This song will always remind me of my Mom. Driving through the streets of Philly when I was a young boy back in the 70's. She has dementia now & doesn't know who I am. And that is a very hard pill to swallow. But this song reminds me of a time when my Mother loved me & she knew I was her son. Heartbreaking. But I find joy in the songs we sang together. Thank God for the little things that mean everything. ❤
Very sorry to hear that. I went thru the same thing with my Mom many years ago. What causes it? It was awful but my wife and I survived it. It is now just a sad memory.
Me and my Wife separated and I had to bring up our girls because she had an opioid addiction. She would call me up and play this song many times. The day she passed away I went into my job to let my Boss know and this song was playing on the store's radio station. That floored me. This song will forever be in my Heart ❤️

I remember I was staying with my Mom and Step Dad in Minnesota for couple months until moving back to Arizona. My mom gave me a ride to the airport and it had already been a few years since I seen her so it was emotional for her and I that I was leaving and as we pulled up to the airport where she was dropping me off this song came on the radio and it made me sad realizing how perfect the song was for the moment I gave my mom a hug and told her I love her and I'll see her again soon. My mother ended up passing away several months later. I never got to see her again :( Love you Mom.
Enchanted planter, you broke my heart with this story, sad, very sad. But, if you believe in Jesus, you’ll see her again! Have hope and God bless you. (This is my favorite song)
It was late November, I was stationed with the US Army in cold Taegu, Korea; my wife and new born son were back in the states. We were blessed with AFN radio at our base, and in the evenings the radio jockeys would play song favorites. This was back at the end of the VN conflict, so a number of soldiers were newly stationed here alongside myself. This song would come on the radio, just before turning out the lights and hitting the rack, and the memories of home and wishing so much just to be back there in the arms of my wife and son. Hearing this again still tugs at my heart. This is among the top 10 songs of all time in my long life of 74 years.
The music of the 70s Its part of the soundtrack of all of our lives. I hear this now entering my 62nd year. I don’t believe we knew what we had back then. To all the artists that gave us this gift, Thank you so very much

