I’m just proud all of the lesbians I used to watch back in the day who were friends with Arielle have distanced themselves from Arielle because she’s gone so mask off.
Tbh, I've seen her videos but I've never subscribed to her channel nor become a fan of her. I don't have a problem with Arielle being a lesbian. It's just I don't like her mentality towards the different sexualities out there.
Y'all remember that episode of iCarly where Ricky Flame was fighting little kids to win at something because he knew if he fought anyone his own size he'd get rinsed ? That's how I view these people.
I'm the kind of guy who likes to argue just for the sake of arguing so I'm trying REAL hard right now to counter what you just said in any shape or form that I can possibly muster...... And I failed lol. That was a perfectly written comment!
@@meiimacca4054 yes, a trans woman was sharing how getting called things like 'bitch' or 'whore' make them euphoric and Arielle said "sounds like a fetish. Being called that is literally turning them on"
Oh my god she actually thinks that? She is such a sick human being, for the amount that she calls us perverts, it seems she’s the perverted one in this situation
@@actualgoblin but even then its not being degraded thats making them feel gender euphoria its that they used slurs against women to them, making them feel validated as trans women. Which makes perfect sense to me. I cant see how that's a bad thing- its a silver lining on a crap situation

Also idk why people in such outrage as if trans people are a huge chunk of the population when the reality is that the majority is not even LGBTQ at all
In a TERF's mind gay trans women are just 'straight men trying to force lesbians to date them' and gay trans men are 'women who pretend to be gay men so they face less sexism.' Which is utter bullshit they use because they don't listen to trans people. They just want to villainize them.
She saying that "they're eliminating homosexuality" just shows how arrogant she is. Like girl aren't you aware that they're guys who are trans and also gay Or is you just ignoring that part.
Can somebody help me, I hate Arielle, and most things she stands for. But a I do have a question (It's just a question, I genuinely don't understand and I would like to know) I'm a Lesbian, but how que you identify as Men (Cis or not) and be considered a Lesbian?🤔 How would that work?
I cannot understand how can one be lgbtq and not a leftish ~ especially when leftish seeks social equality, it is like both want the same things but have a different name. It is just that being a leftish you focus more on the political view of how a society is being built but overall looking at the whole picture being lgbtq would fit perfectly in that kind of society .
if a men is getting better position in society because of patriarchy, doesnt mean he must support patriarchy. He could have think of the consequence for society and decide to be against it. the same with being left. we LGBT people might getting our rights but doesnt mean the extreme left is all correct
She's talking about girls that might think they should be boys because they like girls. Lesbians becoming straight because they are confused. There are detrans stories like this.
@@Lorvina1 yea but to imply thats all trans guys or anywhere even close to most of them is definitely incorrect, and even most detransitioners only do so temporarily. "It's like being degraded is turning them on" I'm sorry sis but BDSM existed even before cis people understood that trans people exist you can't blame trans people for that lmao
The bathroom debate.. As if a potentially predator would stop at a simple sign to go into a womans or mans bathroom. People should fear those and not fear people who just want to feel safe and secure.
seriously though, tons of men would barge into the womens restroom not even claiming to be trans women before this whole "bUt WhAt AbOuT tHe BaThRoOms" nonsense
@@tavrosnitram1529 saying "women will get raped anyway" is not a good argument to abolish the few sex segregated spaces we got left. The issue with self-ID is that men will be legally entitled to those spaces, look at Wi Spa, the "transwoman" was not breaking ""any rules"" and ended up being a serial sex offender and indecently exposing themselves to women and girls, if they didn't let people with penises in these spaces this wouldn't happen at all, bc staff wouldn't let them in.
@@lealsofi oh of course you're here too. Have you ever BEEN outside?? TALKED to a person?? I know I'm wasting my time because your stupidity is mind numbing, but no one walks into women's spaces, claiming that there is no issue with them being there. That is literally made up. Regardless of the fact that most rape doesn't actually come from random strangers, it comes from family members and friends, a 'women's' sign is not going to stop a rapist! He (assuming they are male) doesn't care! Most men, especially those who ARE emboldened enough to force themselves onto others are painfully insecure. They're not going to demand access to women's spaces with the hope of eventually taking advantage of them? Not to mention: trans people are more likely to be the victim of sexual violence! Not the predator! It's so painfully sad how this blatant fear mongering is so common. There is no big bad cis man who is going to put on a wig just for what? The power? The thrill of walking into the women's restroom and taking a piss? Men don't WANT to be seen as women! For example, the