To the person that reads this, I ask the Lord to bless them and their family, to cure them of every sickness and pain, to fill their emptiness with love joy and peace, to rebuke the enemy from their lives. " ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND SAVE YOU, AND TO FORGIVE YOU OF YOUR SINS, FOR WE GIVE THANKS AND GLORY TO THE LORD. IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN!
Amen wonderful statement.

67 year old white male. Grew up in a multi racial town. Motown ruled, dominated and determined a ton of goodness. Everybody danced at every celebration. These ladies were exemplary and talented beyond measure. Can't think of another musical era with so many trail blazers and talented musicians!!!!!!! The list is endless. 4 Tops, The Temptations, Barry Gordy, Supremes, Smokey, Marvin , and on it goes. I am grateful for their talents all these years later......
We are all grateful for the sounds of Motown 👍
Spot on from coventry England xx
63 years young, colorblind white male here. The disco days were the best for me, everybody gettin' out there and groovin' and gettin' free!! MEMORIES!
Absolutely!
I'm 67 as well, born in Detroit...grew up in royal oak, I too...was a witness to the motown songs of the 60s and 70s, I won't trade if for anything
I am a 60' baby, still listening to this song in 2024, one of favourite, my finances live in the USA and I lives in London we are planning to get married and some day be together
I'm a 60 baby????? WHAT does that mean??????????
I love this song! Back in the "world" I was struggling with the post Nam War dreams real bad. In 1971, I got into my Bonneville and drove away from my family on base. I popped a Motown 8-track tape in and this song came on. As the lyrics cut through my PTSD I was able to turn my car around and go back home. Again, that was in 1971. In 2023, my family and I are still "TOGETHER"💞
❤🎉god bless us all
Thank you Brother!!❤
To God be the glory. Sending light and love your way 🙏♥️
Beautiful
Aww how sweet😂
My mother sung this song to me in July 1970 when my great-grandmother died. I remember looking at her with tears streaming down my 9 year old face asking her was she sure I’d see granny again. Smiling she said yes. When my father died some years later, l dusted it off and sung it to my inconsolable mother. She remembered what she told me. She smiled. Years later l dusted it off a final time and had it sung at my mother’s funeral. 😔 This is the first time I’ve allowed my self to listen to in 22 years. Still hurts. So, so sad. -RIP Mama

Yes great classic, I love!🌹
Same here!
This is a Diana Ross song, NOT a Supremes song. Actually, it is Diana's first solo single after leaving The Supremes (solo, except for the 'ad libs' of Johnny Bristol), with the Waters sisters as backup singers. . It was released as a Supremes song, though.
This song will rock through out the aions of time

Just in case you didn't know, the owner of this channel, mosogotam, whose real name is John Perrone, sadly passed away April 5, 2020 from COVID-19. He was an absolute genius for this and all the other wonderful tracks he created. May he rest in peace.
John Perrone was indeed a genious at making the best music even better .I often revisit his work and cannot emphasise enough just what pleasure it has brought to me and to many others I suspect .This one alone more than 22,000,000 hits. His channel has grown enormously particularly in the last year and always replied to the many compliments that were bestowed on him before his sad passing..
Awe may John rest in peace 🕊️..sad 😥😭 news.

@@all4one06 Of course, Malcolm. I actually did not know him well, but communicated with him numerous times through these comments sections on his videos, and a friend of mine in the music business knew him a little bit as well. But I was just thinking that people might be coming here and wondering why he hasn't posted anything new lately, because he's posted so constantly in the past. And that's the reason why. Not sure if his family looks at this, but hopefully they will get the message of your condolences. Enjoy the gifts John has left to all of us!

Hello I am so sorry if this sounds weirds but you wrote such a nice and wonderful comment on here and like your comment. I can tell you're a very positive person. If it's okay with you I'd love to be friends
When I was 17 my 15 year old girl friend sung the chorus to me, I’m 76 still waiting for that “Some Day”
Right now someone you haven't met is out there wondering what it would be like to meet someone like you ! Take Care Ronald 🌞
Im a 60's child so i grew up on this. GO 60'S!
Hiram Clayborne me too!❤️
Me too,..... he!!!
Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard are walkin' around heaven all day singing a brand new song.
1960`s music in my heart - mum had a shop and we played the radio all the time - old valve amp - sounding fantastic with the supremes blasting , stevie wonder , dobie gray ,so many great colored people with exceptional talent - changed the world = thank you so much
I'm 70 years old this is the music of all time good I just love ❤️ it.
Motown will never never never ☺!!! .... be beaten! I love them all 💖💕💔💞👍
Karn Allsop totally agree Motown forever
Gordy put all the black artists on the map and there were numerous groups all great with their own sound and style. Black is beautiful
Yes your right
Karn allsop I couldn’t agree with you more! You are so absolutely right! Motown was the very, very best there was! The Motown Sound was extraordinary & loved every single group! I love them now just as much as I did “back then” & MOTOWN IS STILL AS DEARLY LOVED & listened to now, as well!❤️
I'm listening in October 2019 getting ready for 70th birthday in December and this will be played.
Good luck for it Barbara, I've just had mine !.

