    Lyrics:
(I say a little prayer for you)
    The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup (Makeup)
I say a little (Prayer for you)
And while I'm combing my hair now
And wondering what dress to wear now (Wear now)
I say a little (Prayer for you)
    (Forever) Forever, (And ever) yeah
(You'll stay in my heart and I will love you)
    (Forever) Forever, (And ever) ever
(We never will part, oh, how I love you)
    (Together) Together, (Together) together
(That's how it must be to live without you)
(Would only mean heartbreak for me)
I run for the bus, dear
But while riding I think of us, dear (Us, dear)
I say a little (Prayer for you)
And at work I just take time
And all through my coffee break time (Break time)
I say a little (Prayer for you)
    (Forever) Forever, (Ever) Ever
(You'll stay in my heart and I will love you)
    (Forever) Forever, (Ever) Ever
(We never will part, oh, how I love you)
    (Together) Together, (Together) together
(That's how it must be to live without you)
(Would only mean heartbreak for me)
    Nobody but me
    (Forever) Forever, (Ever) ever
(You'll stay in my heart and I will love you)
    (Forever) Forever, (Ever) ever
(We never will part, oh, how I love you)
    (Together) Together, (together) together
(That's how it must be to live without you)
(Would only mean heartbreak for me)
My darling, believe me (Believe me)
For me, there is no one but you
    Please love me too
I'm in love with you (Answer my prayer)
Answer my prayer, baby (Answer my prayer)
Say you'll love me too (Answer my prayer)
Answer my prayer, baby (Answer my prayer)
And (Forever) Forever, (And ever) ever
(You'll stay in my heart and I will love you) Ever
    (Forever) Forever, (And ever) ever
(We never will part, oh, how I love you)
    (Together) Together, (Together) together
(That's how it must be to live without you)
(Would only mean heartbreak for me)
    For nobody but me
My darling, believe me (Believe me)
For me, there is no one but you
    Please love me too
This is my prayer (Answer my prayer, baby)
Answer my prayer now, baby (Answer my prayer, baby)
This is my prayer (Answer my prayer, baby)
Answer it right now, baby (Answer my prayer, baby)
Say you'll love me too (Answer my prayer, baby)
This is my prayer, baby (Answer my prayer, baby)
I'm in love with you (Answer my prayer)

An icon of 20th and 21st century music, the voice of the civil rights movement, and the undisputed Queen of Soul-there is only one Aretha Franklin. In her incredible six-decade career, Aretha evolved from teenage gospel star to reigning pop and R&B diva, recording classics like “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “Chain Of Fools”, “Think” (lyrics by Aretha Franklin), definitive versions of the songs “Respect” and “I Say a Little Prayer”, and global hits like “Freeway Of Love,” “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)”, and “A Rose Is Still A Rose.”
Altogether, 112 of her singles reached the charts, with 20 No. 1 R&B singles, the most ever by a female artist. She won 18 Grammy Awards (including the first eight trophies for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance) and, out of recognition for her for indelible contribution to American music and culture, received both the Presidential Medal Of Freedom and a Pulitzer Prize.

"The Longing of a Dafa Follower
Leaving behind the land of China, I’m exiled in the West
      Longing for my homeland
And thinking of the lady whom I love

Waiting for the Creator to save them back to heaven

Persecution brings everything back to the first wish
Oppression makes you worry for me, tormented and restless
Most people are Gods descended to the world to await the Creator
Atheism and evolutionary theory are deceiving people
Modern notions and conduct are dead ends with no way out
The meaning of life is to return to heaven
To tell the truth to all beings
To keep you away from troubles

Returning to where we started-what other choice have I
Persecution is ongoing, I wish not to bring trouble to you
Let us part, so you will not be hurt
For I want to tell people where life’s meaning lies
Most people are Gods incarnate, awaiting the Creator
Atheism and evolutionary theory are destroying mankind
Modern notions and conduct are errors in life
For the salvation of you and the world’s people
I want to spread the truth all over China and beyond
      December 23, 2018
      ***
      No Other Choice
I met you on the journey of life
      Love seeded in our hearts
Yet I am persecuted; to not bring you trouble
I left, for I had no other choice
Most people of the world are Gods incarnate
      Awaiting the Creator’s salvation
Atheism and evolution are false doctrines
Modern notions and conduct are harming us
      To spread this important message
I am persecuted, so we have to part

