I do disagree with a lot of trans people in the idea of not telling their potential partners about their previous identity and some other things ,I have noticed that a lot of ppl do act like it's a crime to talk to or about a trans person .
Soooo I’m a cis female dating a trans girl who came out and started transition after we started dating. We’ve been together 2 and a half years, I just want every trans person to know there is hope of finding happiness and someone who will accept you for who you are!!
QvQ this makes me happy I am a trans girl who hasn't had opportunities to really start transitioning cause I'm to young to start on anything other then just make up, hair and clothing And I worry about relationships and stuff I need someone who dose genuinely like me as a girl and I worry sometimes if the people I do date end up seeing me as a dude and stuff :( I just really need someone in my life who I can be sure loves me as much as I love them and thinks of me genuinely as a girl
Will never happen no straight man will be attracted to you unless they have some fetish. In which case they will do it with you to get the kink out of your system but won’t commit to you because you are a man and always will be. You can’t have kids and have a penis. He won’t want to bring you home to mom that’s for sure
@@Richie_Alpha_Rabbit69 Maybe you won't and maybe a lot of guys like you But truth is I wouldn't date an ass whole like you in the first place And there are plenty of men out there who aren't terrible And besides I know personally I'm more into women anyway Also FYI We trans girls actually can have vaginas So Just saying And there are plenty of cis girls who can't get pregnant So
@@karilemon7570 Am I terrible for speaking truth? You have the talking points down but deep down you know that a straight man wants a woman and not someone who believes they feel like one. What if you always get looked at as a man in woman’s clothes? Can you control how other people see you? If me a 6 foot two 250 pound man decides to become a woman do I get to tell men they are terrible for not seeing me as a woman? Even if I get the fake slash drilled in my pelvis it’s not real it’s crazy to think that a man with that surgery is the same as a real woman who cannot conceive a child due to some medical problem. It’s fantasy and you need to understand gay men don’t want this and lesbians don’t want it either for the most part. I hope you work through this and have a happy life I know I was able to get through my perversions and be happy with who I am as a man. I can finally have peace thanks to Jesus Christ and he can save anyone.
I’m guessing the trans people on that show don’t necessarily consider themselves men, but were told by the show’s producers to say they did. More likely to elicit conflict that way.
I think at some point you get used to hearing these things unfortunately, on the inside we're always seething but it's just accepted that life's like that for us

yes I was on Springer, they paid for my trip to Chicago paid for hotel and food and then told use what to say and what to do on the show. I wasnt allowed to hit people since I was over 18 and the other guy wasn't. My part of the show was overly exaggerated but the story was mostly true. We filmed the show for hours but was edited down to an hour episode with commercials and other things cutting in was probably 30-45 minutes
@@skinflutey I was on because I helped a girl I knew move out of her boyfriends house, his family didn't like her and called the show and made me out to be the other guy but my part was exaggerated
Samantha YOU’RE RIGHT!! It is fake/scripted. A friend of mine was on Jerry Springer for a “ love triangle “ he wasn’t even dating either of them. Show set it all up.
The acting is scripted the stories are real your friend was not on the show clearly I also know people that were on there the situations are definitely real
The situation’s are real. At least some of them are. my cousin has a friend who was on it. From what he told my cousin what they do is they go into the dressing rooms and hype each side up like “oh my god can you believe/did you hear what that bitch said?” Then they send them out and have them go at it.

