Also, this is not James' channel, it is Chris'. Dead Meat is not on my mind while watching a FoundFlix video, and that is perfectly fine.

Right! Like wtf.
Maybe he didn’t want it. But that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t tell the cops then they could’ve checked the takeout place surviallence to see him or simply ask the employee
Actually, the investigator didn't really have anything on him, that's why he had to leave him go, but still was stubborn on finding a way to prove he killed his wife. Even if they had a scene of him using the receipt, there's the chance that he killed his wife and then went to buy the food to make up an alibi. So the other dude would still be following him around. In conclusion, the movie would've gone the same path.

I must say, Dead Silence was one of THE best horror movies I've seen. Actual buildup instead of jumpscares, a truly horrifying supernatural entity, and an amazing twist I couldn't see coming.

The plot twist was crazy....I almost shit myself
She either:
1)is controlling a real woman by procession as some ghosts do (like a puppet master)
2)she built a very very human like puppet when she was alive (or possibly after she died...she’s a ghost so she can do what she wants) and is controlling the puppet from beyond the grave
@@clxk3376
There are two endings. In the original ending, Mary is possessing a living woman who also has a grudge against the town. In the theatrical ending, Mary created a doll from human corpses before the town murdered her. In the first cut, there are deleted scenes that fill in the backstory to the woman who was working with Mary.

You dropped the ball man, there was an alternate ending to this movie you didn't even mention. The alternate ending is so alternate that it reveals a different twist in that Ella was his fathers new wife, she got knocked up and he kept beating her and she miscarried so she ran to the cemetery, dug up Billy, and made a deal to bring Mary Shaw back in revenge. I am a bit surprised you did not see this alternate ending/deleted scene as it totally alters the movies ending to give a secondary interpretation.

I don't understand why they made an alt ending. If they had included that as the OG ending, it would have brought so many unanswered questions. Like how is Ella able to imitate voices perfectly? How did Jamie's dad end up in a wheelchair? Did Ella make a deal to swap back and forth with Mary? It just doesn't make sense.
Wait wait wait, what?!
@@IGamingStation Jamie's dad is in a wheelchair bc he had a stroke. Ella is able to imitate voices while she is being possessed.
On second viewing, you can see where they were hinting at the twist throughout the movie, but it's still a fun reveal. Too bad they didn't keep the tongue in the theatrical release -- it made so much sense as a part of her design!
H M lol I read your comment before I finish the video and I was like what twist are you talking about
At the end Jamie shouldn’t have died. He technically didn’t scream, he shouted. And no one who died screamed when they saw Mary in their dreams. (My 3 am thoughts)
The only way he die because he knew what she was doing so basically he let her kill him and BTW he did scream cause its no way she can kill him if he didn't open his mouth ? But I agreed with you tho 👀
He did technically scream.
Last time I checked the act of Shouting and Screaming are the same thing, just used in different scenarios. Screaming is usually used in Fear, Shouting is used to Project the Voice over a Large Area. Thus Mary can kill you with a Scream or a Shout as both require you to open the mouth and yell

I get a feeling Freddy Krueger is cursing at Mary Shaw from his place in Hell.
I've always wondered why is it that only the criminals get their chance at vengeance?! They're criminals, they deserved their deaths. I wish they kept the alternate ending! Its available on the DVD as an extra. [*Spoilers Here*] Ella isn't a doll- she is a human, possessed by Mary. After her abusive husband throws her down the stairs, causing a miscarriage, Ella makes a deal with the ghost of Mary. So, a possessed Ella is the one who dug up the dolls, left Billy at Jamie's door, and carved her former husband into a cadaver doll. The alternate footage ends with Mary whispering, switching between Jamie's voice and Ella's, as she pretends to tell a bedtime story to Jamie's corpse. I absolutely love this movie! Its one of my favorites, and I wrote my first graduate school paper on it, but I feel like this ending was much more interesting.

Yeah, _Dead Silence_ - love this movie! Personally, I'm glad they went for it 100% with that ending. Turning a person into a puppet is the kind of over-the-top move you _want_ to see from a horror movie like this, and the kinda move they seldom do in horror movies after the 80's. Like - to answer your other question - my favorite (non-Child's Play) scary doll-themed horror movie, 1987's _Dolls._ Which STILL has one of the freakiest moments for me to this day, when they reveal the fate of one of the characters (Isabel, one of the British punk girls) in the Attic. Hoo-boy; that is some straight-up nightmare fuel, especially if you saw it as a kid.

dogpolice have you never been surprised by something? Alarmed? Lol that’s usually what happens when you’re caught off guard especially when your life is at stake.
@@Gagglesimpson or maybe he was about to go full super sayian god on her and just had to yell go power up
I was so confused by the ending thank you😭
i remember watching this movie when i was like 4/5 because of my sisters. i always forgot the name of this movie but, a couple months ago i found it online. this was one of my favorite movies that i saw when i was younger. i’ve watched this movie so many times lol. one of my favs!
I actually totally loved this twist hahah. It's been one of my favorites for a long time! But good video!
I was waiting on you to do this 😍 THANK YOU! ❤️
This movie was filmed in my hometown when I was little, I'm so happy I got to watch them film it!
So lucky
loved this movie was actually legit scary. would like to see darkness falls next tho
The only thing I don't understand especially after watching it 20 times is that, why did he scream in fear and not get angry about this newfound epiphany of the truth about his father being dead this whole time and you know, destroy her!!!!Sidenote: the mc fails at investigating the invisible ties that bind his families curse with any member of it for example his alleged new "mother in law" who seems untouched by shaw's curse!!!!!!!
A lot of people say its the shock from the reality of what exactly happened and what was going on. I know a lot of us would say we wouldn't scream, but in that moment, I'm sure all of us actually would.
Though cutting emotional ties would probably be a smart move to be made for almost any scary movies mc cause it would help them reach solutions to their situation.
I also thought that was weird. He survived actual in-universe jumpscares multiple times and then he just screams on the top of his lungs because he sees Ella...
To me it always felt like he was betrayed. His wife and unborn child were killed, all he knew was a lie, so life wasn't worth it anymore.
It was just a trash forced twist to try and cash in on the wanna be Saw horror theme relations.. what should have happened is flight or fight being triggered.. being that close to a target in an already heightened stat of survival.. would have made more plausibility to destroy the last vessel, was also a terrible played part on the ghost.. Why would you risk your last anchor against someone that has been obliterating your puppets when your immortal and have the time to escape and regroup. Over all the ending displays how the director was immature and should not be allowed to direct anything close to a new chapter. They ruin an other wise good tale to shoe horn a shitty twist in.
Probably wanted to get it over with, Jaime seems rather fearless this whole movie, he literally slept in the same room with a possessed puppet, when he discovered his father, he realized Mary will stop at nothing, He knew Mary would just keep taunting him until he finally cracked, and he had nothing left to live for anyway, so he just gave in.
I love how I can watch a movie in 19 minutes with this channel.
I loved this movie, I've lost count at how many times I've watched it
You’ve watched it 31 times Marissa, I’ve been watching you
No I’m just trying to be funny acting stupid
@@sepultura7771 31 times, damn.. Who knew having someone always watching you could come in handy sometimes.
Also just so you know, I can't be held accountable for any and all emotional damages you suffered that were brought on by watching me for a period of time.
I however do apologize for probably scarring you for life.
Eniway, I like your style and this is me trying to be funny.
I hate ventriloquist dummies, but I love this movie.
