That traumatic moment as kids has scarred them so much that it caused them to split apart. split apart so much that one went on to play a marvel character and the other went on to play a dc character.
vin 950 the sister kaylie is played by Karen Gillian who is Nebula in the marvel universe, it’s easy not to notice because of all the make up she has in those movies, and the brother Tim I’ve seen in a Netflix series about the titans he plays robin or nightwing
@Dog Faced Pony Soldier the brother is Dick Grayson in Titans....the DCUniverse streaming service series....and the sister is Nebula from Guardian of the Galaxy and The Avengers
The fact that Tim had gone through 11 years of therapy just to be sent back by his sister begging him to break a mirror is just sad he didn’t deserve that
do you think there's any chance that he would be declared insane again? and sent back to the Hospital? and that maybe he could get released again in another decade or so?
@@spencerreid2086 I think it was kind of implied that they’re going to see him as a lost cause after a second event, and just throw away the key. But you never know
@@kriegsblade7094 Or used something that would ha gone through a skull far enough to still break the mirror or have had enough force to break the mirror by pretty much smashing a head into it
that is actually what happens with a lot of people in therapy. If someone was on drugs and then got hospitalised most of the time they go right back to the previous behaviour just because they go back to same environment.
If she was smart she would have bought the mirror hired some people to drop it off at a carnival and open up a game called smash the mirror win $1000. She gets rich as people try but fail at it, she’s away from the mirror and there’s a chance that someone may actually succeed in breaking it. So it’s a win all around.
Plot twist: Tim and Kaylee never pressed the record button in any of the camera because they were under the influence from the start. I don't get why they didn't "accidentally" drop the thing while moving though. Sounds easier that way.
I'll be honest., I love this movie a lot, i am glad it's not had a sequel and hope it never gets one. Not everything has to have a sequel or become a franchise. It just seems so many people just think everything good needs to keep going until it's run into the ground. Yeah, it;s cool but let's just leave it as it is please, as a great stand alone horror movie.
Right he got blamed for two murders the mirror was responsible for getting dragged outta the house screaming the same words "it was the mirror" just as he did when he was a kid broke my heart
Robert Fernandez braille exists although if it can bend reality it could change the braille maybe even make it like they can hear or see or even influence their dreams
You have to remember that the mirror alters reality just to protect itself and it notices whatever is about to injure/damage it. If anything, it'd warp reality just to make it so the bullet misses. I'm thinking, the only way for something or someone to possibly have a chance to beat it is by managing to trick it into hurting itself.
Here’s my theory. Kaylee was actually done for the moment she had viewed the mirror at the auction house. The mirror had manipulated her mind frame and whatnot as soon as she had set eyes on it which caused her to act so eager to get rid of the mirror however never actually getting rid of it. Notice how the brother was brought into it by the sister and how he was the only one to be able to leave the house and to flip the switch and not the sister, the brother was never mentally fucked by the mirror. He was able to avoid this, the sister wasn’t, he convincing her brother to come and beg him to stay along with killing her fiancé this was all the mirrors doing from the moment she laid eyes on it. Good movie
Connie Kreese Yes, and remember when she thought she was hugging her mother, when in reality she was just standing there waiting for her death. So sad.
Loool she was looking for the dumb mirror for the past years so at the option she was looking for tht mirror she wanted to find it that was her mistake
That mirror should’ve died with Katie, the shock from the anchor would’ve been more than strong enough to travel through her and into the mirror. That would’ve been a good way to end all that ball teasing
The dumbest decision was Kaylie's decision to lay out all o her plans and protocols, right in front of the mirror. Because in the end, the mirror bent reality in direct opposition to said rules. It's exactly like a supervillain laying out his carefully and well thought out plan to the hero he's captured.
I think the mirror had it planned all along though think about it, they were interacting with there own childhood flashbacks towards the end, the mirror pre planned their deaths from the moment they were children, I figured this out especially after the brother when he was younger seen himself towards the ending older, it was all the mirrors plan
