Am I just crazy or does this thing sound RIDICULOUSLY GOOD- not just "for it's price point" but at ANY price point..

You will be shocked if you get one, the factory presets are horrid and most sound like they are coming through a tunnel.

I run that pedal through my Peavey 6505 amp's return jack on the effects loop. I essentially run amp models and effects without the cab responses and have never had a greater tone through this amp. Very happy with the tones, and what's more, when i use it by itself with the cab responses through head-phones the amp models and effects are great. long live Nu-X!
Not all ppl at comments are normal humans, there are gear dummies too. So i will connect nux at return jack of my amp and the guitar on the common input that iam used to or connect to ---> send of the effect loop? Thx in advance !

@@Miamiborne1969 OK Dave I gave this thing a good go, over a week. First of all the presets are mostly horrible. Most of the effects are unusable and terrible. The biggest problem is there are these irritating transients in over driven patches. The 7 band EQ has no hope of fixing this. I would say that if you want one of these just for fun in your bedroom you may find it OK but if you want to use it to record you will soon find it's limitations. MG300 is trying to be a one stop shop and in the process does nothing well but somethings just OK.
@@Neil-Aspinall Dont use the presets then!! You are in a very small minority about this. Presets on most things are not best thing about the unit. How many of your audience come up after a gig and complaint about the transients that you hear? None! If this was a 1000 euro unit you wouldnt hear them either.
@@paulneedham9885 I wanted it for recording. I tried for a week to make it sound decent and it was not possible, it's a toy and at that price I should have known better. Maybe my sense of quality audio is a little higher than most Paul?
I just ordered it as "small gear" option to take to a jam session, it should arrive tomorrow. Amazing tones! Biggest problem is that there are just two knobs so you can only switch presets in a serial way. So I'll try to create or get some basic presets: clean solo, clean rhythm (funk), clean solo chorus, crunch, basic lead, distant lead with delay and reverb.

Great tone !
The thing about this box is that if you let a chord or note ring out, sometimes you will hear that glitchy digital interference (crackling sound). If you’re into metal mayhem that won’t be a problem but for clean playing and serious recording steer clear.
It is necessary to play with the settings, everything is set according to the wishes of the guitarist. It just takes time.
That sound is usually output clipping. Your output level is too hot.
When you look at the effect pedals in the Nux mg300, such as the modulation pedal, time-based pedal, overdrive or distortion effect pedal, it seems almost the same as the pedal in the Nux mg100 but the advantage of the Nux mg300 is that there is an additional USB connection for downloading sounds for free, in my opinion, the multi-effects nux sound very good and almost similar to the original effects pedal / stompbox
mg100 I used 2years ago totally bad but mg300 look sound is great.

I own a Boss Katana 50mk2 and im not enjoying it.. doing lots of research for alternatives i found the NUX MG 300 and now i think about selling my amp to get this fx pedal. Looks way easier to work with! And sound very very impressive! So am i right to just need like a cabinet and connect it and go?

How many effects can you stack?
i just bought one, and though it's cheap and good it's not the most versitile
there is no whammy. though there is a pitch shifter
also you can have one of each. distortion modulation delay and reverb
I've seen at least 10+ videos of this unit and it sounds amazzing. Is this really that good? I wanted to get an analog pedal/ unit specifically like the nux cerebus but can't help thinking this is so much better as an option for tones even after it being digital.
try both yourself before making the final purchase.

Sounds really food not processed, the modulation, delay & reverbs all sound great, drives are good, I’ll probably buy one just to get the JHS morning glory and DS1 tones and all the modulation and ambient effects will defo work for me, for the low price of this unit definitely seems worth the investment. Cheers

This video man.. Not sure if I need more guitar lessons or one of these MG-300's, they sound amazing! I enjoyed my "Cerebrus" for a few years and it's twice the cost of this unit and doesn't have half the features! What's up with that?

I had the cerbarus but didn't really like the drive sounds,sold it. I now have this and like it much better and its a lot easier to get the sounds your looking for very easy to understand how it works.

How to setting 2 octave up picht shifter on the nux mg 300?
Wow. nice video. Could I use the MG300 as just a pedal for recording when I play volume swell or wha wha in a DAW like Logic or Cubase? I would like to re-amp with the Guitar rig (Plug-in) also.
Hi, I was wondering, do the Nux mg 400 and Mg 30 sound exactly the same as the Mg 300 ?
No, not really.
While using the MG-300 as an interface i surely can record, but it is impossible to monitor or even play back.
If i want to do that, the only workaround I've found was to set my input to Nux Mg-300 but my output to System Default (Macbook Speakers).
So i have to use my headphones connected to the mac and not to the nux.
I'm using Macbook M1 and logic.
Does anybody knows how to solve this?
Question. I bought a Nux mg 300 and I have a Nux Mg 30, but Quicktone doesn't open with the mg 300. what can I do?

I bought my NUX MG 300 yesterday. I am facing problem with its 3.5mm AUX mp3 input. The mp3 input soundtrack given through 3.5mm AUX input loses its clarity and volume so much so that it is useless to have it as a backing track. Is there any solution to this problem? @NUX
