She's a beaut Clark!
Coop! You dropping A reaction vid to this soon?
I was gonna buy this but the weight stacks don’t go up to 900lbs so I’m out.
@@DrDoke I believe you are joking... haha
They had you at “knurled handles” and “laser cutout”.
For real though, a solid, functional product/design.
(Very similar to something I’ve been designing myself, though I plan on building mine for about 1/1000th of the cost and having slightly more functionality.)
Can you guys make Iso Arm 2.0 that move as easily as the Ares. They are a pain in the ars to change positions.
Glad they confirmed the incline bench problems in the rack. Honest and answered a big question in my head.
I incline press at a 30 degree angle and if you also have a monolift, it probably won’t be an issue.
@@dejavu3655 41" rack solves this too. Or the 4 post Ares with spotter arms for minimal footprint and benching
Could likely make an attachment that brings the j cups out further!
@@sisufitness659 the iso arms with j-cups
Low key quality of life improvement with using the stickers on the weight stacks in the weight felt and not listing the stack weight. Great thoughtfulness there
Beat thing I'm loving about those 6 connection points is I can connect all my attachments and preset my heights before I begin my workout. Then zoom through it effortlessly
Looking good
please review this for us :)
Well Coop you said you wanted an ecosystem here it is…
Rogue really need to get their shit together this looks amazing 🔥
Rogue has that slinger and adjustable handle slide. Takes up the sides as opposed to Ares closing the back.
I’d love a full review on the area from coop
@@r.ramirez6745 rogues lat attachment has issues n only 2 modes, top and bottom. Must admit this takes the cake
I was going to buy a forceusa g15 bt theres 0 attachments from other companies that would’ve fit. (emailed their customer service its not a 3x3 beam)
I live in a shythole small apartment n i must say this takes the cake for me bt it depends on ur use case i guess
@@r.ramirez6745 yeah and it’s a piece of shit
Just sold me to REP Fitness….I just bought the PR5000 with the Ares!!
Nice work. The Ares looks amazing!
This attachment looks amazing! Great work.
Loved the petite comment…funny….good job Rep, your company has the heartbeat of serious fitness buffs.
been loving all of their products !! just wish they would show more love to the 1000-1100 series - STILL LOVE IT THO!
keep up the awesome work !
Perfect solution for my small 225 sqft home gym...dropped the order on Saturday for my PR5000 and ARES. Cannot wait!
Kudos for your honesty about the Incline.
Take my money!! :D really amazing stuff guys :) been waiting close to 2 years for you to expand over to England, but once that finally happens, I am really looking forward to making an entire whole gym primarily REP Fitness 🤩
Absolutely beautiful, dream power rack
This rack build looks incredible. Definitely bookmarking it for when I move into a new home with space.
Great video explaining pretty much all aspect of the cable attachment. I could be wrong, but using Gym Pins you might also be able to add additional weight to the stack.
Wow! I didn’t know about Gym Pins for adding weight until I just read this. Amazing. Thank you. 🙏😁👌
I live in Canada and the exchange is terrible but I need this set up in my life😄. It solves the footprint issue of 2 additional pieces of equipment, and any cable issue I'd have plus the best design I've ever seen. Keep up the great work REP.
Thanks Terrance! Working to make all of our equipment available there. I understand shipping/exchange is tough, but we can only control so much... as you know.
REP City baby. The new King's. Great Work
I ordered mine right when I got the email saying it was available. Looking forward to adding it to my garage gym.
Just ordered a PR 5000v2 and Ares. You guys are killing it with the new releases.
Thank you Mark!
I am drooling 🤤!
Now, I am motivated to clean out my garage to build out my gym!
This is too good to be true!!! I LOVE it!!!!!!
this is insane. I am buying this day one!!
Rep been killin rogue
Oh man this is awesome!!
I like it, I feel like the lat pull down pulleys should be extended farther out above your head so you are not being pulled forward into the machine but I still think it's a good product and in the running for what I am looking for.
Ordered!
It would be nice to get the pro series handles included with the Ares instead of the basic black plastic handles.
Very impressive, for incline benching you can get the Hoist 5167 bench if you don’t want to move where you bench. This should work since when it’s 75-degrees the back post is almost flush with the back of the pad giving you enough clearance with the weight stack. The smaller angles as it approaches being flat is achieved by the back pad sliding forward so the back post never needs to move.
The best part are the interior narrow cables that you can clip together to utilize a true 1:1 weight stack ratio, which is something no other functional trainer has. You can also unclip to work each side unilaterally, which looks great.
So with the hoist 5167 bech I will ne able to incline inside the 6 post rack or outside the 4 post rack even with ares in the way?
Thanks for the over view. REP is leading the way in new innovations for 2022! Looking forward to the trap bar and SSB.
Looks pretty awesome!
Good work! Product development isn't easy.
Thank you!