@@ShearF3ar I'm a woman... all I'm saying is I don't agree with using the buzzword "toxic masculinity" to describe something that people from all walks of life and backgrounds are guilty of. For example you assuming my gender based on nothing other than a viewpoint is a trait of toxic masculinity, however you may be a woman or non-binary so toxic masculinity doesn't seem appropriate.
@@ymarascough1765 heya ymar, I just read your comments and was thinking maybe you're a bit confused on the term toxic masculinity. When people say this, they are not saying masculinity is bad or toxic. Toxic masculinity is a description of societies pressures on men to be masculine, to not cry, to be the breadwinner, to do the hard work, to have lots of sex and to not show emotion. Its a toxic mindset that men and boys are indoctrinated into. Toxic feminity exists too!! I can explain more if you want. The og commenter was trying to say that toxic masculinity is very present in this video.
@@ymarascough1765 lols #NotAllMen right? SMH In seriousness im assuming you didn't mean to be dismissive and simply aren't aware of the context. So its all good. Ill explain: Samantha was pointing out that a transwoman saying something like, "you didn't complain when we were hooking up." Can get you killed by the man you say it to. The reason for this is because despite what he feels inside, he becomes a target for ridicule by toxic parts of society when they perceive him as gay (and thus not manly. which like, realy!? Nuthin more manly than two dudes goin at it in a barn, just sayin.) for being attracted to transwomen. So he lashes out at the woman because he wants to reclaim his "lost manhood." Our toxic cultural idea of masculinity litteraly has a built in claim that its more manly to be violent and beat up or even kill transwomen than it is to accept (unwaranted) ridicule for being attracted to a transwoman. Its just like how women are told not to dress a certain way or they might draw the attention of a rapist. Its putting the responsibility for a man's action onto the woman instead of solving the problem, which is toxic masculinity. The best cure for toxic masculinity is wholesome masculinity. Its not telling women to walk on eggshells because they might inadvertently harm a man's feelings.

i remember seeing an episode from Mauray or the Jerry Springer (i dont remember) where a girl came out as trans and the guy actually said something like "Well I'm willing to try anything once" and they kissed idk i thought that was so sweet how he was open and willing enough to give her a chance and not see her any different ❤️
Tbh, I think Jerry Springer and Maury are pretty much the same concept. Only difference is that Maury tries to find the baby daddy, Jerry wants to “settle” disputes Another show that is similar to Jerry Springer, is the Steve Wilkos Show. Steve was head of security on Jerry Springer so that’s probably why he started his own show lol
when I was a kid I used to tune into Jerry Springer all the time just so that I might see a trans woman on the show. Every time I hoped that the transwoman would be accepted by the guy she had been keeping her transness a secret from and when finally one guy actually was ok with it I was really happy (although it made me sad that the crowd acted like he was nuts for it). It also annoyed the shit out of me that the transwomen usually said: "I'm actually a man" when coming out on the show. I kind of wondered if they were coaxed into saying that by the producers to make it more shocking for the audience. I was actually contacted by the Maury show once a long time ago because they wanted to have me on one of their shows where they have a bunch of cis passable transwomen on but I turned it down (being on a trash show like Maury was not that appealing to me)
@@alyah9098 Shows like Jerry Springer exist so that working-class people can watch poor people make fools of themselves and think "I may not be successful but I'm doing a hell of a lot better than these losers." I always suspected Jerry Springer of being staged, like wrestling. And those trans reveal clips made me cringe even back in the '90s and 2000s. Why did people have to be so backward back then? WHY? We trans women are women, trans men are men, and nonbinary people are nonbinary. We trans girls aren't drag queens. There's no point where the girly stuff comes off and we become men. What you see is what you get. These are my real boobs. These are my real hips. No, you can't touch my boobs, hips, or anything unless I invite you.

