Dear Kitchen Tigress, I love this recipe. The way you ensured a straight cut with the toothpicks is genius ! Thank you for another great video, it's much appreciated
I have a Japanese friend who I met through being her hairstylist. She invited us to her house for traditional Japanese dinner because we love the culture, as well as the food. After dinner, she entertained us with this Chopin song. It was like a different planet. Soooo cool. Perhaps I’ll make this for her!!
I have so far made your custard cake, green tea cake and cheese cake all delicious. I think this one I'll try next. Strawberries are in season. Thanks!
I don't bake or cook or anything. I'd just buy this at the store. I stumbled upon this video and you make cooking look so beautiful. It was fun to watch for that reason alone.
I like the cook's treats idea and then you have the perfect looking cake. Presentation perfection!! Thanks for your videos and the fun bits in your commentary. :)
I'm so glad you add "written" titles to your RUclips footage, because my "sound" is not properly working on my computer speaker. BUT, ATLEAST I CAN READ WHAT YOU ARE INSTRUCTING US TO DO! Thanks for sharing...be blessed!
Love the video...plan to make it tomorrow. but please tell me if I can use melted butter instead of oil, I somehow don't like the flavour of oil in cakes...request for a quick reply please.
thank you so much for this recipe! i'm going to make this shortcake for tomorrow lunch, can someone please tell me if i can make it this evening and then put it into the freezer till tomorrow? or should i do it tomorrow morning because it's better to eat it right after making it..? thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english e___e
Hello KT, In step #3, Bake till batter doesn't move when gently jiggled, 15-20 minutes. Remove baking tray. Continue baking till cake is nicely browned and springs back slightly when pressed gently, another 10-15 minutes. What does it mean? So when you put in the over, there is a tray under the cake?
Hi I am new to your channel and I love your videos! I have been looking for areally moist cake and this one looks amazing, thank you so much! Would this cake be good for adding other flavours too, like orange juice to the batter? Thank you :)
Hi, I tried your recipe and made a wonderful shortcake last week. I had followed everything you did. Thanks, it turned out great except for one issue. The bottom of the cake, I guess the top too, after splitting them in halves were very hard to eat. Can you help me to perfect it again next time? Thanks
Bob Duke i think you must follow recipe. He (she) said that the cake must be baked at bottom rank in 15 - 20 min without top heat. After that, baked it with top and bottom heat until it dry
Awesome video with a clear subtitle, and the music. You made me laugh! "Don't nick the strawberries", well guess what, even I'm tempted to eat it. Same goes for eating the other bit for later, I tend to eat it straight away. :D.
If I am piping out roses using your whipping topping for the Japanese Strawberry Shortcake, how long can the whipping stands at room temperature before it droops or falls apart. Please reply. Thank you.

The way the cream fills the pores of the strawberry reminds me of how my foundation does with my pores.

Such a relaxing video, loved it! Looks so good
Love watching you bake. So delicate
beautiful and elegant
This actually reminded me of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. ( Your lie in April), because of the piano, and the baking.
If you want the song, you can find it in grade 5 or 6 in classical ballet. I danced to this song and I have a faint memory of it.

I can see you are a perfectionist. It amazes me what a perfect batter you get every time. You have it down to a science.
I like the cook's treats idea and then you have the perfect looking cake. Presentation perfection!! Thanks for your videos and the fun bits in your commentary. :)

Hi, what's the brand of your hand mixer? I really want to buy one just like yours.
I love how you timed the music at the end, it was my favorite detail I think. Along with the very dark freezer hahahahha
Subscribed!
Beautifully expressed! I felt like crying!
May I know where you bought the electric whisk? :)
it's strange, but i LOVE how the batter literally swallows the corn oil
thank you so much for this recipe!

