the one between Enid&Hand are more earned than the one between Wednesday&Enid.ù___U
"The hypocrisy of Laurel and Crackstone."YES! They wanna get rid of magical beings...and they both use *MAGIC* to do it! 🤦♂🤦♂
@shizu shizuku like I said, hypocrisy.
Remember back in the first episode, when Tyler said, "For what it's worth, I believe you."? Yeah, he was enjoying the game.
There's one line I loved (and right now, I'm not even sure if Tyler or Thornhill said it but it doesn't really matter) and that's "to make you feel special"
It shows everything Tyler and Thornhill do and say to her in a different light from the moment Wednesday interacts with them for the first time.
That Wednesday/Enid hug is everything.
A quote that I once heard was "the worst thing you can do to an innocent man is accuse him"
Tyler is a really interesting character for me, even if everything between them was manipulation at the mid and end season there is one scene on the first episode that is probably the scene where i think he was fully honest with Wednesday.
Pretty sure I read somewhere that either Ortega or Burton wanted Wednesday's lack of blinking to be a thing. Might be worth a quick google search.
saved you the search bc it was bugging me XD. From an article from Seventeen:
"On November 28, Netflix tweeted out the backstory of where Wednesday's non-blinking nature came from.
Ginny & Georgia would be an AMAZING series to analyse: self-harm, depression, therapy, secrets, diversity, mother/daughter relationship.
Yes, there is a lot to unpack in that series.
Yes. I wonder if he'll be a part of S2 at all. I really hope so. 🤞
Thank you 😊
the 4th thing you bring is giving us more depth to the show.
@@ExtraordinaryMachine333 No, he never loved her. He needed her alive for the plan to work.
I think Tyler was fighting the Hyde. His bathtub screaming scene was NOT someone who is happy withthe violence.
It makes sense for Tyler to have a split personality with the whole Dr Jekyl and mr Hyde theme
Hope he’s nicer too
09:58 Definitely!! Brain is an organ too, it also needs to be taken care of and looked after. There is no shame in taking good care of your well being
I have absolutely loved your reaction to this season! I felt all the emotions again with you during this video too. How wild?! I think we were all manipulated by Tyler. Can't wait for you react to Season 2!!!
Thought I could trust him too.
Well, they said Hydes are talented guys.
Her real beef was because her job was stolen.
Good job! :)

When you say "The truth doctor" it is clear that you mean it. Being open about your shock at Tyler's behavior and Thornhill's manipulation would be hard for a behavioral professional to admit. I applaud your honesty!
4:11-4:28 that scene gave me chills cuz it caught me off guard so much, like damn ok Tyler 😶😶😶
@@rollerturtle
I know he's a fictional character.

The final hug made me cryy!!!😭😭
Thank you!
When you called Tyler a gentle soul in the last video, I thought to myself “honey, you got a big storm comin’”😂
That hug was so earned! I tear up every time.
First of all thank you for your reaction, comments. It was a good opportunity to provide insight into many areas.
I wonder if Tyler was fully aware of his monster side or not.
Reaction suggestion: the famous Netflix show The Queen's Gambit would be a good serie to check out, react to. One of the highest rated most views series of all times,
and there are many opportunities to talk about human nature and behaviours following the little orphan's path, journey in it.

Hi, I was checking all day for the new video. Thank you!
Thank you.

I LOVE how you did your hair for this episode!!
"Tyler's such a gentle soul"

I'm already excited to watch ypur videos on season 2 when it comes out...love your videos, mental awareness is extremely important
And even though we dont know you hearing someone appreciate your existence is always good to hear

Can't wait for TLOU videos!
Just so everyone knows today is Hunter Doohan (Tyler’s) actual birthday.
I love your videos! I hope your channel BLOWS UP bc you have so much to share!
Thing holding enids hand when she shifted back to being human was the cutest thing
I love that you can emote how I felt, because my flat-affect autism doesn’t allow it.
Have loved your videos about this show.
Thank you! It was a great journey through psychological aspects of Wednesday ☀️ I'm staying for more content for sure!

The fight between Tyler and Enid was so cool 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I was surprised that you didn't give analysis of the hug at the end. It was significant.
re: 7:25-7:46 In my opinion most categories or labels that people put on us are limiting and over simplified. I often think that's the point.
Thank you for a really informative and still entertaining reaction to this great show… many thanks from the uk x
Absolutely admire your insight on the human condition. I also absolutely love your hair 😂🥰
Fantastic! The enthusiasm keeps you from lapsing to vocal fry. It also makes your comments even more fun to follow.
Really enjoyed this reaction to the show (I haven’t even watched the series) & have learn a great deal from your reactions.
I know this might not have anything to do with the episode and stuff but that hairstyle looks so good on you !

Love, love, LOVED this journey with you and learned a lot about the makeup of the characters. Once I start Last of Us when I have time I'll be hitting the channel up to see your reacts!! Keep up the amazing work, doc!!
I literally just thought: "Wait, it's wednesday. Why hasnt she uploaded the final episode?", and five minutes later, it's here!
Your analysis of this Show was very interesting to listen to, i hope you do it for Season 2 too.
I enjoyed watching your reaction as much as I enjoyed watching the actual show. So good
Thank you for your reaction videos on this series. Your commentary, character analysis, and explanations were very insightful.