I love this movie so much, it’s so underrated. The acting is quite good, especially for the kids. The cinematography is sooo good, I love the transitions between present day and flashbacks. And it’s just overall creepy and tense without being gratuitous and over the top.
@@Peanut_taco_muffinI think it’s intentional to showcase how much this mirror has consumed her life. She’s been hell-bent on destroying this mirror since childhood. She’s dedicated years to researching it, tracking it down, and forming a plan to destroy it. The obsession and lingering trauma of her parents’ brutal ends prevented her from developing into the person she was supposed to be.
Being cocky was what killed her. She seriously thought that her average human self was going to destroy the demon mirror. To kill this mirror in this way, you would need a lot of remote access from extremely far away. Likely only using a robotic crew in an open area. Essentially she was doomed as soon as she brought her squishy human brain inside of the mirrors perimeter of affect. She brought a Nerf sword to a homing missile fight.
A robotic crew might not even work, the mirror can simply tip something over and cause the robots to fall. Or it can distort electricity and cause the robot to run out of battery or malfunction. Either way they should've stayed away. Either that or they should try with all their might to destroy the mirror instantly instead of trying to study it.
@@maple4567 are we sure it can deflect it. Cause the dad when he died cracked the mirror. If that's possible simple take a dead piece of meat cover the mirror with it then take a 50 bmg Barret and shoot it. Range is the biggest weakness of the mirror play against it. And the mirror tries it best to dodge hits rather than deflect it. Reality bending has its range..
@@karanvarma4843 Well I'm not really sure. Perhaps it can only deflect what it predicts. The mirror probably did not think the Dad would crack it, hence it did not bother to protect itself. So maybe, just maybe, the element of surprised is the key?
When I watched this movie, I enjoyed it but the biggest thing that annoyed me was the fact the characters don't think to use the cameras properly. It's shown that the mirror can directly manipulate what people see or experience, but the cameras themselves show the reality. You would think of all her creative planning, she would have been CONSTANTLY using cameras as a way to separate reality from illusion. Hell, I would figure the smartest thing to do (besides, I don't know, NOT BE IN THIS SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE) is to use her phone's camera and make herself a makeshift vr headset.... an OCULUS headset.... Yeah, I know, horrible pun, but it had to be made!
ValnorSith but you could see that since she was in the radius of the mirror that her and her brother’s “reality” were still manipulated. That’s the whole reason why she was killed because when her brother checked the monitors he didn’t see her because the mirror bent his reality and didn’t allow him to
Over time the mirror was able to even influence how they perceived what was on the monitors which is why Tim didn't see Kaylee standing in front of the mirror when he tripped the kill switch. He looked at the area in front of the mirror in person and through the monitors and saw nothing.
thats a good point, and as its shown in the few clips shes not entirely stupid, so ya, why not after figuring that out just fucking keep it on at all times, then again the mirror could likely just fuck with it in some ways since OP mirror, plz nerf
ValnorSith that’s another thing have the police reviewed any of the tapes they made? Showing what they were doing and talking about so they know the brother isn’t a psycho. Unless the mirror made the two put on a show where he tells her to stand in front of it or something.
The mirror is just playing into humanities' ultimate weakness: Absentmindedly putting things in weird places, walking into a room only to forget why you went there in the first place, and thinking you did something but you really didn't. It's just making people more absent minded.
Meanwhile, in a different reality: “This mirror is possessed by a malevolent force that has killed dozens of people, including our parents... So instead of messing around with it, let’s just lock it up in a lead box and bury the damn thing.” Roll credits
I really enjoyed this movie, and although it's a bummer how it ends, it makes sense. Two people can't take on an ancient, omnipotent malevolent being and expect to win.
You're right. They can't expect to take on an ancient, "omnipotent" malevolent being...not by themselves of course. But yes, what you said is truly the theme of this movie -- although -- now that I ponder it -- this theme could've been greatly enhanced, even more, to not just hammer home your message and make the message more digestible to the audience, but show how someone with power that is against the dark side had defeated the mirror so easily.
@@withmajesty6158 actually...I do believe pennywise is still alive after they defeat him. Twice, since I recall hearing that in a different one of his books a character sees a clown in a sewer drain in dairy