Love love love this song!!! 😍 🤗
Lmao wow it’s been that long does not seem like it haha I am only in my 20s and I enjoy this kind of music 🎶 my beautiful black queens of the universe
NOBODY could harmonize like these lovely ladies. And - unlike too many today - they had style and class.
Love this song I keep on waiting he will return someday.....
Rip Mary , your voice is still with us
i think she was the best i
Their is not one girl band on this planet could even come close to these ladies absolute quality and what Voices and harmony just brilliant.
exacto
Just think how much bad has happened since we were just enjoying listening to these beautiful ladies & dancing to their songs. What a class act. I am thankful I lived in this era & not the current one!!!
WHEN FLORENCE BALLARD WAS FIRED,THE HARMONY CHANGED . CINDY BIRDSONG COULD NOT REACH THOSE HIGH NOTES LIKE FLORENCE COULD. SO I HEAR A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE GROUP WHEN CINDY BIRDSONG CAME IN. FLORENCE HAD A BIGGER VOICE CAN REACH HIGH NOTES. CINDY COULD NOT DO THAT. WHEN FLO WAS FIRED,THE SOUND CHANGED A BIT. BUT I KEPT ON BEING A HUGE FAN OF THE SUPREMES RIGHT UP TO 1971. REST IN PEACE FLORENCE BALLARD, YOU ARE ALWAYS MISSED AND LOVED. YOUR BIRTHDAY IS JUNE 30,2020 REST IN POWER MY LOVE. HAPPY 77TH BIRTHDAY IN HEAVEN.
@@lawrencejosephjenzen Thank U so much! Enjoyed your input.
lawrencejosephjenzen Thank-you so very much Lawrence, for such interesting information on the extraordinary Florence Ballard!!! (May she Rest In Peace!) I too, loved her & wondered when& why she was replaced by Cindy Birdsong, never realizing that she was, in fact, sadly fired! I was a young teenager back then & so loved all their music. I have read what Mary Wilson has said(she was so amazing, too) & vocal about stating, it wasn’t right how Florence was treated! Thank-you so much Lawrence for your informative & very interesting comment. I so enjoyed reading more about this extraordinary group( I felt so bad for Florence not being in the group any longer )but didn’t hear anything about it, back then! Thanks for the info again & take care!❤️
I was very young when the Supremes recorded this song. It was the last song they sang as A group. It made me cry knowing that the group was breaking up. But I Love the song still after all these years. And the man singing in the background. Absolutely A classic. 💕💕💕💕💕
Lost my twin sis & daughter 2020 😭the loves of my Life!😒
This is a Diana Ross song, NOT a Supremes song. Actually, it is Diana's first solo single after leaving The Supremes (solo, except for the 'ad libs' of Johnny Bristol), with the Waters sisters as backup singers. . It was released as a Supremes song, though.
@@Baskerville22IT WAS JOHNNY BRISTOL, BUT IT WAS NOT THE WATERS SISTERS WUTH HIM…IT WAS TWO OF THE ANDANTES…
@@jduwayne1 No. In 1970, a version was released, with Wanda Young Rogers ( previously lead singer of The Marvelettes) with backing vocals by the Andantes.
@@jduwayne1 The Andantes sang backing vocals on the 1970 version by Wanda Young Rogers (previously of The Marvelettes). Julia and Maxine Waters definitely sang the backing vocals on the Diana Ross version.
Pure class
RIP Mary Wilson 😥🙏

But still beautiful. Wii never happen again
You're right, it seems a different life all together.Well, I guess for most of us it was.Sure wish I could go back to those simple days, if for only a day.

Hello Roslyn 👋🏼 how are you doing there today ?
I hope to remain righteous with God and hope to remain together with my Mom and Dad and baby son Joseph in heaven . Also my wife and the rest of my familia.
Can't stop listening to this and music from the era. I'm nearly 60 and I feel young again when hearing the simple, elegant voices of Diana Ross and the Supremes
Philip Gibbs I am 70 & feel the same way hearing this! The yrs peel back, once this song starts to play & once again it miraculously is the “60’s again!” 🤣 The music, the times, the friends..... a simpler time when your life & millions of choices/options stretched out endlessly! You felt like you would be young forever! My happy teenage yrs!!!!❤️
Know exactly what you are talking about!
I have always remembered this magnificent song as a youngster. During that time, and even now, it is simply beautiful.
My mother used to play this when I was a kid love you Mom's rest in peace ❤️🙏🏽
