@@samc2261 Ah yes that makes sense, but then it raises one question how does one determine gender identity? Because the current definition of gender is 'the social and cultural differences of men and women' so then obviously if you claim to be the male gender well then you would have to wear suits and male clothing. Otherwise you technically aren't the male gender because you aren't meeting the social criteria of the gender man. If what I said is wrong then how exactly does one determine their gender identity I mean what are these labels based on? The only way to determine ones gender identity as male as far as I can tell is by embracing the social expectations of men (wearing suits and male clothing). Correct me if I'm wrong of course I'm still learning.
@@biologydoesntlie4093 i would say that gender identity is determined more by an individual, and less by social criteria as the current definition of gender doesn’t, for example, include non binary people. i suppose gender identity is established by what someone most aligns with if u take social criteria and standing into account. gender, i think is subjective and i guess attaching certain items of clothing to a gender is where we as society go wrong as there is nothing to say that a dress is inherently female or suits are inherently male. something i think is really amazing at the moment is how stereotypes of men and women, i.e. the social criteria, are being broadened and less simplified. i think as well it’s also important to look at other languages for example in spanish vestido the word for dress is a masculine word but something like camisa is a feminine word meaning dress shirt. gender is one of those things where as a society we attach certain behaviours and objects and items of clothing to physical human attributes i.e. genitalia. i also think that it’s important to remember that there are all kinds of men and women. i like to think of gender as a 3D spectrum if u identify as male where u see yourself on the male spectrum as more masculine or feminine is perfectly fine and vice versa for women ( i won’t comment on being non binary as i don’t know what it’s like to be non binary or how non binary people identify who they are as themselves ) you can be a masculine woman or a feminine man or a masculine man or a feminine woman or maybe you’re somewhere in between masculine and feminine as a man or woman it’s perfectly fine and normal to fit anywhere on this spectrum. to answer your question more simply i suppose i don’t really know how people determine their own gender identity because it’s entirely personal. i will make it clear that i do not know everything about gender and gender identity i am also young but from what i have learnt this is how i see it i am by no means an expert in this area and as im cisgender i will never know what it’s like to experience anything other than being male.
As a scientist-in-training, it literally hurts me to see “science” being thrown around so carelessly. Wtf does a dress have anything to do with biology??
Clothes don’t have genitals so how do people decide what gender a piece of clothing has? It don’t make sense it’s just fabric where do you see a piece of fabrics gender?
If you create some clothes and say this is for men then it’s for men just like if you create some clothes and say this is for every one than it is for everyone simple like that
@llashuwa Beatz Dresses along with a lot of other things that are now classified as “feminine” used to be made specifically for men and used to be looked at as masculine
That's exactly the definition of man. "person that doesn't have children and has punched someone". They teach it in school like that. Other definitions are obsolete.
Damn... me too. But I only have ever punched someone as a child. So does that mean that I *was* a little boy, but if I have a kid I'll turn into a woman?
Yeah like clothes are literally just fabric sewn into different shapes. Like where on a piece of fabric is the genitals? Nowhere because fabric don’t have genders. Like why is it so bad when a man wears a dress but then it’s totally fine when a woman wears pants? A lot of things that are considered “women’s clothes” were originally meant for men but no ones complaining when women wear those because we’ve already gotten used to seeing women in those types of clothing and in the future I’m sure people will think the same about men wearing dresses we just haven’t gotten used to seeing men wear stuff like dresses so a lot of people don’t like it because it’s not considered normal yet. The world is changing and some people are just afraid of change and would rather have things be the same way forever but old ideas get dated after a while and change is necessary.
@@silh3345 Exactly, and also, kilts are a very old thing from Scottland, used by men. Like, it's technically not even that new of a thing for men to wear such clothes.
“We must teach our children that boys and girls are different!” ...but it’s NOT a social construct and it’s purely scientific? Then why the need to teach it?
GOSH YES. The right always TALK like gender is god-given and unchallengeable and ACT like it's so damn fragile if it's not constantly reinforced it will disappear.
Let's not forget that sex change is also a natural ocurrance in nature: Some species exhibit sequential hermaphroditism. In these species, such as many species of coral reef fishes, sex change is a normal anatomical process.[1] Clownfish, wrasses, moray eels, gobies[2] and other fish species are known to change sex, including reproductive functions. A school of clownfish is always built into a hierarchy with a female fish at the top. When she dies, the most dominant male changes sex and takes her place.[3] In the wrasses (the family Labridae), sex change is from female to male, with the largest female of the harem changing into a male and taking over the harem upon the disappearance of the previous dominant male.
@@tengyueren2796 I think the argument doesn't hold up either way. Whether something is a common occurrence in nature or not does not equate it being necessarily good. Murder, infanticide, rape is common in nature, that however does not make it morally right or something we should strive for.