Just finished watching this. I thought it was pretty good, especially since the characters did their best to not be stupid. The main thing is that as soon as Kaylie revealed the "kill-switch" in the beginning of the film her death became really predictable.
They actually did act stupid as some point of the movie. One moment that really pissed me off is when she said "We should stick together" after she realized the mirror has less power when they are both in the same room, and then there was a cut to a picture of her brother going to explore the upper floor while she is being in the room with the mirror. Like tf
Yeah they definitely had their stupid moments. I mainly meant compared to most horror movie characters (who are dumber than a box of raisins) they made relatively intelligent moves. Although the smart thing to do would have been to either leave the mirror alone altogether or destroy it quickly.
CC B oh yeah I strongly agree that they made a lot less dumb moves than characters in other movies (which made it easy to connect to the characters).. but they had valid reasons on why they didn’t want to destroy the mirror fast or why they chose to mess with it in the first place.. I didn’t have a problem with those decisions
As soon as they did things they don't remember that is enough proof and should have killed it then, or at least try as much as you can to run out the house, eventually you'll make it
I kinda felt bad for the son he got locked up for killing his dad (allegedly) finally gets out wants nothing 2 do with that mirror & thinks he's smashing the mirror only 2 be tricked into killing his sister just to go back to jail for (allegedly)killing his sister!
So, the less entertaining but more practical way to destroy the mirror is to be outside of it's radius, while it is weak, and NEVER have it uncovered, and if not, do not face the mirror, approach it from behind. However, shattering it may not be a good idea, perhaps ANY part of the glass could have a weaker or same effect, meaning it multiplied... If avoiding the reflecting part, making a dozen more chunks is dangerous... My professional horror-film buff advice is snipe the f%#@er from over 50 feet at least, but the BEST way is to cover it up, put it into a smelting pot and Terminator 2 the thing.
Rocket launcher from a nice solid distance. You can't be in the radius- and you can't even look at the thing to snipe it from outside it's influence range, because it can screw with you if you're looking at it. Get it in a structure, then blow up the structure from a good long distance.
What if melting it then just pass its property to whatever its form after. Making it a demonic shiny metal reflective surface. Harder to brake this time. Her ideas weren't bad, but she should've let it broke as soon as they had their reality altered. As for me, I think the sniper idea is great, that what I was thinking. Why risk getting close. It should've been a team work. So while they were there. The sniper could monitor everything from very far. And act as soon as things got weird, maybe an electronic scope, laser point and a camera with zoom, or something similar, be creative. Or rocket launcher it if available. After braking it, while still monitoring from afar. Have different people, take some pieces, not all at one, everyone at different times. They might go batshit crazy and kill each other shards or something. Pieces to be mixed to something solid non reflective like cement blocks or something. Separate those blocks. And throw them to places people don't frequent. Like depth of the ocean or a Volcano. It s not like people can hang out at such places for prolong periods. And even if they get possessed and jump to the volcano or something. Well you kinda had it coming. Even without the mirror a volcano can blow any minute anyway, dead is a know risk. The carriers also monitored with snipers, dart kind. In case one of them tries to steal his brick. Assuming that brick still have too much power, not to be approach and be blown from the distant. Repeat the steps with the new pieces. I would probably make an way more detail plan if I had all the years she had. But this is just a base idea.
Man this movie was fantastic. That climax had me glued to the screen. And I loved when the mirror cracked after Tim shot his father, that moment of weakness in the mirror's power was so interestsing
As someone who had a guest pass at the loony bin I think the brother would be the most capable adversary for the " mirror" the strategies they teach really do work😊
Who says the mirror is unbeatable? If it genuinely can only affect humans from 30 feet away then anyone with a long range weapon could destroy it. It certainly appears to not want to be broken into pieces. Plus if physics had any say in the ending the mirror would of been smashed with her.
If I had a bandaid on and took it off to only have it reappear on my finger I would probably just leave it be cause I’m to lazy to struggle to get it off
One time I was cutting and apple for my bird and after I got done cutting realized that I didn't even grab an apple, to say the least I agree with you Mathew.
Was one of the movies that brought me back into my love of Horror. Thought it was exceptionally well done, the soundtrack wasn't overpowering, but drew you in deeper, and it played well on audience sympathy for the characters, when time and time again their efforts were thwarted and you empathized with the frustration and seeming hopelessness of the fight. The acting was also well done.
Same but thats why i loved it so much.. Usual horror movies are pretty straight forward which makes me guess what would happen next but this one was actually unexpected
She should have destroyed it remotely.....or simply placing a mirror in front of the thing. Why a mirror? It would reflect it's influence back at itself
Dont uncover it. Put on firing range out of reach of its influence. Snipe at it until sufficiently broken. Melt the glass with explosions or fire bombs. Scatter the molecules to the wind with a big fan. Try coming back from THAT Mr Mirror
I'm very glad I found your channel, you actually attempt to explain things about the movies instead of just mindless narrations, good job man thank you.......
I liked how even though Tim has a down beat ending he still came to a better understanding of his father by realizing that he wasn't really a monster, and that the mirror had tricked him as well
Really hope you explain "The Grudge" series, spirits and Japanese versions too. I have wanted explanations for that series a long time now. Should I say please? Please!!!
