You’re not alone. I need to know how the story ends.
Yeah I liked ghosts
I liked it
The game was fine. The writing, characters, and background was not.
Camping with a thermal scope was so common in ghosts that even the bots would do it in an offline match
Yes.If you didnt do it as well, you would die.It was a kill or be killed situation
Ikr? 😂
It was pretty fucking annoying. But I didn't mind it.
"camping": slang term created by idiots and sore losers who run full speed into ambushes (legitimate strategy literally everywhere else that isn't a 12 year old COD lobby)
@@ethanwilliams4559 it depends. some people camp even when they should be defending or attacking an objective. Happens a lot in games, battlefield is far worse than CoD for camping for literally no reason. People on that game will just sit and wait until they get a vehicle unwilling to do anything else. In cod if you're camping near an objective that's fine, but if you're camping halfway across the map in a corner it's annoying, and they can't even argue it's a good strategy they're not even defending the objective.
@@rockbandandghmaster there are a few instances sure where it's no good like that or... ugh... spawn camping, but what you mentioned is normal for all games but what I mentioned is the fact that COD players abuse the term for anyone and everyone who does something other than the Leroy Jenkins play style that COD panders to, and gets people kicked for it.
I think that "Ghosts" was the last CoD where you actually got a lot a real full campaign experience. A lot of gameplay and not just cutscenes like these days. The story is a bit lame but the game is actually pretty good, and the graphics are not bad at all. MW3 was also somewhat mediocre but such a packed singleplayer-mode is awesome. Sadly these days the CoD games are MP and the campaign itself is the "movie" so that we get a backstory to why we're playing.
@Romanian Lobster Gaming 🇷🇴 gimme both MWs over this trash any day
@Romanian Lobster Gaming 🇷🇴 they are definitely not perfect but far from a disaster ghost was
Cold war was amazing tho
Mw19 and especially mw2 had stellar campaigns. Mw2 campaign to many is the best part about it
@@Kajetanpsikuta stop lying to yourself
Honestly, compared to some of the newer cods (Vanguard, WW2), this doesn't seem bad, honestly.
I thought you said mw2 💀
Its a bad campaign cause they tried going on a franchise of ghost 1, 2, 3 if the didn't try playing those cards it would have been 7/10
That’s not really saying much buddy
Ww2 owns this garbage cod especially campaign and zombies
eh, at least the campaign of ww2 is good
Worst part of Call of Duty Ghosts:
It's not an origin story for Ghost.
Yea
Yup that's the only reason I dislike CoD Ghost.
I will never dislike it in the first place if it had a different name.
Dereenaldo Ambun they should call it
Call Of Duty: DOG MODEL
they have a comic book series that shows ghosts backstory
That would be better
Everyone shitted on this game so hard we got 3 fucking futuristic ones in a row

@@michaelwright6795 now we are getting more WW games over and over and im starting to return to scifi ones.

@@CharlesVDoktaur depends on what your talking about in bo3 when you talk to the cod community. most think its the best zombies yet. but the campaign falls flat or mp is meh i personally like bo3 campaign do be a clusterfuck though.
You can always tell when a game is fucked over by corporate meddling. Because the music, the art, the landscapes, everything is beautiful, but the story is middling at best and appalling at worst. The artists who work on these games put their heart and passion into them, laboring for many hundreds or thousands of hours to make everything pristine and stunning, only for their corporate overlords to take their art and put over a rotting corpse of a story, which must feel like a sledgehammer to the chest.
Well a) it's not the businesspeople who write the story it's the writer and b) the artists probably don't play the game themselves, they just submit work and collect a fat paycheck. As long as they get paid, I doubt they're unsatisfied. Most are probably even unaware what the story is and don't care.
The game is fucked over by misreading the criticisms toward its predecessors and I can't blame the company due to the sheer volume of unintelligent hate directed towards them/the game. Of course they were going to change things up on reaction, and of course it wasn't going to be what everyone wants - nobody was very forthcoming about what they wanted, but were towards anything they could latch onto for meme-y rage content.
I will never understand why people hated this game, I loved it and it is one of my personal favorites.

