Ha! Thanks Mark :)
you know it, brother!! 👍👍
Lets’s Go Mark!!! 🎉🎉🎉
For people like me who are gonna get the ZV E-10 soon this guy is a god sent.
Really appreciate your videos, Mark. You are literally ironing out every possible confusion and difficulty that another fellow ZV E-10 user might have. Keep up the good work pal. 👍🏼
Thanks!! It’s fun stuff. 👍👍
Mark, I recently started shooting with a ZV-10 that I purchased after watching your videos. Now I'm watching even more to hone my photo and video. I love that you keep all of the points together in the top left and right of the screen in all of your videos. It allows me to screenshot after you've explained for quick reference. I've never seen someone else do this and it's pretty freaking cool. Cheers.
Thanks!! it’s a pretty simple formula - but it does seem to help. 👍
Arey you still using Zv10? I was thinking to buy it but confused if it's still relevant.
@@pranildeshmukh7209of course it is still relevant! Is has the best camera award for 2021-2022 and is still relevant until this day especially if you want to start shooting or vlogging or a RUclips channel
I quickly followed and didn’t even wait to watch (still watching).. best energy ❤❤
this makes you the best type of person!a,
Wow, the memory recall function for switching between photo and video with unique settings is exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Bro you’re my favorite camera guy on youtube, your whole vibe is dope, thanks.
Haha - thanks!!
I feel nothing but gratefulness for your content, Mark. You helped me deciding on my camera and now you helping me getting the best out of it. All while I am entertained. Thank you!
That's a nice comment!! Thanks - I appreciate that.
Yes, I agree. I use active steadyshot on the ZV-1 for the crop when filming up close in small spaces. Great hack.
I bought the 16mm Sigma lens thanks to you. I did not use your link but had a friend who wanted to get the smaller MM lens and ended up selling me his 16mm for $200. Great deal and yes it's a beast with my ZV-E10 with the Zhiyun Crane M3. Thanks by the way for replying back to me on your other video. Nice to see content creators reaching out to people who chat with them. Amazing channel. Still love the humor in them. --chris
$200 - great deal on that lens!!
Just love your presentations and the humor, you make it fun and informative, thank you!
Thanks!!
Thanks Mark for tip about skipping through the menu tabs with the Fn button. I had absolutely no idea about that. 😅
it’s one of those little things that speeds up the menus so much 👍
I was just over watching Vic Barry, his video was really good - but I have to say you raised the bar. Your presentation setup and style are great, easy to follow and I subscribed.
Wow, thanks!
I subscribed to you since I saw how cool you are explaining the things so easy that I don't understand before. Also, I'm really convinced to buy ZVE10 because of your review.
Thanks Mark !
I bought the ZV E10 and Sigma 16mm because of you, and Im really happy that I did.
Great to hear!
Hooked me with the first hack cause I only have one lens! lmao
I'm loving your videos, killing it!
I need to learn how to control on camera on manual still, it's technically my first 😅
Thanks so much for the tips and tricks, can't wait for more content!
Awesome. More on the way 👍👍
Sos el Maestro Sensei de los "ZV-E10 users" Gracias por estos tips 🫶
I was insecure when chosing between Sigma 16 or 24 mm for my ZVE10, and this video helped me a lot! Specially the first tip about SteadyShot crop! I saved a lot of money buying the 16mm, and it is perfect for my little studio with the crop, plus it is great for my channel thumbs. Thank you! ❤
I watched so many of this guys camera videos in the past 2 days lmao. Made the switch from the canon m50 to the Sony ZV E10
I have an m50 myself, but the zv-e10 is much more capable on the video front 👍
Since i got mine yesterday, now i have to watch this again. Such a pretty boy Mark!!!!
😂
I just got the Sony ZV10 and the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and I was so disapointed because I am a beginner and I thought I made bad options because I cannot use the camera and the lens, but this legend gave me hope that I made the good decidion, thank you so much...