This movie is basically a summary of what I don't like in horror these days. Hopelessness. This film is probably the best example of "you're in over your head". There is literally no way they could win. This thing is a reality warper, you cannot trust ANYTHING once you get within 30 feet of it. As we saw, it made them THINK they were outside it's range several times and yet they had not left the room, and they had NO IDEA! It's not even like the mirror is mediocre at reality warping and thus if you concentrate hard enough you can spot a flaw, there seems to be no way to tell! This movie bothered me because it's entire premise was basically pointless nihilism of a kind. That's not fun. Horror is at it's best when there is HOPE, either to be vindicated or taken away, but hope none the less. These two? They were just ants caught in a storm. Two damaged people vs some eldritch horror beyond their comprehension that seems to have very few limits. It's not on their level and does not play by their rules. How is that entertainment? You're basically just waiting for them to die.
Yes they are (big Lovecraft fan here) but now they are EVERYWHERE. It is overused. Lovecraft was entertaining because his world of nihilism and despair had good world and character building, you did not actually know what was going to happen. Half of the time, the greater horror was that the protagonist was left alive to contemplate the unspeakable things that they had seen. These days, take the Final Destination series for example, you KNOW they are all going to die horribly. It's Gorn. Cosmic Horror needs depth so that you understand the immensity of what is being UNDONE by what you come to know and experience. Most horror films these days don't have that. Shallow writing and world building + cosmic horror = a mindless slaughter fest, in my opinion.
Right. So how does your critique apply to this film now? The film does an excellent job of showing how the two siblings had hope, originally: the brother showed signs of lucidity and recovery, and the sister made something out of her life--a fiance, a decent job, and a sharp intellect. Meanwhile, the film also takes care to show that either sibling could be correct about the mirror's nature: it could be some unassailable horror, or it could simply be a mirror to the protagonists' psychoses. It's honestly the best exhibition of my favorite type of horror I've seen from modern horror films. Nevermind whatever problems you might have with the writing, as a film that uses the visual to communicate the narrative, it toys with what the audience sees and knows such that we are just as victims of delirium and psychosis as the characters. It's brilliant, in my opinion!
this was one of those hidden gem horror films. for me the uncomfortable imagery of the band-aid finger, the glass in the mouth, the re-openning of the c section really got me uncomfortable. I even liked the jump scares. then there were themes of skepticism vs belief in the supernatural and how we remember trauma. Then the acting from the 6 leads was quite commendable as well. Best of all the editing. Seamless yet jarring as reality kept bending. Felt like Nebula vs the reality stone. Highly recommend.
Honestly, didnt she say something about a radius for the mirrors effect or some? Why didnt she just straight up throw a rock at it after she bought it from outside of the radius?
Don't assume she knew everything about its capabilities. She was seeing it again for the first time at that auction house or whatever. She hadn't studied it, she only had those historical incidents. The object clearly has a will and awareness. She was maybe measuring its effects on plants or whatever and thinking that was how far it could go, but nah. No reason to think it can't reach wherever (within reason) it needs to. It locks onto individuals, it's not blindly impacting people who walk by it. It's not about proximity for people.
I dont think the mirror can bend reality I think it makes people hallucinate to make people do things it(mirror) wants and when someone directly looks at mirror it takes full control of that person
özgür uras akkoyun so I mean technically speaking bending reality can be the same thing as creating illusions powerful enough to warp a victim's sense of what is real and what isn't but you are right.
I believe this too.... The aborigine of Australia believe that the eye is the window to the soul and looking at mirrors or even taking a photo will capture your soul. So maybe the mirror capture your soul and you start to hallicinate.
Plot twist: Kaylie becomes Nebula. Tricks Thanos, gets the gauntlet and goes after the mirror again, discovering that that Lady Death is behind everything about the mirror...
0:18 - btw the subtitle for that is in Italian, and it roughly translates to Oculus: The Reflection of Evil, which in my opinion is a wayyyyy better title
Dr. Bepis I rather without the subtitle, because if you read the reflection of evil is kind of a spoiler. So let only oculus, dont tell us much about what will happen. Therefore, to let the viewer guess a main idea is still a better experience IMO.
The key to beating this thing in the short term is to not attack anything, no matter how scary it is. It doesn’t seem to be able to directly attack or interact with anything, but rather trick people into attacking each other. In the long term of course, the mirror will simply drive you crazy, thus making it easier to influence you to attack someone. Likewise, the safest kill switch would be one that relied on gravity that would drop the mirror from the ceiling or out a window. It also might be helpful to have someone outside the area of influence with a rope or something attached to whoever is setting all this up to make sure they can be clear of illusions. Her flaw was trying to study and “expose” it which required them to be in close contact with it for at least a night. The plan from the beginning should have been to destroy it outright because it would have been incredibly hard to “prove” that the mirror did anything since it was them who had to move everything around. Her failsafes also all relied upon senses that the mirror had total influence over. In that sense it was like Aizen from Bleach, able to control what you see, feel, hear, and probably even smell. Thus, it didn’t matter how many alarms or monitors she set up, because it could make her perceive anything it wanted.
