BF1 was the only battlefield game that they nailed launch. Everything of it is great. But i am itching to get something like bf3 bf4 for the next Battlefield
Battlefield 3 was my first fps and it holds great memories, but battlefield 1 for me was the best, just making you feel like you where on the battlefield with the screaming and shouting youd expect when youre pushing the next capture point, it sort of makes you realise how brutal it must have been to be a part of that war.
The campaign was great to me. I loved all the locations and chartacters introduced. The beginning had me feeling bad thou, like why you gotta show me teh name age and death date of the solider i just died as.
@@deckkid101I think they did it to show how everyone that died in wars were real people with friends and families and a personal life. It is very effective for me at least

I've been playing BF4 nonstop for the last 2 weeks, simply because a post I saw on Instagram that reminded me how good it was and that I hadn't played it in like 6 years. Was pleasantly surprised to see that there was still a decently sized playerbase, and that there were players just starting out in almost every lobby I was in, meaning that it's even still attracting new players. But what you said about the pilots in BF3 absolutely applies to BF4 too. I liked to think I was a good pilot but as soon as I hop in one I just get blasted out of the sky. Looks like the only thing I'm going to be flying now is helicopters
Even though BF4 improved over BF3 in so many ways such as amount of content, graphics, UI, quality of life changes, I still prefer BF3 due to the better map design and (imo) I think the audio in BF3 is way ahead of BF4.
IMO map design is a very underrated aspect of a game. As you play a certain game more and more, graphics & amount of content start to fade into the background, but map design stays at the forefront. I much rather would get used to 30 hz servers again and dated mechanics to play the last title with stellar maps (bf3) than to play bf4 with all of its quality of life improvements. same reason I only play mw2 and black ops 1

My friends and I are still surprised how much fun we have playing V even after 4 years. This is in part due to how 'accessible' different play styles are in this game compared to other Battlefields. What I mean by that is, V is the only Battlefield game that we can all be competent regardless of how we play - hanging back and snipering, rushing forward with the front line, being on foot or in a light tank, or heavy tank or fighter plane or bomber, me in a bomber providing close air support while they go in to a capture point on foot or whatever, all us flying in tandem and so on. I would certainly recommend V for those who are new or somewhat new to the series. 4 is our next favorite but there aren't many games anymore. And it's more a sweatfest while V you can honestly just have some goofy fun trying new things. Also, V has the best squad mechanics such as allowing squad members to revive eachother regardless of class, squad points being used to call in artillery, V2s etc. Also the attention to detail in V is brilliant - soldiers running differently when in knee-high water, snow and dirt accumulating on you and your vehicle but then washing off when going into water. You can hear and feel the tanks groan as you try to plough them up a steep incline. The game is a treat.
I remember when BFV came out, and how much I was arguing with people who jumped on the hate bandwagon. The game literally had the smoothest gameplay out of pretty much any shooter with it's movement, and gunplay. The Squad Call Ins were fantastic. The character customization was great. And while it wasn't as immersive as BF1, the destruction is arguably the best in the entire series, and I loved that you could squad revive. It's a shame that so many people didn't play it because they were either historical purists or because they could only enjoy a game if they were playing the same battles reiterated in nearly every single war game since Medal of Honor. Sure, the US campaign is fun, and wake island and iwo jima are iconic... but those battles in Greece, France, and across Africa before the US got involved were awesome to experience. Why does everything have to either be the US or Russia's experience for people to pay attention or enjoy it? Why is the game shit just because we don't have Stalingrad or Kursk, the same battles recreated in nearly every COD and Medal of Honor, etc.
I went through a phase of BFV at the start of the year. Now I am replaying BF1 and surprised it is still alive and servers are running. By far the most immersive and detailed BF game
Battlefield 3 is easily Top 5 games I've ever played in my life. Could be some nostalgia bias When i see old clips of it. But so many memories, such an immersive feeling, superb, brutal, Dark & gritty storymode and an Experience i seek through every BF game But can't. Maybe it's because i'm getting older and do not appreciate it as much anymore. But still, Battlefield 3 Will Forever be the best BF game
Hardline was really underrated , playing conquest where the flags were actually cars was such an amazing idea for a High-speed octane filled action packed matches + the gunplay was really good . People were just close minded with the idea of cops and robbers instead of millitary . I don't care what y'all think , Hardline was awesome , not perfect , but awesome
It was top 3 battlefields for me and I really preferred the cash system instead of grinding the weapons for attachments but maybe thats my cod bo1 bias. The mp did go dowhill a little after the first few weeks because everyone ended up unlocking the trunk rpgs while they were really rare at launch.
Can say that even in OCE, BF4, BF1 and BF5 are still populated on Playstation here. Only 1 server on BF4 and 1, but up to 3 most days on BF5. Similar on PC, 3 on BF4, 2 BF1 and 1 BF5. For a small and dead region, pretty good amount of players active every day.

