Great video. Agreed, the Rep PR-5000 + Ares is amazing! I love mine. Down in my basement, training for gains every single day. Every time I drive by my old commercial gym and seeing the full parking lot and how busy it is, I feel so lucky to have my own home gym.

How does getting set up for squats feel on this? Looking at the base cross member not sure how set under the bar you could get without your feet hitting the cross member with the footplate.

Love the video. I noticed that you had the TuffStuff CXT200 in the corner which you sold, I have the option of buying the same unit second hand with the included CXT 225 Smith Machine for 3,500. Do you think the Ares would be a better option since it almost comes out to the same price?

So how much would it be for the 1.0 out the door with 30+16 rack? Iam really considering selling my titan selectorized lat pull down, my inspire FT and my manticore rack.

Debating between ares and droping in my rhino into rack to condense a little bit in home gym.. i have selectorized lat pull down, selectorise ft, rhino belt squat, titan x3 wall rack, ir sauna, echo rogue bike etc...
Waiting for isolator too.
I tought about combining all the pieces into ares but i dont know if i will like it since it will be hard for my wife and i to workout togueter. We do different workouts. Also i like to superset a lot and dont wanna be moving all kinds of stuff around for the next exercise. Somebody else told me its hard to supperset in ares🙄🙄

People been telling me it's hard to supperset with ares/rack? Also if ur working out with another person and the other person doing different workout wouldn't it make it hard since one person will be using pretty much the hole rack/gym?
I’ve worked out with 2 other people and incorporated supersets. No issues at all! Very efficient.

Do you find that you get a full extension with just Flys? Or is the rack too narrow for that?
No issues for me! I was unsure before setting it up, but hit high/low chest flys yesterday and felt a great stretch/contraction with each rep.

Can you use the ares alone as a half rack?
REP has a smaller rack size option that has an even smaller footprint.
Love my Ares. Expensive but does everything I need.

I sold my Rogue rack for a PR-5000 and Ares in the 16” and 30” configuration with the same multi pull up bar. Only my color is different from yours.

Is there enough clearance to use the fat grip on the multi pull bar if it's facing the inside portion of the rack? I was thinking of ordering the 41" to have more space for pull-ups.
Do you feel the Rogue rack was higher quality than the Rep one?
You're aggressive hand movements are going to hurt someone, but seriously - Isn't this rack too narrow for cable chest fly's for anyone 5' 11" or taller?
I’m over 6 foot and it isn’t too narrow. Gets the job done and incorporate them all the time.
What’s the minimum ceiling height that you would need for the 93” ares?
Interested to know this as well - I have 9ft ceilings and want to put the 93” configuration, but wondering if I’ll be able to do pull-ups with enough room (or if have to use multi grip bar upside down)
Rep told me you should have at least 3 inch clearance above rack for pulleys . My basement is just under 8 feet so I would have to go with 80” rack. You should be fine with 9’.
My unfinished basement is 95.5" from concrete floor to overhead floor joists. My 93" 5000 rack is 92.5" tall.
I put that rack in alignment with the floor joists so the centerline of rack is centered exactly between joists so that my head clears between joists for pull ups (Now if I could only do pullups...old shoulders). The fat bar of the multi pull up bar is 2" higher than rack uprights...so, 94.5". Plenty of room to grip the pull up bar (1 to 1.25 " clearance).
As far as the Ares addition, the highest point I could find is the pulley assemblies at 93.5". It is working out better than I could have dreamed.
So, if you have 95.5 inches or more height in an UNFINISHED CEILING basement, go with the "93" incher (In my opinion) If you don't need pull up ability, could get by with the Ares in a 94" high FINISHED OR UNFINISHED ceiling with 1/4 to 1/2 inch to spare. Disclaimer: My measurements are on a unit received in mid January 2024....only 3 or 4 days after I ordered it. I have no way of knowing what, if any, differences in dimensions could be compared to earlier or future production.
Did a recheck: actually the height of the 93 inch 5000 uprights is 92.25...not 92.5.

How easy is it to disassemble? I wanted to get one with the PR-5000 but will be moving in the next two years. Wondering how difficult it is to take apart everything
It’s their assembly video in reverse.
I’ve never disassembled it so I’m not sure, but the set-up was clear and concise. Just have another pair of hands to help! 🤙🏼
Did you get 30" deep? Why go with ares over athena?
Yes. Didn’t even consider the Athena. Go big or go home. 😅🔥
How the heck do you get ball stops back on the cables? I think my cables shrunk as I was putting them through the pulleys.