In my personal interpretation it warps minds, not reality. Hence the emphasis on the father's self harming and the mothers as well. Even though this suggests a weakening to it's power, in my personal opinion it's one of the best horror villians due to it's implications and difficulty to beat. Plot wise it makes sense that it doesn't instantly have the family commit suicide. It has to slowly gather energy over time, using those small portions to cause tension gaining larger portions over time.Without enough energy/control over ye owners, they could theoretically destroy it before it can effect their actions. On top of this it's nearly impossible to counter, due to the fact that by the time you realize what it is, you're already mentally unstable. Honestly the only way I can see it reasonably being defeated is to know exactly what it does, and destroying it from a safe distance, on top of waiting till it runs out of negative energy (which it's never explained when that actually happens.)
How to destroy a mirror that messes with ones perception of reality. I think the mirror is actually breakable it just does a good job of messing with things. This would require a lot of planning, like prep time sort of thing. 1. Have a house that is built for the soul purpose of the plan, something that explodes big time. 2. The main people of the house should not know how the house works at all, and should be as much in the dark of the plan as one can, if in fact lied to about what is going on. 3. The house should be equipped with webcams sending a live feed to people, but make sure none of the cameras are pointed at the mirror, but just enough to see the area around it. 4. Remember the house was made before the mirror was placed inside, so what ever is in the mirror would be unable to do much. 5. Some one who has no idea what is going on is told that at a certain part of the day, he is to set up a mortar shelling and launch it at the house at a certain distance away. He must be supplied with the weapon and not be told anything, just at a certain time he must go to this place and blow a house up, the house being in the middle of a deserted area. 6. The house has explosives lined at the bottom lined with a shell of of holy water and a timer that does not show up on it. The timer is set the moment the house is complete and will go off in a few days giving the people who enter the house no idea of what is going on. Yes there is two ways in which this house will explode. 7, The house will be around a tall fence that also is a few feet under ground. To prevent the mirror from controlling some one to move it out of the house as the fence will lock itself after a certain time, the fence lock like the house bomb has a timer and will lock itself after a certain time. 8. Buried under ground of course is more explosives, that the people who move the mirror in has no knowledge about and in fact lied to. They are to be told to place the mirror in the location then once done they leave and bring others in to help with the task at hand, they will even be given a note with names of people who will be helping. If all goes well they should leave before the fence locks. 9. Another mortar will be setup at the other end of the area out of sight with a timer, once it goes off it will fire, making it have three ways of blowing this house up 10. Knowing full well that the lives of the two people are on the line, knowing that the mirror has a good chance of making the people remain in the house, it is a risk.
When you deal with something that messes with reality, you can to make sure you get every possibility one can think of out of the way. And several back of plans
There's no such thing as over kill. If the explosive aren't exaggerated enough. One of the pieces, really small one. Will miraculously survive, fly away with the explosion. Year later, a little girl will find said piece. Think its pretty and put it in a necklace. And now the demonic mirror become a demonic pendant. So yeah, gotta make sure you vaporize the thing. Nuke it! lol
One of the things that really annoys me about these types of horror movies is how they set up an unstoppable force that ends up being just that, unstoppable. I liked this movie, but I would have liked it a lot more if they found a creative and ingenious way to destroy the mirror. It's just annoyingly predictable.
+will kelly Sure, but in a fictional movie, a horror movie no less, it's a trope that's been done to death. Like I said before, I liked the movie I just found it a bit annoying that its ending was essentially the same as other horror movies. Personally I find it much more satisfying of an experience when characters can overcome the impossible odds that they're faced with to survive in the end. Just look at the movie Alien. Ellen Ripley wouldn't be a household name if she just died in the end like they originally had planned. But that's just my personal take on horror movies. It's totally fine if you disagree with me.
Though in this they did show it could be destroyed as it was cracked, but it takes more than two teens who purposely expose themselves to the mirror’s effects. I actually really liked how it was shown the mirror wasn’t indestructible, and instead had to actually defend itself
One of the greatest things about this channel is forgetting which movies I’ve seen and reliving those memories. This movie was great when I watched it in theaters when I was 12 lol
When that anchor or whatever swung into the mirror. Why didn’t it crack? Even if someone was in the way, something that heavy would definitely cause damage to a glass mirror
While the mirror itself does have immense influence, the dooming moment is when they look into its reflection. Why not paint over the mirror? Spray paint or something thick. You’d still be plagued but it wouldn’t capture your soul since your reflection would no longer be a thing in the mirror.
Since the mirror stopped tim from throwing a stool at it I think spray paint would be hard but someone nuking a paint ball from 30 feets away should work.
I feel like if the court watched the entire video that was recorded that night and not just the snapshot of him dropping the axe, they might be able to plea insanity. They explained all the plans on camera right in the beginning with the history. With that video, I'd also bet some people would want to try to destroy the mirror themselves after seeing the video.
Did they change the tapes tho? Most likely everything recorded prob never took place or when they watch the video, Katie voice is prob all distorted and the pictures she shows don’t appear In the video . All manipulation from the mirror of course
@@franksuit1270 right, but I can't imagine what is on those tapes would justify as "normal behavior" for either of the two. I wonder what would actually be on them.