Just gonna wait for the plate loaded lat/low row upgrade. Looks great though!
Jesus that is awesome. Great engineering.
Thanks Tone!
Love it!
Ordered additional weight stack to seal the deal. Then 2 days later I actually ordered the Ares. Gonna be awesome
Going to be epic!
Please let the family know when the 1 Ares start shipping out so we can get excited
Couldn’t have picked a better time to start building a gym in the garage. LFG boys!
Id like to see the first 2 plates half-sized for really light shoulder rehab work, then regular size plates for the remainder. The stacks would then be an even 250lbs or 300 with the upgrade and provide some ease of use for rehab and women. 10lbs is close to the limit for many women for side shoulder laterals. So even though theres adder weights, there is no ability to have lower than 10lbs resistance
Or just offer “upgrade” plates of half-size for customers that want 2 or more 5lb plates at the top of the stacks.
Just meet Blake at gas station. Dude was cool as hell. Was an honor
Just ordered.
Looks like you have a great new product. I love that I can attach it to my current 4000 Rack. Any takers for my plate loaded attachment?
Hey REP, I would like to see how easy this is to adjust the weight pins with weight horns and plate storage attached. Also, I would love to see the ability to order the mountain cutout design in the shroud cover.
The selector pin sits exactly at the mid point of the 16" cross over. The weight horn center will be 8+1.5" or 9.5" from the Ares selector pins. An Olympic plate is around 17.72" in diameter and one half of that diameter would extend toward the selector pins. One half the diameter is 8.86", which is less than the 9.5" distance from the selector pin. At the widest part of the plate, it will be 0.64" of distance to the selector pin, however the plate is curved so really it would be that minimum distance at one point.
I'm really excited for this product, enough to ditch my rm6 if rogue doesn't offer a similar product soon. Like the back and forth between the guys in the video, didn't notice his rebuttal @ 8:43 until the third time watching.
One more thing. The ability to ad a pull up station, especially that SWEET GLOPE one would be great for for the stand alone 16” configuration. GREAT PEACE!
Any way to connect it to a leg extension on a bench they have? Leg extensions with plates isn’t as smooth as cable. Would be nice if they had a connection for leg extensions and leg curls
Why did I go with a rogue rack instead? This is what I’ve been waiting for!!!!
all this new equipment is dope. But give me that yoke!
This looks great! I will probably switch from Rogue to Rep rack for my next gym build.
Thinking the same thing. Rogue is falling behind.
Just bought a Rogue rack that I'm still waiting on for 3 weeks
@@Scrappyjr14 There is still time... ;)
Can’t this technically go on 90” Rouge Rack?
@@keredmieles Rogue racks are wider and also, Rep does not have a 90" rack Ares configuration (80" and 93"), so it is no either way.
Freaking awesome!
Will the land mine attachment work okay since it seems like it would need to be connected to the cross members rather than the uprights? Also, how cumbersome will it be to get attachments like j-cups/safeties/etc. on/off the front uprights with the cables running along those uprights? Especially wondering about this with the PR5000 where the cables run up the outside of the front upright - will this impact adding and removing these attachments?
Are there plans to make it work with a 24" depth on the back. Thinking that should help with some of the bench clearance.
If you do a 4 post rack with 16 inch cross members can you still incline bench?
Maybe you can make an extended J cup of not?
Question / Comment- After watching the video again and again it looks like the Rep Logo Crossmember on the PR4000 is different ! So will a NEW one come with the Ares ? I would like to see an installation video and I bet other buyers would too.
BOOM!!!!! Looks just monstrous!
I was already designing the "banana" in my head before they showed it. Glad that was thought through even though I do enjoy the time in my workshop.
You do metal work?
@@oaktree1626yeap just at a hobby level though.
@@runiniscrazy Nice. Always love seeing that at any level.
I was planning to put more in my roth ira before the 2021 cutoff but.... let's just say ORDER CONFIRMED 👍 😏
Great video and amazing attachment! Definitely love the idea of "banana"! I'm just thinking maybe you can design some kinds of adjustable arms attachment(similar to those on the FreeMotion machine), that will add width(or make it narrower) for the Ares and make it feels more like a typical function trainer?
This suggestion would take the Ares to the next level!
That would be great
How can you start your rep at the top with the ares using the belt squat since this is a selectorized version (snatch block and some chains?).this is why i wish you could do it plate loaded including the ability of fine tuning incremental weight 👍🏻
When are you guys going to start shipping to Canada?
So dopeee
Will you’re feet fit if you bench inside the rack since the low row feet attachment is there?
Is there any information regarding the lubrication of any of the equipment.
Is there enough room to rack/ squat off the rear post inside the cage? Or do you have to turn around and squat off front post?
So glad I looked into the ares before getting the lat attachment. My only concern is the compatibility between the banana and the low row? Any clarifications on this?