Olympics have been allowing trans women to compete for years, and not once, not ONCE has a cisgender man called himself a woman to win a shiny medal. Why? Because men don't want to be seen as women! That's why misogyny is still a thing?? There is no dude with a beard going into women's spaces because a transwoman (who may or may not still have her dick) is allowed in there. Because guess what?????? Being trans is ALSO seen as a bad thing! There are people who make caricatures and paint trans people in a negative light, sometimes through their own bodies, but those people don't ACTUALLY want to be seen as trans!! That's the whole fucking problem with it! Also they didn't even say "women will get raped anyway" they literally said (it didn't stop them before), implicitly stating that it's not going to stop them now, because it's not! Bad people don't have this need to justify their actions. Bad people are a result of bad mentalities. Somebody going into these spaces with the intention of hurting others does not CARE about who is or isn't allowed there. Murder is illegal, but that doesn't stop Joe down the street from killing someone now does it?? Because Joe down the street doesn't CARE about the law! He wants to hurt someone! Also who is going to check? Who is going to make sure that no one going into the women's restroom secretly has a penis? Who is going to make sure that no one in the guy's restroom has a vag? No matter the answer, it is creepy and uncalled for. Not to mention, it literally will not work. Do you want to run into someone as beautiful as Samantha in the guy's bathroom? No, people will claim she doesn't belong in there! (She doesn't, but that's the issue with the 'trans bathroom' regulations). Has anybody here seen Jamidoger? Dude has a full beard and looks pretty damn manly... but he's trans... Do you want to see him in the women's restroom? No! Because he doesn't belong there! There is quite literally no way to enforce trans bathroom laws, because you do not know whether someone is trans or not! Even when I still identified as cis and used the bathroom of my assigned gender at birth, I got /so/ many weird looks. I get weird looks regardless of which bathroom I use, because You. Cannot. Tell. You think you can, but you can't. THAT is why the trans bathroom debates are stupid. It's literally victim blaming and prejudice held together by fear mongering.
On the topic of finding misogny euphoric as a trans woman: what Arielle isn't grasping here is that those of us that have this experience aren't necessarily justifiying misogny by doing so. It's entirely involuntary, I don't choose to find misogny validating but the sad reality is that misogny is a part of the woman's experience in this culture and therefore for a lot of trans women it's a sign that other people recognise us as women when we're on the receiving end of the same treatment. I would take issue with someone if they tried to claim that misogny was good because of this, but I don't think that's a common take.
I fully understand you, as a cis woman I have this feeling too sometimes (or internalized misogyny) that pretty women get cat called or degraded so even though it's dangerous and a bad sign when guys do this, there sometimes remains the feeling that to be a woman, especially a beautiful woman (cause people focus on women's looks so God damn much) I have to get cat called cause even negative attention seems like positive attention. It feels awful but it's the sad reality so I'd absolutely understand how a trans woman could feel this way, and there's no point in being mad about women who feel this way cause we didn't choose to treat women like garbage, that was men over hundreds of years, so I'd say there's defo some (generational?) Trauma there that effects many many women to this day Edit:wrong word.
you can get euphoria from bad things, that just happens! when transphobes on the internet assume im AMAB nonbinary and tell me i must just have a small dick and that’s why i think I’m nonbinary, i get a rush from that. Because in trying to hurt me they assume something I’d rather have them assume. It absolutely doesn’t mean it’s ok to body shame or reduce people to their genitals, just like transfemmes feeling mixed feelings about misogyny doesn’t mean misogyny is ok.
As a lesbian who went to Arielle's channel years ago to find sex positivity and education, it really frustrates me that she's gone down this road and is even actively sex shaming people. Good video, Samantha. ^-^
Yes how dare Arielle state facts like trans women are men and always will be and because lesbians and straight men like women they don't want to bang biological men.
I’m in the same boat. I used to watch her as a teen and she was great. I wanted to revisit her channel to see what she was up to now and it’s just…. Wow

She's just grifting, it's so horrible what some people are willing to do for money. She's attacking a whole marginalized group just to get some conservative bucks, it makes me sick
If she doesn't need your approval, why do you need hers? She exists, sure, but if you don't listen to what she has to say, then it can't bother you. There's plenty of people online that would drive me crazy if I gave their opinions any validity. I just tell myself that they are wrong and then move on. Why torture yourself by caring about the opinions of people you don't like? It's not worth it, and it gives them power over your thoughts and emotions. Whose opinion matters most to you, yours or hers?