Cuando usted dice harina para pastel o "cake flour" Se refiere a harina para pastelería o harina comercial preparada para pastel? Gracias!
What a nice recipe! I can't wait to try it.
Is there a reason why oil is used rather than butter?
Is that a hand held electric or battery whisk? Could you show it in full please and tell me where it was purchased from. Thanks ;)
how about cooking time and temperature?
That looks nice.So nobody has to fight over which one will get more strawberries or whatsoever :))
Am I the only one imagining Austria from Hetalia playing the piano in the background as the person cooks???

Hello KT,

What does it mean? So when you put in the over, there is a tray under the cake?
Crystal Leung that time, the tray is on top, not under to block top heat in 15-20 first time. After that, you remove it and continue baking.
is your flour with any raising agent. thanks for the video :)
This is really pretty! I would highly recommend soaking your cake with a simple syrup so that it doesn't dry out so fast
Jeremy Barrios no. She said that soak the cake make it shrink quickly after that
Jeremy Barrios and you should read her strawberry shortcake blog
what is the size of the baking mold, i love your recipes!! thank you so much
Luis Fuentes it 20(l) × 12(w) x 5(h)
Hi I am new to your channel and I love your videos! I have been looking for areally moist cake and this one looks amazing, thank you so much! Would this cake be good for adding other flavours too, like orange juice to the batter? Thank you :)
This looks amazing, but why the glucose?
May I ask what is that whisk you always use in your videos? I really want one ^_^ thx

Beautiful cake and the background music ☺️☺️
Omg the recipe looks very good, I'll try it soon! Thanks for publishing~
Can someone tell me the name of the melody?
To block the top heat, can we just switch to heat from bottom only?
Can i use full cream anchor for the "thickening cream"? thankyou
what do mean by cake flour is that self raising flour?
Hi,
I tried your recipe and made a wonderful shortcake last week. I had followed everything you did. Thanks, it turned out great except for one issue.
The bottom of the cake, I guess the top too, after splitting them in halves were very hard to eat. Can you help me to perfect it again next time?

Bob Duke i think you must follow recipe. He (she) said that the cake must be baked at bottom rank in 15 - 20 min without top heat. After that, baked it with top and bottom heat until it dry
I'm from the Philippines, can i use heavy cream to substitute thickened cream?
can i put the batter in the fridge so i can bake it the next morning?
I followed this recipe to the T, and it was delicious!!! Thanks a lot!
Haha, your captions are so funny! And the cake is beautifuL!
Awesome video with a clear subtitle, and the music. You made me laugh! "Don't nick the strawberries", well guess what, even I'm tempted to eat it. Same goes for eating the other bit for later, I tend to eat it straight away. :D.

Hi there . Do u use baking soda for this recipe ? Would like to try . Thanks ! :)
I imagine this song playing as a dainty lil vamp chomps away at its delicate meal 🤔
Hi, I had tried following exactly the directions. Except cook additional 5 mins. Would this possible to make the hard a bit harder?
Is it possible to use round aluminium pans for this recipe instead? if yes, what size is recommended?
Am I the only one waiting for Erza to pop up shouting 'すごい!' ? Probably am lol... Cry everytiem...
Awesome cake! Definitely gonna try this :)
which brand of cake flour do you use? please share :) Thanks!
Is cake flour self raising flour? There is no cake flour in Australia......
Perfectionism at its finest

looks amazing, like straight out of a bakery! :)
WOW very nice. I have to make this tomorrow.
Why is the the top portion of the cake not baked in the oven like normal? Isn't that going to make the top of the cake undercooked?

After 3:32, your subtitles go wonky and start disappearing :/
If I am piping out roses using your whipping topping for the Japanese Strawberry Shortcake, how long can the whipping stands at room temperature before it droops or falls apart. Please reply. Thank you.
You should ask her on her blog. The link is in the description box below the video.
Lotus Koi you must using butter cream for making flower to decoration. Butter will hold the shape when it cold and make it longer than whip cream
Just absolutely amazing i have to to make this. I am a novice when it comes to cooking and baking but ill try my best. Ooh I cannot wait. :)
if im using a toaster oven, do i still need to block heat?
