I am a home cake baker. Very good at too I might as well admit. You have made me finally want to make a Strawberry Cream Cake. FINALLY. I always thought they were boring. You made it look fun somehow and so many ideas on taking it to tha next level popped into my head watching you. Thank you Nada
I love that you use whipped cream in your recipes, that's what I been using to decorate my cakes, but I still have to learned how to work it. I was surprise by the way you smooth it out with the hot water, and place it directly in the cake, since I thought that whipped cream and water are a big NO NO. I am going to try that little trick for my dad's fathers day cake.
Thank you for sharing your recipe for that great looking cake Nadia. First time I'm viewing your videos. Beautiful cake....my favorite cake is Strawberry!!! Thanks again & I'll hopefully be making this very soon!!!
Hi nadia I m using your recipe since you start your channel and everyone loved it and I stopped baking cakes now in lockdown I start again and I noticed you didn't upload any new video really missing your videos your way of teaching really good you tell every step very clearly thank you so much
Hey Nadia! I'm so happy I found your channel. The whipping cream used, did u make it? If so, can u pls share how? I'm clearly a newbie because I didn't c this question in the comments anywhere, lol.
I made your chocolate version and it was a huge hit. Everyone kept raving about it. Only if you knew how long I had been looking for that recipe! So excited to try this one and I hope it turns out just as delicious! Thanks for sharing ☺
Made this yesterday for my family and it was superb. The cake is moist & it simply delicious. I added 2 teaspoon of vanilla to my batter. Thanks Nadia for the video:)
Thank you very much!! The reason i was asking whether the whip cream will melt or not is because last time i used the whip cream you get in the cans that you spray out of the can and it melted in 30 secs in room temperature so i was just making sure it wont be the same as that. Also after making my whip cream should i refrigerate it? if yes, how long for?
Heyi Nadia I really loved the triangular tool you used for those fine lines.....can u suggest me an alternative for that.....your cake simple yet amazing....thanks for sharing
This looks great! I wanted to make this for mine and my boyfriend's birthday in two weeks and I wanted to know how long the cake will last for in the fridge
Your cake recipes are the best . I wish you could share the recepie for mango cupcakes with mango flavour frosting, witout using mangoes.Plz Plz plz . Thanks.
This is a french recipe I remember making this when I went to a culinary arts school, lt reminds me of school. Great watching again and you did a great job.
This recipe looks great! We just made a Strawberry filled Angel Cake and love using strawberries with cake. We will have to try this one too :) -Ivelin and Laura
Hi nadia, thanks for the wondering video! I have a question on how you reach your ribbon stage. No matter how long I whip them with my Kitchen Aid mixer, they always have a frothy and bubbly texture instead of a pale creamy texture like yours. I gradually increase the speed to 8-10. Is that speed too high or do I have to beat the frothy eggs more to get the creamy consistency? thanks for your help!
Make sure you eggs are at room temperate and not cold. Leave them out for several hours before you start making the cake. The 8-10 speed should be ok. Sometimes it just takes practice so try again and follow the directions as closely as possible.
Hi. I would love u try your recipe .. Don't have cake flour in the uk . Can I use plain flour or self raising flour for the same result? Thanks in advance
Maynaz Iqbal If you don't have cake flour, you can use all-purpose or plain flour but there is a specific measurement you must follow. Simply google 'plain flour to cake flour' and you will get the reference. Good luck
Your cakes look soo good all the time! :-) Can I use blueberries instead of strawberries? :-) If I'm planning to bake the cake 1st and cream the in between layers later, how do I store just the layers? Can I just wrap the cut (cake) layers in glad wrap and store them in the fridge and cream (the in between layers) the next day? Do I have to store the finished cake in an air tight container if storing in the fridge?
LadyLLLL Hi, Yes you can use blueberries for sure. If you plan to decorate the layers another day, I would suggest wrapping up the entire cake (without cutting layers) and then store in the fridge. This way it retains as much moisture as possible. Then when ready to decorate, leave the cake out for about 30 mins or so before you start to cut the layers.
It looks great and probably tastes great as well, nice video and recipe. Will the cream hold it's volume like buttercream or should it be covered with the cream just before serving? The whipped cream melts so fast.
+Amir David Thank you! I would decorate the cake with the whip cream and then place it in the fridge to keep its volume. You can pull it out of the fridge 20 minutes before you are going to serve it. This cake should be fine in the fridge for 5 days (covered in a plastic cake container so it will remain fresh).
Hi Nadia. Your videos look great and I am sure they taste great. Please can you put the measurements In cups, spoons and liters in order to follow your recipes
Can you please answer the following questions. What if i use a 9" cake pan what changes would i have to adhere to? Also can i use a paddle attachment on my mixer as i do not have a whisk attachment or can i use a hand mixer with a whisk attachment if a paddle attachment is not possible? I cannot find extra large eggs in my local supermarket will large eggs do? Also, how come the whipping cream does not melt once its on the cake? Thanks please reply asap!
I followed step by step & made this cake for my BIL's 51st birthday & it was awesome. Would like to upload the pictures, may I know how can I upoload them ?

Make sure you use "warm" water, not hot and tap off the excess water from the metal spatula before using it to smooth the cream.

Glad to hear that your cake turned out great. Your friends will be impressed.
looks really good. I only question not wiping off your spatula as in not doing so, you add water to your whipped cream over and over again
This is great! I actually succeeded in making a cake! It took me a while to get my egg and sugar mixture to look creamy and fluffy though.
A very fine and delicious cake indeed! It was one of the best cakes i found on youtube. Nicely done Nadia. Keep it up
Wow you make it so simple and easy to follow I will try one day and let you know how it turns out :)

Heyi Nadia I really loved the triangular tool you used for those fine lines.....can u suggest me an alternative for that.....your cake simple yet amazing....thanks for sharing
Shefali Ahmad If you don't have a triangular design tool, you can also use serrated knifes or other edge devices to get the design.
This looks great!
I wanted to make this for mine and my boyfriend's birthday in two weeks and I wanted to know how long the cake will last for in the fridge
+Kady Sorry for the late response. It will last 5 days in the fridge.
I made a cake as per your recipe and it was so great!! 👌👌👌👌
Hi I will try to do that soon. The reason I use ounces is that it is more accurate. I got a $20 digital scale and it works great.
