How to activate rekordbox 6 license key

- There have been a few rekordbox users wondering how they can find the license key for their purchased rekordbox 6 plan. In this short video from Blake Moussa (Jands Support Specialist) we show you where you can find it!
In early 2020, rekordbox had advised a new version was coming soon (now rekordbox 6) & the existing licensing scheme (i.e. with license key) will no longer be purchase-able after the new version is released. You will need to download rekordbox 6 if you're after a new plan. rekordbox.com/en/download/
If you have recently purchased a plan (core or creative) you can activate/deactivate your computer on My Page in rekordbox.
Activate:
Click [MY PAGE] and turn on the [ON/OFF] button to the right of [Activate this computer] on the [PLAN] tab.
Deactivate:
Click [MY PAGE] and turn off the [ON/OFF] button to the right of [Activate this computer] on the [PLAN] tab.

I just got a DDJ-400 and it came with the licensing key but where do I enter that key in? Does the key give me the paid plans for free? I already created a rekordbox account but it never asked me or gave me the option to enter in my licensing key.

Just got DDJ400 and I can't do that because i have free plan. also i can't use my lisence key cause i don't have the option in the settings. very confusing any help pls

I recently spoke to the guys at pioneer and it’s not really satisfying because I think I have a bit of advice.
For me it still shows that u should select a plan on the tab “your page” but if you have a controller like the ddj1000 connected to the laptop, u get to use the full version of recordbox without entering a license key. I don’t know how it works with the ddj400 or other devices but If u but the full version of recordbox with the controller, it should work without putting in the license key.
Very strange still and I hope the add the feature somehow. Hope this maybe helpful.

Quick question…What plan comes with DDJ-1000? Does it come with everything or do I have to purchase a plan?

HI...so i bought a brand new Pioneer DJ XDJ RX3 ..I'm very new at this...how do i connect with my Apple PROBOOK laptop on RekordBox ..i plugged my laptop USB to MIDI DJ XDJ RX3 (is that correct?) I created an account & downloaded REKORDBOX END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT....but nothing seems to happened ...i tried to unlock the hardware ..i also registered my X3 with the its serial number...HOW DO I GET STARTED...can you please help guide me in the right direction ...

What do i do with my licence key for my ddj400 it doesnt work and i see everyone here is saying that that key is for ver.5 rekordbox
But what do i do then with this key? Do i get the whole version of rekordbox without the licence key?

You can use the key with rekordbox V5 (download on their page), for a newer version you have to download V6.
So what do we do with the license key ? Does this license key work in rekordbox 5 instead

I bought the xdj xz and it came with a key where do I put that key. I've tried your steps and it's saying purchase. There isn't a option for key

That sorts that out. But now when I click on plan, all I get is 'FREE PLAN' and 'SUBSCRIBE TO A PLAN' underneath. Help please

you need Rekordbox version 5. not compatible with version 6.
Did you sign in with the right account email address? have you purchased a plan?

Verification email doesn’t work. I can’t install anything or use anything. Rekordbox has no help either.

You simply plug it in & select performance mode

you don’t need it for a version 6 so i have been told. I just downloaded version 5 because apparently it’s rubbish you just type it in on google hope that helps xx
look for License tab (pic of key) under Preferences
ddj400 licence format NOT accepted on Pioneer log in page. Hopeless

What can I do if I’ve lost my license key
Please note that with the release of Rekordbox 6 certain controllers/mixers hardware unlocks the software automatically - so the license key is no longer required. The license key can only be used for ver 5.x.x

If you still wanna use rekordbox v5, head over to PDJ support & confirm account email address, send a pic of the serial on the controller and send over copy of receipt of purchase.

You need to make an account to use the software.
