@@LordCrate-du8zm I think part of that is them being on a very bright backdrop (the white and orange manta). They look like the type of models that look great in person.

This was fantastic! Relatively civil match, both players kept their cool. @Glasshalfdead gave some great commentary to the match, sounded a bit like one of his guides. Need to get more KT Challenger going, was one of the best things on the channel. Also… more SM Steve cracking the $hits when he gets owned - makes for excellent viewing. They got a buff recently, so they’re a little bit better now with the rubrics, but could still do with a tweak on their tac op archetypes. But kill team is still freakin’ amazing fun!

Hot damn. Tenth Ed has really overshadowed everything around it, I completely forgot how badass Kill Team is. Made me remember my mad ideas of making a Slaanesh crew using chaos-ified Sisters and some House Escher models as cultists.

Very kind of Andy not to turn 1 first activation alpha strike his grenadier on those 7 bunched up models lol. Fun game! Love seeing alternative type battlefields in kill team. If you're not a Kill Team player, give it a shot! You likely have the models already to play a compendium team, or even proxy models for a bespoke team! The rules are super fun once you get the hang of it, and the combat system is very thematic from cover and line of sight, to shooting and melee combat.
My kindness was in not using any of my elite points on that shot ;)

So this is my first time actually watching a game of kill team. I can see why people like it. I like the idea of a condensed group fighting as single units.
It also obviously is much easier to afford than a 2.000 points army !
While being a good idea for a more detailed painting project.
A very loveable game mode indeed.

As far as i know the further drone positioning using the drone controller "drone scout" ability imply that It has to be on conceal.

Wait a minute.. Kasrkin gets 2 elite points each Strategy phase AND another 2 elite points as long as the Sergeant is alive. "Leadership: In each Strategy phase, add 2 Elite points to your pool." Andrew missed out on ALOT of Elite points.

People have joked about the manta being big enough for Kill team, and I never thought it'd be a good idea, being so open. They did a great job breaking it up with the obscuring smoke, and turned it into a very good board.
As far as the cinematic nature, Nick was a good sport and let Andy "kill" the Manta at the end. I like to think the kill happened too late and the Manta still launched 8 crisis and 4 devilfish full of fire warriors over their deployment zone before going down.
End of turn 2. Nick knocked a critical hit to a five. His target lived because it saved vs one Crit and two hits. Should have been two Crits. May have made a difference?

The day before this me and Nick recorded a how to play kill team video. Due to some weird schedules and external stuff, that video isn't going to be edited into something watchable.

This is so amazing. I love the Manta and would love to see more, but it being one of these huge and pts heavy models makes it logical, why there aren't that many battles with it. A battle ontop of a Manta is good enough, I guess and very epic.

Can’t wait for this! Been excited ever since the prospect was brought up during the build videos. Really reminds me of the Mass Effect 3 citadel DLC, the arena map Wingman. Fighting on top of a flying aircraft is so cool!

I’d love to see more big point narrative style games like the 8000 point tyranid invasion video you did. (It’s one of your most successful videos too) thinks like Custodes in the webway taking on hordes of daemons or similar.

An amirable game all around. I don't get to watch a lot of Play On these days, but I think this is the first time I've seen T'au Nick win a game, so my applause to him. I will also definitely be checking out Glass Half Dead as well.
I'd STRONGLY recommend checking out the other game I played against Steve. It's members only for Play On Tabletop, but it was honestly, imo, the much better game of kill team! I'm trying to convince them to release it still ;)

Does anyone know who was their sponsor for that awesome paint thats on Nick's pathfinder's team ? I cant remember in which YT video they showcase them. Looked on their website, in their about section but nothing. Could be a great addition to add a list of the sponsor somewhere instead of digging through videos

You cannot play reposition the first turn! :) PS: You also forgot that you generate 2 elite points each turn for free and 2 from sergeant. So a) you start the turn one with 14 elite points effectively b) even if your sarge is dead you still have some to spend.
This was filmed prebuff so the additional 2 per strategy phase hadn’t happened at that stage.

Yeah so I had never played kasrkin before and all I knew for strats was "reposition every turn" as my game plan. So that one's on me!
This was a great battle, if y'all ever do a battle on a manta or any other vehicle how about adding a ''velocity hazard'' roll to see if anyone flies off the vehicle since it's moving :P
On a 6 it does a barrel roll!
The kraken grenade doesn't have blast is the most warhammer rule iv ever heard.
Frag grenade has blast, kraks are for single more armoured targets really
@@hugheja89in kill team where everything is infantry it doesn't make sense that a super anti armor grenade won't hurt the guy standing half an inch away
oh that's cool, there's also a scenario from 3rd edition that deals with zero-G / no-atmosphere fighting on some asteroid or dead planet. I've always wanted to do something like fighting over some listening post or something seemingly unimportant yet worth fighting over (like one asteroid from the Ciaphas Cain books). Where the Space Marines or Stormtroopers and so on are actually fighting in space.