Fun fact: the “kill switch” is just a small boat anchor. Also though, if the mirror can’t trick cameras then my not just look through a camera all the time? Outlast style
I forgot what happened because the last time I watched it was like a year ago but anyways something happened with the mirror and then after they found the cameras facing the other way
The mirror can’t influence the camera but can influence what you SEE on the camera. Thus, even if you are always looking through a camera, it can just trick you into seeing what it wants. Only after someone examines the film outside the influence range can you confirm what was shown.
I don’t think the mirror is altering reality, more like it can mess with people’s perception of reality so long as they are within its effective radius. It’s not “reality bending,” just screwing with your comprehension of reality

I love that the Lasser Glass is sort of like this cosmic entity that cannot be truly understood. Even it's name only comes from the first known owner of the mirror, as it's creation is a mystery. It only can appear physically as the images of it's previous victims, as its "true form" is either something completely intangible or possibly non-existent. Time doesn't seem to effect it either, it likely has no concept of time, or exists beyond it. It makes me believe that when the adult and child versions of Tim and Kaylie interact and see one another, that the mirror has congruently created both hallucinations for both timelines. Since there is an implication that the mirror is a Satan sort of figure, with it's devil speech and all, and the devil is written to use the sins and evil of mankind to create their undoings, doing so subtly, tenaciously and leaving no trace, it's fitting that it reside inside of a mirror. Since when looking at it, you will only see yourself, and you will be used to ensure your own undoing.