Well....I gone and done it. I...I....I went and bought my own "Doug". I just got back from Samy's Camera with a brand spanking new ZV-E10. Thankfully, I already have a couple Sony lenses, so I'm about to hunker down and play with Doug. Thanks again for all of your videos about Doug. They will prove invaluable in my new journey with...Doug.
And a good-Doug to you, sir!!
Thanks for specializing in these videos! I just got a ZV-E10, and I've learned more than an hour of your videos than anywhere else.
I've got a simple and quick video request for you if you're interested: I've had the hardest time figuring out how to adjust the aperture in manual mode. I've been switching back and forth to shutter priority to do it, but I know there has to be an easier way I'm looking. 1 minute ZV-E10 tips would be a neat and helpful concept.
Thanks!! You can adjust the aperture in manual mode by using the top dial. You can adjust shutter speed by using the circular button next to the trash can
Thanks for all the tips. I'm a new first time actual camera user. Got the Sony ZV E10 two days ago and trying to figure out all the best settings and your channel has definitely helped out a lot. You gained a new subscriber today. Once again thanks for the information.👍
Glad to help!!
This was the most informative video about the settings I've seen. Thank you so much for this!
I feel fery few youtubers shere these kind of hacks. Thank you.
I don't even know how to play an E-Chord anymore! too much camera learning. I saw what you did with that thumbnail. A+
I was thinking of a pic of me doing standup saying “HACK” but I thought it was a little on the nose 🤣🤣
You're making me love the ZV-E10
How can you not?? 🤣
This channels is ridiculously good. You were send to earth by the video gods
haha - thanks!!
Man love watching u and ur background music 🎶
Thanks!! I appreciate that - it’s always tricky to find the right backing music.
Mines arriving today from B&H! Your my ZVe10 go-to-guy!
nice!!
Love your videos and presentation style. Fun with facts. Just bought the MK1 ZVE10 as the price was too good to pass up and 10bit would be nice, but for RUclips video it; 's a little overkill and not worth spending the extra £300 to get the MK2. I love the HLG3 , it is very forgiving. I took a video at the beach in bright sunlight and was unable to see the screen properly. It was overexposed but I still managed to get a good colour grade from it.
You made me feel positive about the crop. I did just buy the Sony 10-18 mm lens due to worry about a tight shot. I finally found a ZVE10 in stock
Nice - I use the crop all the time!!
Awesome video as always, thanks for sharing more helpful tips
Thanks!! 👍
Great video Mark. Thanks for sharing the tips. Vic is really good as well.
Yeah - Vic is a great resource. 👍
Your videos really helped me de use which camera to go with and I decided to get my own lil Dougie! Really appreciate the tips you put together here.
Happy to help!
Just got one of these, my first camera, so confusing at first, thanks for the tutorials, subbed!
Welcome!
i love it zv-e10
That was so very useful, thank you. Hello from Stoney Creek, Ontario about 50 Southwest of you. :)
Hi Mark. Please make a video to guide audiences how to setup a light studio like you. Thanks
I did one a while back - ruclips.net/video/wYPOFmnmrsE/видео.html
Incredible video. My kind of OCD.
Just got this camera. Thank you for your video
Awesome camera!!
That's really helpful for a new user of a ZV-E10 😀 Good explained and showed all functions. Only one question i did not see the answer: When you use clear image zoom and you crop in by 1.5 or 2.0, is it with the crop still in 4k or does the crop resizes the complete videoresolution? Thanks in advance for your answer and keep on with Videos of the camera 😉🙏
I can't believe I can't find a video for the best backpack for this camera haha
Any backpack. It’s the smallest camera ever. I like the think and mirrorless movers. Little messenger bag
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I could have been more specific haha! Need a smallest one I can find that can carry a 16 inch. Macbook
I’ll try to do some bag stuff soon.
Great video! The Active Steady Shot and Clear Image Zoom tips are awesome for my own use (talking head stuff, zoom, etc). Quick question: what's the distance between you and the ZV-E10 when you recorded this? How far was the camera?