@andress8384 In America yes, not in Australia. I sometimes play the American server but 250 ping is annoying. Got a couple clips on those servers in my recent video
After putting - quite frankly - too many hours into 2042 I still can’t recommend it to people, it’s borderline on the cheapest sale. All of the others are rightly worth giving a shot on PC, couldn’t agree more!
2042 is much better now than it was at launch but that’s literally not saying much at all lol. I’ve been putting some hours in lately to scratch that battlefield itch, but I still wouldn’t recommend it. BF1 is king for me.
BF4 definitely. BF3 is relying on a web browser that could crash at any moment to work. BF4 is a modern BF game and remasters some BF3 maps. If you get BF4 on PC it gives you premium edition (which comes with the previously mentioned maps and all DLC). Overall BF4 is a good starting game (was my first bf game)
bf1 was mt favorite of all time I just love that era and how the battles felt like a movie scene was such a shame there was never enough people on operations
Battlefield 5 is very active on Ps4 on its main two modes. Any other mode is practically dead unless it makes it on trending. I recommend it still as it’s very fun! Tip, use the sever list as sometimes quick play connects you to empty servers
i personally enjoy bf2042, not because i focus on it in comparison to other games but because its just a chill game where you choose the way you want to play, of course it’ll never touch battlefield 3, 4, ESPECIALLY in flying mechanics (for me) but it isn’t meant to be compared to others, it’s its own game and as a stand alone shooter, it’s a lot more fun than games like cod and xdefiant (for me)
Your entire monologue during the BF1 section is absolutely SPOT ON. I agree with every single word of it. It's one of the most immersive video games I've ever played, PERIOD, all genres included. It's actually insane to me that Battlefield 1, a frantic, multiplayer shooter, manages to be more immersive and atmospheric than so many SINGLE PLAYER games. PVP games by their nature tend to be more "gamey" than SP ones, and yet every BF1 match (as long as it's hacker-free...) has moments that feel like a movie or a scripted single player set piece. The word 'masterpiece' gets thrown around a lot, but this game truly is a fucking masterpiece, and I could gush about it and listen to others like you gush about it all day long. I'm truly a full-on, shameless fanboy for that game and I couldn't have summed it up better than you did here ❤. I played the hell out of BF5, but it never even came close to capturing that cinematic atmosphere for me. Everything about it except for the squad mechanics, the weapon variety and the gunplay/movement (which are all very important, don't get me wrong) was a downgrade from BF1. Sound effects, visuals, and maps were a downgrade (no SOVIET UNION? No Italians? Hello? Is this thing on?). It had worse performance, no behemoths, minimal emplacements, and an inferior operations game mode. And like, how? How the hell was BF5 not just BF1 with a WW2 reskin? It's like DICE shed all of talent that worked on BF1 in the two years between 2016 and 2018. Rant over. I didn't know that BF5 got EA's anti-cheat! That's amazing news. I hope they add it to BF1 because it was riddled with hackers last time I played, which is a huge shame. Lastly, I will say that 2042 is pretty fun these days. I didn't touch it at launch and played it for the first time about a year ago when it was on sale for like $15 or something, and I thought it was a pretty fun mindless Battlefield experience. But of course, it has no identity and nowhere near the atmosphere and vibes of BF1 or even BF5. Now that BF5 has anti-cheat, I might try to go back to it over 2042 the next time I get the itch. Great video!
The game is still meh at best and definetly not worth the full price tag. Its fun from time to time but there are 1000x better fps games out there to play, even in the same series.
@@ridero4812 thousands is a stretch. The second you stop comparing bf2042 with it’s predecessors is the second you’ll actually enjoy the experience. Every new release has been a miss no matter the devs let’s not tiptoe around that.
Im so happy to have witnessed every single one of these games at their peak, up until BF5 that is. BF4 is my absolute favorite though, nothing will ever be quite like it again
if hardline did a remaster so many people would play it. THe game mechanics and the whole cops vs robbers was fantastic. Its sad theres no servers anymore I played that game a ton on 360 and one. The campaign was nuts! The guns were well rounded as well. HAving a shootout from rooftop to rooftop was insane,
As someone who has never played battlefield before, i got BF1, BF4 and BF2042 all on sale and gave them all a try to make a comparison. BF4: Pretty decent and solid gameplay, graphics aren't too bad considering the time the game came out, I think it holds up fairly well. Multiplayer in my opinion can be a bit hard to get used to considering that a lot of players are old players and tend to know the game like the back of their hand, so to get yourself accustomed to it can be a bit rough starting off, but it's fun once you do. BF2042: I sadly couldn't recommend this one. The gameplay can be fun at times, but I don't feel the sense of immersion or focus into this game that I have for other FPS games. The UI is something I had a sweet spot for, I loved the futuristic design and aesthetic the game had, but that's as far as I can really go in terms of what I liked about the game. It's an ok game for a huge discount but even then, I got Titanfall 2 for like $2.99 and it is 10x better of a FPS game in my opinion. For the price BF2042 was on discount tho, it's at least worth trying out. BF1: Oddly and weirdly enough, this was the battlefield game that I bought out of the three that I thought I was going to enjoy the least, but as it turns out I love old style World War games, especially shooters. The atmosphere, the graphics, the immersion, Campaign opening, all of it was a spectacular experience for my first time playing this, and would highly recommend this game, even at full price, but getting this on a discount is a MUST, and well worth it. This ended up being my favorite out of the three. I have not had the chance of trying out Hardline or BFV, I don't think I will be interested in hardline, but I will definitely give Battlefield V a try when I get the chance. overall: BF4: 7/10 BF2042: 5/10 BF1: 9.5/10 BF Hardline: N/A BFV: N/A