I don’t see the power of prayer easing her pain or Jesus. I still see her (the strongest person I know) break down in tears.
My exact words to the Jehovah that came to my door when my papa died, fuck off I’ve got no time for slimy wee gits who push their religion onto others and who think power of prayer cures cancer and pays bills and stops mass muerderes from murdering and politicians from fucking us over.

With all due respect to Dionne Warwick who recorded the original in 1964, Aretha OWNS this song. While Warwick's version was pure light pop (which was terrific, mind you), Aretha's version put solid unadulterated muscle and soul to the tune, elevating it from a mere popular tune to an unforgettable soul classic.

@@ritagrimanis6539 my parents were married for 65 years - right up until last august when our house burned down & we lost her. She was bedridden. i was on 2nd story & heard my dad outside calling out for help. This like other worldly anguished PRIMAL SCREAM was coming out of MY DAD. i still can’t think ab it. So i had to bust out a window to jump & my 86 YEAR OLD POP CAUGHT ME! .. sorry digressing. So before all this happened, my dad was my mom’s primary caregiver - per her request. After i taught him how to change an occupied bed he never looked back! Plus he ran the house! HE WORSHIPPED HER. He LITERALLY did everything humanly possible for her until he couldn’t. Ps NO ONE could get back in that house but he will never ever forgive himself for not being able to save her.💔 i am _positive_ that he is the last of his kind.😢 TY for allowing me to

I met her up close around 1981 at Radio City. She was so genuine that she didn't have to say a word, it exuded form her. If she came to your home for dinner and you lived in a hut, you could not stop her from cooking the meal and doing the dishes.

I'm a rock n roll kind of guy, but whenever anyone asks me who is the best singer, the answer is easy and always the same: Aretha.
It sounds effortless but so, so powerful. I've never heard anybody sing like that. It just goes straight to the core. Whatever it is.

I just love that Aretha leaves so much room for the "background" vocals and takes herself back; because this is a song for us all and that's the way it is arranged.

Every morning I take my wife her cup of coffee while she is still in bed. This morning she started singing this song while I gave her, her coffee kiss. I had not heard this song in many many years. I didn’t even know the words to it, but I did remember the tune because my mom played it on her console record player. I just told my DianaBaby, I got to learn that song. As soon as I left the bedroom, I looked it up, listen to it, read the lyrics and some of the comments and it touched my whole being. So here I am now, All I could think of was of how much I love her and everything that “Little Prayer” has done to my life. My love for you is the greatest Love of All, and i will also say A “Littel Prayer” for you, Dear God, let us continue to love one another For Ever and Ever. Amen

My mother passed one month and two days ago. Very suddenly at the end of her fifties. As a child she always played this song for me and sang along with it, especially in the car to school or for outings. She was incredible. I am sorry that you also know this pain. She was also the love of my life and I of hers, and she always made sure to tell me that. People in your family can be that - it does not have to be a romantic thing at all and not enough folks understand that.

No doubt, there are many talented singers in this world. But Aretha Franklin stood out from the crowd because she was not only talented, this woman had a gift from God.
No wonder she was the first female inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.
No wonder the Queen of England called upon her, to give a command performance.

This song has been performed by some great singers but the depth of emotion I feel when the Queen sings it has no comparison. The simplicity of young love is in her voice when she sings it. She is not trying to make it sound pretty or perfect. It is the simplicity of the love in her as she sings it that makes it pure perfection. God bless the Queen and Burt Bacharach forever.

Being exposed to all different types of music is an open book to a healthy mindset. Why would you limit your social scope musically? Unhealthy in this day and age. Ijs.