- bad maps
- terrible ui
- unusable streaks

Call of Duty ghosts will always have a spot in my heart because me and my dad would always play it together and it was always fun.
yo_itstommy yeah I agree with u. I don’t get the hate unless you're hating the online mode

I spent four years straight playing the game with my friend and we would play every game together it was such a good game imo
holy fuck- same but with my step dad... during the summer of 2014, on the ps3 we had at the time, we used to be up all night playing the game together (along with my uncle too at times). Yeah, it sucked in some ways (especially multiplayer lol), but the memories I have with it make it hold a special place in my heart as well. And to be honest, definitely in my top 5 for the best video games I played ever.

The Clockwork mission could be a stealth mission from start to finish, the idea of disguised as an enemy to sneak into their base is fun and thrilling, but nope their disguises has been found out by the enemies in the end turning it into open fire chaotic hot mess
I mean, it worked for most of the mission, also, we had "The Hunted" which was a FULL STEALTH mission, you even get achievement for not getting spotted ONCE
@@pansebacheckmark yeah, but the plot sets up the Ghosts as a team of elite, stealthy soldiers, although most missions throw this premise under the bus for the sake of turning everything into a big dumb shooting gallery.
With such an intrinsic detail to the protagonist's identities, stealth should be the norm and not the opposite.
@@lucas7061 who would play cod if every mission would be a stealth one? It'd be even more hated than it was already
I would say that the federation stopping you to reveal your masks would’ve been the most logical action for them to do because why would you just let some of your workers leave the facility that just got secretly raided with some important battle info even though they looked like your soldiers meaning there are imposters among them. (no pun intended)
I loved ghosts for 2 reasons and two reasons only
The story, ignoring the stupid logic
And the absolutely beautiful campaign level design
Ghosts happens after Modern Warfare, so my head cannon is that Simon "Ghost" Riley is reincarnated as a dog. Which explains why Riley is such a good dog

The only problem I had with the campaign was the ending of course, Riley getting knocked aside by that soldier that stabbed you, with no effort at all. And Rorke being invincible. But besides that I loved the campaign.
There’s also the magic handgun round that penetrates two people and two rifle rated plates with enough power to break a window.
this game has a place deep in my soul. my dad introduced me to it when i was 7, taught me and my brother, and we played vs bots for 4 years. me and my bro got onto multiplayer and i quickly figured out my playstyle was camping (thank you father, for now i have no movement) and i LOVED sitting in some obscure part of prison break with the ghillie suit (thank you father, for grinding online for 4 years). me and my bro would split screen, where he would go run and i would watch out for him, kill some nerds, direct him where i couldnt shoot, and sometimes he would just stand near me and camp, so they would go for him and let me get kills more easily. he died, i avenged, i died, he avenged. easily had multiple spots to play in in case i died. never stopped being fun getting 25/0 just for sitting in a bush helping out my little brother. one time i got 42 and 3. still have the picture on my dad's phone. love ghosts to death.

@@TheDaidai05 yes it does. It's funny because it actually makes more sense than mw2 and mw3. You see, in mw2 you see Russian army invade the USA through the Atlantic Ocean with millions of soldiers. That's just stupid. Furthermore, Russia invades the USA despite seeing Makarov on the camera. In mw3, Russia invades without any reason all of Europe in less than one day. COD Ghosts was okay, but it was obviously the point when the franchise became stale.
Yes. It didn't introduce anything that amazing, altough it wasn't necessarily bad. Some would argue that Mw3 or Bo2 was the turning point, but those games had an amazing single player and a great third sidemode respectively, along with other goodies. This one however was lacking in a sense.
Trevor Lahey ghosts was ok for me, but I agree it felt stale
@@cornerianbird4767 I remember Mw3 was when people started to get sick of the franchise, because it didn't offer anything new compared to MW2. BO2 delayed the inevitable and was the end of an era in which COD was at its A-game. But I'm hoping the MW reboot won't be a dud, and so far I'm pretty optimistic about its chances.

