Bro you hit the nail on the head with the “my car is faster” comment. I don’t care how fast a car can go, I care about how much character and identity a vehicle has to reflect the personality of the driver.
Exactly and those "faster" mods are usually the most expensive and start to affect the reliability. Us kei people don't have to worry about that

these trucks are like the golf cars of trucks, and on farms theyre very useful.
In my country they don't really appreciate these trucks, they don't pay attention, but when I see your vids and other kei truck builds, it shifts my perspective every time I see them. Now i want one hahahah as a personal and everyday car.

The beauty that I see in them is their original functionality, reliability, cost & simplicity.
Those 4 things aren't taken into consideration in the US auto market.

That's why we can't import these trucks unless they're a few yrs away from being an antique.

Really like these trucks. If I had the money and was in the market, that lifted grey one is most definitely the way to go.

4:20 - You can get a lithium jump box that plugs into the cigarette lighter, quick charges the battery for a couple of minutes and it'll start the WBTF kei truck without removing the body panel to access the battery. It's also not too difficult to mount accessory posts (someplace safe) or add a high current connector that mates to jumper cables.

I LOVE the Red. I had our pickup reupholstered in Red with with black trim and stitching, to match the custom 2 toned paint, which is Factory Silver over Red metallic. It’s a beautiful older pickup.

Agreed, and some of the kei cars are 3cyl, 4cyl, DOHC, SOHC, Turbo, Supercharged etc

On the suzuki kei with the body kit, an easy maybe fix on the battery is to relocate it for easy change. Making a battery box in the bed would be nice maybe🤙🏼

4:20 - which tire-dimensions are the mudstars? and are they original 4x12 rims or different rims? also got some spacers?
Totally love all of this. My Suzuki Carry is left hand drive instead of right and extended cab. Its a blast to drive as it is so different than my one ton trucks and 1/2 ton trucks. I really think I have to paint it a hi-vis paint of bright red or yellow so I don't get run over.

they are now street legal in Texas so i am back to looking for one. but so far i think i was a sambar with A/C has to have a/c would like but dont have to have low range and a def lock.
Sambars are for sure a crowd favorite

Of the main off the boat trucks, which one is the best? Like which one looks the best, has the most aftermarket support, part availability, reliability, build quality etc? I’m going to be buying one, I have a couple ideas of what I want to do, but I think I want to do a body kit and paint it, I can paint cars myself I have a booth and guns and have experience painting. Which of the main trucks off the boat do you think is the best?
I think kei owners will have answers why each truck is the best. Really comes down to features & what exactly im using it for IMO.

Which brand is the most reliable? Has best torque and horsepower?
None are the most reliable but the fastest kei trucks would be the supercharged Subaru sambar or turbo Suzuki carry ( both are very expensive compared to normal kei trucks)