Adrian Molina yes and i hope that happends in sequal if there is any
You have to remember that the mirror alters reality just to protect itself and it notices whatever is about to injure/damage it. If anything, it'd warp reality just to make it so the bullet misses. I'm thinking, the only way for something or someone to possibly have a chance to beat it is by managing to trick it into hurting itself.
JessyPrankster there's also another way to destroy it cover the mirror don't look at it and just destroy it relly its that simple
don't just destroy it, destroy it with hot metal that can melt the glass righ away. if you destroy it with hammer, the glass is still there
Here’s my theory. Good movie

Guns n Wheels it went through her neck though, not like her chest or another wide point.
I always thought the mirror couldn’t break
The dumbest decision was Kaylie's decision to lay out all o her plans and protocols, right in front of the mirror. Because in the end, the mirror bent reality in direct opposition to said rules. It's exactly like a supervillain laying out his carefully and well thought out plan to the hero he's captured.
I never thought about that! Yikes, spooky how a seemingly inanimate object like that can be capable of doing that 😮
Telling the mirror their plan was the point, it was part of the plan.
I like that the kids actually don’t act like idiots as in most horror films.

Just a take simple rifle and shot at 500 metres. Keep the mirror at an open shooting range. But to be a horror movie we need dumb characters.
@@karanvarma4843 I dont think that'll work. Sure the mirror cant make them miss but the mirror sure can deflect the bullets as it comes towards it.

As soon as they did things they don't remember that is enough proof and should have killed it then, or at least try as much as you can to run out the house, eventually you'll make it
How? This movie was super unpredictable.

Apex _ t-1000/10
even when covered up tho it seems to have a influence on people
Rocket launcher from a nice solid distance. You can't be in the radius- and you can't even look at the thing to snipe it from outside it's influence range, because it can screw with you if you're looking at it. Get it in a structure, then blow up the structure from a good long distance.
Apex _ and after that add cement to the melted glass and burn the frame

Kronos Sion It is just bad writing. The plot here is basically just contrived nonsense.
If it Dr.Strange: Mirror I have come to bargain!
You ever hear of Cosmic Horror? HP Lovecraft?
Hopelessness and futility are potent elements of horror.

Canal SDR Might be a good title for a sequel though, maybe even a prequel to the mirror’s origins.
Rimuru Tempest WHY ARE WE NOT FUNDING THIS?
Canal SDR I like it more cause it sounds like a real shitty 70’s exploitation horror film

Goths. And no that's not offensive, I am a goth.

Far from the best horror franchise but it is iconic. This would be good.
Bet
Black Emerald that’s a good one
Wouldn't mind that at all.
YES BRO, THIS COMPLETELY SUMS IT UP. AMAZING JOB

Plot twist: they’re just tripping on acid
Plot twist its a movie about a random mirror and we just on acid
That's what I said 😂😂
In my personal interpretation it warps minds, not reality.
“Sure you’re playing golf. Hole in one, buddy.”