The camera was about 4 feet away
The Sigma 16mm is overkill! :D I love it too!
It’s the best!!
Great video, it helped me a lot to shoot my first vlog, thank you soooo much!!
Just a question: I use the kit-lense so far...what would be the advantage buying the Sigma 16mm 1.4? AND would the Auto Focus be the same at the kit lense and the Sigma? I'm so into your videos, huge fan, you will grow fast soon:)
The Sigma will be better in lowlight and give you a blurrier background. but the kit lens has a great zoom range of the 16-50 and can be really useful and you can get great footage out of it. You can always look into other lenses later as you figure out your favourite focal lengths.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks a lot for your quick answer:) As you said, I will test it out and maybe compare this two in the near future. I'm gonna have a fix set up and my kit lense is always on 16 mm. Therefore I'm considering buying a fix focus and have better picture quality and so on. Keep going with your amazing channel, love the vids about the Sony zv-e 10 the most:))
@@djicerolls_sounds I promise if you get the sigma it will change your outlook on this camera. I just purchased a 50mm and a few other lenses and they just blow the kit lens away.
If you're always losing your zoom lens on 16mm, then the 16mm f/1.4 will be a huge upgrade. The 16mm f/1.4 lets in 2.7 more stops of light than, or about 6 times as much light as, the 16-50mm does at 16mm f/3.5. That means your images will be much, much cleaner in lower light. Also, even in good lighting, the prime lens will be a lot sharper and your subject will pop from the background much better than with the zoom lens. 2.7 stops is a HUGE difference; it's about the same quality difference between something like an RX100 to an A7 III. The Sigma autofocuses just as well as any Sony lens in my experience.
Take a look at the Samyang 12mm F2 AF .. it's a pretty cool alternative to the Sigma 16 -- but eventually the Sigma should be on your list too. I use my 16mm on the kit lens a lot, but really is limited by it's f3.5 ... auto-focus on Sigma is great, Samyang and Tamron are strong too. No problems with AF at all. Kit lens is a great starter, and very useful. Don't believe all the You-Tube experts that poo-poo it. Cheers.
That ending made my day LMAO! thanks so much for the amazing video im learning so much about cameras that i though was alien language before now im getting to understand it more and more! Thanks so much i was looking to buy a Sony a6000 line camera but now that i discovered from your videos that this camera is 10 times better than the others for mainly video which is what i need and the price! Damn amazing! Dont know if you make already but would love to see a video explaining the difference between the sigma 16mm and the 30mm and if it would be worth only buying the body and then like a sigma 16mm or the body and pay 100 euros more and buy with the sony kit lens which is the 18-50mm? Anyways thanks so much for the amazing video! And dont forget to drink that Apple juice! Have a good one! 😃
The kit lens is nice to have - because sometimes, you just need it. But once you get some lenses, the kit lens will likely be used as a backup only. Since it’s only $100 - it’s nice to have it as a backup. The 16mm is a much wider lens that can be useful for vlogging and filming yourself in general. The 30 is a great focal length for walking around taking pictures or video where you have enough room to keep the camera away from the talent. There is a third lens which is the Sigma 56mm which is great for portraits as well 👍
Great video!! Subbed for the info, but just as much for the fun personality. Thanks, brother!!
Appreciate it!! 👍
Actually I found that if in the FN setup you have video NOT follow photo fn (even if you set up the same functions), your setup doesn’t change when switching from photo/A&B/video. So it’s like having 4 quick setups (2 video 2 photo) on your fingertips 😋
excellent tip!!
You've been really helpful with your videos . Thank you
Great channel. Glad to see it growing.
Thanks - creeping along!!
Mark, this is MADNESS! That be a good thing, btw. How you concisely categorize the hack and keep it simple for knuckleheads like me is awesome!