Played 2042 for the first time and I can honestly say the sensitivity probably the best I've ever experienced... No call of duty game came close to how great the aiming is. Call of duty and many other shooting games got like this marble rolling look around feature while battlefield always been spot on. I'm going to play battlefield 4 again tomorrow
Bf3 was just the best. The first beta i ever played of a game and was stunned by how good it looked. I was only 12 and sucked at the game lol but when i got the game, i met so many people i could play with and i just never wanted to put it down. I just think something about the era of bf3 and Cod blackops 2 was special and it was much easier to make friends with people and just have actual fun. Really really miss those days alot. Honestly both those games felt the best to play too, like i became pretty good at them even as a young teen that didnt spend much time with fps games before. Now i feel like i cant get good at any of the newer cod and battlefield games, it just doesnt feel the same. Ill never be able to make new memories that match the memories I made in those days.
I still love playing BF4, but there are so many servers that spoof their player numbers. It's so annoying to find servers where there's actually people playing 😢
Battlefield 4 and 5 are the ones I find myself coming back to the most. I think it's the maps and the guns! The other BF games (even BF1) just don't satisfy me like BF4, BFV, and my lost favorite.. Battlefield 1943! I think Battlefield 5 is a lot better than it was at launch, as I didn't enjoy the game at launch.
I would love to play BF3 properly again, but in reality I can't. 370 ping to EU which are the only servers on the game that are active most of the time, I've tried playing recently, the ping not being my biggest issue but because of my high ping I get kicked by admins or admins have auto kick high pings. Kinda annoying, I just wanna play the game again, but I spose it's my fault for being across the other side of the world lmao.
@@Punggles Yeah PB can be a pain, had that issue when I re installed a few weeks back. I installed a new version of PB and it fixed that issue, I think the version that installs with BF3 is outdated, DICE never updated it themselves so we have to do it aha.
Very sad to hear that. From the ping, I'm guessing you're come from Asia or South America. If you want to experience BF3 again, I highly recommend Venice Unleashed as an alternative. You can host your own local server and play with bots which is better than nothing. The set up might take a bit of time but it's really worth it. It's really sad that BF3 on pc is dead
@@argentbrav0 Yeah I've played a bit of VU recently with bots, it's cool for half hour then gets old cause the bots are just bots lol. I'm from Australia btw.
Hardline was terribly underrated and I wish it had picked up much more than how it turned out. Could’ve been the best but I feel like most people looked at hardline as a sort of “filler”
Great stuff! By far My fav is BF1, then BFV and 4, then BF3. It crazy what has happened to the battlefield franchise and how disappointed I was when I got BF2042 🤦 Because of that debacle, I will never ever pre order a game again! Sometimes when I see gameplay of it and then play BF1 I just shake my head and say WTF happened lol!
Still don't get the hate on BF 2042.. I've been playing BF games since Bad company 2... Yes bf 2042 wasn't the best on release... But it's completely "fine" now.... It's fun........ And it's good...... Not the best but it's good.
Exactly, people just jump on the Hate bandwagon like sheep. Its not cool to stand up and say actually 2042 is highly underrated.! Ive played every BF since 1942 yeah theyessed up big time but that was all down to EA forcing Dice to change the BF formula and introduce specialist and try to cash in on the BR, Extraction Meta of that time then at the last minute before release reverse that decision and fully try rework it into a more traditional BF game then they forced Dice into releasing it unfinished fot finacial reasons and to not upset EA shareholders etc i feel bad for the devs, if 2042 were to be released now in its current state without the BF name it would smash it! Yeah it still has faults and yeah it has specialist but if you can put that to one side the gun play is good, the movement is fast and fluid and its alot of fun, jump on with a load of friends squad up and give it a chance
Came back to BF4 bc my friends got it recently, for a 10 y/o game it's still as impressive as it was and enjoyable. Sad to see Asia servers dead bc of DDos :(
Tried Blops 6 after 5 years away from from online shooters. That gave me a craving for a Battlefield game, so I downloaded 2042. Last 15 minutes before the lag (on 97mb wifi!) and awful maps pushed me to uninstall. Downloading 4, based on this.
I played 2042 a lot in the last few weeks. Loved it, unlocked almost everything and now I’m uninstalling and going back to V. There’s just something missing from 2042
if 3 had more players it would be my top recommendation. i bought 4 a week ago and having a blast sometimes literally. the player base is both fun and competitive some offer help to us noobs of the PC world. if 4 is not your style I have to go with 1 it's just so good. 5 I didn't really enjoy but don't take my word and 2042 ..... really should have called it a battlefield identity crisis. i might give it another shot in the future but from where I stand it sucks and ll over the place
Funny enough i downloaded most of these a couple of months ago, cycled through them on my play sessions and the one i end up playing is always 2042 👀. Its the most fun i think, but of them all BF5 is possibly the objective recommendation i would make

