3k subs at this moment still baffles me. Your content is world class, plus also the easy to understand language you use. Much appreciated as I've learnt so much so far..... Also, say hi to Doug for me.
I just received my ZV-E10 today, and this was the first video I came to do the setup! Thanks for the settings and more importantly the reasoning behind them!
Hi Mark, I came across your channel recently when I searched for camera comparison videos. I wanted to drop a quick message to say thanks for making such a comprehensive set of videos, they've been invaluable! And now post purchase this has saved me countless hours of testing to get things set up correctly. You do a fantastic job of adding in all of the important contextual details, you really don't miss a thing all whilst maintaining a fantastic and charismatic delivery. Thank you and best of luck for the future of your channel.
Mark, thanks for the BEST ZV-10 video I've found. I'm having a major issue with mine. I returned my first ZV-E10 (MK1) when it randomly shut down during a Zoom meeting. I've had the replacement camera for less than a week and today it did the same thing during a Zoom meeting. I'm streaming via HDMI through an ATEM mini. - I'm using a battery replacement power source. - Power saver is OFF. - Not using USB power and USB power is turned OFF. - Temp is set to HIGH. - The monitor screen is open and facing me. It goes black when this happens. - I've not seen any warnings but I may have missed them. - I'm able to immediately turn the camera back on so I don't think it is an overheating issue. - If I unplug the power supply and reconnect it without turning the camera off, the zoom lens resets as soon as power is reconnected. This doesn't happen when it goes blank on its own so I don't think that is is a power supply failure. If I then turn the camera off and back on, it restarts and the zoom lens resets itself. What am I missing? Is there hope? Anyone else having this issue? Should I replace the ZV-E10 and get something else? If so, what do you recommend? I'm doing full day workshops online with Zoom.
If they are all day zoom workshops - it's quite possible it's overheating and you missed the warning icon (it's small). How long has it run before it shuts down? From what you've mentioned, it could be a problem with the dummy battery you have connected. Why don't you try using the camera connected to USB power and see how long that gets you. With a trickle charge, you may not get a full day though maybe only 6 hours. You can also try a different brand of dummy battery.

I just bought a new lens to replace the kit lens that caused my little Dougie's issues. It was the lens BTW! I have no idea what happened to it as I never even took it off the camera since I put it on in September when I first got Doug! @@MarkBennettCameraCrisis J’ai déjà changé beaucoup de paramètres sur ma caméra grâce à vos précieux conseils. Merci encore!
@@ferragnedenis haha. I am in Toronto myself!! You should be able to charge the camera with a power bank yes - but your camera must be off. If your camera is on, the power bank will provide power and your battery will drain very slowly. About 10% per hour.

I comment on your videos a lot because I want to increase the activity so when I think, I comment. Anyway, I watched this video again for at least the 5th time so I could go through the settings again to set my manual mode. I had previously set my settings in memory recall so I couldn't set the white balance manually. I caught you saying that the camera will remember your manual settings after you turn the camera off and then you went back in to set the memory recall for 120fps slow mo. Anyway, thanks again for the 5th time. Probably more like 6th. I think I got it now. A month later. 😀
Because your my main man and I appreciate these deep dives, can I talk you into showing catalyst browse effects on rolling shutter, and maybe some of the same tests in vertical videos for the instatockers?
Maybe you’ve already seen it, but I did apply the catalyst browse to show the effect on rolling shutter in this vid: ruclips.net/video/UXxEcfnxJo4/видео.html But I will make sure to look at vertical video when I do my next catalyst browse video. Thanks!!

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis ….. yea I watched the video at work now. Amazon says the lens is on my porch. So great algorithm timing. Thanks again. I’ll mess with all those settings you mentioned later tonight on my E10.
Super helpful video man. Question - my LED lights are flickering hard on video on my sony zve - 10. Any tips / settings to reduce flicker/ light strobing?
I stream via OBS an annual event, and used your recommended settings successfully last year. This year I have had trouble with two things. 1) When the ZV-e10 is connected to the PC, the camera monitor switches off. 2) OBS shows the camera, but also all settings that are normally shown on the camera screen. I have upgraded the camera's firmware to version 2...
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you so much for responding to me! The solution was so simple that I'm a little ashamed to bother with it. Thank you for your time! :-)
Good show! Sony menus are a mess, but with a little practice you get used to them. I have several camera bodies ... all are same so menus are easy. I have decided not to upgrade for my RUclips content. I don't think the features offer anything that would improve my YT content. Great info in this video! Cheers
@@SteveZ1 I agree with you. I am happy with my old a5100s and don't see the ZV-E10 as anything but a lateral move for me (i do all my video in 1080p with separate sound). I have several bodies to replace, and I'm not going "upgrade" to the ZV-E10. I can wait for the next gen of the APS-C cameras. I actually like my a5100s better than the ZV for lot of reasons--flip-up screen, side SD slot, easy of use on gimbal. Cheers and good luck on your next purchase