You genuanly don't have to be trans to feel bad for trans people. I can't imagine the pain some trans people must have experienced by watching those clips. Seeing people that don't accept you for who YOU are, seeing people who are laughing at you and calling you by the wrong pronouns is just DISGUSTING and so, so painful to watch! I can literaly cry for trans people ANY day... If you're trans and ur reading this, I am so so sorry that there are dumb people out there that want to make you feel terrible or who don't believe in you. Just know that there are a lot of people like me who accept you. You are who you are and God bless you! Stay strong❤
I just want to say that you are valid and I'm sorry you have to go through all that as a trans person, I hope it gets better. You all deserve love and to live the way you are without fear ❤️
I feel empathy for a lot of the trans people around our area. I thought that being a gay guy was difficult, and it is, for many, sadly. But people treat trans people, especially women, like they're sub-human. And no one deserves to be hated, degraded, and disrespected, when they're just being them, and not hurting anyone!
I will add my hat to the ring of trans men, lol, still getting through the video. Also, omg, is it just me, or is there more hateful/rude comments than on some of the other videos of Samantha's? I think it's the topic, cause people are more jumpy about it. Still sad to see though. Nonetheless, happy trans man noises!
Our society has so much to learn. As a fifth grade teacher I will say, many more kids are coming out younger and are more open and accepting. I’m hoping we continue to grow and stop treating trans people like a joke. My students love James Charles ( although I’m not assuming he’s trans- to my knowledge he says he is a gay man) but even the boys think he’s cool and like him. It made me realize times are changing. Also I live in Miami so maybe things are a little more progressive down here than in other parts of the country.
This really does address the fears I have concerning coming out as trans and making that leap. I know that as a trans woman, I'd be putting myself in heightened levels of dangers in the dating atmosphere; men and women alike. Truly frightening.
Hi! Trans guy here. It does actually get easier once you make that leap, at least on your mental health. Passing is 90% confidence, 10% effort. Just try not to draw too much attention to yourself and remember, you don't have to pass 100% and be completely stealth in order to be respected. Just don't go into public restrooms (if you can help it) I use Refuge Restrooms to find gender-neutral restrooms in my area.

Ace Ventura, Friends, Scary Movie, SOTL, The Crying Game, the list goes on and on. I cringe when I think about it. @Username umm I have never heard of a trans woman not disclosing her being trans before being intimate with a person, but I don’t think it’s something you disclose on let’s say a first date because you might not even be intimate with that person and don’t want to disclose your biology on a dinner date It’s also good to mention that it could get trans women killed to disclose that they are trans so they choose to play it safe before getting to know the person and see if it’s safe to tell which I think is totally valid
@chris white Maybe in a perfect world trans girls and women could walk around advertising the are trans, but it is often very dangerous on a first encounter, or in a public situation, many haters out there many on a crusade to shame and hurt trans women and the men who love them, the many murdered women are proof of that. Of course once you get to the point when you both feel comfortable enough (and like all women, trans women need to feel safe enough to trust you are o.k and confide in you) then is the time to disclose, otherwise screw your fragile egos/ feelings, a girl/ woman's safety is more important.

Back then I thought I didn't see anything wrong with trans people but now watching your video I've realized that I also didn't fully understand what being trans was. I thought these things were okay to laugh at because I thought trans women were men who just liked to dress up as women and deceive people and its because my ONLY exposure to the trans community was through shows like Jerry Springer and Maury.
I didn’t understand it because of how I was raised. I didn’t know what to call trans people and even though I tried to be respectful I constantly misgendered because I was too young to understand. Now as I realize I’m a bigender bisexual I finally somewhat get it.
The slang word "thot" is VERY recent and didn't exist in the 90's (trust me, I would know that was my childhood era lol) and "thot" didn't exist in the early 2000's either, and no one was "texting" yet until at least the mid to late 2000's, so this episode was very recent. I guess the show is STILL running...... Wow 😂 news to me.... yea they posted it in 2017. That date was correct. That episode is very recent.
Hey, on the bright side at least they recognize you as trans instead of just assuming you are the gender you were assigned at birth without any hesitation or uncertainty whatsoever. I don't even bother explaining to all the people who do that to me that I'm actually non-binary because then I wouldn't have the time or energy to do anything else. Being "clocked" as trans, even while still being not entirely accurate, is actually a bit of a pleasant occurrence to me on the rare occasions it happens. Stay strong, sister.

Not saying that I've ever had anything against that community, I may have been raised Catholic but my parents always taught me to love others no matter how different they are or seem, to understand and accept anyone who is willing to do the same. It truly hurts me that there are people in this world who have so much doubt and hatred in them, that they'd lash out through physical or verbal violence. You've taught me a lot through your story, and I'm very thankful to have found your channel. And to everyone, and I mean everyone, even though you don't know who I am nor I who you are, I send out my love. Have a wonderful day Samantha Lux and anyone reading this comment.