i personally enjoy bf2042, not because i focus on it in comparison to other games but because its just a chill game where you choose the way you want to play, of course it’ll never touch battlefield 3, 4, ESPECIALLY in flying mechanics (for me) but it isn’t meant to be compared to others, it’s its own game and as a stand alone shooter, it’s a lot more fun than games like cod and xdefiant (for me)
RIGHT!!
My Condolences.
@@Rizz_guy As a bf1 fan, I really like 2042
BF1 is the best... Lots of players, many active servers.... It's just the goat.
2042 is actually really improved in my opinion
@@XotiicGTX more like your attention span is too little
Can’t believe I missed your comment until now! I’m glad you enjoyed it, Battlefield 1… we will never see it’s like again 😢
Battlefield 1 was the pinnacle of FPS games and future generations should aspire to beat it.
Bf1 WW2 skin is all I want
2042 is an excellent state now. Most people whine about the launch and never gave it a second try. Game is very fun and cohesive now.
You can't even spawn without dying
@@Ben-e7p2n spawn somewhere that isn’t on your team that’s in combat
The game is still meh at best and definetly not worth the full price tag. Its fun from time to time but there are 1000x better fps games out there to play, even in the same series.
@@ridero4812 thousands is a stretch. The second you stop comparing bf2042 with it’s predecessors is the second you’ll actually enjoy the experience. Every new release has been a miss no matter the devs let’s not tiptoe around that.
@@ridero4812 can you recommend any?
I just got bf1 for less than 2 dollars since I'm interested in ww1 and looks pretty nice
recently downloaded BF1 again for the multiplayer. i am unable to spot any enemies and die instantly but damn is the world amazing to look at
Im so happy to have witnessed every single one of these games at their peak, up until BF5 that is. BF4 is my absolute favorite though, nothing will ever be quite like it again
So what you are saying is... I should go play more Stellar Blade? Got it.
That's what I took from this
if hardline did a remaster so many people would play it. THe game mechanics and the whole cops vs robbers was fantastic. Its sad theres no servers anymore I played that game a ton on 360 and one. The campaign was nuts! The guns were well rounded as well. HAving a shootout from rooftop to rooftop was insane,
I really wish they’d remaster Bad Company 2 or BF3. They still wipe basically the whole current multiplayer landscape
I have not had the chance of trying out Hardline or BFV, I don't think I will be interested in hardline, but I will definitely give Battlefield V a try when I get the chance.
overall:
BF4: 7/10
BF2042: 5/10
BF1: 9.5/10
BF Hardline: N/A
BFV: N/A
the days of battlefields and CODs are almost over , Embrace MILSIM
Played 2042 for the first time and I can honestly say the sensitivity probably the best I've ever experienced... No call of duty game came close to how great the aiming is. Call of duty and many other shooting games got like this marble rolling look around feature while battlefield always been spot on. I'm going to play battlefield 4 again tomorrow
short answer:
Modern shooter? BF4
Griddy immersive yet fun and engaging? BF1
I really enjoy 2042, it's included in gamepass ultimate and I find myself going back to it all the time
Bf4 is the greatest multiplayer shooter ever made imo.
i recently got battlefield 2042 just cuz it was -92% and wanted to take a little break from battlefield V and play some modern shooter
BF1 and BFV is very active on console
Ps5 too?

