Nice review! What I like is that there is no patch gap if the amp sim are the same between patches. It's even the same if the volume changes or mod is added.
Amazing. We are living in some unique times brothers and sisters. I bought one of these as soon as it ws announced and I heard it. You do it justice BK. No longer does the little guy or the poor have to miss out on sounding like a Rock Star,or George Benson which ever you prefer. BAM ! Get one.GET SOME !
@@Deliquescentinsight Hello. Michael. Just for home. I haven't messed with it enough to now it's limitations/advantages as I have other modelers and pre-amps/amps etc.(Hoarder) to muck with. For the cost of the unit it is amazing from what I have heard from some people.I think from this point on, we are going to see a plethora of amazing modelers and I love that the Chinese are reverse designing everything. Don't get mad because most everything is made there anyway.I grew up Dirt Ass Poor so I'm all about affordability. This particular form of analog modeling is definately on the right track. The next version and the ones after that will be even better.
Your lucky! When i was starting out fx pedals at these prices were just so 5/10. Good for knowing what fx pedals actually did but nit great for much else
Terrific review, and great quality demo. I was on the fence about this after other video reviews (which sounded pretty badly recorded), but you've sold me on it!.
@jonesy : it does the job, no problem. It sounds better from the monitor headphone output, maybe. Anyway the eq must be modified a bit ; fortunately there is a feature for final eq, easy to access.
Jeez the price of the second batch Artist got in went up big time they were initially $169AUD. Guess that's what happens when they are selling fast, up the price. Still beats paying Line6 prices though & I would not mind betting the bean counters at Line6/Headrush etc are getting nervous. Great to see Nu-x sticking it up them not all of us can afford Helix/Fractal prices.
A really good product at a decent price just over £100 new in the UK now, the TSAC NUX technology makes this stand out sound wise compared with other similar units even though others sound very good as well, 32bit and able to change the order of effects in the chain is great, the online app also seems to look and work well, I might get one soon just as a back up or if I’m feeling really lazy when going rehearsing with my band and can’t be bothered to lug all my guitar rig. Thanks Brett love your reviews as they always get straight to the point, show a good variety of sounds and the general working applications unlike many who waffle on too much and then play a really long riff for too long basically saying look at me I can shredd and I’m great, shredd and bin them is what I say! Definitely my go to gear guy on RUclips if I want a decent quick review of a product. Spot on Brett cheers
32 bits 48 kHz audio interface 32 bits AD DA 48 kHz No battery only adaptor 9 v. My Nux MG-300 sound very good and dynamic. Efects sound pretty closed reverb delays modulations very nice wise sound. Thanks
Wow. nice video. Could I use the MG300 as just a pedal for recording when I play volume swell or wha wha in a DAW like Logic or Cubase? I would like to re-amp with the Guitar rig (Plug-in) also.
It sounds great. I have only one concern. When it's connected through USB, do you face latency? Or does it act as a proper USB interface with zero latency?
Leo Gibson's channel has a latency test video for several interfaces including this one. Seems to have less than 10ms latency through USB, which is pretty good.
Wow....very impressive little piece of gear. I like it. Perfect size for home and practice but this could also serve as a good backup device for live use in a pinch when using modelers?
Super nice video. I only saw one 1/4" output. How does this unit do stereo effects with only one output? The demo does sound great, but wondering how you would record in stereo. Thanks as always. Phil NYC area
Can you control the effects from the foot pedals or only manually ? (as in this modeler can be used in a live performance or is it only for studio recordings)
I'm tempted to buy one of these to replace my NUX MG-100 since I could use the MG-300's USB interface, but the Valeton GP100 also has my attention. 4:44: Just noticed a typo in the software on their Vibe pedal - "INTENSIYTY" :)
I'm torn. The -300 for $150-ish OR the -30 for $300 with it's bells and whistles. But is that the only difference? Bells and whistles? Sounds seem very similar. Best Regards!
I think I was mighty impressed with the tones coming from this guy. Both were moved on fairly quickly, though, so I can't really compare. The videos are a better testament than my memory.
Hi Brett ... have one question which I hope you can answer ... how does the NUX 300 perform with an amp .. either v/v or solid state .. I would imagine solid state would allow it to perfom best of the 2>>> cheers steve
Very nice review! Just about to pick this beauty up. I've one question though...you can load 3rd party IRs...but can you load 3rd party reverb and delay IRs? Thanks
This thing is so cheap and sounds so incredibly good for the money, I may have to get one in case they realize they're selling it at the wrong price! lol ($149 USD)
Can you use the amp types with this plugged into your regular amp? Or do we have to disable that. I was wondering if I put this in the FX loop...could I get the diff amp type sounds?
In Australia the Valeton GP-100 is currently slightly more expensive at AU$249 versus AU$219 for the NUX MG-300. I'm curious on Brett's take on the GP-100. Other reviewers on RUclips seem to prefer the sound of the MG-300 but I'm not sure they're really doing either pedal justice. Though I suspect the sound difference between the two is so subtle that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a mix anyway. So it probably comes down to features, where the GP-100 seems to edge ahead slightly. I get the impression both are in demand, so I suppose if you really hated the sound of one of them you could sell it fairly easily, get most of your money back then buy the other one.
Hello. Has anyone used this with a Windows 7 computer? I have tried different USB cables and It see the USB cable but does not connect to my computer? I dont know if the cables are for charging only or can transmit data. My phone is now USB C so I cannot use that to test them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
When I play the same presets on my MG-300, it sounds nothing like yours. In fact, it is really underwhelming. I think this unit works well with expensive gear, but not with a home rig. Really disappointing, as most of us can't afford the expensive mixers and speakers.
This has been a terrible year for professional musicians, but when it comes to gear, we live in wondrous times. This little thing sounds damn good.
You always make everybody's gear sound great, and your playing is inspirational!!!! Nice Job....

Hello👋🏼😀 can i use this with my Nux Mighty 20 BT amp?
So Brett does the Harmonizer pedal (mod section) work like an Octave pedal or is it different again?

Would this unit also sound good using the built-in preamps into a solid state power amp and 2x12 cabinet?

Does the looper have an undo function? ( And not just 'clear all' )
Do you need to buy an amp for the looper to work, or does it work with USB?
In Studio Direct mode should I use a balanced TSR or a unbalanced TS cable to connect directly into my mixer?