If there are any positive “reveals” I think that’d be a nice video :) maybe if people want more, you could like alternate between the positive and negative reactions?
There is one that I know of, the video is called something like “I’ll try anything once” :) at least In my opinion it is pretty positive Bc the guy ends up accepting her :)
Positive reveals do exist, but they aren't the content that such shows provide. Reality TV that doesn't specifically cater to an LGBT audience will almost always emphasize cis/heteronormative ideology. Right below you is a person mentioning the one time they (as a kid) saw the guy accept the transwoman...and the Studio Audience literally boo'd/jeered at the guy for doing such. Even when the reveal is positive, it's treated as wrong. Which is homophobic as well as transphobic, because not only does the audience see the transwoman as "actually a man", they also see the homosexual relationship between the two men as something worthy of condemnation.
Likely they were desperate for money, many were poor trans women of color, they probably had to sign something to say they would go along with what the producers wanted, or break their contract and not get payed. :(
I know there are other trans women who did called themself men just to please the TERF, Transphobic People and themself. It is like they have self hateness. They are basically"nothing like other trans woman." I know.
"Do I look gay?" What do straight people think gay looks like? If you walk down a crowded street, can you point out everyone who's gay based solely on their looks? Fuck no! People think I'm straight and I'm nowhere near that at all
These trans women on the Jerry's show are literally trolling against their own community. Like why?? Bums me out that clips like this are still so prevalent. Also, interesting that we hardly ever see it done the other way around. I bet the crowds reaction would be very different if it was a trans man coming out to a woman. Probably would try to fetishize it as if they were two lesbians. :/ (even though it's a man and a woman)
Its all staged. The crowd, the people, the dialogue. Jerry's show is design and tailor made to shock and trivialize real issues. Sadly people think its real and because of that, many believe that this is what the trans community is all about. Baiting and decieving for the sake of a cheap laugh. I'm sorry for anyone going through this and fear not, the best way to be accepted in the world is honesty, calm and above all love. Loving others and loving yourself.
Hey Samantha!!!! I love your videos so much! Im Nonbinary and you make me feel so valid! And you are so beautiful and valid aswell!! Keep being you! I love you💕💕
In the third clip the whole “you should have told me right away” and everyone cheering just shows not one person that agreed with him has ever even had the base knowledge to take a second and think from anyone’s perspective but their own. Like he’s literally saying (while they met at a bar and didn’t even know each other) “you should have told me something deeply personal, difficult, potentially traumatizing, and that could have anything from extreme insults to being attacked to even murder” like.... no? She did not have to say anything until she wants to, Until she was safe and ready to do so by her own volitions entirely
I am just hoping that you don't feel to terrible by watching those clips... I am so sorry. Just know that you are accepted by so many people like me. Stay strong💖
I saw this video pop up and girl, it broke my heart. I remember watching Jerry Springer, it aired like a few years later in my country but it still aired. And I remember episodes like this.. and I hated them. So when I saw you reacted to them I was like "oh no, that's gonna mess her up". Still, I love how you pulled through and made it educational. I just hope the mentality changes. Men aren't gay for sleeping with trans women and women aren't gay for sleeping with trans men. And I don't get why that's difficult to understand.
Love Samantha’s commentary so much. She says all the most relevant, useful points, and she’s always doing her best to stay inclusive and aware. And she’s SO funny, what a legend.

Like its frustrating how someone who's with another person who's trans(mainly trans woman) and are embarrassed in public. Like you love them anyway and now it all changed and it breaks my heart.
The audience reactions in these kind of shows is what kept me in the closet for so long. It’s so hard coming out when you’re expecting that kind of reaction...
One like from the Final Fantasy VII Remake is, "True beauty is an expression the heart. A thing without shame, to which notions of gender don't apply."
I've matured so much since middle school. I was like most of these men in their reaction. In high school, that's where i came to my senses that I'm attracted to transwomen. Nowadays, if she is a woman trans or not and I'm attracted to her, she is still a beautiful woman. I would cherish her, love her, and be the happiest man on earth. I've come forward to only 2 out of 30 or so of family members that I'm attracted to mtf transwomen but i don't have the cajones to say it to everyone if i was dating a transwoman... not out of embarrassment but just that's her choice to tell my family, not mine.
You should tell a guy at the beginning so you know that you like each other for who you are. Some people have different standards and you must respect them and in turn you will be respected
Sucks you didnt get to the Jerry clip, when a trans woman comes out to partner and he says "I dont care, i love you"

