I did something similar years ago. As a group, we went carting and I brought a friend along who raced in team Cleo. Until you see a real racing driver, drive, you would not believe how fast these guys can go. Almost everyone thinks they can drive until you race a professional driver.
Quite certain there's also money involved. Some people do this for the fun of it, but usually these videos make a quite a bit money, so it will be obviously divvied up. Kind of like a token of thank you. Everyone wins a bit. Max Fosh wins, because he cheated. :P

Pretty amazing to see how big the difference is in skill between a formula driver who barely made it into formula 1, and a amateur who practises Go Karting probably more that the formula driver.
most professional racing drivers started in karting and were doing nothing but that their entire childhood and teenage years. you can't expect a ~20something year old to perform on that level by practicing on the weekends for some time. the real pros lived and breathed that shit since before they could form a coherent sentence.
"Barely made it into Formula 1" is a bit inaccurate. While it's true he was only in 1 race, he was the reserve driver for a top team (Let's not pretend Williams wasn't just Mercedes' version of Toro Rosso at that point). The only reason he never made it onto the grid is because Mercedes was more than comfortable with their lineup, and he was good enough they didn't want to give him to another team. He was basically in the same situation Lawson was last year/first half of this year, but for a longer stretch of time, and unlike Lawson who had a seat open up for him Aitken never got an opening to move up.
Even a good amateur. I've been karting with my brother-in-law who did a proper racing school in college and instructs part time at his local (full size) track. He soundly leaves me in the dust when we're karting. I can't even keep up when I'm on his bumper trying to duplicate his line.

I completely understand that perspective; however, here's another (I'll admit very niche) one to consider. I have intense dietary restrictions that don't allow me to have any fruit, artificial flavors or carbonation. Because of this, I have missed out on most flavored drinks. I got an AirUp a few years ago and, while I can tell it's not exact and some of the flavors are DISGUSTING, it has given me new experiences and a few flavors I kinda like. Definitely not worth it for people who can have the real flavors, but for people like me, it's a net positive experience. Again, fully understand what you said. It's way too expensive for people who can have the real flavors 😭

Even a good amateur. I've been karting with my brother-in-law who did a proper racing school in college and instructs part time at his local (full size) track.
He soundly leaves me in the dust when we're karting. I can't even keep up when I'm on his bumper trying to duplicate his line.

I completely understand that perspective; however, here's another (I'll admit very niche) one to consider. I have intense dietary restrictions that don't allow me to have any fruit, artificial flavors or carbonation. Because of this, I have missed out on most flavored drinks. I got an AirUp a few years ago and, while I can tell it's not exact and some of the flavors are DISGUSTING, it has given me new experiences and a few flavors I kinda like. Definitely not worth it for people who can have the real flavors, but for people like me, it's a net positive experience. Again, fully understand what you said. It's way too expensive for people who can have the real flavors 😭
I have a cousin who can't drink water (i dont remember his condition), so he replace it with soda or boiled water so i think this product is very helpfull to people with problems @@Mackeca😮😮😮