It's easier to dehumanize and abandon any attempt to connect and empathize with perceived enemies if you treat them like a monolith and disregard personal thoughts, nuance, and ways they reach their conclusion. World would be better if people in any and all types of discourse on all sides of the political spectrum remembered this, but, well, for now we are stuck with how it is.

I don’t appreciate the trans TikTokers who say “this is why you should be trans”. Being trans isn’t a trend, it’s not a luxury, it’s quite literally having a female brain inside of a male body, which causes gender dysphoria that can be relieved by transitioning. Or vice versa for trans men. It’s not a trend! Having gender dysphoria isn’t “cool, hot” etc. It’s just a variation that naturally occurs in humans. That’s like saying “everyone should be gay because it makes you cooler and hotter”-No!! Being gay is not trendy or a choice! Neither is being trans!
As a student in psychology who had a course about how "genders are socially construted" and as a person who's life moto is "let them be" I cannot fathom people taking the time to create a video trying to stop progress... girl is fighting the wind real hard
genders really are a social construct, and many societies have had their own terms for different sexualities and genders throughout recorded history, its only, i guess historically recently with all the colonizing, that people take issue with it
@@crossroads670 You aren't the brightest bulb in the box eh? Gender is a social construct, this is a fact. What that means is that gender doesn't exist outside the human mind. Humans created the idea of gender in order to describe themselves within a society.

there were some things she reacted to that i didn’t agree with. for example the “lesbians can be men, lesbians can be straight, etc.” one. however that was probably satire. but she turned it on trans ppl and blamed them. trans women can be lesbian cause they ARENT men, and so can non-binary people. the term non men is just to include enbies in the definition of certain sexualities such as lesbian
Mhm yeah. I didn't get the "lesbians can be men" or "lesbians can be straight" because like isn't the whole point of being a lesbian is not being attracted to men and being attracted to non-men.
I think "inspired" is a better word, since that prompts you to take action from a positive place. People like Ariella MOTIVATE you, motivation usually comes from a negative place
Lmao the “some lesbians are men” tweet was probably referring to the fact that some trans men still identify as lesbians, which is hilarious because Arielle would 100% consider them a lesbian
@@christmastree6817 not really, trans men are men but there are certain expectations and privileges inherent to being a straight man that trans men don’t always have access, while also dealing with a lot of harassment and discrimination that cis men don’t, so they cis straight men and trans straight men aren’t really the same, which can cause a lot of trans men who are attracted exclusively to women to be uncomfortable with calling themselves straight since it doesn’t really reflect their experiences. So it’s not saying all trans men who are attracted to women are lesbians, just that some identify as such for a variety of reasons and that’s not really a bad thing.
@@christmastree6817 I just don’t see why it’s important to dictate what label other people use for themselves, using the “technically correct label” isn’t going to change transphobic people’s minds, and figuring sexuality/gender and how they interact can be complicated and a lot of people can’t be bothered to think about it if it’s not bothering them to begin with. Like as long as these trans men aren’t telling others they should be lesbians, I could care less what they call themselves
Y’all are just getting way too invested in how other people talk about themselves. There’s also plenty of trans woman who are only attracted to men who call themselves gay or homosexual. If they are happy and aren’t trying to force labels on others why does it matter