This wonderful song brings back some bittersweet memories to me. I'm now 63 yrs old. I should've married that sweet, wonderful, beautiful girl. I still think of her.
Yeah,me too. I left home in '73 and moved to the big smoke. This song and many more from that era bring back wonderful memories. Ahhh, the seventies. Best decade, by far.
This song was released in 1974. At the time I was a professional guitarist working with Baltimore based band Sunshine we just finished a six night gig in Rehobeth Beach Delaware. The other bands members headed back to Baltimore but I was currently living in Forest Hill Maryland outside of Bel Air. Like many other people I fell instantly in love with this song. As a musician I initially locked in on the beautiful production and rhythm section featuring a Fender Rhodes piano bass and drums then of course the melody and lyrics and of course beautiful vocals. That time and song were forever locked in my memory. We were currently playing a lot of soul music coming out of Philly.
I think of my mom who died in 2015. She loved this song. But she had MANY songs she liked. She loved songs from the 60's, 70's & 80's. She was a Motown fan too.
This song reminds me of my father, he passed away 2 years ago, i remember him singing this song laying on my couch with his eyes closed, man i miss you Daddy 😢😢Farris forever BUD
Me too- I had just got my driver's license- and this song came on the radio on the way home from high school with my new girlfriend- and she looked me square in the eye and sang with the song- "Are we in love- or just friends?"
I remember this song on the radio when I was a junior in high school. I had just gotten my driver's license and I was driving my then girlfriend home from a date. We sat a little closer when this song came on. We didn't date long but I this song always reminds me of her and that night back in 1974. Just a great memory.
I don't know the very first time i heard this song, i was 10 years old in 1976 and this song was very popular on radio stations back then when i was a young boy in Haiti where i was born and raised. And everytime i hear this song it brings my childhood back to life and a lot of joy and happy times. And sometime i just wished i could go back to those childhood days. This song is very dear to my heart, i could listen to it hundreds of times and never get tired.
Growing up I listened to this song through my dad. He'd put his cassette and we'd sit down and listen. Finding this song today reminds me some old memories. Keep resting in peace Dad
The first time I travelled to Mexico in 1980,I met a man that was so what I was wanting. I omly knew him for 2 weeks and I could barely make myself get on the plane to go home. When we were boarding this song played on the sound system. My friends had to literally hold me in my seat so I couldn't leave. I never saw him again but after 44 yrs. this song brings it all back. What could have been........
@@AnastasiaBeaverhousn I've been to where I met him in Mexico many times and asked people if they remember him or if they know where he went. Nobody knows. I believe in fate. I guess it wasn't meant to be😢
Yep, the music of the 60's and 70's was chock a'block full of great love songs and "message music". A great time to be young and listening to my little red AM radio.
This song makes me very nostalgic for simpler times, though the 70s seemed anything but uncomplicated back then. I was twenty-five when this song dropped. It brings tears to my eyes as so many of my friends have left this world. Ah yes, I'm an old man inhabiting a strange new world... Chuck
My amazing grandma who passed away just 2 days ago used to sing this to me when im leaving from a visit to her and i loved it. I love her. May God bless His mercy and forgiveness.
This is a great song. When music was a pleasure to listen to , we enjoyed it. The 50, 60, 70 ,and the 80. We're almost all good . I have 500 albums in this era. L P 's of course and 45's too. I even have a few 78's. I play them non stop.❤️🇨🇦
This song makes me smile and brings me to tears at the same time. I worked with a girl in a nursing home and we developed a great friendship. She was going on vacation to see her brother in Hawaii and we said this was "our song" and she later became my sister in law and we had some great times. Hers and my brothers marriage ended and we sort of lost touch but one of my daughters got a message from her on Facebook and she said, "ask your mom if she remembers " when will.I see you again? So for a while we got to talk again some and we always sang this song. She passed in 2021 and today when I saw this I had to listen and the smiles and tears came pouring out. It's really amazing how a song can do that. I'm waiting to see my old friend in Heaven one day. Thanks for this song.

those beautiful orchestration arrangements on this classic. were composed by Music Arranger/BOBBY MARTIN. Bobby was a TOP Music Arranger at Gamble and Huff's label. Gamble and Huff wrote and produced this track.
I wasn’t born until 1998 but I love this song and old music. My parents raised me on this song and this old music and I thank them for raising me on this music. This song makes me cry but it reminds me of good memories with my family and I salute them every day for everything they do for me. 😢
Amazing how many people find comfort in this lovely song after the painful loss of a loved one. A classic that says what we all think after loss: When will I see this precious person again? Classy ladies, timeless and beautiful lyrics
Absolutely timeless. There's a not many songs that nail the writing (Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff), arrangement, orchestration, and production. The right song sung by the right singers. A very strong Supremes vibe but done even better. God, I miss this kind of music.

Right on!!!
I was a child in the 70s when this song came out I always loved this song brings back so many childhood memories ❤
Find him ❤️
@@AnastasiaBeaverhousn I've been to where I met him in Mexico many times and asked people if they remember him or if they know where he went. Nobody knows. I believe in fate. I guess it wasn't meant to be😢
Some of the best feel good music came from the 70's. So glad I grew up at that time and got to hear it on many of the radio stations any time of day.
I so agree Andrew and am grateful to have been of age in Junior High School to remember.
Yep, the music of the 60's and 70's was chock a'block full of great love songs and "message music". A great time to be young and listening to my little red AM radio.
Me too.. I bought multiple CDs...so My music is always here
This song makes me very nostalgic for simpler times, though the 70s seemed anything but uncomplicated back then. I was twenty-five when this song dropped. It brings tears to my eyes as so many of my friends have left this world. Ah yes, I'm an old man inhabiting a strange new world...

Turning 52 shortly, and the beautiful memories of my Mom n Dad and their loving upbringing are priceless.

