Wow, what a beautiful home! I am a single retired woman looking for my own shed to house "home" of my own one, but in an apartment lease until next year. My once nice apartment has turned into a slum area and I have got to get out of here. I would like to get my shed home started now (plus need to find "affordable" land" for my home), but my only money I'm going to be able to use is what I'm paying in rent. I feel really stuck at this point and hope there will be some way to figure out how to not be homeless because the only way I will be able to save a dime is when I am out of my apartment. Just want my simple shed home to enjoy my retirement years and it is all I think about every day.
I don't live in a apartment but I am where you are with (2) cause both our places we live in is not big enough for the 2 of us so we have to live in 2 plcs which means double the bills which don't help save. That's why I'm on here trying to figure out @ our age -60-70 & on a 3000 a mon fixed income & from what I've been hearing on here is depending on how cheap you can get by with & still look good it can run into some $ so you HAVE to weigh the odds, BUT there are some GREAT benefits in something like this, & that's you can have say over YOUR LIFE & stop making apts richer & you have no say they can kick you out ANYTIME They Get a WILD HAIR IN THE WRONG PLACE.
I’d love to find some land back east/south to put 5 of these... 1 for each of my 4 sons and 1 for me and wifey. Kinda like a family neighborhood. Maybe even put 1 for my sister and 1 for my in-laws.
Cut scenes always throw off the actual feel of the floor plan, I'm half way in the video and already wished they would have showed more of the inside 😏
You can learn to do the parts that you can handle yourself, and hire professionals for the rest. He chose a bare shell because he's very skilled but we offer a Premium Package option that includes insulation, electric, HVAC, etc. We don't offer plumbing but that's easy to find locally.
how much is the estimate you spent to make this garden shed into a house? like the expenses for insulation, wiring, plumbing, wall, flooring.. just tryna get the estimate how much to prepare because we thinking to get one of this would be easier and faster instead of building in the back our land.
It really depends on what the building materials market is like in your area. There's no way we could estimate it for you. We do offer most of the items you listed though so it could leave our manufacturing facility almost ready to live in. Right now it is just myself, my daughter and our 8 month old olde english Bulldogge living in a house where it is getting cramped up by the minute with people......I would LOVE something like this in a place where I can not be too far from shopping centers, my daughter can possibly ride a bike to school or take a school bus...and we can have it look the way WE want it to look.

We offer spray insulation under the floor, we apply it before it leaves our manufacturing facility. Not everyone blocks in the crawlspace, some use siding, or metal, or lattice, and tons of other options. Customers do that themselves so it's whatever they prefer.

Would those piers u had poured be considered footings? I ask bc the city I live in requires 42 in footing for a foundation
You need to get clarification from your city on how they define footing. That could vary from city to city.

We do not. He did all of that himself. We dropped off an empty building, and this is what he did with it. Pretty amazing.

Was the foundation put in first and a crane used to place on the foundation, or shed delivered , then jacked up to do the foundation?
I'm not sure of the specifics but he said he poured concrete piers to set it on, then laid block up to the perimeter.
Under the house what other options do you have to cover the bottom of the home ?

I'd have put a transom window in the bathroom in the shower stall.
We do offer custom windows and doors so that's something we handle VERY often. No problem!