On Xbox and currently installing BF4, BF1 and BFV. Excited to see which ones hold up
In the Oceanic region we can't find games most of the time on 4 or 1. But there's always at least 1 good game going for V. Hope you have fun.
It's dead on xbox man, i regret selling my ps4 just for bf4.
Recently played BF3. Absolutely play this in 2024. Holds up really well!

I’m sorry to hear that as it’s such an amazing title. I’m currently running into Punkbuster issues myself when I play recently
@@Punggles Yeah PB can be a pain, had that issue when I re installed a few weeks back. I installed a new version of PB and it fixed that issue, I think the version that installs with BF3 is outdated, DICE never updated it themselves so we have to do it aha.
@@Nitroh- I’ll try that! Appreciate the tip
My all time favorite was the DICE add on “Desert Combat” for BF1942. So fun!!!
I like how 2042 support dropped as soon as the game got good. Classic EA move.
Hardline was terribly underrated and I wish it had picked up much more than how it turned out. Could’ve been the best but I feel like most people looked at hardline as a sort of “filler”
Battlefield 4 and Battlefield V are my favorites
I just bought bf1 for only $3 on steam, even though bf 2042 is only $4, I want to reminisce about the old days
how has it been so far, wantin to do the exact same

BF1 is the one to play now next year and the year after that
Im still playing Bfbc2 online
On my ps I have both bf1 and bf5 downloaded as I like switching between them. I wish bf4 was populated on ps
4 and V are my go to
Great choices 👍
Not 1?
Hardline was my favorite during the time I played it on console, shame there’s no servers on pc
BF3 was perfection for me
I like BF2042. I play and like it for what it is not for how it was at release.
Then you are part of the problem
At this point, the only way I'll play BF2042 is if they reimburse me what I paid for it, and then paid me a yearly salary to play it.
I’m the exact same. The downgrade from BF1 is still unreal to me
No one cares
For me
Battlefield bad company 2(starting missions)
Battlefield V
Battlefield 3(ending missions)
Battlefield 4
2042
Bf3 are the best of them all
Battlefield 1 is amazing. From visuals, destruction, sound, and gameplay, it feels like an amazing movie.
Thanks for this, and still hard for me to decide which one that I'm going to purchase, BF1 or V. 😢

I wish BF3 was revived. That was my favorite one with BF1 coming in a close second. Honorable mention to BF4 after they fixed everything
I just love the 2042 BF. I enjoy playing it.
@@Bear-foot1 exactly my point
Came back to BF4 bc my friends got it recently, for a 10 y/o game it's still as impressive as it was and enjoyable. Sad to see Asia servers dead bc of DDos :(
Bfbc2, bf3, bf1 and bf5.
Tried Blops 6 after 5 years away from from online shooters. That gave me a craving for a Battlefield game, so I downloaded 2042.

Battlefield V
Dreaming me back 2 bf1942 and DC days!
Battlefield Vietnam, duh
BF BC2 Vietnam DLC was the greatest dlc ever, a complete new game...
Hardline is interesting, because I don't want to say it was amazing, but it did just FEEL good to play. Unfortunate that it died so quickly
Bf1,bf3, and bf4 are what I play still from the series. I replayed the bad company 1 & 2 campaigns as well.
Hardline has a great CAMPaign, the weapons are fun but i never got into the multiplayer. I hope BF4 lives forever
I remeber the dat bf 1 dropped. i had a lan party with 2 friends. We were stunned with how cinematic that game was.
Funny enough i downloaded most of these a couple of months ago, cycled through them on my play sessions and the one i end up playing is always 2042 👀. Its the most fun i think, but of them all BF5 is possibly the objective recommendation i would make
Hardline was the only battlefield i played. it was rlly good.
Battlefield 4 is my favorite and it's been like that since day 1 when people actually hated the game because of latency issues but BF Hardline is the only battlefield I have ever max ranked in.
Battlefield went downhill after Hardline ( trying to be like COD) and then MW2019 came with that 🔥💯
The real question is how do we get the EA app for PC to launch and play the games with no issues.
Whichever one you want to play… server browser exists so player count isn’t a big deal you’ll be able to find a match whenever you want