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis
J’ai déjà changé beaucoup de paramètres sur ma caméra grâce à vos précieux conseils. Merci encore!
@@ferragnedenis haha. I am in Toronto myself!! You should be able to charge the camera with a power bank yes - but your camera must be off. If your camera is on, the power bank will provide power and your battery will drain very slowly. About 10% per hour.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis With such a good sense of humor, I almost guessed you could only be Canadian!
Thanks for the Power Bank info, I'll try again.
Very interesting... I recently got myself a ZVE10 with the kit lens for vlogging. Your instructional videos have been very informative, so thanks for that. 👍
Great to hear!!
Mine just arrived this morning, this video was perfectly timed!
Nice!!
Great video! Thank you so much for this helpful info!
You’re welcome!!
great detail and explanation for us ZV-E10 newbies to the big boy work of photography :) thanks
Glad it was helpful!! 👍👍
Im actually holding my camera and following the settings :) thanx mark :)
see - you’re doing it right 🤣🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis oh yeah :)
Thanks man this video was very helpful 👍
Glad to hear!!
Hahaha 6:20 . Love your humor bro! And awesome video. I’m considering buying this camera for my first one other than my phone. I’m on a tight budget but need to get learning camera and it seems best for your buck for what it offers. Mainly use it for weddings but want to dabble in everything to see what I like best. Will try to be personal use but mostly want to focus client based
Good choice!
This helped so much, thanks for your awesome content Mark
👍👍
Here we go!! Crazy but I’m working on a very similar video now. Ha! I won’t watch yours until mines complete so I don’t steal any of your info. Awesome foresight!
No, no - watch away!! I’m happy to share any insight or thoughts. Chances are people are watching both our channels when looking for info on the ZV-E10. I know I do that - I look for all the info I can on a camera I’m using. 👍👍 we can help each other’s channels grow 😎😎
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis sounds good, Ok I agree. Thanks. Will watch now

THANK YOU!!!! So much help with your videos. getting ready to go and you have saved me hours!
Glad to help!
Thanks Mark. This has been really helpful.
Glad to hear it!
Great video Mark! Exactly what I needed to get amazing footage out if my zv-e10. Thank you so much for another great video. Keep well and go easy on the beer 😜
🤣Green smoothies from now on
Just bought this camera and this video is brilliant I even like your quirkiness..
I gotta be me 🤣
I comment on your videos a lot because I want to increase the activity so when I think, I comment. 😀
feel free to comment still, even after you get it. 🤣Always appreciated!!
wow youre doing great buddy. love how simple you made this.
Thanks for putting this video out. Cheers!
Thank you, watched a bunch if your videos already ☺️
Thanks so much for this! I'm brand new to shooting and cameras in general this was so helpful!
Thanks!!
Nice valuable information..
Valeu!
too kind!!
Great video as usually, thanks.
Great video Mark. Super helpful to this beginner. I also just got the 17mm manual TT lens. I just happen to see I had to enable 'release without lens'. I would have assumed it was broken LOL
ha - yeah. I think the ZV-E10 has a little message that tells you to do that when you attach a manual lens - but I can’t be sure so I included it 🤣🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis ….. yea I watched the video at work now. Amazon says the lens is on my porch. So great algorithm timing. Thanks again. I’ll mess with all those settings you mentioned later tonight on my E10.
amazing video. Thanks a lot :) I just got mine and can't wait to start shooting videos :) Mary
Great and very helpful video. Thank you 🙂
You're very welcome!
This was great guide! i'm now like super famous youtuber!
Beautifully explained Mark. Thanks for making this👍❤️
Super helpful video man. Question - my LED lights are flickering hard on video on my sony zve - 10. Any tips / settings to reduce flicker/ light strobing?
are you shooting ntsc in a pal region? if so, switch your camera on pal and shoot 25fps
Very informative video sir !!
Insanely helpful video. Subbed!!
Thanks!!
How do I turn off (or lower) the sound that the camera makes when I press record and when I press the button to stop the recording? It’s loud 😅
Tab 2 - page 9 of 9 - audio signals - off
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thank you!!
I stream via OBS an annual event, and used your recommended settings successfully last year. This year I have had trouble with two things. 1) When the ZV-e10 is connected to the PC, the camera monitor switches off. 2) OBS shows the camera, but also all settings that are normally shown on the camera screen. I have upgraded the camera's firmware to version 2...
go into your settings and switch the HDMI info display to off
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you so much for responding to me! The solution was so simple that I'm a little ashamed to bother with it. Thank you for your time! :-)
Info on spot...Amazing content, can you please show the gimbals which would be compatible with the Sony Zv-E10...
Ronin SC amzn.to/3ArVsIZ and Weebil S would be good choices amzn.to/3A9Bz9c

You are amazing! Thanks for all!!
Muy buen trabajo Mark!!!
Thanks!! Muchas Gracias
This was helpful Mark. Thanks
You're the best man. 🙏
Thank you. That was a great video.
Good show! Sony menus are a mess, but with a little practice you get used to them. I have several camera bodies ... all are same so menus are easy. I have decided not to upgrade for my RUclips content. I don't think the features offer anything that would improve my YT content. Great info in this video! Cheers
Like anything - the menu gets easier after you shoot a bunch!! No need to upgrade any gear if it ain’t broke!! 👍👍
@@SteveZ1 and hopefully 10-bit!!
