This is so cool and simultaneously pisses me off because this can be done in VR chat, but Nintendo and others won’t do the most basic shit to promote these games in vr.
I hope they finish this whole game. I grew up in the 90s and me and my friends always talked about how cool it would be to be INSIDE of the game. This is actually happening and its honestly emotional for those of us that grew up on the original. I never thought id see it. Oh man, Imagine majoras mask too! But honestly, id be happy with even just this little bit of oot.
Nintendo will shut this sh*t down within the next few months, haha! They don't take too kindly to their IPs being used, regardless if it's fan projects that don't make any money for the creators.

I’m really glad they decided to use the 3ds graphics, ik people don’t like the 3ds gameplay that much but you can’t lie that the graphics are so much better

@@YoBrand15 You can get vrchat on quest too, some avatars and experiences only work on PC though, but the majority work on both .
I could be wrong but im pretty sure this is running in citra, a 3ds emulator that recently showed a little love to the vr community (or someone modded it idk). Its available on side quest for standalone use tho im not sure its the full version available to the public.

It's been a dream of mine to play classic Zelda games in VR ever since the Quest 2 port of RE4, and the amount of interaction in this is particularly impressive work for a modder! Specifically the ability to climb ladders naturally is really cool, and I'm shocked to see the ability to drop items like your sword by letting go of the grip. *More VR games should let you do that.* This is, without a doubt, one of the coolest fan projects Nintendo will ever shut down.

You can play it with Nintendo 3ds emulator, the graphic is very pixelated but has a cool 3d effect

As an experiment, it's a great proof of concept that porting those games could really be achievable.

@@MrCarpediem6 VRchat is on the quest store, though if you want the full VRchat experience (you probably do not) then you need a stronger headset like valve index.
Normally vr chat games look pretty simple and half baked and something like this would probably just let you walk around the world. But the fact that they’re going all out and trying to recreate the entire game as a real vr experience is really cool and I hope nintendo doesn’t end up messing everything up. Sure, it’s not really accurate, but it’s probably just a proof of concept right now that they’re working to turn into the full game.

@@GAMERTAGVR There's really no comparison between the two, Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever made and Majora's Mask is one of the strangest with a twinge of "hey, that's a nice touch".
It’s really all opinion. But as a super obsessed life long Zelda fan. (Even covered in Zelda tats.) in my case I adore majoras mask. OOT is 2nd to it for me.
I travelled 220 miles just to get this game cartridge for the N64 when it first released. I had to give the guy in the shop an extra fiver to hold it for me. This looks awesome, thanks G.T.
Wow. Nintendo please join the vr community. Since Sony isn't doing much wich i thought would be the gamechanger for the vr community but sadly Sony earns enough on flatgamers and since most game boomers aren't changing what they allready know(like most of my friends who i can't get into vr, most don't even want to try it or say they want go back to n64 graphics). Maybe zelda will turn them over since most of them got a switch just for breath of the wild.
This is amazing... I really want a pokemon red or blue. The original without the added ones. I would LOVE to relive that as an adult

It is super cool though! There's also a majoras mask vrchat world that's even more impressive. The game is multiplayer too so you can mess around in hyrule with a bunch of other people and voice chat