9. Another mortar will be setup at the other end of the area out of sight with a timer, once it goes off it will fire, making it have three ways of blowing this house up
10. Knowing full well that the lives of the two people are on the line, knowing that the mirror has a good chance of making the people remain in the house, it is a risk.
That's some SCP level shit
When you deal with something that messes with reality, you can to make sure you get every possibility one can think of out of the way. And several back of plans
Nukes.... The whole City. The mirror is fucked.
I would say that would be a thing if the nuke target was some where remote. But it would be over kill.
Yeah i couldnt pin point whqt i didnt like about this movie, but u just described it.
Somethings are beyond human comprehension and simply stronger than us,
+will kelly Sure, but in a fictional movie, a horror movie no less, it's a trope that's been done to death.
Brendon Dellinger good point, I agree. Tropes are bad
I really hated the ending to this movie. It was a great movie tho.
Hunter Myers I was so pissed abt that
Same. tbh
I know the ending sucks. But how did you guys want or expect it to end?
Lol that mirror was op asf
When that anchor or whatever swung into the mirror. Why didn’t it crack? Even if someone was in the way, something that heavy would definitely cause damage to a glass mirror
Alright so WHO gave the mirror a REALITY STONE?
Reality can be whatever I want
Ehm, not Nebula atleast..
..no..IT IS the reality stone
nebula
THATS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING LIKE THIS MOVIE IS THE REALITY STONE BASICALLY lol
He was ALREADY released from a mental hospital so I'm sure he was sent back there..no need to plea that
So the mirror basically is an hybrid of soul stone and reality stone. No wonder nebula is there too.
Helen Keller could have destroyed it with ease
Not if someone else looks at it. It can then use them to keep her from doing it.

PLOT TWIST: they were playing a really long Telltale game on the Oculus Rift and lost. (they made all the wrong choices, obviously.) after Tim went to jail, they restarted the game and tried again
3:19 The covered statue that moves in the reflection isn't just a reality bend, there's only 2 statues behind her when she turned around, the third was only there in the reflection.

As Tim is driving off in the cop car at the end, they show the house from afar over a woman with dark hairs shoulder. I can't imagine that's done randomly, it looks like either Gillian or the supposed girl the dad was having an affair with. Still, this movie seemed so different to me, creeps me out, and btwn this and conjuring, are the horror flicks I've watched a handful of times.
This is one of my favorite movies. The ending makes me so freaking upset though LOL I wanted a happy ending, but I think the movie is actually better and more interesting this way. Still pisses me off though lol
Same thought
Saaame. Thematically I like the ending but I hate it. I think most humans want the feel good happy ending
Fun fact: the “kill switch” is just a small boat anchor.
Also though, if the mirror can’t trick cameras then my not just look through a camera all the time? Outlast style
I forgot what happened because the last time I watched it was like a year ago but anyways something happened with the mirror and then after they found the cameras facing the other way
The mirror would probably just make you destroy the camera.
The mirror can’t influence the camera but can influence what you SEE on the camera. Thus, even if you are always looking through a camera, it can just trick you into seeing what it wants. Only after someone examines the film outside the influence range can you confirm what was shown.
Should have broke the mirror when it was still covered up! Right after the auction.
a sequel would have been great
Totally! With Karen as the main ghost! Would be so cool
I love your channel so much. It makes me so happy to see uploads.
I don’t think the mirror is altering reality, more like it can mess with people’s perception of reality so long as they are within its effective radius. It’s not “reality bending,” just screwing with your comprehension of reality
Very strongly agree
They should have put the mirror in the house, walked out immediately and bought some explosives, and then exploded the house from 50 feet away.
But how would they be able to leave since they were already in within thirty feet of it
@@jacthing1 My idea would be to request the auction house drop it off in the house then come in with a drone controlled from miles away . Screw recording what it does, the brother already moved on. just destroy it
@@azekielfenton2082 Or shoot the damned thing 30 meters away. I don't get how background characters and secondary characters weren't affected, the mirror could have easily made some mess with the whole police in the house.
Yea but they might think they left but they prolly got faked and they'll die to
@@skullcrusade3436 The mirror has to be smart with who it affects or else it probably would have been destroyed a long time ago. It's got to strategically pick who it goes after in order to create the right situation.