Rebecca, I’m just stuck in that period lately. So many beautiful memories and heartache…
My amazing grandma who passed away just 2 days ago used to sing this to me when im leaving from a visit to her and i loved it. I love her. May God bless His mercy and forgiveness.
Put the song on repeat and I sit and cry. The love of my life died.
Thank you Bobby Martin for such a superb arrangement!!! The Classic Sound of Philadelphia.
And Barry White too!
@@cactus-wren I could be wrong. but I thought Barry White's Music Arranger back in the 70's was Gene Page.
@@darrellmfume4020It was.
The seventies were calming and relaxing era now it's recollection with the songs past to present.
This is a true love song and should be enjoyed over and over
Had my heart broken in 74 back in Cambridge UK, this song always reminds me of that young lady. 'What may have been'
This is a great song. When music was a pleasure to listen to , we enjoyed it. The 50, 60, 70 ,and the 80. We're almost all good . I have 500 albums in this era. L P 's of course and 45's too. I even have a few 78's. I play them non stop.❤️🇨🇦
Mostly 45s, 78s and a small # of LPs with me. I still play them and will never get rid of them.
One of the most beautiful popular songs ever.
Winter of 74,am radio, all I did was listen to this song, most underrated song❤❤
Underrated NOT. The played the &^%$ out of it.
I was 14 in 1974 - this song takes me right back there - where have the years gone?
I was 8 in 1974, I am the same . This beautiful song on the radio. They were much better times.
I was 14 when this song was released in 1974 and it is such a big part of my youth 😊 thank you ❤
I had a long distance relationship in 1974. This song was simply special!
The greatest last song of the night ever.. I saw them live in Baileys, Derby, 31.10.74.. Incredible!!
Lucky you.
Their voices are so gorgeous. The minute they come in with "HOO-OOH!!! HAA-AAHHH!!" you're taken.
I used to hear this song, every morning before I go to school, Wednesday radio station 107.7 Bham Al, I love that song,
When music was still actually music, and beautiful.
Take me back to my teen years … in the mid 70’s just thinking about my very first bf when we broke up☺️that was the greatest music era for love songs❤and awesome song artist ever! #Disco era

This song will always be relevant
every line of this song is a new question.. that takes some doing, to structure a song's lyrics that way 👌👏

I love to hear the ladies sing the songs all the time Amen 🙏
I wasn’t born until 1998 but I love this song and old music. My parents raised me on this song and this old music and I thank them for raising me on this music. This song makes me cry but it reminds me of good memories with my family and I salute them every day for everything they do for me. 😢
Thanx, Girls.... will Always love this classic tune...Y'all have given us a LOT of great Music !
Great song, one of my favorites of the 1970's!
Amazing how many people find comfort in this lovely song after the painful loss of a loved one. A classic that says what we all think after loss: When will I see this precious person again? Classy ladies, timeless and beautiful lyrics
This song takes you back to Precious Memories! It will make you Cry! And later turn those Tears to a SMILE ❤
True.wish we could feel this way for ever.
Nothing like the hits that came out before you was born
Beautiful song sung by 3 Beautiful Ladies
Sanford and Son is the reason why I first time I see The Three Degrees, God bless The Three Degrees and Sanford and Son.❤️❤️❤️😥😥😥👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Who do we want? THE THREE DEGREES! One of my favorite S & S episodes.
Absolutely timeless. There's a not many songs that nail the writing (Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff), arrangement, orchestration, and production. The right song sung by the right singers. A very strong Supremes vibe but done even better. God, I miss this kind of music.
Loved hearing this in my mom's Ford Grand Torino.
I dedicate this song to my beautiful angel 😇 I miss you so much I know you are with the lord see you when I get there ❤️ always
So beautiful.. love and divinity shine through this song
How true... remember the good times...and forget the bad times...
Time always has a way to soften the hard times and always elevates the Good Times!!!💕
I posted this song by The Three Degrees in honor of Sunday's weather high in the Missouri Ozarks - Just 3 degrees. I haven't heard this great song by those three beautiful women for years!