I loved this! One thing that came to mind though... that tweet about 'lesbians are...' came across to me as bi/pan phobic. Like... if you're a woman who loves other women, you're lesbian, but you can also love men too... doesn't that actually make you bi or pan? (Not that Arielle's take was right either).
yeah exactly! a lesbian is someone who likes women- that's kinda the whole point of it. if you like men, then you're not lesbain. God i hate bi/pan erasure
The tweet was stupid af, but somehow even in disagreeing with something so obviously wrong and indefensible, Arielle's response managed to be stupid af too, just in the other way.
it's lesbophobic, too. there are other terms, like the umbrella term "sapphic", to describe non-men's attraction to women, be it exclusive to women and women-aligned people or not. a lesbian is sapphic, a bisexual or pansexual person can be sapphic, but a sapphic person may not be a lesbian if they're attracted to someone who identifies as male (or male-adjacent). there's a bunch of discourse about this, especially on twitter. lesbians deserve to have our own space. (you're entirely right, though-arielle's take was trash.)
I like how Arielle & other righty people act like internet things are so serious when they were literally intended to be jokes. Biologically you are a female. 100 years later when archeologist dug up your bones, they will identify them as a female not trans or whatever. Acknowledge science. Scientifically you are a straight female.
No, I’m gay. And they ain’t gonna dig up my bones, I’m gonna be cremated. We also keep records on those buried, so even if they did dig up my bones they’d see based on all records from my living life that I was male, and they would be able to conclude that I was a trans man based on bone structure and how I lived in my life. It’s not that hard, also future archeologists aren’t going to be as transphobic as they were in the past or present
@Reality, Bane of Men in Dresses it’s gay. A man attracted to another man is gay. I’m a man who’s attracted to other men sexually and romantically, so I’m gay. I’m also romantically attracted to non-binary people so technically if I was being specific I’m a biromantic and gay/homosexual man, but I mostly just use gay.
@Reality, Bane of Men in Dresses Yes, sex and gender are different. Sex is what you are born as; male, female or intersex, while gender is a hardwired identity; man, woman or non-binary. While gender and sex most of the time align, it sometimes doesn’t. And sometime sex doesn’t match your sex chromosomes. Cisgender is when your gender matches your assigned birth sex and Transgender is when your gender doesn’t match your birth sex. So a biological male can be a woman. And having XY chromosomes doesn’t always mean you’ll be physically male or have male parts at birth. Sometimes the Y doesn’t have the SRY Gene in an XY pair and sometime the X has the SRY Gene in an XX pair, and sometimes it’s just an X or more than two sex chromosomes. When it comes down to it the only thing that really dictates what and who you are is your hardwired identity, and deep down inside you know what gender you are and you don’t need to look at yourself nor at your documents to tell you that. I always knew I was a guy, I was just not lucky enough to win the coin toss on biology. I can’t change who I really am on the inside, but I can change the outside to match my identity. And my quality of life has improved. I feel much more comfortable and happy since I’ve come out and have transitioned. I sometimes forget I wasn’t born with male parts and it’s always jarring to see older pictures of me before my transition. The me I am now is the real me.

That’s a really good question Lux. I recently saw a video about a family where the couple was a trans woman who had not had the bottom surgery yet and her husband who was a trans male that had not had bottom surgery yet and they actually ended up having a biological baby. He said it was very different the way he was treated in the after care appointments being the carrier of their baby but identifying as the husband. They had both been on long term hormones as well as both completing top surgeries so they very much appeared fully a male and female couple sorry if I’m wording anything incorrectly or not pc I’m trying and still very much learning about the different ways people identify as a gender and that it doesn’t necessarily mean that impacts their preferences in sexuality. I might not know all the right words and definitions but I am fully supportive of people being the person they truly are and loving the way that truly makes them feel comfortable in their own skin and that they be allowed to love whomever they choose to so long as that is a healthy, non violent relationship. I went through an abusive marriage and being raised in an extremist Christian religion and when my cousin came out as gay the family treated him horrifically. It broke my heart that these people who claimed to love us and raised us to include his own parents would say as well as kicking him out at the age of 17 HOPING HE HAD NOWHERE TO GO. His own mother saying the most vile things I could never imagine saying to my own child or any for that matter. Thankfully he had the support from this of us cousins who left the religion prior to that and an aunt who left before as well. It just infuriates me how hateful people can be when they are not in any way going to be in danger or Inconvenienced by the choice of others to be happy and live true to themselves v as long as you aren’t harming others there is no excuse for the vile hateful ways some treat those they deem as not the same/different or they simply disagree with their lifestyle and it is bull crap. I have witnessed the deep depression and almost losing my cousin whom I’m very close to because of the way our “family” treated him. He was and is a strong man and found and married an amazing man.