Not gonna lie, comments like these rub me the wrong way. Anyone can be toxic and it ends up being everyone else's problem to deal with.
@@ymarascough1765 you obviously don't know what toxic masculinity is, do some research before commenting.
@@ShearF3ar I'm a woman... all I'm saying is I don't agree with using the buzzword "toxic masculinity" to describe something that people from all walks of life and backgrounds are guilty of.
SMH
In seriousness im assuming you didn't mean to be dismissive and simply aren't aware of the context.
So he lashes out at the woman because he wants to reclaim his "lost manhood."
Our toxic cultural idea of masculinity litteraly has a built in claim that its more manly to be violent and beat up or even kill transwomen than it is to accept (unwaranted) ridicule for being attracted to a transwoman.
Seeing the pain on the woman’s face after he said “I don’t wanna be with a man I wanna be with a woman” made me choke back a sob

For real!
I think they reacted like that because of ignorancy, but it really is sad, like it is such a huge problem since a lot of transgender people die from stuff like this, just always try to stay safe.
I think it's ignorance and the pressure from the audience to react badly to it
@Username umm I have never heard of a trans woman not disclosing her being trans before being intimate with a person, but I don’t think it’s something you disclose on let’s say a first date because you might not even be intimate with that person and don’t want to disclose your biology on a dinner date
It’s also good to mention that it could get trans women killed to disclose that they are trans so they choose to play it safe before getting to know the person and see if it’s safe to tell which I think is totally valid
@chris white Maybe in a perfect world trans girls and women could walk around advertising the are trans, but it is often very dangerous on a first encounter, or in a public situation, many haters out there many on a crusade to shame and hurt trans women and the men who love them, the many murdered women are proof of that.
Of course once you get to the point when you both feel comfortable enough
(and like all women, trans women need to feel safe enough to trust you are o.k and confide in you) then is the time to disclose, otherwise screw your fragile egos/ feelings, a girl/ woman's safety is more important.

I hope one of these girls tell their story and how they were treated behind the scenes, I truly don't understand why trans women are displayed this way on the show.
I'm cis and I remember watching these Jerry Springer episodes alllll the time as a kid and laughing at them.
Same
I didn’t understand it because of how I was raised. I didn’t know what to call trans people and even though I tried to be respectful I constantly misgendered because I was too young to understand.
Now as I realize I’m a bigender bisexual I finally somewhat get it.
That second clip really hurt. When that audience started applauding him, that cut deep and I'm cis. She deserves better.

So, I've gotten into your videos just this year, it happened when I was trying understand trans people more.

Yikes, I don’t get why so many people like these shows, they’re so cringe even before they do their x-phobic segments of the week.
Ignorance, growing up with these shows (personal experience), but sometimes people are mean and enjoy the pain of others.
Which is homophobic as well as transphobic, because not only does the audience see the transwoman as "actually a man", they also see the homosexual relationship between the two men as something worthy of condemnation.
the perfect time to tell someone is the first time you talk to them and you work it into the conversation.

Since when do transwomen call themselves men?
Clearly fake, that show.
Likely they were desperate for money, many were poor trans women of color, they probably had to sign something to say they would go along with what the producers wanted, or break their contract and not get payed. :(

@ninerempire4life28

I know there are other trans women who did called themself men just to please the TERF, Transphobic People and themself. It is like they have self hateness. They are basically"nothing like other trans woman." I know.
These videos were really tough to watch as a kid, but watching it with you feels like we're confronting a traumatic past, Thx
"Do I look gay?"
What do straight people think gay looks like?
They either were actors or desperate for money prolly
They did do that once and the reaction was totally different from the trans women. It was viewed exactly like that. Smh