The low row has it's own piece that can be used for low rows but also a center attachment so you can use more single point attachments.
Love this!
Have a couple of questions!
1) The cables seems to get twisted sometimes, any solution to this?
2) My cables are not very smooth, feels "gritty", do you know what are the possible reasons?
Not compatible with the omni? Are there any plans for one that would work on that?
If we already have a 6 post pr-4000/5000, can we just buy the Ares by itself? Bonus points: I recently got a Lat pull down attachment for my 4000, but this is way better -- upgrade opportunity ? =)
thanks for the efforts with your reviews, much appreciated. I have a question for you regarding rack height. My basement space is 104" high, I'm looking at the Ares with the PR 5000 cage, it comes in an 80" and 93" height. Those using the rack are 5'10" to 6'1". Which would you recommend?
Can the front globe grip pull-up bar will work on ares
Would like to have seen someone square up for a squat inside the rack... seems like one might be head-butting the rails or kicking the weight stack
Make this available in Canada please!
I been thinking if it's worth to sell my prx rack, lat pull down machine and titan small tower cable machine for this? The plus is that I will have everything in one rack as opossum as I have it now
Can u guys do a video with 4 post rack and ares and all the attachments?? Don't want the 6 post rack
Man I wish you guys would ship to Canada!
Summer!
Stoked for this but when’s that Yoke getting released!?!
Soon! Within the next few months
@repfitness maybe this could be adapted to the PR1100 series 🙏 but instead make it a plate loaded Ares 😁
I just posted my rogue rack for sale lol I think it’s time to upgrade
July is over. Can't believe these will be shipping out in August
Great job by all the Rep Fitness engineers who designed the ARES System. BRAVO!! It's an amazing piece of equipment except for the D handle that came with the ARES System. That's the only negative thing about the ARES System for me.
The red pin which came with the ARES System broke tonight while I was working out.
Man, now I want to buy the rack so I can get the Ares
When will preorder start? Take my money !!
Today!
Again GREAT PEACE! Will your AB 3000 FID be able to be used for pull ups with the leg rollers towards the Ares. I’m thinking super sets of pull downs and decline sit ups. In a multi user environment not everyone will be happy putting their head where someone else’s butt was just sitting. Yes, I know some might be into that sort of thing! Looking forward to owning both peace’s in place of the Rogue pull up. Footprints and cost are close enough but with MUCH more utility!
Holy shit this is amazing
When would it be available for purchase?
can the logo rack still be in the rack
@REP can you show someone performing the lat pulldown with the 16"x16" or 16"x24" variations? I have a hard time believing thats enough space for someone to comfortably perform the movement.
Very exciting Rep team. I look forward to adding it to my PR 5000 rack in the future! Can't pre-order now. But should supply of it be fine late 2022 and into 2023 after August?
Also, what is the reasoning behind 2:1 ratio? Is 1:1 ratio achievable but there is a reason to not do that?
Hey Mike! We just know people really wanted to get their order in now. Supply chains are crazy these days, and as we sell out quantities, we'll put another date up after August when the next batch will be ready. (Our engineers can better answer this, but if I recall correctly... 1:1 can't be done with a moveable pulley system)
What's smaller than the petite build?
How easy is it to disassemble? I wanted to get one with the PR-5000 but will be moving in the next two years. Wondering how difficult it is to take apart everything
Would have been nice to see examples of range of motion on a 80" Rep rack PR-5000
Yea forsure because i also have iso arms in the front so id like to see how much play and adjustments.. Now im just gonna have to wing it and find out later in August smh..
80 inch rack those iso arms prob gotta go
@@bigvin29 we’ll see, i love having the iso arms.. i waited a year for this as well.
Hey guys
O would like to have the ares attachment with the pr 5000 full optional but i cant combine them on the website how come?
Cheers
When is version w coming out (with the low row being a little higher)
What is he using for a seat with the lat pulldown? Mine arrives soon and I’m still not clear how I’m going to set up for a lat pulldown.
as a single cable stack has a 2:1 ratio which is perfect i´m curious if it s possible to get a 4:1 ratio out of it too ? maybe with a diy pulley added to it ?
Hard to answer the DIY question since people's creativity is crazy sometimes. I'm sure anything is possible and we'll see some pretty amazing stuff from our customers.
So, it's now the end of August, when is it shipping?
I know it’s a late question but you said it works with the belt squat attachment. Does it still work with the cable catch so you can start the belt squat at the top position? I know the first plates will be raised before you can add more weight. Is there a solution?
My big concern is can you still do lat pulldowns using a normal bench if you have an 80” rack? It doesnt look like that would be possible
We'll be showcasing a lot more info in the weeks/months coming. Collecting a lot of this type of feedback so we can showcase it in videos/photos.
Will there be an Ares for the Omni Rack?
Damn, I just installed my Lat/low attachment on my rack. Would have much rather had this one. Dang.