It feels awful but it's the sad reality so I'd absolutely understand how a trans woman could feel this way, and there's no point in being mad about women who feel this way cause we didn't choose to treat women like garbage, that was men over hundreds of years, so I'd say there's defo some (generational?) Trauma there that effects many many women to this day
Edit:wrong word.
And then the comment she made about it "turning trans women on"? Like what?? This bitch doesn't know what euphoria means apparently
@Fucking grass isnt it "Dysphoria"? :0
@Fucking grass ahhh Oki thank you for explaining:))
you can get euphoria from bad things, that just happens! when transphobes on the internet assume im AMAB nonbinary and tell me i must just have a small dick and that’s why i think I’m nonbinary, i get a rush from that. Because in trying to hurt me they assume something I’d rather have them assume. It absolutely doesn’t mean it’s ok to body shame or reduce people to their genitals, just like transfemmes feeling mixed feelings about misogyny doesn’t mean misogyny is ok.

8:05 according to the LGBTA wiki "Lesbian is a term that defines queer attraction to women. This attraction is most commonly used as exclusively wlw/nblw attraction, as communities sorrounding exclusive wlw/nblw have become the primary part of the lesbian community. However, there is no one perfect definition that encompasses all experiences of lesbianism. This term includes butch, femme, non-binary, anonbinary, cusper and multigender folken."
And this is just the first paragraph.
Isn't there a term that already defines a non binary person who is exclusively attracted to women?
(I'm just asking) How can you be gay or a lesbian ( historically binary terms) without having a binary gender?
And I say historically binary terms because in most definitions still defines gay and lesbian as people attracted to the same gender they identify as.
@@rociovalladares3412 Nb people liking women are also called trixits.
And if non binary people call themselves gay/lesbian, it's okay, it's just a term they like better.
@@rociovalladares3412 Some non-binary people prefer call themselves lesbian/gay, because they may feel more comfortable using those terms. Of course there is a term for non-binary people attracted to women/men.
With the comment, I was just saying that Arielle saying that lesbian means a woman with primary and secondary sex characteristics who is sexually attracted to a woman with primary and secondary sex characteristics. The definition she gave is wrong, since now lesbian means both a woman who loves another woman and a non-binary person who loves a woman.
The conservatives that scream the most about saving women and children are also the ones most guilty of domestic violence. The never spare the rod group.

Is it just me or does Arielle look like she needs a bath?
Honestly yea
Wouldn't help though
Yes, to me she looks like she has a beard
there were some things she reacted to that i didn’t agree with. for example the “lesbians can be men, lesbians can be straight, etc.” one. however that was probably satire. but she turned it on trans ppl and blamed them. trans women can be lesbian cause they ARENT men, and so can non-binary people. the term non men is just to include enbies in the definition of certain sexualities such as lesbian
Mhm yeah. I didn't get the "lesbians can be men" or "lesbians can be straight" because like isn't the whole point of being a lesbian is not being attracted to men and being attracted to non-men.
@@user-bv7lg5wi5p it's women. Not non-men.

Also a lot are older or were already in a serious relationship and don’t feel it’s necessary to analyze their entire identity
A lesbian dude is straight, not lesbian...
Y’all are just getting way too invested in how other people talk about themselves. There’s also plenty of trans woman who are only attracted to men who call themselves gay or homosexual. If they are happy and aren’t trying to force labels on others why does it matter
I once got an ask back in Tumblr days telling me to "Stay away from our gay men. Stop trying to make them straight" and I just said "no" because there's no convincing these people that trans people are who we say we are.
@mr balls I'm married to a gay man. Lmao.
@mr balls I'm a trans man married to a gay man. Bio sex has nothing to do with who you're attracted to.
@mr balls No. Because sexuality and gender are two separate spectrums, even scientifically. Heterosexual is inaccurate. It's been proven at this point that gender isn't in the pants, but the brain.
God. I remember when I used to watch Arielle's videos way back when like 2009/2011 ish. They were actually really well made and very informative. And somewhere along the line she became a terf and it's like, ok sis, idk wtf happened but yikes.
Grifting money is more interessong than principale for Arielle.

@Reality, Bane of Men in Dresses if I was straight then I’d like just gals or just nbs. But I like guys and NBs, so I’m gay and biromantic.
@Reality, Bane of Men in Dresses
Yes, sex and gender are different.
Idk why the trans women in women's bathroom is a debate, like are trans women supposed to go into the men's? I feel like a trans woman in a man's bathroom is gonna be at risk for being the victim of violence and assault.

Trans rights are human rights and cover everyone !!!
Just be kind to others you don’t have to like or agree with the they live it and the choices they make in order to be happy but you do need to show at the very least a modicum of respect.
I love Jeffery Mrash's content! Thank you for highlighting their work ^_^