You're misconstruing the Right's argument the same way Ben butchered the vogue's argument. While I disagree with Ben Shapiro, I must uphold rationality. Here is what the Right is saying: There is a spectrum of being a "man". Even if you wear a dress, or try and transition, you are still on that spectrum. You cannot leave it, so you shouldn't try. Even worse, wearing a dress plummets you to the bottom of the spectrum. Instead, don't wear a dress, and get to the top of the spectrum so you can be a "real man". I know, it's a terrible argument and not one I agree with, but it's not contradictory the way you are implying it to be.
@@elizabethwright9828 but it's a contradiction, if they still think a trans women is man , but then when they wear feminine stuff, they still get called a man , then when a cis man does it , he's no longer a real man . There's the double standard.

“Defending your family is a masculine trait seen in nature.” He does know that female animals that have young are considered more deadly than lone males right? Like I Have lived in places with wolves, moose, mountain lions, and other dangerous animals, and if you encounter a mother and her baby, she will often attack you on sight with the intent to kill, whereas you have a higher chance of surviving when encountering a male. So by that logic shouldn’t being a protector of the family and being violent be associated with femininity? I’m tired of the nature argument because it’s so subjective, we aren’t living in nature like early humans, we live in the 21st century, and the science is often wrong.
Saw a boy getting violently poked and prodded by a cow once when he was told to herd a group of cows and their calves by his farmer dad. I thought he was going to die. Thankfully he only came out with a dislocated shoulder because the dad came running in hurling chunks of wood and then carried him out. To conclude I wouldn't mess with the children of the mother cow or the farmer dad if I cared about maintaining my good health. Though to be fair it was the dad's fault his kid was in danger in the first place.
Hmmm I don’t know if a female lion protecting its cubs is considered aggressive or just considered protective. Cause I mean, human moms are just as protective of their kids and they’re still considered feminine.

@Truth Seeker I would wear my partners flannels and leather jacket, and DEFINITELY hoodies, but I can't. We are long distance so I can't wear their clothes. 🥺
Even limiting the "biological argument" to only mammals is problematic. Spotted hyenas, for instance, are known for the females being more dominant and aggressive.
Actually in almost all non-human animals the females are more ferocious and aggressive and dominant. That's the natural order since the female needs to also care for her young along with protecting herself. It's only humans where the male are always more aggressive (always as in during all times of the year and not just mating season not as in all individuals). Most ultra social and intelligent and well organized mammals like wolves and whales and elephants and even bees in insects and many more are fully matriarchal. With humans ... I mean something must have went wrong somewhere for men to have become such vile aggressive creatures here ... then again some researches that are actually backed with scientific evidence are now saying Y chrom. is only the result of a mutation in chrom. X and should have originally never existed since they also newly found out that in humans too, women can have babies in specific situations without any sperms being present (as in only with her own egg or her and another person's egg and her own egg and a normal cell even). @@samc2261 I'm confused tho, if the definition of gender is the social characteristics of men and women, then doesn't that mean Harry isn't the gender male since he doesn't conform to the characteristics of the gender male? @@biologydoesntlie4093 nah don’t worry the only thing i would say is that as far as i’m aware harry identifies as male but is androgynous in the way that he dresses so his gender identity is male because that’s how he identifies, obvs i can’t speak for him but this is what i’m aware of as far as i kno he hasn’t said anything otherwise, but he chooses to sometimes be what is typically considered more feminine through his choice of clothing and how he chooses to express himself as we’ve seen before harry likes to experiment with fashion and in an interview i believe he said something along the lines of “fashion is something that’s exciting if i see a nice blouse i don’t think that’s a woman’s blouse i think that’s a nice blouse and i’ll wear it” hopefully this clears a few things up for u

Let's not forget that sex change is also a natural ocurrance in nature:
Some species exhibit sequential hermaphroditism.

Even worse, wearing a dress plummets you to the bottom of the spectrum. Instead, don't wear a dress, and get to the top of the spectrum so you can be a "real man".