A Call of Duty Ghosts Reboot.
Imagine:
- an actually good story
- mechanics reminiscent of the Modern Warfare 2 remake stealth missions, with the prybars made out of fan blades etc
- ACTIVISION TEAMS UP WITH THE GUYS THAT MADE GHOST RECON / SPLINTER CELL - so we actually get the stealthy geurilla warfare we all thought we were going to get.
- As such, have tie ins with either Ghost Recon or Splinter Cell (even subtly, like Scott Mitchel/ Sam Fisher doing briefings etc)
As a result, this would create a direct link with Call of Duty Ghosts, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow 6 (as R6 ties in with Ghost Recon) and The Division (As it is confirmed R6 and T.D are set in the same universe)
- ACTUALLY USE MW GHOST, TYING IN WITH MW.
This would create a point of convergence, between Call of Duty and the Clancyverse, also meaning characters could be shared between games. Keegan could be an R6 operator. Nokk or Jaeger appearing in Modern Warfare. Kozak appearing in the next Division. Price being mentioned in a Splinter Cell (as if they're ever making one of those again)
This is never gonna happen, but imagine if it did. A Ghost Recon Future Soldier style (in gameplay) COD Ghosts Reboot that ties in (if not in a "My aunt's married cousin's husband's son's daughter twice removed" kinda way) with the Clancyverse. Unique and compelling gameplay and story, with many chances for Activision to make a fuck tonne of money to our ENJOYMENT. That would be fucking crazy. Awesome, but crazy.
Clan Wars was the best time I ever spent playing call of duty. The community was weak as hell and still is tbh. Nowadays they're more concerned with movement tech than actually being good at the game.

They could've done so much with Rorke, maybe instead of using Elias' pov, you filled the shoes of Rorke and it would show just what exactly the federation did to him to brainwash the dude to fight for them.
It'd give us insight into the federation and Rorke, and show us just what makes them tick
That would've been badass
My own plot ideas:
Rorke tells his own story during the interrogation, you play as Rorke and the mission ends with you being rescued by Federation soldiers.
Logan really should have been s chatacter that talks and the last mission should've been through Hesh's pov.
And finally I think there should have been more missions where you play as random guys, kinda like BO2 special ops
I think my favorite thing about ghosts is that underberral shotgun/launchers replaced your lethal so you could just press r2 instead shaping to it from left direction
Fun fact: at the very end of the campaign, there is a short cut-scene that shows Logan in a pit. That pit is located in the jungle and what the cut-scene means is that Logan is being brainwashed, by having him alone in pit in the jungle. Look up it up

One of my favourite things to do was stand in front of the elevator and wait for a bot to go up. Upon the elevator door opening I would gun him dead. When I returned my copy to GameStop a week after release, they had just one question.
"What took you so long?"
I played the crap out of ghosts when it came out. The story was about a legendary group of soldiers with new blood coming in and one was "left behind" in the past causing him set out for revenge so the plot made sense enough.
I think extinction was a net win, infinity ward kind of has a track record of a linear decline of "good" DLC's throughout a cod game (advanced and infinite warfare) but PoC, nightfall, and mayday were really fun maps imo. Adding the teeth system and seeing dual class and a panacea ammo type made me want to grind the mode.
Multiplayer was for sure the weakest part for me. The guns felt good and I believe it started the trend of not having blacked out sniper scopes but it had some amazing killstreaks. The maniac juggernaut was always on my loadout and The reskin to Michael Myers on the cabin map made playing Mike Myers all the better. The LOKI satellite is also my favorite max killstreak in any cod it was unique and i never took it off.
Ghosts multiplayer really failed in the map department however. There were some maps that I didn't mind like fog or prison break, but generally there were only maps that I either didn't mind or didn't like.
Stonehaven is a different case. Stone haven is an affront to god and I blame most of the problems in the world on the creation of that map.

