I’ve got this board paired up with a 3900x and a 3090 Ti. Love it!
That dual bios is nice and the clear C/Button is a must, And at least bios flashback
Great job Thiago! 👏
I've been upgrading my system over the last couple of months and I bought that very board used, to support my new 5950x (which replaced a Ryzen 3 3100). So far, I really like it. The board I had would run the 5950x after a bios upgrade, but the VRM's were not up to the job.
Nice! It’s very capable motherboard
@@ClassicalTechnology It's doing everything right so far. The 5950X is running (air cooled) at 4.65 GHz on one CCX and 4.6 on the other, and hits just barely north of 31,000 in Cinebench R23.
I've had this board for a few months after switching from the NZXT N7 because it had issues with the NVMEs I got. So far I've had a good time with it. Can't overclock ram as well as the N7, but it can handle the NVME drives better. I just ordered some custom armor for it to give it that clean black/white aesthetic.
Interesting. I'm upgrading my PC (getting parts as we speak) and one of the Options for MoBos is the N7 (B550). What kind of drive do you have?
I am having some issue with Random Reboot with this motherboard about to return to Amazon. I tried everything I know what could cause random restart and nothing works. Asus dark hero.
I have a C8H and a Dark Hero. Lovely boards. Ironically I have a 3600x in the DH and a 5950x in the C8H.
hey i need help, whats the best CPU the x570 hero can take , an upgrade from AMD Ryzen 7 3rd Gen - RYZEN 7 3700X, i want to get a ryzen 9 CPU but i have no idea if the mother board supports it
A large majority of these as well as the dark hero have a major issue when trying to put into sleep or hibernate. Requiring a PSU reset to resume. Had to change mine after a few months to MSI X570s
just ordered the hero for 300, gona slap a 5950x in and call it a day!
How is this working for you? I'm thinking on upgrading to this motherboard and same CPU as well.
got it for $130 on ebay
I have this motherboard and i have problems with Sound. In Crome, RUclips plays song and i only hear a 2.0 sound. In settings is all set to 5.1 🤯
Curious. What are your thoughts on sticking a 5800X3D, 32GB 3600 CL16, a KC 3000 2TB and a 7900XT on one of these?
Was debating on getting this or the gigabyte x570s aero G but wasn’t sure
does it matter which m.2 slot i use?
Is there a thunderbolt version by chance?
so getting a dark hero for 449 USD before tax is good?
"How Many USB ports do you want?"
Asus: Yes.
I have this board guys just remember the VRMs are rated 60A the new ones are 90A
overall this board is very well priced considering the specs and use case for most people.
Hi, I've been using the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WIFI) motherboard for a year now and was wondering if the Dark Hero motherboard also from Asus would be any different than the Crosshair VIII Hero (WIFI) board and whether I should consider buying the ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero board?
Still got my in a box from 2020 covid time from BestBuy outside pick up.
Got it for Cyberpunk 2077. Lol, lol i didnt build it for that. Decided maybe to get it ready for Starfield and hope that doesnt bomb. Glad it can take Ryzen 9 cpu. 😁
I currently have a 5800x3d on an old x370 board with 3200mhz RAM, combined with a 4090. Would it be worth it for me to switch to Dark Hero now to get pcie4 and a bit more oc potential? Idk if my RAM should also be faster.. maybe I should upgrade to ddr5 + mainboard right away....
Watch Gamers Nexus video on the 4090 with gen 3 vs gen 4. Unless you're gaming at 1080p (wasting the 4090), you're only losing about 2% performance with gen 3. It's not something anyone would be able to notice while gaming. Your money would be much better utilized just getting faster RAM, though even that isn't really necessary. 3600 is the sweet spot for Ryzen 5000, though faster won't hurt. Timings are just as important. Look for sticks with CL16 or lower. Enjoy your beast of a gaming machine.
your current motherboard is bottlenecking your components, drastrically
It just upgraded to a 5900 X and A8550 as rockboard I love Israel they have been giving support to X370 for a while now.. If ashrock's support wasn't so good and their motherboards weren't so good I would definitely be using I would definitely be using ASUS.. They were always my go to board until I got my hands on the X370 taichi.. Now I'm on AB550 PG Velocita.. I've been on it for like 2 months now seems like a really good board Nice mid end mother board.. But I love a ASUS boards n monitors.. ASUS Is usually always puts out a good/great product..
Why do people keep saying things like "prices are more expensive". Prices are not expensive. They are low or high or average. Products and services are expensive.
Guys, maybe i am stupid, so help the stupid. I am getting build up with this motherboard, and I have 240hz Alienware monitor, yet, i dont see DisplayPort or HDMI port, how do you guys connect your monitor with high refresh rate to this motherboard??
You plug the displayport into your gpu not the mobo
wtf. When did Thiago job the team?
I’ve been writing for them since last year! And now on here, too
Creator motherboard has thunderbolt for under 300 dude. It's also amd. Learn more.