Yeah in the past, and as society progresses we reject those old traditions, and now we've shifted our standards. But people are trying to break those standards and move back into the past. Maybe you’re not smart enough to understand
@OhHell_TooTheNo Gee exactly, there's always that one person who tries too hard to insult you
Talking fast and making sense is not dumb - you can disagree, but he’s talking just fine.
The person in the video says:
“That’s all he’s doing, he’s just saying just wear what you want. That’s it! Calm down...” (about Harry styles and the dress)
The problem is the person in this video will only see the surface, and Ben sees the scientific (which I don’t care) BUT BEN also sees a little more - which is the insanely obvious clear indoctrination (and for those that say is a conspiracy theory is either part of the agenda OR completely unconscious thanks to their emotions and their focus on smaller things rather than the big picture)
Ben isn’t throwing jabs at transgenders, he’s throwing jabs at the mainstream transgender so-called “representatives” acting like they’re the spokesperson for ALL transgenders, but really these “leaders” are not aware of their narcissistic, impatient, belittling behavior - and overall immaturity. (I am most certain that there are transgenders that never force anything onto society NOR do they cry about not being “heard” )
I’m sensitive, but I know when I’m too sensitive. The best way to relieve it all is cry alone in the room, right angry stuff on paper, throw it away, go for a walk in nature, run, stretch, water, uninstall most social media apps, minimize everything in the digital world and the physical world.....there’s nothing to fight for....it’s all theater.....all opportunism....all money....all slavery....
This person in the video also says “protect ourselves from what?! We are not hunting for food”
Bottom Line - Mainstream transgender people (except for the chill transgender people) are enslaved to their emotions - and the ones who are emotional AND logical are aware of the puppet strings in our civilization.
It will never be a conspiracy theory
Children are involved and extremely malleable. Of course most wouldn’t care because they’re too blind...
I’m convinced that you’re all bots at this point. Terrible....
I’m not a Ben Shapiro follower nor much of a scientific guy - forget about the chromosomes.....just think about the children....they should choose when they’re 18/21, not indoctrinated as a child.
That’s taking it too far....
Ps: For every debate, every individual is different. It can be an atheist vs transgender, a Christian vs transgender, heck a transgender vs transgender with different views, so quit putting anybody in boxes.
The problem of having a really funny comment is that people will abuse the popularity of your comment to have their idiotic opinions heard.
@@organicwins91 "there’s nothing to fight for....it’s all theater.....all opportunism....all money....all slavery...." "I’m convinced that you’re all bots at this point. Terrible..."

Facts don’t care about your feelings Benny Boy, and the fact is, it’s just a bit of FABRIC
@llashuwa Beatz Have you people not seen what men used to wear during the 16th century? That's just one example, there are many examples throughout history of men wearing what we now deem 'feminine' clothing. And that aside, who the fuck cares? I'll wear whatever I want, if I wanted to wear a dress, I would, if a woman wants to wear a suit, I see no issue with it, if someone wants to dress androgynously, go ahead. Why not focus on actual issues, like poverty or discrimination
@llashuwa Beatz The fabric was specifically for the male gender. Because Harry is male. And the dress was designed for him. The end.
@llashuwa Beatz You’re right, there’s nothing masculine about wearing a dress. There’s also nothing feminine about wearing one, either. Clothing does not have gender. Thank you! Hugs and kisses! :)
@llashuwa Beatz but why should fabric be gendered? I don't understand. Its just something you put on you to cover up and keep warm. Why does anyone care what others put on themselves?
@llashuwa Beatz for hundreds of years, or even thousands, men (well rich ones at least) most often wore clothes that would be considered dresses nowadays and were considered no less "manly" for doing so. It's only in the last 200 years or so that that stopped being the case. It's only the society you live in that has convinced you dresses are inherently un-masculine, not anything inherent to the clothes themselves.

Don't try to reinforce his ideologies, those are his beliefs, and he's determined to stick with them and not succumb to his urges. You know, it takes some strength and will power to control yourself. He knows what he believes in, and he's not gonna let his inner urges make him think otherwise. Assuming that you're brother is older and mature, he should be more wise now, and more entitled to his beliefs. At this point his beliefs have layers upon layers on them, he knows why he believes it. Your brother doesn't want to be something, and he's trying not to be that. It's not because he's forcing himself to be something he's not. It's because he truly doesn't want to be something he doesn't like, so he needs to control his urges.

Yeah, their society is matriarchal and the males are the more submissive.