Heya, I have the same lens and camera and will do talking head AND outdoor exercise filming. As I want to capture full length body but, I'd like to eliminate the background distraction (jungle gym stuff, benches, trees, etc.). But, I don't want to film against a wall as the colors are cool. How can I get the most bokeh so people focus on the exercise host (standing distance, different lens, camera settings, etc.). Thanks
Which is your lens, the kit or the Sigma 16? If you want more blur, use the backround blur button on the ZV-E10, or set your camera to Aperture Priority and keep you fstop as low as possible (1.4 on the Sigma). also, stand as far away from the background as you can. The more room behind you, the more out of focus blur.👍
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis gottit I'm using the 16mm.
@@tadbubs The only issue is that if you are outside, with you aperture down all the way you may need an ND filter (sunglasses for your lens) so that your image isn’t too bright. But test it out first and see.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yep, I grabbed one of those variable filters as well. Thank you.
@@tadbubs you’re set!!
Really good tips! You cannot use Clear Zoom and shoot RAW pictures at the same time. Format have to be set to JPEG.
This is truth!!
Made my life easier
suscribed!!! your videos are both useful and hilarious, man!
i'm already a fan ;)
greetings from Chile
Awesome, thank you!
You have such good concise videos, thanks, will be getting zve10 soon!
Have fun!
Thank you for sharing this.
Was difficult to control myself, but i tried my best :-)
Talk about information overload. Had to save it to make sure I got everything :-)

Thanks Mark, I really appreciate and use many of your tips!
Great to hear!! 👍
You should add "firmware update" of the sony cam to v2 and the lens to now v4 of your sigma F1.4 lens :) This is my personal hack for you - thanks for doing this great of a job explaining all that - cheers :)
Just picked up my Doug and loving your videos! :)
Haha!! Congrats
Amazing videos, dude!
Thanks!!
Cant wait to do that active steady shot hack with my awesome tamron lens!!!!
Which one did you get again?
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis 11-20 mm f2.8 Di III-A RXD
@@ThisIsAquaculture nice. I hope I can get one in for review!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis it worked really well. I had that issue when i was trying to shoot in my studio space and I was getting that bubble effect. So I had to swap to the kit lens inside. But now.........viola! looks great. I was not happy that I couldn't use my expensive lens in my space.
@@ThisIsAquaculture Awesome!
Absolutely great video (I just bought the ZV-E10 after watching your review about the camera and I'm super happy with it). A beginner question: this "zoom" achieved with the SteadyShot and the Clear Image Zoom just crops the image but doesn't change the lens distortion/effect, right? So if you want the actual longer focal image (example: 50 mm for portrait) you need the optical lens.
Yes, it’s just a crop and a smart upscale that Sony does in camera that will give you better results than cropping in post
Thanks for the awesome videos, very informative and entertaining! I'm buying the zv-e10 because of you thank you. I want to purchase a 16mm lens but I cannot afford the Sigma that you use. Can you recommend a decent 16mm lens that is a little more cost effective? I would greatly appreciate it.
The sigma 16mm 1.4 is at BandH for $374. You will not really find a cheaper 16 than that bhpho.to/3KjCIQS
But if that is not in your price range, order the kit lens with the ZV-E10 because it zooms out to 16mm and is decent quality. Check out the video I did about the kit lens. ruclips.net/video/ISDqpdLx2Kk/видео.html
I simply love u man. Thx for the content
I appreciate that!
Loving all your ZVideos! 😉
Thanks. 😀😀
Bro.. keep up the good work. Thanks for the help.
Appreciate it - will do!! 👍
Awesome vids man. Picking one up for video to supplement my A7iii. Got a subscriber 🤙🏼
I have the same setup!
Amazing video. Thank you!
Hi Mark, your series is great and I've watched most of it so far. Do you have more info on how to shoot slow motion on the e10? Would appreciate a show case on your approach. Thanks keep up the great work!!
For slow motion, I use the HD mode 120fps (100fps in PAL). I don’t use s&q because it has a lower bit rate so the image won’t be quite as good.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks man, you're really doing good work here and am getting immense value.
