I loved the first two episodes of The Bear, Season 2 😮 They've got a ton of work to do both in the restaurant and within themselves! Please let me know your thoughts; I am really curious to hear what people think of this show as I binged Season 1 and am going to be watching Season 2 over the next four weeks! If there is something missing from this episode that you'd like me to comment on let me know and I'll try and answer it in the comments or in next week's video. Thank you for being here! 👇

Richie: “Listen in this kind of situation, what you *need* is an Alpha Male.” Nat: “Ok: move the fucking lockers.” Nat was so lovely this season I swear.

I was looking for psychologists on RUclips to review The Bear since the show is like the definition of working through trauma to achieve self realisation. It's a prime candidate for therapist analysis.
I feel like one reason Mikey shut Carmy out was because he didn’t want him to see the ugliness of his addiction. There’s a moment in S2E6 when Carmy gives Mikey a gift and it makes him almost breakdown. It’s a “what could’ve been if I let him help me” moment and it was so beautifully sad. I love this show ❤
this is my absolute favorite show right now, and I am so soooo excited you're reacting to it because I love the depth of your insights. the bear is incredibly emotionally rich with themes of grief, acute and complex and intergenerational trauma, identity and purpose, given and chosen family, and trust and healing. yes, chef, and yes dr. courtney! ❤
This show is so good, but very underrated. Please keep up the reactions for the whole season despite the view count, the analysis provided in this video is great. Excited to see the rest of the season analyzed like this.

It isn’t weird that it gives me anxiety??? I grew up in chaos and have a peaceful home now, so all the cursing and stress and loud noises freak me out. Lol
People in this comments section keep talking about episode 6, which is fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but episode 7 was my favorite of the season. It was beautifully done and sort of insular, almost working on its own as a short film. Wonderfully inspiring. Also the Copenhagen episode. That one was pretty sweet.
So excited for this series. You nailed so much about what makes this season great. They grow together as a team but not without conflict and stopping, reassessing, and reassuring each other that they got this because they are a together. But their personal demons aren’t magically fixed because their work environment improves. Like so much of what makes it interesting is they aren’t made whole by work.they’re just made better by the bonds they formed there. This is my favourite currently airing show& I can’t wait for more of your insights.
This is really amazing and deep insight combined with excellent production work in terms of showing pertinent video from earlier scenes to add a lot of emphasis to your commentary. Well done. I love the Bear and look forward to your commentary on its episodes and I will definitely check out some of your other videos because your style and commentary is excellent as well.
Omg. I cannot WAIT for you to react to season 2 episode 6. It’s so good! You’re going to have a field day analyzing all of the characters in that episode.
I love this show. It has personally inspired me. I've adopted the motto "Just Keep Going". I have incredibly bad anxiety and these characters are so relatable.
This is such a beautiful series. There's an air of sweetness, care and love permeated on the whole series, in spite of all the conflict and chaos. I fell in love with Jeremy on Shameless, he is such a good actor. Makes a wonderful work on portraying grief and loss here.
I have cptsd and intense, anxiety and depression, and I have a lot of drug addicts and alcoholics in my family, and the show depicts all those things so well
Okay i haven’t even watched it yet, but I already know it’s gonna be good. I sincerely enjoy your analysis. Just wanted to say thank you for choosing this show to react to I absolutely love it. Also exited to see you react to episode 6.❤
Just starting this vid. I'm a chef here in Chicago. I'm excited to see this series from your lense. The food industry can be super intense and felt the show was very authentic. About to start the video. Look forward to commenting afterwards.
OMG! You are making me fall in love with Richie even more. Would you ever consider doing season 1 episode by episode? I didn’t notice both Syd and Nat were shocked at Carmy promising such quick return or getting the property. That’s insane!
Richie's character arc is so great. I get pumped and emotional during episodes 7 onward. He's throwing 120% into his new responsibilities and he's killing it by season's end.
Thank you for this! Been ruminating on this show for the past few days - for some reason I became obsessed with a few of Carmy's monologues and it awesome to see them explained a bit more. Gracias!
Please, continue with this. There's so much to be said about this season since almost everyone in this fucking series is (not) dealing with heavy mental issues!
As always, a great video and wonderful gems dropped with good explanations. Thank you for you're time and energy, looking forward to the rest of the seasons vids from you. Stay great!!!!
Might have found this channel cause of the idol and liked your analysis exponentially more than the show itself but so glad you're reacting to this actually good story now! In the middle of season 2 myself!
I just happened upon your channel and absolutely enjoyed it. Thank you for your insights. This is definitely a stellar show, I've watched every episode, and it makes you feel like you're part of their group!
Hola first I want to thank you. I love your reactions and your psychological analysis helps a lot. It's a shame you didn't continue or there aren't more videos of you with the bear. I loved much of your analysis in Arcane and Euphoria it complements many of my opinions and thoughts.
More more more! Keep them coming! Haha. But seriously, this was really enjoyable to watch and I hope you continue to cover this season. (Especially episode six 😬)
As a Grad student in the field, these videos are both entertaining and educational ! Appreciate the content. A future request, breakdowns on the Succession series👀

Cant wait for episode 6; it might be a long talk. Honestly, that episode gave me a weird helpless feeling. Im trying to understand the Mom. I had such empathy for Sugar😢in that episode. I absolutely love your reaction videos. If possible, please do one on The Fall series, especially on Paul Spector and Stella Gibson. Thank you for sharing your insight and wisdom.
can you do something about shera and the princesses of power? this is an interesting series indeed and there is even a theory that one of the characters (catra) has or is showing signs of BPD
There was a moment I'm surprised you didn't address. Around the 9:30 mark Carmy talks about how it's "difficult to teach people how to give a shit." As a manager I spend most of my time trying to inspire people to care half as much as I do. It's exhausting and stressful yet I understand that you can't make someone care about something they're not invested in.
Hi Dr Tracy. This is stupid, but if you do see this comment, could you maybe make a video about how therapists (or you) would react to certain things (like panic attacks in session or relapses etc). Maybe ask other people what they want to know as well. I think it could reassure a lot of people that dont quite trust therapy yet or are really anxious about it. Thank you so much, i love your videos and its amazing how much you managed to accomplish. When youre struggling with your mental health it feels like itll never get better, you prove otherwise. Keep being amazing

Can you please do Carnival Row? I think you'll enjoy it. It also has a lot for you to work with
My take on Richie? I really hadn’t taken his grief into account, because he can’t see what’s wrong with running the place à la Michael…lackadaisical, sloppy, etc - but ‘all buddies together’, particularly in a bar at 6:45 am!
We don’t really see the dynamic between Richie & Michael - AND the traumatic effect on Carmen- until, the monumental ‘Fishes’: but that’s later in Season 2, so no spoilers! As for Richie’s
future….

As Natalie called out Carmy for never asking her if she was okay, neither asked Richie either.
