    The Macan EV takes the small SUV to the next level, with its roomier cabin, impressive power and upgraded technology. What's another vehicle that you'd like to see get the electric treatment? Let us know in the comments below!

      well it's all most 140 thousands ....yet... Hyundai makes better car such as Inonic 5n with cost about 50 thousands ... now in electric car era.. German is not leading company any more among car industry.. lol
      well check this out .. first of all, Porsche’s electric cars have lower inductance than Hyundai/Kia cars, so the efficiency of regenerative braking is low. The reason why inductance control is important in electric motors is because output and power generation must be alternated. Therefore, there is no choice but to lose money in the Taycan’s driving range. In addition, the Macan EV’s regenerative braking is 0,4G. In order to control the heavy 2.4-ton body and the enormous output of 639 horsepower without any problems, you must purchase carbon ceramic brakes as an option. The Macan EV has a curb weight of 2.4 tons based on the turbo model, which is 200 kg heavier than the IONIQ 5 N. The 100kWh NCM lithium-ion battery mounted on the Macan EV is CATL’s NCM811 (made in China) while ionic 5n uses 9/half/half LG bettery pack which has much better performances

    I'd rather save the USD $4400 that is extra (via the ICE Macan) for the air suspension and the glass roof, and have neither (9:25). Both are very prone to breaking, leaking, etc., and they add extra weight, thereby reducing range. Let people who want those things to pay extra for them, and I'll be happy without them and saving my money (and gaining the extra range). I also wish that Porsche would let people get 19-inch wheels/tires standard in the Macan Electric, again to save money and weight/range.

      The EV trend is unstoppable. I am not an EV fan but Europe and Asia will tax and eventually ban ICE cars and manufacturers know this so they are switching their R&D money into EVs. America might try to hold out but the change to EVs is inevitable. This is due to government regulations. If you want a big V8 then buy one and keep it as a classic because at some point they will stop making them. This is a worldwide trend.

    It’s an EV! It has no turbocharger so lose the I C E technology Turbo badging. Come up with a different label to differentiate the high horsepower variant.
    How about something simple like the letter “S” for Surge of Super. Or perhaps two letters “H O” for High Output. Or how about a two lightning ⚡️⚡️bolt badge. 3:52 Or even a plus sign ➕ which looks like the letter “t” simple understated and is the first letter in the word ……….. turbo. LOL
    Words adjectives mean something. For a brilliant company the marketing division of Porsche is out of touch. Does Rimac use the term Turbo, does Tesla, does Lucid etc etc etc? If you are embracing the EV embrace the appropriate technology badging.
    Customers will not be confused if you stop using Turbo badging on an EV.

The regular chargers are so limited and don't work most of the time so a 500 mile trip will probably take you 4 days to get there because first no charger is there, second if there is charger, they never charge at advertised rate. you're crazy lol 305 miles is definitely enough. you don't buy an EV to drive across the country, if you need to do that buy something else. But as a standard vehicle to get around town, commute to work, run errands, etc...305 miles is definitely enough considering you can plug in and charge every night at home.

    Unfortunately this EV is not what the market is demanding. . Manufacturers have lost their minds and jumped in bed with government rather than competing in a free market.
    Hertz is now literally giving away 20,000 EV's no one would rent. Keep in mind that even EV owners were turning down the Hertz EV.

      Ev is exactly what the market is demanding. In 2023, bmw sold more i4 m50 than every msport/m car models. This includes m340i, m240i, m3, m4….. etc. People want the high performance ev more than anything else. Believe it or not the Porsche Taycan makes up almost 20% of Porsche sales, that is a huge amount considering they only have one electric model so far. Tesla model y is also the top 5 selling car worldwide and Hyundai Ionq is half of their vehicle sales. Companies that make poor products like ford had to cut production but good products gets a lot of sales.

    • @randyking1715
      @randyking1715 7 месяцев назад

      Nice try every major USA auto manufacturer has dramatically cut EV production. A friend who owns dealerships is telling me he cannot give away the Ford Lightening or Mach-E. Ford's own public filings show they lose on average of $36k per EV sold.

    • @dexi9814
      @dexi9814 7 месяцев назад

      @@randyking1715 Didn’t I just tell you that ford is making poor products with heaps of issues. Of course it won’t sell. Look at what BMW’s head of m division is saying. The i4 sales are so good that they’re going to release a full m electric in 2027. He was even surprised that the i4 took bmw’s sales by storm. It’s not that people don’t want ev’s. It’s that people don’t want bad products and a good ev will sell like hotcakes.

    • @randyking1715
      @randyking1715 7 месяцев назад

      @@dexi9814 not to beat a dead horse. However, you do make an excellent point regarding a great product. But I do believe that we are making a significant mistake by for the most part leaping over the hybrid model, one exception is Toyota who is selling hybrids to the masses rather than a select few. My business takes me around the globe and frankly the best vehicles to rent are diesel hybrids around the EU, wish they would bring this combo to North America. Frankly one issue we should all consider with full EV is where the Lithium comes from, child slavery and disposal of Lithium batteries: neither are very pretty.
      Once again you make a very good point with quality.