Perfect tips Mark! thanks!

Hi Mark, thank you for all the amazing content that you've created for the ZVE10. I decided to go for my first mirrorless based of your videos.
Absolutely love them!! 😊
Now that I've got the camera and learning to use it, I have a question and hope you can answer it.
For the Sony Full Frames, there's a setting under ISO called ISO Auto Min SS which sets the lower limit for Shutter speed at Aperture priority mode.
I'm trying to find the same for the ZVE10 and couldn't find it anywhere and not even on blogs, community pages etc.
Have you used this or know where it's available?
unfortunately this is not an option. I have asked son6 to include it in an update, but no luck so far
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks a lot for your quick response!
I really hope that they include this in updates.
But thanks again for all your awesome content.

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis That hair flip though.... Something else! The ladies won't be able to resist 🤣
@@KPGuitarStudios I do it for the clicks
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Uhhh, pretty sure that was typo man... CHICKS. You typed clicks... Haha
@@KPGuitarStudios sadly - I meant clicks. 🤣🤣 the chick thing has sailed
I agree with you about monitor brightness outside, but the only problem with changing it to sunny weather etc is you are then not seeing what the photo will look like in reality, because it will be brighter, so you may tend to under expose it, then when you view it on your computer it will look too dark. Makes sense? The beauty of mirrorless is wysiwyg, which is where a viewfinder comes in handy outside in sunny weather. Hopefully on the zv-e10 mk2 :)
For me, the screen resolution is too low to get any real idea of how the pic will look in post. And that’s where I really miss the viewfinder - it’s really hard to review your images on the camera just looking at the LCD. I shoot with my zebras on, and I expose that way so that I don’t have to rely on that screen 🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yes, that's an option also, and I guess I could use the histogram or manual exposure indicator. I don't believe they will add a viewfinder on what they essentially market as a vlogging camera. I only use it as a photo camera, which is way advanced than my old a6400, af and tracking wise. Keep up the great work!
@@duncanthorn6338 Thanks!!
My old 5100s run cooler with Airplane Mode off. I don't use the wireless features except when I use the remote app, Camoodoo. Good hacks to know. I am getting a little more
interested in the ZV-E10, but still think it is a bit of a lateral move. I really would like a camera with 10-bit 4:2:2 internal in an APS-C format ... I might get one ZV -- while I wait. You are pretty persuasive in your reviews of the little guy. Cheers.
Haha. Thanks JR!! 10bit would be amazing. Interesting about that airplane mode - I wonder if it’s the same for the ZV
your videos are soooo helpful
I'm so glad!
Great info. Thanks!
No problem!
Thanks Mark! What about Noise Reduction and Display quality settings?
Awesome, thanks for this!
You’re welcome!! 👍
Who doesn't love a good ol hack? :)
Great video. Thanks.
Thanks!!
Wonderful informtaion. Does the active stabilization crop really not lose resolution (like when zooming in)? I have a Canon R6 which has a crop mode (works with the sensor area instead of zooming) and the resolution really equals filming at the equivalent focal length - while zooming causes severe resolution loss in comparison. Is it the same with the zv-e10?
Perfect!
Thanks for sharing
Hi, Good Morning Sir, I’m Navaneeth from India. Great fan of your work! ❤️ I have a question sir. I am planning to get ZVE10 and planning to buy one lens. I’m confused between Sigma 16mm f1.4 and 35mm f1.4. I saw the clear image zoom video. I have a question on that. If I zoom the 16mm f1.4 lens with clear zoom @1.5x, i’ll be getting around 24mm. And further zooming with steady shot gives around 50mm right ?But my question is with the bokeh. Will I be getting same amount of bokeh as of the 50mm lens at 1.4 in same settings?
Ok. I bought the ZV-E10 today (really!!) Got a great deal. But….. It only has a 7 day return policy. I need that Hasselblad comparison ASAP please!!
🤣🤣 they said they would send it, but there are supply chain issues and chip shortages