One boss fight doesn’t make the game mode good. It was okay to play the first time but then it got old really fast.

I loved ghosts. Particularly the multiplayer. It felt different from other cods.
Likewise i think stonehaven was a great cod map.
Some people want an arcade feel, some people want something between cod and battlefield.
man.... we shat on this game back in the day.... oh the days
Protagonist: *Gets shot in cutscene 300 times*
Also Protagonist: T'is but a scratch!
Antagonist: A scratch?!
Nope protagonists in cod games: what is a scratch?
@Daniel Wong Shooting body armor injures the person wearing it, but it doesnt kill them.
The protagonist is moving freely without injury or blood loss which is impossible.
It's the opposite of that meme
A scratch!?Your chest is nothing but lead!
For anyone who's wondering why Ghosts suddenly looks a lot more appealing nowadays, it's because at the time of Ghosts' release, this wasn't the stellar CoD that the first couple of Black Ops installments and Modern Warfare trilogy were. It failed to live up to those CoDs, which tend to commonly be seen as the golden years of Call of Duty.
The reason Ghosts looks so appealing now, is because since 2013 came along, we've had nearly a decade's worth of worse Call of Duty games than Ghosts.
Exactly it’s all about perspective at the time we just came from goated ass cod games now shit after shit after shit
Nah man ghost was always goated xd people just hated on it cause it wasnt a mw4 or bo3 xd
I actually hated the entire blops series and thought Ghosts was WAY better. That campaign was ass though on Ghosts. Lol
I like Ghosts a lot, especially the Ranked Wars system. After Ghosts it wasn’t until 2019 with Modern Warfare that I enjoyed a COD game… I bought every call of duty since call of duty big red one, and it only got bad to me after Ghosts it deserves respect
I think this is applying to hundreds of games from past gens, you never appreciate something until it’s gone...
I personally enjoyed the game a lot. And my brother did too. My favorites ever I think it’s the OG modern warfare and Black Ops 1. Also new Modern warfare when warzone launched. But ghosts has a place in my heart due to many factors. It was different. People always ask for change and when they get it they cry about it. I don’t understand that.
After watching your video, i believe you bring up some valid points about the storytelling. I actually grew up with COD Ghosts as it was my first cod game. The game is my favorite in the franchise of cod and holds a special place in my heart. I enjoyed your video, and i respect your opinion of the game. Even if it differs to mine. I really like ghosts and i respect your review, even if you dont like it as much as I did. Your vids are cool Act Man :)
As someone who didn't have internet access, Ghost was one of my favorites.
It's like the only one you could play tdm, s&d, domination, etc against a full team of bots.
survival mode with the ai was my favorite
Black ops 2 did that and had sit screen. Survival mode was great.
I always think I'm a pro beating those bots lol

My friend and I just recently got back into COD, and were talking about the older games, he brought up Ghosts and how much he enjoyed it. I literally was like “I do not remember anything about Ghosts other than it was the reason I stopped playing COD”
cod ghost was super fun for the month i played the multiplayer on pc, i bought the game months after release and had to upgrade my pc from 4gb to 8gb just to get it playable for multiplayer. since it was one of the first games to require more than 4gbs of ram with it being an odd 6gb.
The last cod before i played ghost was mw3 so the leap in advancement in the create a class was amazing. I ran knife only super fast ninja builds with my favorite killstreak being the running maniac. The only change i didnt like was the melee animation was a real animation sometimes and not just a swipe to kill people so it was harder to chain knife kills but was still super fun with the perk that gives you a UAV blip every time you kill someone so you could always find another person after your first kill.
The campaign was better than mw3's, wwII, BO2, BO3, and cold war's. And the game had the best Intro
I wanted to slap the guy complaining about the writing on the water cooler, you can tell he was on the hate bandwagon and was looking for reasons to validate his opinion

