  • If you're looking for a JDM car in the Texas area look no further with over 400 units in just this one location not including the other cars at AUSTIN JDM we saw in the last video. Texas JDM is one of the biggest importers in the United States and I think the safe to say the search for my next JDM car will end here 👀

    We live in Asia about 6 months a year….and we use a multi cab almost daily. If you do any work, they are unbeatable! The 3 cylinder engines are workhorses too. Im glad to see America finally importing them.

    Japanese people really take care of their rides. Being a valet for over a decade, I noticed this. Always clean, immaculate and smelled that way. I would be proud to be the new owner of one of these Kei cars and definitely keep it as clean as my predecessor had.

    Texas JDM reminds me of the end of the movie Used Cars. They had a "mile of cars". I love that Texas JDM goes through the vehicles to get them caught up on maintenance with oil change, air filter, fuel filter if needed, new tires, battery, etc. My 1996 Hijet needed all of that stuff because the previous owner wasn't going to put time and money into a truck they were selling. I love that the Texas JDM mechanic takes care of all of that and leaves the part numbers for the filters for the new owner.

    Texas JDM is a great place to buy a car. I bought my Honda Orthia from them two years ago. Glenn treats you like family, we even went to grab some tacos for lunch. There was a mix up on the engine size (posted as a B20 but car came with a B18) and Glenn immediately apologized to me and told me he would pay for my return flight if I no longer wanted the car. I’ve been to countless JDM importers in California and Texas and no one has provided a better service than Texas JDM.

    The Nissan Mistral was actually produced by Nissan Europe in Spain. In Europe it was known as the Terrano II and also licensed to Ford and also sold in Europe as the Ford Maverick. These cars were imported into Japan from Spain.
    The round stickers in the windscreen are not the 'shaken' but the yearly vehicle check that is different to the 'shaken'. The 'shaken' sticker is the square sticker in the centre of the windscreen. There are new rules coming out about the placement of the shaken sticker as modern cars tend to have radar, cameras etc behind the rear view mirror making central placement impossible. The proposed position is top right. Right in the view of the driver and this is causing a bit of a stir here in Japan, so the new rules are being postponed as the relevant ministry 'further consider'.

    I'm more of a Euro spec guy but JDM stuff is cool too. We're lucky we can get brand new 2022+ Kei Trucks and vans as offroad vehicles. In some states you can register offroad vehicles for road use. Now can we just abolish the 25 year rule so I can get a Renault Megane RS Trophy R?

    So I haven't followed the JDM import scene that closely to know all the details. Therefore I am wondering why they would import a 2022 model vehicle if they will have to hold on to it for 20+ years on the lot before they are able to sell them in the states? I love the size and usability of these vehicles and am always disappointed that we don't have them available here in the states.

      Those 2022 models are sold for farms and UTV or ATV use, Hunting vehicels as well

      Do you mean there is no regulation for “private use” as in you can drive them in your property but not allowed on roads? Or something? I’m curious and mad I don’t have a farm!

      @PlatinumNath 6 месяцев назад

      @@GGFrankensteinfrom what I read of other's comments, you can buy the cars younger than 25 if you only use it offroad and/or in private property... If your state allows the cars to be around in the first place.
