This whole record is just a masterpiece. Streisand's voice was at its prime, coupled with Barry Gibb's songs and production skills, just one of the best records ever from 1980, what IMHO was the peak of popular music... It was an interesting mix on the Top 40 then, lots of soft rock like this, but still a bit of Disco holding on, some hard rock, New Wave starting to come on the scene, and lots of just great pop records in that year.
I learned this from a preacher : people are afraid of the mountains in front of them , that they have to climb . But they forgot about the mountains they already climbed .

Being a black man I have to say not shamefully that I love this song. I loved it since 1984, at age 5 when I first heard it. I was visiting friends in Piscataway, New Jersey. With Barbara Streisand, I like the songs "Guilty" and "Woman In Love" the most. I like listening to mostly black artists, but Barbara is one of the white artists I enjoy.
Many of the finest soul songs have become great country music, or started that way. It's worth remembering that "How do you mend a broken heart" was written by the Bee Gees and made sublime by Al Green.
I'm 50 right now. I mean how the time passed like that? My parents used to hear this song when I was little and they were probably younger than what I'm right now and now look at me listening and thinking about those times that won't never come back 😢. Being a black man I have to say not shamefully that I love this song. I loved it since 1984, at age 5 when I first heard it. I was visiting friends in Piscataway, New Jersey. With Barbara Streisand, I like the songs "Guilty" and "Woman In Love" the most. I like listening to mostly black artists, but Barbara is one of the white artists I enjoy.

I'm 50 right now. I mean how the time passed like that? My parents used to hear this song when I was little and they were probably younger than what I'm right now and now look at me listening and thinking about those times that won't never come back 😢. At least I had a beautiful childhood, but it hurt all the good people are not around anymore 😢