It's good but it got the hate because the maps suck ass
The multiplayer wasn’t my favorite, but I *think* it introduced my favorite game mode, infected.
I loved the Campaign, in fact I finished it in 8 hours
Extinction or whatever that alien game mode was, was a nice different take on zombies, and I thought it was okay.
i liked it

lol I loved campimg in that game. genuinely loved that game as camping was better than running around with smg
there were tow things that I loved about Ghost, infected mode (not extinction) and the honey badger (one of the best COD smgs)
"The Federation United all of South America under one banner" That's already unbelievable because no way in he'll would Argentinians and Brazilians ever work together no matter how much was at stake
That's 100% true lmao.
fuck argentina
I bet the Federation would fall apart in a matter of time. I’m not too familiar with South American politics but I’m pretty sure most countries there have little in common with each other in most cases.
@@jdawg8487 they actually have more in common than actual differences.
@@jdawg8487 from what i've heard, many south american countries hate america
i'm not saying that the people there hate america, i'm saying all their governments hate america. and i heard this theory that ghosts actually takes place after the evil ending of black ops cold war, where nukes go off and america is suspected to be the culprit, and that really makes sense. the federation silently forms in the 1980s after the nukes, attacks central america (then elias' story takes place with america backing its central american allies), and then finally attacks america in 2013
For April fools they should of made a remastered ghost trailer and see how people would react
Zero Power On God Bruh!😂😂🤣😭
That would be nice
BO4 remaster would be funnier
I'd honestly be fine, even if Ghosts got a bit annoying.
XD
Black Ops 2 is one of the best COD games in the series. I didn’t know it had mixed reception.
Imagine if the released date of black ops 2 and ghost were flipped
That would just hurt the game more since it would literally come after MW3, meaning people would just expect for any COD after Ghosts to have the same atmosphere since MW3 didn't differ enough to MW2 to have it's own unique identity, so having Ghosts come after that game would just make the "COD is just copy & pasting their games now, they're all the same thing" argument more valid.
@@Two_kay44 well i loved mw 3 so,fuck everyone :D
@@winstonchurchill7822 same
Ghost Yeah MW3 was great. I don’t understand why people always bitch about how “it didn’t differ enough” bullshit! It differed in some great ways, there was like 3 times the kill streaks, many new weapons, perks, a greatly expanded spec ops missions system. More DLCs than MW2 to keep the game fresh after release. Fun new multiplayer game modes, and the ending to the Modern Warfare 3 Campaign was great. I just don’t get why people hate MW3, fuck those people.
I mean I’m sure people would hate on it like crazy at first, then get praised as the dlc drops
I like extinction mode, I just wish they gave all the maps instead of buying them all as DLC and getting story from it.
Extinction was so dope.

Extinction was great, me and my little brother got so good at it as we were able to complete point of contact with handguns only.
Extinction is my favorite part

I remember playing it with my brother. I don't consider it bad but that's maybe because I was too young to deduce the multiplayer was bad. Although, the Campaign was one of the best in all the franchise, in my opinion. Like if you're still waiting to see what happened to Logan lol.
Everybody will hate me but cod ghost was really fun to me
don't be it's your opinion and it's normal to have different opinions (unless if you're in a dictatorship of course)
I agree it was one of the best cods for me? other than infinite warfare ive enjoyed ever single infinity ward cod!
tbh i played ghost for 1 year on xbox 360 vs mw3/mw2/bo1 for half that.

Possible hot take. Ghosts is better then Vanguard because Ghosts actually tried and had some original ideas, say what you will but a ton of effort went into this game. It may have been misplaced or missed the mark in some areas, but there is clear love and attention to detail.
